Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great (even thu it is a bit expensive). First, small room was given to me (in corner), even we couldn't fit the my child cot inside. Then,it was changed after several arrgement with receptionest. Check-in time was long !. Escilators out side the hotel are not working. I have to claim 90 steps everytime I go out (with child seat). Internet is not free (expensive)
The location is ideal for working in La Defense. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is very expensive. I had a hot chocolate which cost €5.50 which is a ridiculous price! And €10 per hour for internet use in the room is far too expensive. I would expect this to be included in the room price as that was expensive also.
room, bad, location, car parking distance from metro
Comfortable room There was no vegitarian options on the menu except stir fry. I was extremely disappointed by this as all good hotels offer a much better range. Therefore, I had a sandwich.
quite and its location you have to walk through a very long stairs to reach the metro and the grand arch area. there is escalator but it wan out of service for 5 nights
Very comfortable and spacious room, good location, close to public transportation, very quiet. Very expensive Internet access - even 90 euros Paris hotels have free internet access !!!!
The service was amazing! Nothing, it was all great
Location perfect for work at La Défense
a spacious room, nice bathroom, fantastic bed. the staff are very friendly and nice. breakfast: some pastry items were not fresh, the orange juice doesn't flow out of the container easily. sometimes the pastry items are not restocked in time.
The staff kindness and professionalism. The room quality. Nothing.
Nearness to the business district. Good rooms. Good Service. Comfortable stay.
the comfortable bed No
Well designed and furnished , 5 minutes walk from the Metro, placed in scrapsky quarter - nice to see 1-2 times. Restaurant in the lobby is very expensive and has very small choice of the meal. Breakfast is usual one but also is rather expensive. I also may recommend to the hotel concierge not to use this taxi service that they ordered for us. We wait it 30 mins in the lobby and we sited to the car - it was already 22 euros. I asked driver - why - he said - "its no problem, I won't charge you additionally" - but finally he did.
nice design, location, staff no free wifi, no body milk, breakfast could have been better (no boiled eggs)
It is close to subway, and rather quiet on weekends. The bedding is excellent, very comfortable. The route going to the hotel by car or taxi is so winding and takes a lot of turns within the district before reaching the hotel. This is due to the public traffic planning in La Defense, perhaps.
the junior suite is spacious. the espresso machine, the bed. near a big shopping mall. Quite business area. It is a bit expensive. the conceirge (unintentionally) mislead us when we ask him about rent a car company in the city.
Room, location good for the sites, all the sites are the metro 1 line (yellow) which is the la defense. The food was expensive and of low quality.
Fresh, clean, modern, simple Shower leaked under glass door - no lip to stop flow, duvets are too hot even with air-conditioning on high fan
The location is perfect. Now most of the hotels in the world provide free internet service. E.G. Concorde Lafayette in Porte Maillot, Paris
clean, and helpful staff The hotel entrance was close during my stay, the car parking should be free but they charge 20 Euro per day
it was easy and comfortable, the location was good and easy for the city either by taxi or train. Very expensive, but so were all the other Paris hotels that day!!
the location the internet not free like other 4-star hotels in paris
Hotel staff were very friendly although not all of them in the restaurant/bar spoke English which made things a bit more difficult
Secure, quiet and well maintained hotel that is ver convienent to Charles DeGaulle Airport in Paris. I am sorry that I did not plan for more time to spend at the location. Absolutely no complaints.
Not too far from CDG and better than the chain hotels at this airport.
staff and ambience
Food in bar not hot enough. Menu a bit narrow and exotic.
Convenient to C.D.g airport but much classier than the usual airport hotels. Currently there are renovations taking place but they did not detract from the luxurious accomodation and although my evening meal was quite expensive it was worth every cent.
Setting and building were beautiful, staff very courteous, proximity to airport without airport prices, room was very nice and clean, beds comfortable. We can find nothing poor to say about the building, staff and setting. The meal, although tasty and with a nice presentation was a little sparse and the wine portions a little light. The second glass of wine was particularly light and was poured at the table by the waiter into the same glass rather than brought in a fresh glass from the bar.
entironment is very good, room is clean. Silence. Breakfast is more better than the other hotel. No
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and cooperative NA
I like the Hotel du Lac because of it's friendly atmosphere, good standard of accomodation, good food and restaurant and excellent location opposite the lake.
Ambiance, room size and free parking under hotel Could not modify the terms and conditions of the stay. Since it was pre-paid and I had a corporate rate, the overall charge and ability to include breakfast and Internet into the package could not be changed. I should have been more diligent in how the room was booked.
The hotel smelled of cigarette smoke; there was no room in the hotel restaurant to eat dinner
Fantastic location on the lake; ten minute stroll to the station for regular trains into Paris (about 15 minutes). Good local ameneties (shops, cinema etc).
