With a stay at Château de Trigance in Trigance, you'll be in a regional park, within a 15-minute drive of Gorges du Verdon and Verdon Regional Natural Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location Staying in a real castle View Special atmosphere
Cons: No air conditioning Usually no need for one but it was hot that night
Pros: The restaurant offers a somewhat eccentric menu with one plat do jour (in our case steak) and then 4 or so platters of one category. For instance there was a charcuterie platter, a cured fish platter and a vegetable platter. My son and I were able to put together a more conventional dinner by sharing a vegetable and fish platter. The breakfast was fairly standard but very good with sweet pastries/croissants and breads, jams, fromage blanc, some cut up fruit and orange juice. Our morning departure was made more magical by us being surrounded by a cloud. A very lovely chateau.
Pros: We stayed for one in this magic castle after our trip in George du Verdon. It was fantastic to feel yourself a part of this powerful beauty. The mountains , the canyon, the castle. Astonishing emotions that make you tremble with excitement. The children were also very excited with this castle adventure.
Pros: There is a great terrace on the roof. Amazing experience to stay at an old chalet like this.
Cons: There were bed bugs. I counted 34 bites after spending 1 night there. We couldn't find the right way to the chalet by car. it’s better to focus on signs “chalet”
Pros: Chateau de Trigance is an amazing experience, food is good, staff is friendly, location is spot on, the room is big and comfy, good selection of provencal wines. It is an amazing feeling staying in a castle such as this. It exceeded our expectation on all parameters. And oh, the view on the top terrace - where you good enjoy your breakfast or an afternoon drink - is to die for.
Cons: Going into to extreme esthetic details, they have some flags on the top of the castle towers, which are not real flags but sort of metal plates - it might be cool with real flags... minor detail indeed...
Pros: Great breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast. Nice view of the valley. Space
Cons: Bed mattress too soft
Pros: Amazing place! A castle on a mountain over looking beautiful valley and quaint village.. Nice ppl / perfect place to unwind after a day in Verdon Gorge. What else could you ask for (esp as an American)?
Cons: I'm an AC junkie but even though it was August the room was perfectly comfortable being as we were so high up (and a relatively arid climate). I also wish there had been a cpl more dinner options but what they were offering the night we were there (duck) was delicious.
Pros: Wonderful tasty and rich breakfast. Superb ambiance and very friendly host. Its definitely a remarkable stay.
Cons: Bed was not very comfortable, it was way too soft. Mattresses should be replaced by newer ones.
Pros: The view from the terrace, the breakfast served on the terrace
Cons: The dinner (in terms of variaty of food) is too standard in comparison with the kind of structure
Located in La Bastide, Le Bois Faé is within a 15-minute drive of Verdon Regional Natural Park and Regional Natural Park of the French Alps. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Well appointed and artfully decorated room. Wash basin in the room which allows for two people to use en-suite facilities separately. Comfortable bed. Located in the foothills of a hill, in a picturesque area. Will make a good base for local hikes and exploring nature.
Cons: The room was cold despite the heater being set on maximum setting. The wind draft protection was poor. Can certainly do with improvements in this area plus triple glazing on the door and windows. The breakfast only comprised of two kinds of bread, jam, butter, tea and orange juice (not fresh). I had to buy my own eggs from Castellane for being boiled. The ceiling is quite low and people above 185 - 190 cm in height may struggle with it. Not easily accessible without a car and nearest amenities are at least 10 minutes drive away. 30 minutes drive to Castellane.
Pros: The location is really awesome. There was full moon that night and lots of fog because of the rein. Looked simply magical. Cats are also ready to be there for you 24/7.
