9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing resort made so by the staff who were extremely helpful and friendly. They always had a smile and willing to do anything to make your stay perfect. The bungalows were large and very clean with big comfortable beds and views out to the sea or gardens which the staff kept immaculate. The resort’s beach is also lovely. The water is warm and shallow. It can be rocky in places and further out but not an issue at all. The food was amazing! We never had a bad meal. I’ve read some negative reviews but those came from people criticising the pizza or burger and chips! Need I say more!? Don’t go to Thailand for American fast food. There was a great selection of fruit, eggs, cereals and Thai dishes for breakfast. The Thai food at dinner was fantastic; second to none. They also make a mean margarita!
Cons: As a general comment on properties in Thailand, it would be good if hotels employed people to clean the beaches. Storms whip up bits of rubbish which can take the shine off of the beauty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and staff.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent resort, lovely staff, good and varied food options and lovely atmosphere. Definitely a great place for a stay and from what we could see, the best place on the island. They helped arrange motorbikes, an excursion to see the dugongs and let us use the kayaks and snorkelling equipment off-the-beach.
Cons: Lots of plastic - it would be great if the hotel could use glass bottles that get refilled instead of plastic bottles, and get rid of plastic straws at the restaurant. Not always feasible but some of the beaches on the island have a lot of plastic pollution and it would be great to see that the resort is actively fighting that keep things clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've been to a lot of hotels and this beats the lot. The view from our room was perfect. You wake up and look directly at the sea and beach. The room is perfect .We were there in may and there were 6 guests. The restaurant is great .We ate there and also at the restaurant along the beach. We got a motorcycle from the shops nearby ..a little cheaper.and looked around the island..Great place.
Cons: The beach is very rocky.Be very careful . However you can swim in the pools.A little tricky to get there in the monsoon season. No big ferry, only a longtail boat and motorbike taxi but it's worth it.Bar shuts at 9.30pm but that's no big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most friendly and accommodating staff. They were willing to give more than their best to make our honeymoon perfect and they absolutely succeeded it. Thank you very much
Cons: Suggestions for even further perfection, but not actually anything negative here: 1. toothbrush and toothpaste can be included in the toiletries 2. a small non-smoking corner at the restaurant 3. a special dinner menu which is different from the basic menu maybe offering freshly local ingredients of each day
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredible and the location amazing. Khun Née was absolutely outstanding throughout our time there, so thoughtful and kind, she really made our trip one to remember
Cons: Using plastic straws
6.3 Good
Pros: This place has many cons, but it also has a lot of pros. Some of these minuses can be easily changed to attract tourists, and some of the pluses can be minuses for some tourists. The resort is clean with beautiful bungalows, although the pictures are professionally tweaked out and far from reality. The use of wood everywhere is fenomenal, large bathrooms, delicious breakfasts, the best pancakes we've had in our life!!!
Cons: No information that there's no ATM or money exchange on the whole island - the hotel should send such a message after booking by the guest. Unfortunately, he doesn't do it. The question is whether to offer guests exchange after a predatory course? It would not surprise me, because the hotel transfer is also a high inflated price, and the driver definitely refused to our friends to drive to the ATM, when we told them that there's any on the island. But the real rip off is the hotel's prices - all are given to the guests net and the service fee is added to the final price!!! What an outrageous habits! And it's happening in wonderful Thailand, where the "Westerner", tired of their ugly culture of money, comes to revive in the midst of human respect. You do not want to come back to such hotels in this country with a beautiful soul ... The garden is well maintained only in the depths, unused space by the beach, brushwood and dried remnants of grass. Lots of empty tables by the beach, but no cozy place, no couches, no pillows, no hammocks. A huge amount of bad chemistry in the pool, the water stinks with acid and harms the skin.  We all had inflamed irritation on large areas of the skin. The beach is cleaned, but the sea constantly throws out a lot of rubbish, especially a lot of broken glass. Right next to the resort is the village = one big garbage dump. Beach isn't nice, dark water, dark thick sand, no trees giving shade, nothing cozy or worth walking except fantastic crabs.
