The relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and the excellent location on the beach and clost to the Bophut village. The Thai foor we ate at the hotel wasn't the best we ate in Thailand. Not bad but not what you would expect at this kind of hotel.
athmosphere of a spa-hotel (tropical garden all around the place with the aroma of frangipani and other tropical flowers, your room will look like a spa actually), decent beach (sometimes there is some silt on the surface of water), well enough chairs and towels both on the beach and at the pool, rich breakfast with both european and thai food expensive restaurant and bar (that's the only disadvantage!)
Very impressive looking. Very nice infinity pool. Beach is not so nice, ( nothing like Chaweng beach..) we stayed at infinity pool the whole time. Expensive drinks and food.
The tropical garden was excellent. The design and spa of the hotel was wonderful, just the prices a bit too high for Thailand. Staff was very kind. The area where it is situated is very urban and populated. I thought it would be in a more natural area, but after driving around the Koh Samui island we realized that all the island is like this, no desert beaches, so in fact this was also OK.
everything was grate , just the breakfast options was bit short , was full of meskitto in the room everyday , the besd was not soft
the thing i liked best of all was that my large breasted girl friend did deep throating me until i stamped on my toothpaste i really enjoyed that as it was the first time she had peroformed such an act on my person. swallowed the lot too! well she tried to use a butt plug on me and i found it uncomfortable
amazing hospitality.loved the greenery all around the resort , the staff was very friendly and helpfull. They didnt say no for anything we asked for. location is amazing. would surely go back again. Outstanding........ The mosquitoes are huge......thats about it.
staff very sweet and helpful, food via room service and restaurant very tasty and reasonably priced, this is a really good resort for kicking back by the pool or on the beach and relaxing, though you are still close enough to all the action of chaweng within a short walk the bed was extremely hard (though as I found out throughout my trip this was common to all hotel beds in Thailand!). The booking.com website says that you don't need to pay til you get there, however we had a week booked at the hotel and they contacted me a week or so prior to pay for it in full to hold the booking. This is a good hotel nontheless and when we went back through samui after being on the islands we chose to stay here another night
The convenient position eg. front entrance on main street, back was on beach. Everything was within walking distance. Can't think of anything
The service and hospitality were warming and immaculate. Hotel restaurant outlets were relatively cheap compared to other 5* hotels plus they provide delicious daily fruits and snacks for every room. Rooms are very comfortable, and I esp loved the balcony bathtub. Absolutely would return again!!
The service was outstanding.
Service, absolutely fantastic
Sandalwood villas where beautiful, set in the most idillic location with probably the best views we have ever had in a hotel on holiday. The staff where wonderful and we would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.Perfect
The staff is very accommodating. The attention to detail and personalized customer service is fantastic. I would highly recommend staying at Sandalwood!
The service was excellent. It is definitely what others say about all the positive things on this hotel. They have even upgraded me to anoher unit with outstanding sea view with no extra cost ( from Gardenia to Orchid).A 5-star rating from me and my wife! Perhaps the road leading to this hotel is a bit too steep. A bit hard for taxi driver to send me up to the reception and also hard for me to drive on my own if I rent a car. I also do hope, if possible, to have a small gym facilities at the hotel.
The Amain villa was gorgeous, and the staff were fantastic. One of the best places I have ever stayed, and wish we could have stayed for longer. Nothing.
Fantastic all around. Great service.
the staff were friendly and the location was good Too expensive
The Peace Resort was a lovely place, right on lovely and quiet Bophut Beach, a 10 minute walk to Fisherman's Village. The Sea Wrap restaurant had great food and a large breakfast with egg station. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a Superior Garden Bungalow for 5 days and it was worth every penny. Very private and set in a very well maintained garden area. The whole grounds were well kept and lovely. Easy access to taxis and bike rentals, yet well-secluded. Definitely recommend! My only issue was the shower, which was only handheld and came in hot or cold, nowhere in between. Being that it was hot and humid out, the cold was not freezing, but warm water would've been more ideal.
It was our honeymoon and the resort staff went out of their way to keep us happy. The room was absolutely beautiful -- decorated head to toe with flowers!
very beautiful place and nice staff, clean beach but food pricy at the restaurant and outside restuarants are far. Be aware of insect bites because you will in the heart of a jungle. insects
Rooms surrounded by garden, so it didn't feel too crowded. Nice rooms, well designed, good bathroom, friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant service and food were not very good.