Cons: It's hard to write such things as they might harm the business, but as a small business owner myself I know that small improvements have huge impacts on quality most of the time. Soooo: 1. This B&B was the most expensive and least worth it from four we went trough in our week long trip to Provence. Definitely not worth the price. 2. Breakfast is below acceptable level and having in mind that for non-southerners their breakfast looks like extra light snack - it was really bad. Coffee was served in a thermos. I'm not a food expert, but I can at least tell when bread and cake being served are a day or two old. One piece of butter. I understand that lots of food expectations when we speak France come from movies etc. but if you don't serve a croissant right from the oven, you must at least be decent enough to not serve old sweets or buns in plastic bags. 3. The room was quite comfy but the low ceiling makes it feel claustrophobic. Also there are lot's of small "spirituality" thingies like candles, but there were no matches. Probably because you're not allowed use open fire inside the room. Not sure. 4. What you're really not allowed to use (since it's marked PRIVATE) is a children play zone in the yard (with a slide, trampoline, bikes, cars etc.). It is understandable that host family wants to have something for themselves, but if you have business and invite people with children to stay at your place, me and my wife couldn't understand how would we explain our three year old son, that he's not allowed into the area where children of the host's are playing. Probably they'd allow children of their guests in there, I'm not sure, but then why the warning about privacy - it makes the guests feel not welcome. 5. It looked like the hostess was trying to avoid us the whole time of the stay.
Pros: A very friendly host and a beautiful and spaceful room in a quite and serene location. Kitchen available outside with all equipment needed.
Pros: A really nice family run b&b. I would definitely recommend it if you're traveling in the area.
Pros: It is a very nice family country house where you can rent a private room at ground floor with its own entrance and shower. All furniture is made of wood and a sink is marble made, which makes you really feel being in country side. Everything was very clean and the host lady was super nice and friendly. They have two pretty cats you can play with. The location is quite close to mountains and therefore the weather is very fresh there, was very pleasant to sleep.
Cons: As it is a country house close to the real fields and animal, there is an enormous amount of flies outside. We were very careful not to let them in to the room itself, but they are ridiculously disturbing during the breakfast. Also the breakfast itself is always the same food everyday although fresh (French breakfast).
Located in Trigance, Le Vieil Amandier is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Verdon Regional Natural Park and Gorges du Verdon. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We loved this little hotel - especially as our room had its own private area next to the swimming pool and the manager and other staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. It is just a few minutes walk to the centre of Trigance which is a beautiful hilltop village. There was an excellent breakfast in a shaded patio area.
Pros: Comfortable specially the terrace and the swimming pool
Cons: The shower didn’t work as it should
Pros: We are travelling around Europe for 6 weeks and this is the best place we have stayed at. The town, views, hospitality, and breakfast were amazing. It is not every day you get to have dinner in a castle.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Pros: Very quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast
Pros: Amazing place, very welcoming, nice view, great pool. It's quiet, nice and you feel like home.
Pros: This is a wonderful place. The hotel is very well kept, I felt very welcome. It is clean, comfortable, quiet, in the most lovely village, and breakfast is amazing. I am nostalgic just to think about it !
Pros: The kindness of Cécile and the delicious breakfasts.
Cons: The noice of the ventilator in the bathroom. Very loud.
Pros: location, breakfast, kindness of employees
Cons: wifi not available in the rooms
Pros: Beautiful location. Gorgeous hotel. Staff were very welcoming and so helpful
Pros: Breakfast was the best I ever had in french accomodations (including tasty Salami and jambon), a nice selection of marmelade, regional honey, scrambled egg, fruit salad, juice, ... The lady from the personal was very friendly and helpful and gave us also tips for planung our days (hiking, canoeing). She also organized us a taxi to drive us to the start point of the Blanc Martel hiking tour (shared group Taxi for a shared price). Nice outside area for breakfast. Nice pool. Great view. Very close to village.
Cons: Rooms were a little small but OK for 4 nights. No fresh (bakery made) bread at breakfast. No fresh fruits apart from (very tasty) apricots on two days. (Please note that we were however very satisfied with the breakfast - see "What I liked")
With a stay at Grand Hôtel Bain in Comps-sur-Artuby, you'll be in a regional park, within a 15-minute drive of Gorges du Verdon and Verdon Regional Natural Park. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Stayed in a family room. Facilities were as expected for a 2 star hotel. However, the restaurant at the hotel was superb. Top notch cuisine, very nice menu, heavy on game dishes, yum. The hotel is situated in a perfect starting position to view the Gorge from the south side.
Cons: Basic facilities as expected. Could have been a little cleaner. However, reasonably priced for a family room.
Cons: Breakfast would be nicer if ir started earlier and access to the bar later in the evening... but I totally understand that ir was a quiet time and the hotel and people were great. Thanks very much.
Pros: The restaurant was very good, the staff was really nice. Parking place for motorcycle was important.