Nature Hill - Ko Muk - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (220 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A 5-minute walk from Charlie Beach, one of the nicest beach in Ko Mook, Nature Hill offers a good spot of nature and relaxing atmosphere. It is surrounded by the lush hills. Free WiFi is available. The accommodation is equipped with a fan, a balcony with seating and a private bathroom with a shower. Nature Hill's staff can assist guests with local information and activities. Bike rental services, transfers and boat trips can also be arranged. Restaurants can be found within a short walk. The area is popular for snorkelling and diving. The nearest airport on the mainland is Trang Airport.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bungalow and very helpful and relaxed host. We got a true island feeling staying at Nature Hill. The location is perfect. Just a couple 100 meters away from beautiful Charlie Beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We went in the low season, and it was the definition of "peaceful". You really are in the midst of nature, within a short distance to the beach, and steps away from the Hilltop Restaurant, which is amazing. We slept more during our three-night stay than I think we usually do in a week at home. We cannot wait to return!
Cons: Just an observation about the design - if you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, remember there is a step down towards the bathroom. We ended up putting one of the bathmats on the top of the step and one at the bottom to remind ourselves... other than that, the bungalows are well designed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's the best place to enjoy nature and greenery. The staffs / owners were really friendly! Surely will go back to this place during the peak season =)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived we weren't sure if we would like the place, (we thought the host didn't like us, but I think he was maybe a little bit shy) BUT in the end we extended our stay for two more nights, because we loved it so much! Sue and his husband and their cute son Hugo made us feel home and welcomed. The bungalows were sooooo pretty, the bathroom is a dream come true and the balcony and the view towards the jungle is amazing. The breakfast was perfect: huge portions with fresh fruits and great coffee as well - and you have to try the pancakes, they are delicious! The hosts gave us great recommendations where to have dinner - you should definitely try the "Hill top restaurant": the food was so good! I am already missing it. The beach is not far away, just a few minutes walk and you are at the "Charlie beach" with white sand, crystal-clear water and amazing sunsets. We always stayed at the "Mong bar", there you can have nice drinks and get the umbrellas and sun loungers for free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice people!!!!!
Cons: Nothing!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In a great location, 5 min walk to the beach. Lovely rooms, very comfortable bed & soft pillows!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing stay at Nature Hill which almost had a terapeutic effect on us. In the heart of nature you are 5 mins away from a great beach with good chill vibe bars while you can still taste a lot of local flavour if you visit the village on the other side of the island. The wooden bungalows were made with care and attention for every detail while the staff was very welcoming and really made us feel like at home. Breakfast was delicious too and they can arrange all sort of things for you ( massage, cave trip, kayaking, snorkeling , boat transfer, etc) with really good recommendations. Their hospitality was truly outstanding. Nature hill resonates perfectly with the feeling of the island, both the place and the sweet couple running it. Looking forward to going back in a few years and wish the owners best of luck!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful bungalows in a quiet, natural surrounding.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bungalow was top quality. The beds were very confortable. The location is close to the beach and the owners make you feel like if we were at home. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the island

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly friendly service and a beautifully designed resort. We had the bungalow that looks a bit like a shed in the pictures and it was superb! Amazing balcony pool, such comfy beds and beautifully appointed. The on site restaurant serves the usual island mix of Thai and westernn the pizzas are a real highlight. Can't recommend this place enough.
Cons: Nothing, it was incredible

Pros: This resort is very beautiful, and the boss is very friendly, they also got free transportation service on the island, and the restaurant's food is delicious, the staff in this resort are very passionate. Everything is perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful, clean, everything was great, practically had the place to ourselves as it was low season.
Cons: There was some other guests that was friends of the owners or something and thought they had run of the pool at night until 10pm which was inconsiderate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the Pool Villa for 5 nights and did not regret, Rooms and facilities beautiful but whats the best is the friendliness of all the people working at Mook Lamai. Breakfast is very good, you can have as much as you can eat from the menu (I recommend the Banana-Pancakes, yummy) and we had Dinner as well 2-3 times which was very good as well. We rented a scooter but they also have taxi transfer without any costs during the day. Take a private Longtail Boat Trip ( booked through Mook Lamai) to Koh Kradan, very beautiful. Would definitely return.
