Pros: My friend and I loved everything about this B&B. It was so clean with very comfortable beds and lovely room. Fabulous breakfasts and a welcoming, caring staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best night-stop on our 14 day travel. Super in all ways.
Cons: Nothing - just great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality and the cleanliness. The host went out of his way to accommodate the late check in request and gave lots of information about the local area. Simply superb.
Cons: The location is great to be in the nature but you are a few minutes driving distance from downtown.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Over the top breakfast and hospitality
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location near Baie-Saint-Paul, beautiful landscapes, cleanliness and decoration
Cons: Before the reservation we asked the property if it was possible to bring our 18 month old child and they answered that we would be welcome. But when we arrived, it turned out that the place was absolutely not kids friendly: no soundproofing between the rooms, so many objects that could fall or be broken by children, no toys, no space for them to play, etc. To make it worse, the owner asked us to prevent our son from making noise to not disturb other residents, and asked us many times later to make him stop laughing, shouting, running etc, while were really doing our best... how do you make sure that a 18 month old keep silent at all times ? The breakfast experience was particularly negative, because the child was kept waiting to be served and got really hungry and frustrated, so we had to take him outside the restaurant to calm him, but the owner was bold enough to come after us and ask us again to calm the baby...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every aspect of Gîte Nature et Pinceaux exceeded our expectation. The room was warm and inviting. The food delicious and and Martin and Linda exceptional hosts. A beautiful getaway.

Pros: Amazing location and site, David was very welcoming. The room was clean. Left early, didn’t get a chance to taste the breakfast, but will be back!
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice home made breakfast especially the bread.
Cons: Pics look a bit bigger than it actually is, but room is as nice and as clean. TV and game room is a big plus. You have shared kitchen and cafe area. More like an airbnb to me. Host David and other staff is super nice and help. They are like families and you can tell they put loveband efforts into the place. If you like to chat around, beautiful place to know other guests. But if you want more privacy, you might considering a regular hotel. But i would be still hesitating to pay almost $300 for what i get. Maybe $200 would be okay for me.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous b&b with hospitable and friendly hosts. Incredibly clean, wonderful location and excellent breakfast!
Cons: We arrived earlier than check-in time and as invited, wanted to leave our car at the property whist wondering by foot around the town. We were a little confused of where was suitable to park as it was a tight area with a garage. Perhaps some signage would help!

Pros: Hosts very amenable. Breakfast outstanding.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Francois and Mario are the best hosts you could ask for. They really love what they are doing and you can feel it. We felt very welcomed and where overwhelmed by all the great ideas Francois told us for spending the day. He even booked a trip for us :) The room is a bit small but we were able to fit both our stuff in, so it was enough for two nights. The bathroom had lots of lovely details and was clean. The breakfast is out of this world - I normally don’t even like jam, but the jam Mario makes is simply delicious. Also all the other stuff was really fresh, tasty and served with love.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Just a stroll away from the buzzing main street. In a quite neighbourhood, so you can get a good night sleep. We had tea on the balcony while watching the sun go down and there is also a flowery garden where you can relax at the river! The breakfast was beyond our expectations!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - very nice host - good breakfast (lots of fruits, 5 different home made jams, boiled eggs, fresh croissant...) - clean and cosy traditional house

A La Chouette - Baie-Saint-Paul - Building
4
9.6 Excellent (113 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely home in beautiful surroundings, close to restaurants and boutiques but quiet countryside setting.
Cons: The only negative and this is not a reflection on the property or the owners, is the noisiness of the other guests. The old house isn't soundproof so you could hear everything, especially the little children running around in the room above us. The house doesn't have air conditioning so that noisy neighbours, in this case a rental house next door, did impact.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: beautiful house and room. Very friendly host who served a very nice breakfast.
Cons: all was good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the Summer Suite, which is a very large and lovely decorated room with much light and a terras (though it was still too cold to use it when we stayed). Excellent and very large bed. Exceptional breakfast prepared by a dedicated gourmet lover (much appreciated)! The lovely hosts also offered the use of the kitchen and an eating and a sitting room/library for their guests which is an important advantage for a prolonged stay when one would like to stay in and prepare themselves a home made dinner. Very good internet.
Cons: The rooms are not sound proof; which is of course normal for an old house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated room, wonderful gourmet breakfast, and close to the action of Baie-Saint-Paul. Pleasant and knowledgeable bilingual hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was amazing; local products and different breakfast every morning with fresh juice, fruits, etc. Ginette and François are amazing hosts, very kind and helpful. We had an amazing time!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent, pleasant hosts, who graciously let us use facilities (refrigerator, etc) in another room as well as our own as the room was not booked. Close to walking paths.
Cons: I would have preferred a door on the bathroom rather than a curtain.