Cons: Slightly older hotel needs a refreshment.
Pros: Very nice old small family hotel with great cuisine. Even old, hotel was really clean, comfortable and personnel very nice.
Cons: The food in the restaurant was horrible. We ordered entrecote with vegetables as a sidedish. The entrecote was burned and the veggies were almost cold and mashy.
Pros: I like the small town atmosphere, and as an American, I liked the genuine French culture of the area
Pros: Great staff and good restaurant
Pros: Kind staff, garage for motorbikes, good location
Cons: Restaurant very average and expensive
Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Auberge Verdon is a B&B situated in La Palud in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, 90 km from Fréjus, at the beginning of the Route des Crètes. Free private parking is available on site. Rooms have a private bathroom equipped with a shower. There is a shared lounge at the property. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including cycling and hiking. Grasse is 89 km from AUBERGE VERDON, while Gréoux-les-Bains is 58 km away. The nearest airport is Côte d'Azur Airport, 110 km from the property.
Pros: Very clean, very nice, very nice breakfast
Cons: It would be nice to have a refrigerator in every room instead of a shared one.
Pros: The room we had was very big, was very clean and had an awesome view on the Mt. Robion. The breakfast was a typical french breakfast with bread, marmalade and butter + a yogurt and orange juice and coffee or tea. Perfect for a long day exploring the Gorge du Verdon! The host was very nice and friendly and gave us some tips what to explore. Also a shared room with a couch and a fireplace has some information material about hikes, etc. and a big map to get an overview of the Gorge. The B&B is ~2km away from La Palud sur Verdon, and not directly at the main street which is nice, because the place is very quiet (no motorcycle noise...).
Cons: The mattress in our room was already quiet worn out and very soft. It was not so comfortable to lie on. Also the bed was only 190m long so for a tall person it was not optimal.
Cons: I've found hair from previous guests in the bathroom. At some point we didn't have hot water in the shower, only after one of us had taken shower
Pros: Very clean, very comfortable, great location
Pros: Conveniently located close to Point Sublime. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Not super comfortable nor clean, owner was not very friendly. He was cold and had no interest in making our stay in the area more enjoyable. We most likely should have stayed at La Palud or some nearby village, as the B&B was very isolated.
Pros: Very quiet, nice place. Our room was big, the bed is comfortable, the host is nice too.
Cons: Room is cold so I slept in a pullover, but it was not a big problem in hot summer. Wifi is weak.
Pros: The location is nice in case you are around the verdon. Clean and silent.
Cons: The room was so cold and breakfast was very little. The staff were normal, nothing in particular, but you don’t feel so welcomed.
Pros: Good return for the price - the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was nice compared to others we had in France. More comfortable than other hotels - we had cotton buds in our room, and there was a refrigerator for guests to use.
Cons: Location is a bit far from the village (and restaurants). The owner wasn't very nice, but he did help with what we needed.
Pros: Location, Outside garden, Free water, Nice host gace us good directions
Cons: Pillows could be better! :)
With a stay at Hôtel & Spa des Gorges du Verdon in La Palud-sur-Verdon, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Gorges du Verdon and Verdon Regional Natural Park. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Loved the location & the restaurant - excellent food with a stunning view
Pros: Very relaxing. Loved their commitment to sustainable tourism. Stunning location. Restaurant outstanding.
Pros: The room, the pool, the restaurant, the spa
Cons: Staff was brusque
Pros: Loved the bathroom concepts. Loved & was very impressed with the bed linen. Enjoyed the pool & spa facilities Fantastic view Tasty breakfast
Cons: Coffee came from a machine
Pros: Not much
Pros: lovely room - great bathroom
Pros: The best thing about this hotel is its location and views, which is why we chose it in the first place.
Cons: We did not feel it was value for money. We had a room to accomodate 4 people and the quality of the room wasn't up to standard based on what we paid for it. The wallpaper was peeling off in parts. No toothpaste or conditioner in the bathroom, no milk provided with the tea/coffee provided. When the rooms were cleaned they failed to take the dirty paper coffee cups and didn't provide replacement cups. I found some of the staff to be very blaśe in their attitude towards their paying guests. We felt quite dissapointed.
Pros: Location close to the Gorge de Verdon
Cons: The hotel is seriously short of staff. No room service, nor walk in dinner after 9 pm. Staff untrained and unfriendly and stressful.