The view from the balcony is beautiful as long as yuo have a lake view room otherwise it overlooks peoples gardens to the side of the hotel. We upgraded to a lakeview room at a cost of 25 Euro's a night which was a bit expensive. My partner & I always use this hotel when visiting Paris due to its beautiful location. The cost of Upgrading to a lakeview room, 25 Euro's a night, 8 Euro's a day parking, 15 Euros each for Continental Brakfast, 5 1/2 Euros for a small Beer. This is not a complaint just a moan about the extra costs incurred which ultimately increased the overall costs.
The place The reception end the cleaning
surroundings and good standards overall room was too hot and noisy air vent bar drinks overpriced
Room and food.
Hotel clean staff very helpfull and friendly rooms large and comfortable good food tea and coffee expensive So very disapointed to find it was a modern hotel and not a chateau we were staying in.expected to be in a chateau not in the grounds of a chateau
Excellent public rooms, customer care and restaurant service Dated room (I know it's an historic building but the facilities could be freshened up)
Good location, quite athmosphere, polite staff Seemd it was little cold in the room, the corridor should be renewed
The breakfasts and the spa area. Jogging and walking in the beauitful grounds was great. Also free to use tennis courts
Wonderful hotel within lovely grounds. Excellent restaurant. Very helpful staff.
pleasant helpful room cleaners (poor front desk and maitres d') .good swimming pool compared to many others in similar sized hotels . Good breakfast Absolutely awful design of 'modern' hotel attached to small chateau.Horrid mismatched souless interior fit out. Bare walls in bedroom-( no pictures/photographs)Carpet pattern and bedroom layout reminded me of a correctional institution. All floors looked the same so easy to get mixed up as to what floor you are on.Souless restaurant . Was unable to eat in restaurant on one of the 2 nights of our stay as Maitre D' and front reception staff said they were booked out although dining room only had about 2/3 of the tables set for dinner. Potential guests should be made aware that they may not be able to eat dinner in dinning room in spite of the fact they are staying in the hotel! No really easy alternative for having dinner close to the hotel
We stayed in one of the corner rooms, which was lovely and bright and tastefully decorated. Our 9-year old daughter was with us, and there was no problem getting an additional bed in the room. We arrived fairly late and ordered room service. This was probably one of the best burgers that i have ever had, and excellent value for money. Breakfast was delicious as well, and the service very friendly. We loved the grounds and the beautiful swimming pool. Unfortunately it wasn't warm enough for us to have breakfast outside, but this would have been lovely. We will definitely come back when we travel again to France. The restaurant and bar area lacked atmosphere. I also thought that more could be done to make the stay more family-friendly, with for example a play area outside. As it is this hotel is very much a luxury business hotel. It does not really cater to families or to romantic getaways. Having said that, we really enjoyed our stay.
The service and the variety of activities available.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were large and the gym was well equipped. The breakfast was good. Our experience in the restaurant was dismal. The manager was very rude and abrupt. We wanted to walk out but were starving and the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. When the food arrived ( we ordered 3 courses) it was not good at all. We were so disappointed. .
Great room for a great price, Just don't venture to far from the stadium or Train station
Being so close to the Stade de France. Not having a restaurant
Proximity to Staduim. Bed too hard. Limited breakfast offer
The fact it was directly opposite the Stade de France in a wide and safe location. Good for a single woman travelling alone.
everything was ok , but breakfast was very poor for the price request ( 12 € !!!! )
I found the service excellent and the hotel was very disabled friendly with the staff being very helpfull. The hotel on the other side of the street from the Stade de France which was also excellent from a mobility point of view. The station is only 0.8 of a kilometer away which can either take you into the centre of Paris or Charles de Gaul airport with disabled access at each of the stations.
Helpfull staff, ideal location for this business trip, good price, nice size room, free internet.
Excellent location for Stade de France or, in our case, visiting Cathedral of St Denis. Added advantage of secure undergound parking. Receptionists, both when we arrived & when we left, were charming & helpful.
Ideal location for Stade de France and well placed for sight seeing in central Paris
The room was large and comfortable. There is a privet parking in hotel. The hotel stuff is very friendly. Everything is ok.
Beautiful setting, fuctional, excellent for children Forced to move hotel so a conference could take place (prices upped by 55 euro per night for incoming guests!). Staff showing no concern at evicting disabled visitors
The serene and perfect location and relaxing athomsphere
This is a great hotel with a great staff. We found the service to be outstanding, and the staff very helpful. The room was large, clean and had many amenities. It is a great base for Paris. We will stay here again.