Overview Reviews
The clean lines and contemporary style of Le Germain Charlevoix Hotel & Spas premises are found on the site of a former farm belonging to the Petites Franciscaines de Marie, a religious congregation. Great care was taken to preserve the link between past and present. Each building on-site pays homage to the style of those historic farm buildings. Le Germain Charlevoix Hotel & Spas sleek design, the warm comfort of its rooms and its pastoral spirit make it the pride of the entire region.

Cons: Restaurant is not at the same level of the hotel.

Pros: breakfast was good and very extensive. Far more than a "continental breakfast".
Cons: Rooms are small.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was an interesting place, we had a view on the farm animals. It was cute. Really loved the campfire they had + free marshmallows.
Cons: There wasn't an elevator in our part of the building. We had to take the stairs with out luggage.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice spa. Outside pools with warm water.
Cons: Expensive for the room. Had to change room because the original one had no shower privacy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful nature around the hotel. The hotel is very modern yet it fits perfectly and harmoniously in the nature.

Pros: The hotel occupies such a large space and has plenty of great amenities (pool, gym, onsite farm, spa). Food was so fresh and delicious and the rooms was so clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and assisted us whenever we needed help or had a request.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved our room...amazing use of space, loved the urban decor vibe and patio facing the cows! Bed was super comfy, biked, took the scenic shore road...we will be back!
Cons: Upstairs restaurant service and food was outstanding!! The maple cake was to die for! The waitress we had Friday night in the downstairs restaurant was awful...ignored us, walked by us many many times, we tried to get her attention and even when we made eye contact and waved our arms around she walked right by, chatted with restaurant personnel and made us feel totally unwelcome she also ordered the wrong pizza, took forever to arrive, we left without eating.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are exceptional The staff is excellent and the service is amazing We loved the spa and the farm and gardens too! We will highly recommend to our friends and come back!

Overview Reviews
When you a stay at Auberge La Muse in Baie-St-Paul, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 5-minute walk of Galerie Clarence Gagnon and Contemporary Museum of Art. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness and charming decor Very comfortable bed Closeness of restaurant even if pricy Good staff Good situation in the center of town Quiet at night
Cons: Lovely room but not big enough
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really beautiful and location is excellent. Breakfast options are ok and tasty.
Cons: Waiting time at the Bistro and staff knowing what they have and verifying what customer asked. We waited a lot to get someone to take our drinks order and then more for the main courses order. We asked for a well-cooked steak and it was not fully-cooked. The waitress offered some dessert options and then came back saying they did not have the one we ordered and offered something else. No compensation or willing to correct errors at all. The morning receptionist could be a bit more flexible or give options. We asked to wait a little bit more to check out since we wanted to leave our baggage to visit more art galleries and her only response was "No". No actual willing to find an alternative for us. Just giving a smile while saying "No" is not nice, just says "It is what it is and I am smiling and don't care". The evening receptionist was friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: For a small room in an old building, the owners have worked wonders with both design and renovation. It couldn’t be better, really, although the idea of a glass windowed shower in the corner of the room may take some getting used to for some people. And yes, the breakfast is superbe!
Cons: Nothing, really. By far the best place I’ve ever stayed in Quebec.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: breakfeast is excellent and we enjoy the place and the environnement
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and we enjoyed the on-site restaurant. We had a good time and loved the little balcony to sit on. Walking the stairs wasn't an issue for me, but I did think of a friend who might not have wanted to stay because of them. It was only one flight.
Cons: The only issue we had was there was a terrible coffee maker in our room, it was difficult to use and we spilled water everywhere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s a beautiful place! Location is great and the room was very comfortable and clean. Great food at the restaurant!
Cons: For the price of the room, breakfast should be included!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Lovely charming ambiance. Nice staff.
Cons: They did offer a $12 coupon for breakfast at their restaurant, which was reasonable. However, both times there was something a bit off about the food--poached eggs were not cooked enough, potatoes were little hard cubes. Very nice wait staff and a very pretty place, however. There are generally not many great breakfast places in Baie St. Paul, though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: we loved the room on ground floor.No. 1 the 2 girls in the reception morning very nice and helpfull.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean updated rooms and excellent location. Our room was very small but had everything we needed! Excellent restaurant on site.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got a big room for 5 and for a motel it was great. We didn't need more for 1 night.