Pros: Great location, amazing views from the restaurant. Very good food.
Cons: A little bit too pricy but it’s probably standard for the area.
Pros: Excellent location, very goid food and friedly personnel
Pros: The host was super friendly. We loved our stay at Le Coq en Pate. The location of the hotel is awesome. It is quiet and peaceful. You should try the pizza there. It was one of the best i ate in my whole life!
Pros: About 40 minutes by car from Point Sublime (one of possible starting points for Martel trail in Verdon canyon). Kind and friendly staff.
Pros: The arrangements for the late check-in were nicely done. The room decor was charming. Location is quite close to the Gorge of Verdon.
Cons: The tolling of the church bell in the morning can irritate light sleepers. The rooms were clean, however, when I wanted to take an extra pillow stored on the shelf, I found a hair on it, so it made me wonder why the pillow case wasn't changed or why that pillow was in the room. Room size can vary - one of our rooms was very spacious, the other one - not so much.
Pros: Location. All in all ok for one night
Cons: Staff not outright rude but unwelcoming. Bedding very simple and poor. No light in bedroom - probably they would fix it, but I was there one night only. Cherry on a cake - waitress in the restaurant at the dinner was drunk, though not too much.
Pros: Very calm, nice owners, nice breakfast, clean and cosy rooms
Cons: Too many flies
When you stay at Altitude 823 in Aiguines, you'll be on a lake, within a 10-minute drive of Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte Croix.
Pros: The view of the lake was amazing
Cons: Noisy in the room being above the outdoor dining area.
Pros: The place is great if your touring around the area and have transport, the town is small but that worked for me. Altitude its self is great the staff were very helpful the place was clean the food was very nice, I really enjoyed staying there, it's a laid back no rush sort of place again that worked for me.
Cons: No air con, other than that everything was great
Pros: location and view are amazing
Cons: the room is not very nice, old furniture and very warm (but we had a fan)
Pros: Location is quite good and there are amazing views from the rooms. The rooms was clean.
Cons: Extremely small double bed (I think 140 cm). Generally the room was very small and all furnishing was very simple and quite aged.
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Bathroom / toilet not cleaned very well. Mattress on the bed was uncomfortable and worn out. Poor WiFi.
Pros: The cleaner did a good job, especially in the bathroom, the room was spacious and well-located. Kind Staff.
Pros: Great veiw. Calm place. Close to Verdon. They speak english:)
Cons: There was no any clothes hangers or wardrobe in the room.
Pros: The view from the property is beautiful. Room did not gave View but there is a common area where we had wine and cheese for the view.
Cons: Small shower
Pros: The room was basic, but it was clean, had a nice view and very accommodating staff.
Pros: Location was excellent

Pros: Excellent position near Lake. Lovely food in restaurant, but menu same for two nights we were there, but choices. Rooms for a two star ad you expect. Nice spa area.
Cons: The grounds were a little scruffy
Cons: Bad bad internet - We have to pay to access indoor pool - Can’t take coffee with us to the room
Pros: Room was clean, nice and just renovated, spacious, balcony was nice. Good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to the lake and village.
Cons: Wifi was not working well.
Pros: The hosts were very nice and helpful Breakfast was rich. Comparing to other places.
Cons: The place doesn’t look as pretty as in the pics on your site . The facilities are very old. The room were non smoking but there was some stuffy smell In the room .
Pros: This hotel was as expected. A 2 star hotel with great location at a great price. Basic but sufficient breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Noisy rooms, had to be moved due to family with children on the floor above us. But once we got moved it was quiet. Albeit not as good a view in the new room.
Pros: The hotel needs updating - it looks nicer in the brochure than in real life. Everything looks a bit dated, particularly the bathroom. But it has a nice pool, and the breakfast was good as well.
Pros: The room was clean, and quite large. We were able to walk into town.
Cons: The information given was misleading: it’s more than 800m to the lake as advertised and the 500m we were told was the walk to town is more like 1km over unlit, rough terrain. Overpriced for what it was. Spa not included in price.
Pros: Easy access and location. Comfortable room
Cons: Wifi was very poor, when working slow but you cannot stay connected for long and then you have login/register all over again. This is very stressful when trying to make onward bookings loosing the connection part way through a transaction
Pros: Good location, friendly and helpfull staff, clean and tidy and the food was excellent.
