Pros: Friendly Russian-speaking stuff, exceptional cleanliness of bathrooms and showers. Porridge is served for breakfast for free, free tea and coffee - very pleasant touch The property is family-owned, so it feels cozy and homey

Cons: Limited parking: when we arrived there was almost no room to park while the property declared free parking. Cars of other visitors were parked in a way that can be hardly described as optimal with big gaps in between (staff could instruct others to be more considerate). The staff offered to park at the side street free but big trucks were passing there at night, so I did not consider leaving my car there a safe option. The walls inside are quite thin, so you hear a lot of noise from other rooms Inside you have to put plastic shoes on which us not very eco-friendly, better bring your own slippers

Pros: Everything was great, the people in the reception were very friendly and helped us a lot about the information of transport and all!

Cons: The bed was a little hard, at least the one we got.

Pros: Kotka as a city is very nice. Clean air and pleasant nature.

Cons: "Вежливость? Нет, не слышали! Грубость это наше все!" I was so crucially disappointed from the very beginning. The staff who met me (two of them) were so very rude!!! They seemed to have had no idea what the HOSPITALITY is. There was a paper issue with my booking, so instead of being polite, nice and helpful (what I would naturally expect from the hospitality industry members) with the problem they have actually caused, they offended me (should I quote it all in here?), shouted at me, and made me feel sooo much uncomfortable and unwelcomed, so I would be so happy to escape if given the chance. Unfortunately it was dark outside, late, cold, and I was way too tired after the journey to look for another place at that very moment. Yes the bed sheets were clean after all - but that's not what the hospitality is all about. The people welcoming are more important. I have broad experience of staying anywhere, from 5*hotels (and have even worked at one of them) to the backpackers no-name places like a hole in the wall in far Asia - but never ever I met something like that way of communication with the guest.

Pros: Very clean. Coffe and tee available the whole day. Tasty porridge in the morning!

Pros: Extra comfortable (soft) beds, large room, delicious chocolate bars in mini bar.

Cons: Our stay was in February and it was a little bit cold in rooms and the heating didn’t work.

Pros: It’s the most comfortable hotel in Finland where we stayed! Free sauna, good breakfast, very nice room with all what you need. Very interesting light settings! In the center of Kotka! I fully recommend it!

Pros: A nice rural location with free parking at the accommodation. Friendly hotel staff. A decent breakfast is served. The hotel has a cozy interior.

Cons: Bathroom outside of room. Not lockable No dinner..not even suggestions

Pros: Breakfast was outstanding & the grounds were beautiful.

Cons: The guesthouse could stand an exterior paint job - quite a disappointment compared to the manor house appearance. But you get what you pay for.

Pros: The building is great. We arrived late at night and had a plenty of time exploring its internal rooms and halls available since there were almost no other guests. The surrounding park is great as well. You may ask the staff to prepare some eggs/sausages for the breakfast.

Cons: Late check-in requires a direct phone call, there is no doorbell and most likely housekeeping staff is sleeping anyway. We got only the room key without the entrance one. That means if you decide to exit/walk around at night, the same phone-call procedure is required in order to get back to the building. Continental breakfast was rather disappointing at first glance but felt ok at the end.

Pros: Old manor is very beautiful. One of a kind in Finland. Beds were great, had a wonderful night. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons: Our room was very cold in November. It took about 12 hours till it got heated to more or less comfortable temperature. Room was dusty. And in general this beautiful old place felt "unloved" and not properly taken care of.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable room and a very nice shared bathroom.

Pros: Breakfast is just amazing! And location is perfect for occasional fisherman like me, you can fish in korkeankoski from the small pier!

Cons: A little bit expensive, view on the river is possible if you lean at the window

Pros: The cost reflects what you get - it's an affordable place to sleep. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast exceeded expectations. The location is most likely very beautiful when it's not dark and rainy ;)

Cons: The building is in dire need of renovation - the rooms are cold and small, surfaces are worn and indoor air smells like mold. I ended up washing all the textiles we had with us as the smell followed us home.

Pros: The sauna was excellent and available both in the evening and morning. The location is very quiet.

Cons: Eggs not prepared well. Many leftovers with some items stale. First night the coffee was stale from night before, the second day was good. Not much fruit.

Pros: Hotel was renovated, clean and looks fine; comfortable beds.

Cons: Breakfast was horrible. A horrible omelette, made of who-knows-what, of a weird taste. Sausages, cheese of a poor quality. Please invest in breakfast, it is not so expensive!

Pros: The walls were not designed to blockout noise! Location was ok. There was a sign which stated that we get daily housekeeping but over 3 days no one came. Breakfast was good. Not much of a choice in food at the restaurant.

Pros: Very good accomodations for bussines trip and travellers with cars. Situated near autoban Helsinki - St.Peterburg, entrances and escapes from/to both directions. Very nice and helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Each room have electrical teacan and cups. Restaurant working till 21:00.

Cons: Nothing. Good price for good services.

Pros: Good place for night stay after unpredictable ru->fi border cross and go Helsinki's ferry next day with no hurry. Cool breakfast.

Cons: Internet was very overloaded in the evening. Fine in the morning.

Cons: We were "lucky" to have a room facing to Satamakatu and were unable to sleep because of the constant noise from cars and trucks passing by the windows, even in the night.

Cons: High price for a very simple hotel. Was more a hostle than hotel..The breakfast was ok but very simple.

Pros: Location is good? close to Kotka Satama. For business travellers good location. For tourists, very close to downtown and Marine Centre. Majority of locations are on walking distance. Very big rooms, suitable for family.

Pros: Clean, nice, small place with good location. Small nice bar downstairs.

Pros: The breakfast was a good one - and the hotel is situated very near the Kotkan Satama railway station and the magnificent Wellamo museum.

Pros: The hotel is vintage but retains a certain charm. It's clean and quiet with some views over harbour. It is comparatively good value for money. Standard not executive grade. Few minutes walk into center. I had everything I needed as a base for my visit.

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly. Special points for the blonde haired young lady, she was superbly friendly. Also other staff were friendly but she was super nice

Cons: There was a stagnant smell in the room. It seems the smell comes from outside, but perhaps air freshners could be provided in the rooms. Also, there was no body soap in the shower, it was totally empty. Things like soap and amount of towels should be checked each time cleaning is done. Also, maybe a small table fan could be provided in the rooms. It got very hot in the room at night.

Pros: Even though the interior is old, room meets general standards. There was fridge, coffee/tea making equipment in the corridor, probably for general use. There were barely any customers there, so the breakfast was served probably with that amount of people in mind. Though there wasn't much, there was enough a little bit of everything at morning buffet.

Cons: Windows in the room were not good. In the winter they trough up all winds and frost. Internet does not work correctly from the room due to poor signal and large segmentation to three subnets. As a result devices always switch to other subnet with no internet! Really stupid network. And a really slowly warm sauna with same problems as all other windows. All hot air disappear in a seconds.

Pros: very good for morning

Pros: Stuff was kind, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was alright. Location was good very easy to get a taxi.

Cons: You could easy hear the noise from the street. Otherwise nothing else