We loved the layout of the resort, the facilities and most of all the best Pina Coladas!
Alll the staff where friendly and the rooms where very nice. They often didnt sweep up most of the sand in our room. The Peace Resort Checked us into the Wrong room as we booked via pictures on Internet so when we arrived we new by the pictures it wasnt the one we booked. Once we explained they where happy to move us but it wasnt available to the next night.
The Peace! Very nice and romantic room! everything perfect! Highly recommended! From Spain
The best informal massages on the beach front. Very good value for money, with well experienced and profesional masseuse. Very relaxed atmosphere.
The rooms and the gardens are nice. The location of the hotel is handy for airport transfer as it is located close to Koh Samui airport. The hotel and the room were nice but the location was definitly not so charming. The swimming on this part of the beach is fairly limitated considering the amount of boats parked on the bay and the prices at the hotel bar and restaurant were higher than in other places we have visited for a poorer service.
The beach and location were perfect, breakfast great, nice room and private pool communication poor for 5 star hotel. Took 3 days to fix tv. Very expensive minibar and restaurant prices. Over 300% on cool drinks etc. If they were more reasonable people would use them more rather thag going out on the street.
the room was nice and neat and the view was amaizing. the beach front villa
Very well designed hotel. Excellent value for money (I mean: your own garden and private beachfront pool for just $200!!). Staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. Everything was great. The only thing was that being in holiday with friends I would have preferred a hotel closer to the busy area of Shaweng beach. It wasn't that bad though because it's only a 20 minute walk.
Hotel staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean & contemporary, superior room was exactly what i expected from the pictures shown in the hotel website. Buffet breakfast was better than what I expected. The southern part of the Chaweng beach where Samui Resotel is located is definately quieter and nicer than Central Chaweng. The air conditioning in the bedroom could have been colder.
I had a ocean front villa with a private pool - the private pool part was fantastic and i highly recommend it. I did have an issue that the staff resolved promptly and courteously. The location is great - close enough to walk to where the action was, but far enough away not to be noisy. The breakfast buffet was terrible. Had a tough time communicating with the staff - most did not speak english well, but they were very nice and tried really hard. The gym wasn't good at all. It was tiny, only a few pieces of equipment, no towels or water and not air conditioned.
Was a disaster from the moment we arrived, the room we had booked in December was over booked , we were down graded to a garden pool villa, the hot water didn't work the first night, the drain in the shower didn't drain effeciently, our front sliding door was left open by the cleaners for the entire day - luckily nothing was stolen. I will not be recommending any one stay at this resort.
food was great. location was good too. the rooms were huge and clean.
Location great. Staff and facilities at the resort were tops during our stay.
Modern style and clean hotel with excellent sea view. Located in the quiet southern part of Chaweng beach. Beach in front of the hotel is nice and quiet. Very nice and helpfull staff. Good breakfast.
Staff were very nice, spacious room with a balcony. Breakfast is served just in front of the sea with different options of fruits and salted food. Good location with shops around and a nice beach in front. Choose ground floor rooms for a good night of sleep. Furniture in the rooms need an update (TV for example).
Wonderful, relaxing and very helpful staff
Quality and facilities provided in the room were excllent. The rooms were huge and with a beatiful view. Good food and excellent service. The beach in front of the hotel could have been maintained in a better way. Also the transport facility from hotel to the entertainment areas could have been better.
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything you could imagine, friendly staff, nice pools, good restaurant, reasonable price, new.
Spacious apartment in good condition ; nice pools Location, poor transfer service, breakfast a bit small
Large clean accommodation, quiet resort & friendly staff. Power failure on 2 days for few hours when it rained heavily - need to address this issue.
Highly recommend, this beautiful hotel, we felt relaxed and we were treated like VIPs.It was very quiet which made it all the more relaxing. We ate in the Four Winds Restaurant and thought the meal was excellent.Breakfast was very good. The room in the Royal Wing had direct access to the large pool. I especially liked the bed, very comfortable and very big, you could get lost in it. The staff could not do enough for you, were very courteous. We had problems with the room safe, they sorted it within minutes of reporting it.The lovely ladies who offered the beauty and massage treatments were fantastic, the one hour foot massage I received was for me pure heaven! The gardens were beautiful and well kept with many flowers. Nothing!!! From my experience I do not understand some of the reviews who have criticised the restaurant food. Everything was perfect!