Pros: The room is clean and big. And the furnitures are new.
Cons: It is a basement, which the owner did not declare online... If I knew it i would definitely not book it for my family.

Pros: Loved having wine glasses there, and a close place to get wine and snacks!
Cons: The only drawback, if any, was having to cross the busy highway to get to town.

Cons: Beds were a bit too firm for our liking
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The motel room was in excellent condition and very clean . Decor and bathroom were modern and new looking. We asked for a quiet room and were given the end unit near the river. The public green space was beautiful with lots of seating for relaxing and tables for picnics. They provided a BBQ for guest use and upon request they would give you plates and silverware and wine glasses for use. We were able to make our own dinner salad from our groceries and enjoyed eating at the double glider with the table in the middle on the side of the river. The front desk staff member who checked us in was bilingual and very welcoming and helpful. The bed and linens were very good quality. We chose to open the window overnight and were surprised that traffic noise from the busy road in front was not loud enough to be a disturbance.
Cons: Can't think of anything .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean We needed to Change for a bigger room last minute. They gave us a room with 3 double beds for a great deal. Much more spacious and clean. Staff super helpful

10.0 Excellent
Pros: great location, beautiful property!
7.1 Good
Pros: Feather pillow as requested. Extra towels.
Cons: No breakfast- bring your own. Bed a bit hard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, quiet and spacious place, easy to find, well located.
Cons: When booking the place, the pictures doesn't show the apartment we booked, only the general one. Giving more pictures of the different options, would be ideal. The bed for the third person was a convertible sofa, therefore OK for a night but maybe not for a longer stay.
5.8 Okay
Cons: I had an accident in the bathroom (slipped inside the bath and fall) and I had no interest or attention from the staff/property.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A one bedroom apartment, very well kept, at a very reasonable price. The good kitchen and complete utensils meant that we could have most meals there and eat out in excellent Baie Ste Paul restaurants when we wanted to. Easy access from highway and to Le Massif skiing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cite place
Cons: S/o

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything meet or exceed our expectations .The food at this Auberge is exelante.
Cons: The room was a bit small but we had access to a balcony directly from the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was perfect and the bed was comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and their pizza was fabulous! The location was beautiful and quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very cosy with all of the amenities (toiletries, hair dryer, ironing board, safe, coffee machine, boiler, TV, lots of electrical outlets, etc.) and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the sun room (our room had a windowed balcony), where we could watch the sun rise over the St-Laurent seaway every morning. The owners were extremely personable, and went out if their way to make our stay pleasant & comfortable. Make sure you try their pizza - it’s delicious!
Cons: We cannot think of anything at this time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people. The place. The food.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I especially liked the staff's patience with our poor french. The children were really listened to when they made their first attempts to speak french. It was very practical to have the restaurant at the facility, we could just put on our slippers provided in the room and be very cozy at the restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and view from the room - short drive to Le Massif. Lovely and welcoming hosts; flexible with late checkin which was appreciated. Breakfast was delicious. Super cozy inn, we'd come back again!
Cons: Let people know that additional parking is available across the street at the church. Better coffee would be good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A little bit out of the way but worth it when you get there; quiet and scenic area, close to the river. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast with a great view.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Julie was a great host, very friendly. The breakfast is good and Julie's jams delicious!! We were able to cook our food in the evening thanks to the little kitchen that is set outside, witch was very useful. The area is very quiet and the landscapes great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, well placed for visits to the Trois Gorges National Park, where we saw a "porc epic" (porcupine)!! Visit enhanced by the cabaret provided by Isla and Reggae (the resident dogs). Lovely walk to the pond in the grounds.
Cons: Good breakfast but perhaps a choice of fruit juice and some prepared fruit with yoghurt would turn it into excellent? Shower over bath but we understand an upgrade is planned whereby the rooms will have an en suite shower room instead.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were kind and accommodating of our late arrival. Location is great if you plan on visiting any of the two nearby National Parks (Grands-Jardins and Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie). We had our own door and key to access our room directly from the outside so our coming and going early or late did not disturb anyone. Breakfast was appreciated, as was the company and discussions. The amenities outside are great (garden, chairs, tables, firepit, etc.) even if we did not use any of it.
Cons: Breakfast is on the simple side, basically fancy continental breakfast, but still much appreciated. Bedding was a bit dated and uncomfortable, but we've seen worse. Heat was not turned on when we arrived and the room was basically the same temperature as outside (10-15°C), which isn't the best when you arrive at 10pm+ and plan on going straight to bed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect <3
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly owners, nice breakfast!
Cons: Hot at night (during summer) and mosquitos
7.1 Good
Pros: Very nice staff. The place is nicely decorated, very homey.
Cons: The bed was very tiny, even though we opted for the slightly more expensive toom since it said to have a 'queensize bed' (which it hadn't)