Cons: We did not realise from the online info that there was a motor caravan site and fuel station directly in front of the hotel. Not a particular issue just some noise from balcony.
Pros: Great stuff, great food, superb location close to Verdon
Cons: Rooms not highly maintained

At the hotel, rooms are fitted with a desk, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. The rooms include a wardrobe. A continental breakfast is served daily at the property and the restaurant serves local cuisine. The area is popular for cycling, hiking and climbing. Verdon Gorge is 5 km from Le Provence.
Pros: Old fashioned bathrooms. Comfy bed.
Cons: Very hot, no air conditioner.
Cons: Booked a room with a balcony and photos showed balcony with nice views. Got a small terrace surrounded by walls and a view of the main parking/street.
Pros: Speed of check-in. Cleanliness of the rooms.
Pros: The hotel is clean, friendly staff and is a great location. Easy access to the road that takes you around the Gorge du Verdon.
Cons: All was perfect
Pros: Location was close to all walks within the gorges du verdon
Cons: When we arrived we got told they had an issue with our room and had to down grade us to a basic room as our room was not available for some reason. So instead of receiving a double bed and balcony with mountain view we got an attic roof size room with a very small window, no fan, two single beds, water ruined ceiling and peeling paint. It was a very uncomfortable and disappointing stay, we got told the hotel was fully booked with no explanation to why our room was not available so we assume they had double booked and our room was occupied so we got pushed into an attic. Will not be staying here again!
Pros: Easy to find and central for the town. Simple and clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The hotel was in a very small rock climbing village with little to do for non climbers hikers, only 2-3 places to eat.
Pros: Location! Location! Such a cute boutique hotel in the perfect location to explore the Gorge du Verdon. Nice room with little balcony. Amazing food at the adjoining restaurant. The owner was lovely and the staff were very helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!!
Cons: Nothing. Fantastic stay and we can’t wait to return!
Pros: Super location with fairly basic accommodation but did what we expected
Cons: Restaurant very average food and quite expensive-Italian/french restaurant at the traffic lights much better.
Pros: Fabulous location for exploring the Verdon Gorge. Really friendly and helpful staff.
Pros: The location is amazing
Cons: No air conditioning and the WiFi was really really slow

Pros: The view, the settings, the pool, the historic buildings and the breakfast.
Pros: Very very warm Welcome. Wenn really felt Welcome at the first glance
Pros: This property has such charm! We enjoyed the ambiance and the beauty of its surroundings. Breakfast was simple, fresh, and delicious!
Cons: It’s a hike to get to....windy roads for about 45min. However, totally worth it in the end!
Pros: The place is stunning, great views, really relaxing.
Cons: The swimming pool wasn't working which was really disappointing.
Cons: Beautiful setting and great hosts.
Pros: The outdoor and the building from a far and a seeming point of view
Cons: The room, the bathroom ( we couldn’t even wash our hands in the smallest washbasin I have ever seen in my life) ; there was no curtain in the small Windows so wake up at 6 am. Bed linen and blanket were old and towels so rough ... Last morning we could not have a shower, there was no running water. The room so small that we couldn’t even move. It was really disappointing because we didn’ t expect luxury rooms but simple and charming according to what they call a castle. It was a nightmare
Pros: Fabulous location, amazing place, lovely staff, beautiful situation, stunning views, brilliant breakfasts and glorious pool.
Cons: Very small hot rooms. Bathroom was too small to fit into!
Pros: The breakfast was simple, but more than adequate. Selection of jams, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses and drinks. Nothing to complain about. They have a horse and two donkeys outside which you can feed and watch from the window as well as other farm animals. The house is really-really beautiful and the views are magnificent.
Cons: The floor was noisy and we got checked in the wrong number initially.
Pros: This place was a hidden paradise. The views were spectacular and the perfect setting for breakfast in the garden. Facilities to use the kitchen and washing machine as well.
Cons: The rooms were very hot even with the fans on.

Pros: Very good location with wonderful views, lovely swimming pool, game room, free parking, friendly owners, only 30min to Gorges du Verdon, highly recommended.