Well chose this hotel for my wife’s 50th Our first trip to Thailand and if the funds were ever again available wouldn’t hesitate to return to this wonderful country, just one thing about Thailand don’t go if you think it will be cheap it isn’t [if you value your stomach] budget “going out prices uk” and you wont be disappointed and when the odd bargain comes along that’s a nice surprise. That said the real value is in the cost of the hotel rooms 4 star luxury at less than the cost of a travel lodge. Ok The Samui Palm beach resort, got a great price online after much searching and booked a room in the Royal Wing, on arrival the place was pretty empty [mid Feb is early season] so lucky us they put us in a beach bungalow one back from the ones that line the beach front [these were well out of our price range] and very near the main pool, we couldn’t believe our luck, the bungalow [they call them villas] was very large, very high ceilings, four poster bed with drapes, room safe, wet shower room, sunken bath, table and chairs inside and out and a sort of private garden area with coconut trees over, yes one of the tiles was chipped and the paintwork could do with re glossing but that would be being very picky considering what we paid. Later we checked out the rooms in the royal wing this complex appears very new and has the longest swimming pool on the island [but certainly not the widest] the rooms were very nice and finished to a high standard some had private plunge pools, but they were a bit dark and some way from the beach. The beach was very nice private and quiet and BO PHUT is very quiet, out of the complex there was a 7\11 within walking distance and a two acceptable restaurants if you want a change from the hotel which has several restaurants although only two were open [like I said the place was not that full] Prices…… Starter soup or satay 120 batt [double it for pounds thus £2. Well the brochure shows sunbeds in pairs along a grass bank overlooking the ocean these are reserved for the beach front villas only,[your told to keepout] this is not made clear and is a bit misleading. That said the provision for other guests is ok even if beach sun beds are a bit in short supply.
We got a House right next to the beach, very nice The beach is nice but, the water is not clear, i do not know why, but its a fact that other beaches do have clear water...a bit suspicious. Furthermore the hotel seems a bit run down.
Hotel is located close to the beach, rooms are clean and spacious. Food at hotel's restaurants is rather good. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The room decor is not very nice in my opinion. The beach is not as well-maintained as in the hotels nearby. WiFi in lobby did not work some of the time
Basic enough hotel; big room and comfortable bathroom; good variable breakfasts; huge green territory of the hotel; king-size bed there was not written anywhere that all the hotels at Bophut beach (I heard that at Maenam as well) has slimy bottom and turbid water as a result. it is not the fault of the hotel of course, but i think it is necessary to admit it.
big swimming pools, lovely room none
the service at our stay from welcome to leaving was second to none.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was perfect being literally on the beach & only a 5 minute walk to the fantastic "Fishermans Village". Felt very comfortable at the hotel & was great for my 18 month old baby. The only negative was the restaurants in the hotel were a little pricey but then there was no reason to eat there as so many other choices nearby.
very nice place to stay for a long time and enjoy all their facilities and sandy beach.
The hotel has nice pool areas and garden, but a minus that you can not see the sea from the hotel. You have no view of the beach and sea until you are right in front of it. They have nice lobby area and nice clean hotel rooms. The beach restaurant has lovely view and is quite nice, but a bit dark. Also the buffets are more expensive than the other two hotels we stayed in. In the area there are many loose dogs and cats, and two small kittens seem to be living around the lobby/breakfast area and the first floor terraces. Some guest feed the cats during breakfast and the cats sleep on the chairs when there is no people there. This caused an allergy problem for my son who is very allergic to cats. The waitress tried to take the cats away, but they came right back. This problem made us change hotel, so not recommended for people with allergy.
Fantastic location and setting, beautiful garden. Walking distance to Fishermans Village (Restaurants and shopping) Although the beach is nice the water is not clear.
Fantastic pool Staff were poorly trained. Breakfast room & breakfast was low quality.
great place to stay on the beach friendly staff.love the fact you have a beach basket for you towels etc
Very big main pool, small children pool. On the beach 2 more pools. Good restaurant on the beach. Check in took more than 1 hour. They said to us that we have to pay our stay complete before we can go to room. Finally I paid 4 nights at time and then 3 nights when we left. The staff was first really critical to us and after complaining they try to lick as much as possible. Not so nice :(