Pros: Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was well-appointed and distinctive, in the manner of a luxurious Catalan country inn. The manager was very helpful with suggestions for local sites to visit.
Cons: There is really nothing to complain about other than the seal on the bathtub causing it to drain down a bit when soaking. My wife and I loved the inn
9.6 Excellent
Pros: good variety - cereal, excellent muffins and croissants, ham, yogurt.
Cons: would have been nice to be able to open a window, but air conditioner prevented that.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Régis welcomed us with style and Savoir-Faire! While we were at the Auberge, he took care of all our needs, with unique attention to details, ensuring our stay will be memorable. We enjoyed the bistro and the reading area as well as the tranquility and serenity of sauna, spa, terrace and flower garden. The style of decoration is well harmonized with the spirit of L'Estampille. Our room was very comfortable. Our dinner experience was awesome with great ambiance. His Pyrenean origin and culinary expertise transform ingredients into delectable flavours. The wine list is very affordable. The next morning, we started our day with a nice breakfast. In addition, he guided us with excellent recommendations for the continuation of our Charlevoix journey, taking the time to set appointment with local partners such as tomato wine tasting (yes, tomato wine), cheese factory and other local specialties.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this is a really charming place—in terms of space (very spacious!), amenities, and, most importantly, friendly and helpful staff who take care with genuine kindness (i.e. ‘professional kindness’ of big chain hotels). The owner, Mr. Barthe, who is also a great chef, was attentive to make sure our stay was pleasant and relaxing. Breakfast with Coffee, fresh croissants, juice, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, bread, jam, yogurt—was good. Location is great, too. A quick drive to downtown, and with open views around unlike the hotels in downtown. We stayed in Deluxe Double and it’s what other hotels will advertise as “Suite” (with couch, extra chairs, table). It’s very spacious, spa bath tub and shower, bright with many windows. One thing that is not mentioned in the ‘amenities of the property’ is that our room had mini fridge and coffee maker and even a kettle! (One of the reasons why I was debating whether I should book L’estampilles was that I couldn’t find if they provided a mini fridge or a kettle. So I was very very happy to be able to make my own tea, coffee!) I came to Montreal yesterday. The moment I was checking in when I was greeted by the expressionless, robot-like receptionist of this otherwise decent hotel, I missed L’estampilles and its humane, personalized, and genuine service! L’estampilles is a hotel that offers a unique service that is to be experienced! Don’t hesitate to book this hotel!!

Pros: Amazing location. Very close to le Massif mountain. The staff was very accommodating. Our family is vegan and the staff made a point of making completely separate meal options for us to make sure we could eat and eat vegan. And it was delicious. Plus, they didn't charge us more than the usual menu options. Thank you very much!

Pros: Excellent food and wine! Superb view on the river! Very welcoming and relaxed ambiance!definately worth the stay and I would come back for a visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was an ideal stop on the way home from our trip to the Saguenay Fjords. The place was very neat & tidy and has a great view of the St Laurence. The hot tub was also a nice way to relax after being outside all day. We also chose to have dinner and breakfast here and the food and service was amazing! The staff are very friendly and helpful and would definitely recommend friends to stay here.

Pros: Food was great and the staff as well.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, Antic ambiance and the scene from the backyard
Cons: Breakfast was not included
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our host couldn't have been more helpful. The delicious food! The hot tub and robes were really great.
Cons: We find the decor kinda funky, with too many things around and too much a mish-mash. But, in the spirit of full disclosure, we do lean toward the leaner, IKEA-type aesthetic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoy talking with Robin and Gisèle. There are so friendly people. Excellent breakfast. The view is very nice from the restaurant. Very nice location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic! Perfect before hitting the mountain for a full day of skiing. Delicious! Really lovely staff. Robin and his family are truly wonderful.
6.3 Good
Pros: the view
Cons: the breakfast - the fruits and vegetables were not fresh - the bacon overcooked and the toast drowning in butter. The owner's dog stared at us wagging his tail desperately for a tidbit. There are dog lovers and non-dog lovers. One shouldn't assume that everyone will find a dog looking into their plates adorable. The room was already overpriced in my opinion (no television, and dirty bath water) without having to add a quite expensive breakfast that could have been included in the stay. There was nothing reasonably priced in the suppr choices.