Cons: Beware of the sandflies on the beach :-(
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel which absolutely exceeded all our expectations and really made our stay in Ko Muk. The hotel staff are so helpful and arranged everything we wanted (boat trips, late check out etc). The rooms themselves are really lovely and the facilities are excellent. The pools are really nice and the hotel arranges transport so despite not being close to the beaches you can get dropped off their by bike. We had a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay again! Thanks to all the wonderful staff at Mook Lamai :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved lamai mook! Fantastic rooms and bathrooms. Enough space for two kids in the bedroom. Location is clean and big. The hotel manager tid is great

Cons: This resort is absolutely amazing. Check in was 10 out of 10 service, staff so helpful, happy & always smiling. Ben who drive the little cart for check in and check out was super helpful arranging a beautiful Birthday cake for me. Breakfast was very good with nice selection of western and thai food, fresh fruits & pastries. We stayed 5 nights in beach front villa, beautiful beach and location. Rooms were kept so clean, house keeping come twice a day. In the morning fresh sheets and clean, then again in the evening to collect any rubbish and put mosquito net over bed if you required. I never got bit once on our stay at this hotel. The grounds are kept so tidy, staff work all day long keeping the grounds spotless and always smiling. This resort in number one for me in Thailand I can't understand why it's only 3 star, it's more 4 star plus. There is not one thing I could fault, our stay was fantastic. 10 out of 10 reception service 10 out of 10 house keeping 10 out of 10 grounds keeping 10 out of 10 location. 7.9 Good
Pros: Nice room with a good shower and a beachy vibe
Cons: Kept getting harassed by the island dogs which meant it was kinda hard to hang out on the deck at night. It may be “beach front” property but the beach is mostly just a dock for fishing boats and long tails.

Pros: Very impressed with the services . A room was excellent and clean. The day we checked out for Lipe, Kritt had made it so right and arrange good transportations punctually. Pros: Staffś amazing, beaches dreamy! Thank you Genta and co for givning us marvelous week at the Reef, we’ll be back before you know it! Fred and Eva
Cons: Loved everything!

Pros: PHENOMENAL!!! From the very first moment we arrived at the Reef Resort, we felt relaxed & welcome. Genta & the team (Jack, Pla, Ann) are wonderful hosts. You can feel how much they love their job and taking care of the guests. Pure Hospitality! Cons: Nothing at all

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great stay on a beautiful island, the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, and the staff is super helpful with any kind of request. Would highly recommend staying here, and 5 stars to Genta who is super frindly and helpfull!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful resort in paradise! We highly recommend. There is great snorkeling just out front and even better at the southern tip of the island.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Gorgeous views of the green ocean and islands.
Cons: Garbage all over the beach in front of the resort! Unkempt. Staff also didn’t pick up garbage around the resort. All of the beaches on Kradan were covered in garbage. Totally filthy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The truly wonderful location. The friendly staff. The amazing snorkelling nearby. The excellent food and service. The quietness. No cars, no motorbikes, no noise.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The reef resort was one of approximately 6 other hotel/resorts on the island. Since we were visiting in May/June, the island was completely dead, only this and like 3 other hotels were open, which made the island so unbelievably beautiful and original. The resort kindly let us borrow their kajaks everyday for free, so we could go to every beach there is on the island and didn‘t see anybody else for the whole day. Definitely visit if you want to enjoy silence and relaxation, especially in the low season, where not even daytourists come anymore. Positive things in the resort: Good breakfast, directly on the beach, tasty dinner (pricier than other restaurants on the island, but still affordable and worth it!), very friendly & helpful staff, clean room service, clean pool. Good to know: Padthai chicken & iced coffee delicious. One minimart is open until the end of June, many good snorkeling spots. Definetly go in the ocean during the tide, we found starfish and even baby sharks!!
Cons: Nothing in the resort. Good to know though: If you’re thinking about visiting in the low season, you should know that getting to and of the island can get very pricy. Since there is no public ferry in the low season, we came with the four island tour, that included Ko Kradan (1500 Baht/person). For leaving you can either take a private boat to where you want(4000 baht/Boat) or boat+private taxi to Trang (2000 baht total). Ask other hotel guests when they are leaving, so you can share the price.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly crew, super clean and spacious room, nice terrace right at the beach. The hotel staf came to pick us up at the beach when the boat dropped us on the beach. The hotel is quiet. The food in the restaurant was delicious, true Italian food. Nice extra the kayaks were free.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s quite raw - not commercial island. There is a best coral area at the front of Coral Garden Resort. You can just walk a nd snorkeling at low tide. And play free kayak or swimming at high tide. Friendly staffs here . Highly recommended!