Staff were fluent in several languages and were freindly at both the reception and restaurant. Firstly, guests do not stay in the Chateau itself, but another building. The photo on booking.dot is therefore misleading.
Really nice environment.. Large park around, horses.. but need to know that you do need to have a car to stay in this hotel... No other option if you also want to enjoy Paris and its surroundings at the same time.
The staff were brilliant, checking in and out, also in the restraunt. the room was cleaned well every day and the air conditioning was good. plenty of parking space, and many villages a short drive away and Paris was within easy reach. Stayed five nights and found plenty to do each day. The fact that the TV had only French channels.
The tennis facility is in bad shape and unusable
Good location, good view of Paris from rooms, overall cleanliness
the location no
the staff were very friendly and helpful no swimming pool
Very friendly and attentive staff who were happy to speak English. The hotel is located in a great area with river and city views and close access to the Metro and Disneyland trains The hotel is very busy with package tours and the facilities struggle to cater for the large numbers especially the breakfast catering and internet access
Very close to Paris. Not noisy at all. Nothing to see around the hotel.
Good price, good location (near métro), excellent views of seine & paris, very large room for price, comfortable Some of the staff could have been more polite
access to parking is not easy. we had to walk long way. without navigation system, it is not easy to reach hotel entrance by car.
The hotel was very convenient and the staff were very helpful getting taxis, booking restuarnats for us. very good overall
hotel location bad air conditioning system. no good staff provided at the toilet.
Room had a view of the Eiffel tower which I was not expecting. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Breakfast at the hotel was good. Had dinner one night at the hotel, it was terrible. Eat dinner somewhere else. The AC didn't really work but the weather was mild so it wasn't an issue.
Very friendly and efficient without being obtrusive Very annoying being woken up by greenkeeper at 6 am outside window mowing golf course with noisy machine. Too early to wake guests in my opinion. He should do far side of course away from hotel first. I would recommend hotel but would warn people about noisy golf course maintenance
Good plain accommodation, with everything there that you need. Not luxurious but then the price was reasonable. The food was not good. We didnt try the exspensive restaurant as the food at the buffet wasnt great.
Hotel very clean, but too large.
Very good restaurant Services e.g. spa, golf, were 'add-on i.e. hotel did not offer a package service
The breakfast was overpriced and cold
great rooms, very clean, so quiet.good breakfast Big Hotel
A marvellous location, excellent comfort and services, reasonable rate, nice wellness center, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.
The overall looks and environment of the hotel The very expensive breakfast
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was functional Institutional feel, noisy air handling equipment and no access to local town.
We went to Dolce Chantilly to get away and have a break, to relax and unwind. Exactly what we achieved. When we previously stayed at the hotel they had a buffet dinner on in L'Etoile Restaurant whichwe would have liked to have seen on again.
Neighborhood is nice and calm, the hotel itself is good value for money The hotel should fix the button of the toilet (but it is small problem anyway)
TV, newly furnished carbets at room. closeness to the facilities such as Mac and oter resturants, RER and metro> good breakfast very safe nighborhood, i recommend it for budget travellers. staff are excellent very small double bed, I mean very small doesnt fit for one!!! , you hear everything around you like there were no walls. I had difficult times sleeping there especially when the house keeping start their job at 11 a.m
Good value for money, small but comfortable room, the neighbourhood is quite far from the touristic centre but very quiet and safe, nice restaurants nearby The hotel is not very close to the metro station, so be prepared to have at least 5-10 min walk, but the descriptions on the hotel own web site are very clear and make it easy to find. Be careful and later at night do not use exit G of La Defance metro station, as it does not seem very safe.
Bathroom was very clean, the room was quiet. The room was a little small, but good enough for our purpose: just to stay there at nights, during our city visit. The location is nice, about 15 minutes to the nearest metro station. I would definitely go bakc to stay there. Room was a little small, and the hotel was a bit hard to find, so be prepared with a map.
Its a very nice, clean hotel. The french breakfast is good.
I like the room, Internet is free and work well. It is very good for the price / facilities. Poor breakfast.
Cleanliness of the room, breakfast
I like location of Hotel La Régence brekfest
The 2 guys (Gregory was one of them, forget the other guys name) at reception gave great advise. No
"Mercure" parking place
Close to La Défense. The parking garage is difficult to access with baggage for a strong person. I would think that a frail person could not manage.
Clean and efficient.
Local to where I was going, good combo internet/pay tv package, good breakfast for france, resonabl eprice slow checkout, they need a kiosk checkout
Helpful staff Very noisy in the reception area and bar due to "tourist groups"
Breakfast: excellent. Hotel design and condition: perfect. Room facilities (safe, a/c, tv, etc.): perfect. Internet access: very convenient. Parking facility existing: ok. But extremely inconvenient: located in a nearby building. From that place to hotel entrance: combination of extremely narrow lift and stairs, very inconvient especially when carrying luggages. No temporary parking possibility in front of hotel entrance and no valet help. When being there first time by car, you are lost.
