10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners very welcoming and informative, friendly. Very clean place. Beds very comfortable. Brilliant shower. Breakfast cooked to order so fresh and hot. Poached eggs were done to perfection!
Cons: Nothing really . Wifi didn't work in our room but wasn't a problem for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Off street parking, plus place to securely lock up bikes. Welcomed with fresh (proper!) coffee, tea and cake to sit in the garden. Fridge for guests use in the dining room (idea to chill drinks), and microwave if want to bring in own food for the evening. Host's VERY friendly, and happy to suggest places to see / anything you need in the room, food etc. Breakfast freshly cooked to order, plus fresh fruit (in our case strawberries as in season), home made jams. Did not go hungry! Beds very comfortable to sleep in.
Cons: Traffic noise if in a room at the front - as it is on the main road, but then not something you can change! Only noticeable as very warm (hottest days of the year!) when were were there, so windows wide open. For the other 360 days of the typical UK year, not an issue, as good double glazing to keep noise out!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: OUTSTANDING HOSPITALITY AND HUMOUR. AVAILABLE AND PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE SURROUNDING AREA. THAT OWNERS HAVE NO PETS AND NO PETS ARE ALLOWED.
Cons: HAVING TO SAY GOODBYE
9.5 Excellent

Pros: Very warm welcome from the hosts which included a pot of tea with cakes. They were excellent throughout and even provided a map with recommendations on places to visit. Breakfast was also first rate
Cons: Our room was a bit small as was the bathroom which I think larger people would have found challenging to use. Located at the traffic lights on a busy road would not be my first choice and the noise from passing vehicles woke us early, about 5.00am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, clean and comfortable
Cons: Nothing

Pros: great breakfast,great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked a large double room with a balcony for a two night stay. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy. The bed was really comfortable. Sharon and Steve gave us a great welcome and invited us to their pop-up pub that evening, which was a really fun night. We met their friends and neighbours and felt we were part of the community! Their garden is amazing and we were invited to share it whilst we were staying there. The breakfast at Narpenny House was really very good. I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs, but you'll be hard pressed to find one run by such kind and generous hosts.
Cons: Nothing not to like

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere created by attentive staff. The courtyard room offered privacy in a beautiful setting. Food and service were excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was a very peaceful calm air throughout. Staff were friendly and though we should have made more of the facilities we could not do everything and so was our choice
Cons: A lit make-up/shaving mirror in the bathroom other than that no suggestions.

Pros: So welcoming wonderful staff & beautiful inside and out. A real haven.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fab staff and just lovely hotel with fantastic ambience in a country setting. Food was excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting was lovely. The staff were courteous, helpful and efficient. The food was good, but vide infra!
Cons: The buildings are tired and disappointingly shabby on the outside. Dirt and cobwebs around the soffits. The windows to our room needed cleaning. On Saturday evening we ordered our food while having a drink by the bar. We were invited to our table at the time we had our reservation and our starter arrived promptly which was delicious. We then sat and waited for 30 minutes - nothing. I asked a waitress why there was a delay and was told our main courses were on the way. Another 10 minutes and I asked to see the Maitre de. She apologised for the delay but could not give a reason. We sat and watched as other diners who had come to their tables after us were served their whole meals. I asked to speak to the Duty Manager. She again apologised and said she had spoken to the chef but couldn't understand the delay. Eventually, 45 minutes after the starters our meal arrived - barely warm. I had lost the will to send it back by then. There was obviously a problem that they were not willing to explain. If any of the staff had recognised that a delay was happening they could have defused the situation with a timely apology while we were waiting but patently, until I brought it to their attention, nobody was aware of the abysmal service that they were providing. Very disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting ,excellent facilities staff were very helpful definitely recommend and use again
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It’s nice and compact so you are not far from any of the facilities. The garden room we had allowed direct access to the Spa and Swimming Pool without having to walk through the main hotel in your robes which was handy. Service at the Spa, bar and restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel and a really lovely setting - the staff are friendly and the facilities are great. I LOVE it!
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Service was generally excellent, hotel is very well maintained and spotless, evening food was excellent and the spa is well kitted out. Fantastic location and also near and excellent (and related) pub, the Three Horseshoes.
Cons: Lack of a gym seems like a real missed opportunity when comparing it to the competition, particularly given the spa offering. Other than this we had a few minor faults (which i stress would not stop us staying here again - we would) being a broken hot water tap in our bathroom and a disappointing breakfast for one of us (order was largely ignored and was overcooked/service was slow).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay here for our mini moon. The stunning house was very tastefully renovated. Beautiful grounds, amazing food and very attentive service. We’ll be back.
Cons: No air condition
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean and regularly serviced. The location was good and very handy for exploring the Brecklands, Sandringham and the Norfolk coast.
Cons: The restaurant food although well put together and presented was over seasoned. Delicate shellfish such as scallops were so salty that they were not recognisable for what they were and fish generally was spoiled. Even the fiet steak one evening was served with a more than generous sprinkling of rock salt in addition to cooking seasoning. We considered having no tea making facilities in the room a handicap.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness and helpfulness of staff, beautiful surroundings and fabulous food