Cons: Shower water is too hot or cold , cannot adjust to warm. Italian food is good here , but Thai Food is too salty for us. Too many ants on the beach . But I think it’s same problem on this island. If there is free SUP to play is better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Right on the beach, beds, hammocks provided. You can use their kayaks for free. Friendly owner who takes good care of the property as well as the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was a lovely stay. I recommand YOU this hotel! So cosy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was really gorgeous an outstanding location secluded to one end of the resorts on the island which was very nice. The staff did a wonderful job of keeping the grounds cleaned from of any debris that may have washed ashore or fallen from any trees. I rated the value good and it is for the island everything is just a little more expensive there than on the main land but the restaurant was wonderful for every meal. They made many different home made breads that you would get with breakfast that were great, all the food we ate there was great but the bread for some reason just stood out for me. The staff was very helpful and attentive in everything that we needed. All in all it was a great stay in paradise at coral garden resort for three nights.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Food and location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly - hot water was great - property was beautiful + plus we were happy to have a bug net for extra protection.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner is lovely she will do her up most to look after you.wifi is great.free tea/coffee and water.
Cons: Wish there was a tv.no biggie though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice price to quality ratio, the garden was quite nice. There is a fridge and a kettle in every room. The tv didn't work at first, but the staff was albe to fix it. The staff does not speak much English, although they are quite helpful. Good wifi coverage, and mosquito net above the bed. We had a room with just a fan, but because the house seems to absorb quite a lot of heat during the day, I think it's better to go for the A/C option.
Cons: There is a construction site with some work ongoing, located just behind the resort, and it takes away from the nice veiw of the area.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly.
Cons: Very basic huts with no hot water in shower. Stayed three nights but room only cleaned once. Sink was blocked, towels were threadbare. Location was a minimum ten minute walk to Charlie Beach on road clogged with tuk tuk taxis.Very basic breakfast. Hotel only takes CASH payment despite booking.com confirming they took pre-payment on behalf of property prior to arrival
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff and local people in the island,so friendly
Cons: No air con although at night you did not need it. There was a safe but no instructions about how to use it TV in all rooms but not connected
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good bed, clean and nice surroundings. 10 minute walk to the best beach, Charlie's. Refrigerator is great if staying long time and 2 bottles of water each day. The owner speaks very little English but she is a fun lady. For further transport she also gives real prices and a discount for staying there. Very good value for money especially if staying more than a couple of days and negotiate a lower price. Koh Mook is very chilled, you can Pay 2 to 3 times the price on the 2 nearby islands to do the same but I would pick here.
Cons: If you can pick the right bungalow. The best are with trees at the back, it does get hot during the day. The build is very basic so expect wildlife in your room, the worst is the ghecko poo but very surprisingly very few mosquitoes.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was good for us as we hired a scooter. Very peaceful
Cons: Everything creaked. The floor and the bed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the resort is perfect to be at Charlie beach ( breathtaking sunsets) and breakfast was great to choose different menus. The staff was very helpful and really nice. Perfect service.

Pros: Close to Charlie Beach (10 minute walk), nice staff. WiFi was good.
Cons: The rooms were not very clean. Our first bungalow had a huge rat in the bathroom. We asked to change rooms. At first they didn’t have a room and offered to kill the rat, which I wasn’t a fan of. Fortunately they did find us another bungalow that seemed to be only slightly more capable of keeping rats out. The beds were uncomfortable, as well. Not a lot of privacy as bungalows are not very soundproof.

7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice location on Koh Mook, friendly owner. Nice balcony and sea view. Air co and fridge in the room.
