Breakfast was wonderful! Choice between Japanese or Western style. Beautifully presented and very tasty as well as supplemented by a delicious buffet! Great location. The Japanese themed room was small but comfortable, sleeping on the floor on a futon with a matted floor. Highly recommended!!
The A/C light which we need to keep on to keep the room cool has a very bright green light! Had to try and cover it so could get some sleep by hanging a shirt in front of it. Not sure what the hotel can do to fix this.
Great location in the shopping district
The staff was helpful and nice. The room was comfortable and had one of the best showers I've ever had in a hotel room. Also the sento/onsen of the hotel was nice after long days in the heat outside.
We tried the (Western) breakfast one morning and it was rather beautiful but perhaps not quite to our taste.
Great music and very clean
the staff were very helpful and friendly and willing to help you with on going bookings for train/bus and timetables..the area in which situated very convenient for shopping/dining and getting to other parts of Kyoto..even for walking..not too far to most areas..the food was great..esp the free drinks in the evening esp for this coffee drinker..laundry and public bath/spa etc very convenient..bed comfortable..very little traffic noise..overall a great room in a great part of Kyoto
the only drawback for a person who likes space..and esp if sharing with another as friends..the room was a little cramped..and getting used to the bathroom/toilet area just partitioned off with glass windows took a while to grow accustomed to..but once you did..things were ok!!