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was brilliant!! Only a few minutes walk from a beautiful park and a little further to the town centre.
Cons: In an ideal world slightly bigger rooms - but not a big issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are welcoming and well-informed, helpful and tactful. There is an exceptionally beautiful garden with arbours in which guests can sit -- in summer there was a profusion of flowers at all heights. The rooms are decorated in a tasteful, homely way. There is a thoughtful folder of information about the area. Everything has been done individually and is restful without being bland. A nice surprise is a real cafetière in the room and a drawer full of glass jars of different things to make warm drinks, and pretty tins of handmade biscuits.

Guests at The Hero can enjoy a Full English/Irish or a vegetarian breakfast. At the accommodation you will find a restaurant serving British cuisine. A vegetarian option can also be requested. Kings Lynn is 41 km from The Hero, while Cromer is 43 km away. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport, 58 km from the bed and breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was in a quiet village next to the salt marches and near the sea. The Hero is recently refurbished in a sympathetic modern style. The whole experience was good and I am pleased we did not opt for the nearby 'popular' resort of Well Next the Sea. We were blessed with woderful weather and managed lots of walking in a short time. The local life seems relaxed and sociable. The food was a big cut above what one would expect from a pub. I recommend the lobster. The staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming.
Cons: A bit more space in the room for storage would have been useful, but ours was the smallest (and cheapest) of the three rooms offered. To mention 'sea view' was a bit stretching it, but not something I would not complain about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a few hundred yards from the river(is it a river or estuary?) - one of the most scenic places I have visited. The Hero seems to have a motto of only the best - everything was the best quality. Breakfast was superb Staff were lovely
Cons: The room was compact - but we had chosen the small one on price so could not expect more.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, very friendly staff, nice and clean.
Cons: Wardrobe hanging space was limited.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Food was lovely, staff excellent and it was ideally situated for lovely long coastal walks
Cons: I would have liked a chair to sit in I stead of the bed , but the room was smaller than I thought but was clean and modern,
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old pub with a wood fire which we needed on a cold June evening! The room was pleasant with a new bathroom & a large shower. It was very close to the North Norfolk coastal path which is unspoilt & very atmospheric. The evening meal was good & the breakfast excellent.
Cons: The room was rather small with just a standard double bed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room, great breakfast
Cons: Tv wasn’t working in our room
7.5 Good

Pros: Such a lovely riverside location; dog friendly room (Custom House) was perfect for our needs and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: We stayed on a Friday night so there was half an hour of loud music nearby before we went to bed but it didn’t keep us up so not a big problem

Pros: Last minute plan to visit King's Lynn. Could not have been more satisfied with the heritage experience at Bank House! Right in the heart of historic King's Lynn, right along the river, just steps away from all the sights and experiences of this medieval gem. The room was authentically furnished, with right amount of modern comforts. Felt very much like a high end B&B stay. Restaurant was excellent, offering a broad range of quality fare. Friendly, professional service; staff went out of their way to make you feel at home. First-class experience from start to finish.