Cons: Room is a bit small: no space and no cupboard/shelf to even empty your suitcase (had to keep all clothes inside suitcase on the floor), barely enough room to walk around the bed when a couple of suitcases are there! Bathroom is very basic with little water pressure and the wall doesn't even go all the way up so you can hear and even see what's going on from the tiny room. It's also very smelly (mold and/or sewage) so everytime we came in the room we were a bit shocked by the smell but then got used to it. We found a big cockroach in the shower one night. The fridge is half full of solid ice which could be solved by unplugging it for 1 day and cleaning it... Shows a lack of care and maintenance. A bit pricey for the amenities you get but I guess it's the price to stay on cosy Koh Mook. You'll find much cheaper and better on Koh Lanta but it's a busier island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was like coming home. Everything was very clean and and you felt welcome all the time. There was beer and soft drinks in the fridge that you could buy. Free coffee at the "lobby". It didn't feel like a hotel or guesthouse...it felt like home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A charming place, tiny rooms with a beautiful terrace and a view of the sea - mornings and evenings unforgettable :) Very clean !!! The owner very nice and helpful. I highly recommend !! :) Thank you !! :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The lady of the house is a perfect host: very kind and helpful, she goes out of her way to please her guests and she speaks very good English. I stayed here twice and Yuat was the reason to come back here, felt like a member of the family! There's always coffee or tea for free at the reception. It is near the pier, near the market with lots of restaurants and near 2 lovely beaches. I can warmly recommend Seaside Home!
Cons: No real beach in front but the terrace is on the water.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place for those who are not interested in staying at typical tourist resorts.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We booked this hotel because of the great reviews of the owner. Unfortunately she was somewhere else, but even then she made sure everything was perfect for us. She helped us book a boat/snorkeling trip with one of the local fisherman which was perfect. It's a private tour and the people are extremely friendly. They have a cool bar just next to the pension.
Cons: It's not the fault of the owner, but we stayed there for three nights and the electricity went out on the entire island on two different days (just for a couple of hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect!
7.9 Good
Pros: The owner was super friendly and she took good care of us. Seaview room had beautiful view.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice overlooking the water. Host very Very helpful. Ac worked.
Cons: Expensive for what was offered. Bathroom more like a shower recess. Room tiny. Not very pretty neighbourhood.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The lady owner vert kind, the fantastic view.
Cons: A little bit expensive for such a little room.

Pros: Nice small bungalow with bathroom, hot shower and a balcony. Just 5 min walking to Charlie beach.
Cons: Just a fan so get extremely hot! No WiFi connection in the room and no breakfast included.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent if you wish to spend your time around Charlie beach. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the newer bungalows which was well equipped and a good size for two people sharing.
Cons: There were some ants in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was FABULOUS! They were very helpful and made sure to answer all of our questions. Everyone was genuinely friendly, as well. Bungalow was super clean. No issues at all, very happy with our stay (we stayed for about a week).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff, very friendly, helpful, and really kind. They can sale you tickets of speedboat, rent bike, rent kayaks, they make easy your stay there. The location is good for going to Farang Beach., surely the best of the island.
Cons: Cold water in shower, and necessary to use the mosquitonet at the bed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: At first we booked 3 nights but we extended our stay, we enjoyed Mookies so much. Very friendly staff, 5 minute walk to Charlie Beach, very nice bungalows in the nature and free bicycles you can take. About 10-15 min by bike to ‘centre’.
Cons: no hot shower but not really necessary no water dispenser machine but you get every day free water bottles in your own fridge.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were here in our honeymoon. We arrived on May 21st and stayed 5 nights. The weather was good, no too rainy, so the sun 'managed' to burn us despite the protection. The beach was close and ours (mine and my wife's) - there were barely some tourists on the island. We got many discounts during this period.
Cons: Be careful in the town and negotiate the prices. The people there does not have prices on clothes (they just tag them with prices when they see you)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing location, fridge, bungalows detached so no noise from next door, helpful staff (and easy to book taxis and a trip to the Emerald Cave), decent food in hotel restaurant, a short walk from the BEST beach in Koh Mook .. Charlie Beach is where you want to stay as the pier / ferry end of the island is, too put it frankly, not very nice looking! Everything you need is near Mookies, including the Hilltop restaurant 5 minutes up the hill .. and a couple of beach bars to watch the sunset ... marvellous ...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Big, comfortable and well- equipped bungalows (even the cheapest ones). - Beautiful environment. - Just a few minutes walk from the beach. - Charming, helpful hosts and very polite staff.