Convenient for La Defense area. Hotel was good value for money. The staff were very good, but checking in time was too long.
small bag with two bottles of water & snacks was given to me for city tour in checking in at reception littel bit long distance from parking space to reception, and small space at lift and stair case, so difficult to carry heavy big luggage. restaurant is closing for dinner
Clean, comfortable, quiet, nice view, friendly staff Rush time when leaving in the morning, wait for breakfast.
very expensive considering breakfast is extra cost effective poor rating the price , food poor
Loverly setting good restaurant and swimming pool. 5pm check in not too good considering check out is 12 noon.
A grand chateau hotel with good facilities in an excellent location. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which also helped us enjoy our stay. The service in the dining room did not match that of the rest of the hotel or the standard of the food it served, which deserved better.
The front desk staff was impeccable. The bar staff lacked personality and the menu left much to be desired. The room was disappointing as there was no character associated with the rest of the hotel.
lendroit et le batiment le tapis plein,la peinture de la chambre ainsi que sa grandeur.pas d'endroit pour déposer la valise
Very nice location and setting. The main building is historically interesting. The staff were friendly, and the room (in the main building)was large and comfortable, with the exception of some rather strange designer chairs. Nothing was quite as it seemed. The bar was luxuriously appointed, with a pleasant outdoor area, but service was intermittent - someone turned up every now and then to have a look. Bar prices are extremely high - would have been ok if the service had matched them. The (free) Wi-Fi wasn't working when we arrived, and it came as a surprise to the staff when it reappeared the next (Sunday) morning. There was a weird emphasis on security - a barrier at the main entrance when we returned to the hotel at about 9.30 pm, with one security man to take the car registration number, and another in the reception area. Perhaps a VIP was dining. For the room price, air-conditioning might have been expected, but was absent.
location, food They gave us a twin not a double - no champagne on arrival.
Beautiful Chateau in charming Chantilly area! Extra special with the golden leaves of autumn! You must look around their grounds. Whilst superb quality, the restaurant was pricey...
the bed rooms we did not see a lounge only the bar
The staff was vary friendly and helpful. It would be helpful if there was a check in possible by at least 1200. Most US tourists arrive at CDG very early in the AM.
Despite being very busy with conferences, the staff and kitchen performed at a high standard. Cuisine is definitely worth a Michelin star - we had a first class menu with all dishes well prepared and presented - and the prices for fine wines are as reasonable as they may be in France. Lovely ground, quiet, and quite efficient staff. For us a far more pleasant alternative to fighting the traffic from Paris en route to an early flight from CDG. Staff generously upgraded us. It seems a bit understaffed; this feeling may relate to our late arrival in the afternoon.
Large, clean, well appointed rooms No bar
Receptionist was friendly and helpful The decor looks and smells old, with badly lit corridors which are unpleasant. The TV was a portable, about 10 years old, with poor reception - strange, considering the 3 satellite dishes outside the window :-((
no breakfast included in the rate of the room
The hotel was very handy for Parc Asterix and in the middle of Chantilly, near restaurants and the Chateux
very good location near to town centre and chateau, close to station and only 25mins from Paris Gare du Nord etc. Fine hotel, but I don't think you should have to pay for out-door car-parking at back of the hotel, especially at weekends.
Efficient and well-run. Was happy to re-book for a return overnight stop.
The location was good, very comfortable room, quick lift, interesting reception area, light and airy breakfast room. Nice, soft water in bathroom. We stayed in August when many staff possibly on holiday. But the gardens looked neglected. Flowers and lawns in the town much better looked after. One out of three lights in the bedroom did not work. We expected housekeeping to put right - but not done. Towels rather thin - not worn out but just of poor quality. Soap could easily be better. Almost too small to get hold of and no perfume at all. A sign (small card in the bathroom) to say 'unperfumed soap available from reception' would enable the majority of us to have a small, hotel-size tablet of Roger and Gallet soap or Bronnley ( who make soap for Harrods I think, from Brackley, UK) and enjoy using.Breakfast was all right but uninteresting..Hotel's Indian restaurant was not good at all!
It was within walking distance of Chanitlly racecourse Tried to call reception but no one ever answered the phone!
the location of this hotel is good easy access to all of chantilly chateaux race course restaurants bars museum breakfast too pricey shower curtain was missing in one of our rooms asked for one but it did not arrive
quick check-in, friendly front-desk at 9:30 already no croissants / toast. breakfast not good value for money.