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St Jude’s B&B. Our Family Room was neat and tidy, with very comfortable beds - meaning a peaceful nights sleep after long nearby walks. The bathroom is modern and immaculately clean. Gwen (the B&B owner) was very accommodating and made our stay very pleasant, giving us advice on nearby places to eat, enjoy a drink and walking trails. I would certainly return and recommend to all.

Pros: Friendly owners, nothing was too much trouble, lovely room, very clean. Would 100 per cent recommend.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: breakfast staff & service excellent. Might be better marketed as a guest house rather than a hotel as we expected better facilities as in a hotel like a lift to upper floors However the staff were excellent and accomodation was made for us. we did enjoy our stay and would recommend this to travellers using guest houses on a regular basis just not for crippled 90 odd year olds. beer was cold though
Cons: nowt

Pros: Excellent place to stay - staff are super friendly and couldn’t do more to help us. Rooms were spacious with good facilities. Breakfast & bar was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Cons: There seemed to be confusion about payment when paid through booking.com, ensure you have the confirmation of payment email to hand. The staff were very helpful and it was quickly sorted. Room was on the warmer side but they had left a fan to help!

Pros: Delightful country pub; great welcome, good room, lovely restaurant and great food, relaxed and charming staff, excellent breakfast. A really pleasant stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, dinner was mixed- superb duck salad for starter, but the steak was a bit disappointing- but the chips were excellent, nice to have a range of ice cream for dessert, and sensible price per scoop Breakfast was good, and staff very friendly
Cons: The overly artificial strong smell of air freshener was very off putting, and the one in the room clashed with the one on the landing! This is the main thing that let an otherwise charming pub down!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent for us. Had a local park just around the corner which was ideal for us as our dog travelled with us. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The dog was even given a sausage.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The room was fresh and clean. The bathroom had new facilities. The bed was comfy.
Cons: The room was warm and the window could only open a little. Although the beds were really comfy instead of a double bed it was 2 singles pushed together with a large gap in between and a duvet that then didn't cover both people.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely house, good size rooms & large bathroom. Comfy & clean. Good breakfast. Parking.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Really nice comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely hotel, staff, cleanliness, food, all good.
Cons: nothing.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location and dog friendly , with a lovely residents garden. Rooms were well equipped and a decent size.
Cons: We didn’t find the beds very comfortable but realise this is a personal preference situation. There was a chair in our room that was badly stained, letting down the overall impression of the room. Breakfast was not brilliant either.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The receptionist Donna was very helpful and pleasant. She seems to be the only member of staff who knew what they were doing. We appreciated the upgraded room as it was satisfactory. We would be concerned at the standard of any rooms lower than this.
Cons: Awkward access to the building. Very noisy driveway which kept us awake in the night although this was not the fault of the hotel. The evening meal was awful. We did eat quite late but the burger was solid and cold. The Mediterranean tarts were resembled a cheap pizza with little taste. We didn’t complain at the time as the waitress disappeared for ages. We did say it was ok as we were tired and just wanted to get it over with. The breakfast was poor in most respects. Cheap bread/ cooked ingredients. The fruit salad was nice. The waitress was clueless and Donna had to rescue everything! We were really sad and felt very let down.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place and nice friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean and comfortable. Looked after our dog too with a sausage for breakfast.
Cons: Breakfast was a little pricey

Cons: One minor gripe...a hotel of this quality should have wifi access in all rooms - I'm sure it will come
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious room within a lovely well laid out estate. Our room was part of a square of rooms (buildings) surrounding a lovely garden with a fountain and pond in it. Very quiet and relaxing. Food was very good and the hotels position is close to the RSPB reserve, and also miles of quiet coastline.
Cons: There was nothing we didnt like about the place.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet at. Night. Next to Rspb reserve. On bus route (go on leave your car at home!) staff help full. No surcharge for single traveler. Comfy bed. Wish I had used the hot chocolate and shortcake provided.
Cons: Had to wait a while for main meal probably because big groups get priority over single guest for serving. Could not work out how to work bed side lights or clock alarm.