Cons: - It’s a bit far from town so you don’t have many options to eat or buy stuff around.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Well maintained and good value. Excellent system for hiring sea Kayaks, well organised and good value, highly recommended. Good hosts, nothing was too much trouble, I wish them every success.
Cons: A small detail, Butter instead of margarine at breakfast ?.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was basic. The room was a stand alone bungalow with a nice little balcony. There was only a fan to cool the room. The bathroom was basic but good water pressure.
Cons: Our fan exploded in the middle of the night and there was no-one around to assist with replacement. The bed was ok, nothing exceptional.

Pros: Friendly owner and good service.
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A lot of things. It was very clean, cheap, friendly, cosy and near the beach and all the restaurants. The two ladies was so nice and helpful with booking tickets and everything else. The aircon was great, breakfast was included in the price. We orderd extra pancake for our children. Cheap and tasteful.
Cons: The bed was very hard and there were some noise from the reggiebar nere by. But not so we couldnt sleep.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is great. You have free bikes to use around the island that is really small. If possible go to charlie beach and emeralds cave. After that its not much to do in the island. The climate there is a game changer. We arrived in the rain and was not that nice at all. Next day will full sun is another story.
Cons: There is a abar in front so you couldn't sleep until the music stops. They don't have that much night live so you want to go to bed early. The bed is kind of stiff and the breakfast is a no no. Is not worth paying extra for that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice quite place, good air con, close to restaurants and sivalai beach, free bikes on site, good breakfasts. We can recommend this place!
7.5 Good

Cons: A lot of noise from the road from 7am and from the bar opposite at night. Bathroom drains smell terrible due to plumbing. No staff on site after 5pm
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good clean room comfy bed and good air-conditioning.
Cons: Ask for a room at the back, away from the road.

4.6 Okay
Pros: The villa we stayed at was new and clean. The small pool outside our villa was very nice (the small pool was the reason we chose this hotel). Breakfast was good, staff helpful.
Cons: The hotel says its on the beach and it is... But you cant swim there. Its a 10-15 minute walk to the beach where you can swim /5min with taxi. Nearest Shop also 10min away by walking. You dont get good value for money, its way overpriced (we paid 94€/ per night) . View that opened from the bed was the sea and the trail where everyone walked; staff and guests. Privacy you got when curtains were closed. A/C was located behind the bed, so it was blowing all the time on you in every position of the a/c. Service that the hotel offers are overpriced (we rented a scooter) and asked for a longtail boat and it was more expensive than at the beach. In the end we were both wondering "what we paid for?"
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bungalows of Mook Tamarind Resort were quite new. The resort was clean but in the surrounded area there was partly quite a lot of plastic waste. We had a Bungalow with glass front where you had a directly view to the sea and the mangroves. Early in the morning you could watch the sunrise directly from your bed while having a cup of coffe. For breakfast you can choose out of 10 different menues e.g. American breakfast, pancake with Jam, yoghurt with fresh fruit.... coffe, tea and juice. The breakfast was prepared fresh. The staff was very nice and courteous, the rooms were very clean and made up every day. As the resort is a bit outside the City Center, they offer a transfer by motorbike which is 50bath pp. one way. You can also rent bikes for free or a kayak to see the surrounding beaches for 400bath/day. Only negative point was that you can not swim in the sea in front of the resort as there are mangroves. But within 5 minutes you are at different beaches where you can swim and snorkel. Would definitely recommend to stay in this resort!
Cons: Only negative point was that you can not swim in the sea in front of the resort as there are mangroves. But within 5 minutes you are at different beaches where you can swim and snorkel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved riding around the island on motor bike
Cons: They need to provide top sheet for bed I ask and got one
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The cabins, patio, small pools and bathrooms are simply fantastic. Wonderful people. Kind, helpful staff. A fantastic place for tranquil, romantic getaway
Cons: The beach in front is part mangrove and not for swimming. But charlie beach is a very close scooter ride and they have free bikes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was outstanding. The staff amazing and went above and beyond with our stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good to get to other beaches
Cons: Noisy nights unloading boats at night. Far too much money. Should be at least 1/3 cheaper
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff are brilliant and will help organise trips, transfers, etc. This is a great place to see the sunrise. Spectacular. The restaurant at the resort is very cheap and the food good. Bikes can be borrowed free and are a great way to get around the island. The roads are quiet and fairly flat. A motorbike taxi will cost just 50bhat pp anywhere on the island.
Cons: Koh Muk is quite undeveloped and this is reflected in the accommodation available. This is okay and probably the main reason most people come here. However, the cost of our room here was the same as a much bigger and nicer room in a proper resort on Koh Lipe. There are a lot of stray dogs roaming around in packs. What looks like a beach in front of the 'resort' is a gravelly shallow area with clumps of mangrove. Nice to look at. Be aware that the road doesn't reach the resort but ends at a beach about 200mts from the resort. This isn't a problem as the staff at the resort will help you with your bags.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was like having a private beach, just for the residents. Although it was sandy/pebbley, there were full grown trees growing up through the sand, and lots of stalks sticking up from the sand. Hence not a bathing beach. But a very natural beach. Would not alter it for the world. The best Pad Thai I have had in Thailand, and have been to Thailand four times in the last six years. Good cook. Fresh cooked fish that fell off the bone, tasted divine. Staff very helpful. Eager to please.
Cons: Could you add Muesli to the breakfast menu.

7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast buffet was wonderful and changed everyday with many options. Staff warm and accomodating.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Dada is a great host, she goes out of her way to make sure you enjoy the island and all it has to offer, the food and drink at the property was nice and all the staff make you feel welcome, scooters are cheap and well worth renting to visit Charlie beach, the young ones in the family are very well behaved, playing on the beach with not a care in the world, very nice to see kids being kids.
Cons: Its a garden resort so expect animal noises during the night and the odd lizard in the bathroom
7.1 Good
Pros: I enjoyed the location of the garden bungalow - it was a short tuk tuk ride from the pier (50 baht per person flat fee to go anywhere on the island), and you could walk everywhere. Staff give you a map and talk you through all the walks you can do. Staff were really helpful and friendly, we were given a cold drink on arrival. The resort was friendly and quiet, with a nice restaurant, a small beach which was mainly only used by guests and a small pool - all excellent. Bikes and kayaks were available to use, and scooters could be hired for 200 baht a day. The boat trips on offer at reception represented fantastic value for money. The Longtail boats pick you up from the beach right on the door step, and you can do anything from a private boat, small tour or quick transfer to a deserted beach. Having breakfast included was a big bonus. I found it to be really nice - Thai tea/coffee, two juices (watermelon and pineapple), pancakes, donuts, toast, fried rice, fruit were all available. I would use this as a base for Koh Muk again and recommend it to others.
Cons: We booked the 500 baht bungalow so we knew it would be basic, but we weren't expecting it to be so tiny! Usually a bungalow at this price point will have a mattress on the floor, mosquito net, fan, approximaltely a meter of space all-around the bed and a bathroom. The bed in this bungalow was touching the wall on three sides, and when you opened the door there was about 50cm of space left on one side of the bed to fit luggage, a fan and also to get to the bathroom. Most people immediately paid extra to be upgraded to bigger rooms after being shown the 500 baht bungalow they had booked. We needed to stick to budget so just squashed in, but as the fan had to go at the side of the bed it was so much hotter at night than a normal bungalow which made it hard to get to sleep. Tattoo bungalow offers the same size bungalow for 300 baht. Other resort's offer larger bungalows for 500, so whilst it wasn't a deal breaker (especially with a free breakfast to make up for it), it did make it less of a good deal. My only other niggle was over charging. We paid as we went along but on the last night we were asked to just pay in the morning. Our food bill had another 10 baht added on by that time. We just paid it as it was a small amount and may have been a genuine mistake, but if that happens every time it adds up. So I would recommend saying no thanks to putting all bills on the room and paying at the end, and just pay as you go to avoid over charging.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff running this place is very nice! Always ready to help you out and solve problems. Breakfast in the morning was amazing and in general they have very good food at the restaurant.
Cons: It's not a negative point, but just know that the bungalows are very basic (like most of them around the island). Overall it was a nice stay.
7.1 Good
Pros: Solitude
Cons: No ac in bungalow, mosquitoes
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool was very clean and large and perfectly located between the plants. In general i liked the set up of the whole resort. Also you could book some tours there for example to emerald cave and snorkeling at koh kradan (just 20 min with the longtail boot away) we had a private boot for two for just 400 baht per person. Really nice and the cheapest tour so far. The resort is directly located at the beach, but you cannot swim there. Food is also very good there.
Cons: It was not soo clean and they did not clean the room when i stayed there 6 nights. But for the price i think thats okay.
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, they thoughtfully upgraded our friend so her room would be closer to ours. Their welcome was very friendly with Thai tea welcome drink and they helpfully suggested things to do around the island and organised a long tail boat for us to use for one day of our stay.
Cons: It would be nice if the windows in the rooms had mosquito screens and the mosquito nets provided did not have holes in them. This resort is definitely more acceptable to Thai people than westerners, thought the staff had reasonable English the breakfast was a very Thai meal and the rooms were more a Thai standard than a Foreigner standard.
7.5 Good
Pros: The service from Dada and her family was outstanding - they really went out of their way to accommodate their guests, and assist wherever possible. Hammock outside the hut was well used! :) Location is fantastic - resort is right on the beach. Food is delicious.
Cons: For me, I found the bathroom facilities were not great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The huts were an improvement on where we'd just come from. It's a beautiful place, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the sea with hammocks and swings dotted about. You get free breakfast which is basic but sets you up good for the day. The food is also decent. Free bicycle hire and free kayaks which was great as we had never gone snorkelling before so we could go out to a nearby spot and try it at our own pace. This served us well for the trip the next day (organised by Garden Beach) where we went to a number of great snorkelling locations. Laundry service was fine. You don't pay for anything until the last day but everything was spot on. During the last night, a dog stole one of my flip flops from our balcony. I spotted it in the main area as one of the girls had spotted it on the road and brought it back! Amazing!
Cons: Nothing. Loved it. Koh Mook is beautiful too.

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location - close to restaurants and beach, friendly owner and staff, clean, free fruit plate as christmas gift, large table with a few chairs to sit with bigger group, shampoo and soap supplied
Cons: Road outside very noisy, no mosquito net (there are heaps of mosquitoes), no tea - only coffee is supplied, aircon only for extra charge
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice big double bed. Everything new and therefore feeling very clean. Nice amount of hangers and rails outside and inside. The fan was free standing and could be moved, that was nice, but a longer electrical chord would have made that possibility even nicer. Option of self made tea and coffee ( in communal area) at any time very nice. Sometimes water bottles and watermelon in the morning. Amazing quality wifi.
Cons: Room gets very warm due to big windows, aircon was too strong, not possible to lower it, but after turning it off, room would get too hot very fast. We began to use to fan instead. Generally for all places, when getting a double room, hotels ought to offer guest 2 keys. Sharing room doesn’t mean to be tied to each other constantly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s clean and comfortable. Very strategic location. It’s near the center, the beach and pier. The owner P’Jack is also very hospitable and accommodating. Highly recommended.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room clean and comfortable, just few hundred meters from main street
Cons: No real reception, sometimes difficult to find someone
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 4 nights in Lucky bungalows and we were happy with everything. It was clean, has good location, got free coffee and in the morning. Very satisfied.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Property looks as it does in ad. Free Coffee and water was provided. Also an outdoor table and sitting area. Lounge Chairs on personal patio. Drying rack for clothes, beach towels etc. Soft soap dispenser in bathroom. A/c was a nice relief as it was hot but a fan was also available in our room. Large fridge. Well maintained property. Very colourful and rather cute. Bicycles and mopeds available for rent. I’d recommend taking a bicycle to explore the small streets and pathways of the island to see how the islanders live. Reminded me of the Thailand of 30 years ago. Rubber trees galore. You can Also bike to Charlie beach and it’s a short walk to beautiful Sivalai Beach.
Cons: 1. Cool water for shower. No control of water temperature. Wasn’t a huge problem as it was refreshing. 2. By NO FAULT of the property owner, a Reggae bar is near by which usually starts up playing loud music around 8 and finishes up at midnight. If you love Reggae then you won’t mind but if you don’t, then you may.
7.5 Good
Pros: The owner is really kind and the size of the place quite cozy not too big so it's good for your quiet vacation
Cons: They don't have hot shower