Cons: Rooms need air conditioning and refurbishment although the owner said that it will sort this out soon.
Pros: Clean, heated pool,
Cons: Would be nice if they would sell snack, sandwich, etc.
Pros: Basic but clean room nice views
Cons: Don’t do lunch or dinners Bit of a walk down a dark road to village
Cons: No restaurant. Nearest is over a mile away
Pros: Good place to stay in La Palud sur Verdon. The family room was clean and spacious, and the view was beautiful. The hotel also has a nice swimmingpool and game area to spend the evening.
Cons: The breakfast was ok - I would have liked to have more savoury food options.
Pros: The swimming pool was quite nice
Cons: Old room, poorly furnished, small bathroom, only one socket for the electric devices... it is like time has stopped in the 70s.
Pros: The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. the whole stay was great (the view and the cleanliness).
Cons: For the breakfast, I think the only thing missing was a bit of salty foods (ex: eggs and cheese). in the bathroom, I would suggest mounting the showerhead so you dont have to hold it while showering
Pros: Stunning location. Awesome pool.
Cons: Noisy hallway in the morning.
Pros: It pass for very short stay, 1 night. Nice view from the terrace.
Cons: It seems that hotel have had good times some time ago with a lot of guests ir turist groups. Very simple interior, no bigger hospitality factor. Balcony on the first floor lacks privacy. Plastic chairs and very basic furniture. If you are looking for cosy place it is not the right place.
Pros: It has a nice view. The amenities were nice. The woman who waited on us for breakfast with the black hair was very nice and accommodating. The younger gentleman who checked us out was also nice.
Cons: The bed was horrible. It was so hard. Also the pillow was not a proper pillow. It was just a cylindrical puff that had no support. The last time I slept in a bed like this was at camp when I was a kid. After 2 nights on the bed our backs are very sore and we probably need massages to alleviate the pain. The shower is small and you and not able to turn around at all. This is more like a hostel than a hotel. It’s a cold and unfriendly environment and not at all what the reviews make it out to be. The older woman who is there doing the day was accommodating to let us use the phone and to help is when we arrived. But once we asked to use the refrigerator to store our wine, she became cold and unfriendly. The next day when we asked for the wine to enjoy a drink outside before dinner she was also cold and unfriendly again. We can only assume it was because we were not purchasing their wine they had for sale. We would not stay here again. We would spend the extra money to stay at the Hotel and Spa des Gorges du Verdon.
With a stay at Hôtel du Vieux Château, you'll be centrally located in Aiguines, within a 10-minute drive of Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte Croix. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage.
Pros: Excellent food and very friendly helpful staff
Cons: Noise at night . Had to sleep with windows open , no air conditioning , and there was a lot of noise from restaurant customers late into the night.
Pros: Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Gave us loads of local info. Ate lunch and evening meal there, both were excellent and good value for money.
Pros: Great location in the charming main square of the town, close to Verdon gorge, decent clean room (we had "comfort double room" and it was more than I expected from 2-star hotel). Town itself is great - cosy and charming, not crowded woth tourists.
Pros: Very lovely hotel and friendly staff.
Cons: There was no AC.
Pros: Staff excellent and hotel a traditional logis in lovely French village
Cons: The description of the hotel room as deluxe when it clearly was not but this did not spoil our stay for the positive factors mentioned above
Pros: The spacious and comfortable room but with a window giving to an exterior wall (negative point).
Cons: The unpleasant attitude of the manager
Pros: It was located right in the square of the village
Cons: Nothing, very friendly when we checked in and the staff was phenomenal. One of the staff speaks English and he was very helpful and friendly.
Pros: Brilliant location and easy to access.
Cons: It was very warm and there was no air conditioning (although we were there at one of the hottest periods)
Pros: Welcoming and helpful staff
Pros: Good location in town center square, and Aiguinnes was a great little town to stay and travel to the gorge.
Cons: Not many features for the price
Hotel Grand Canyon du Verdon is located 15 km from Aiguines city centre and is in the heart of the Gorges du Verdon, one of Europe’s most beautiful river canyons. Situated at high altitude, the hotel offers panoramic views of the landscape. The colourful guest rooms feature a balcony or terrace, a flat-screen TV, a telephone, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. Many look out over the river canyon. The hotel has its own restaurant and terrace with panoramic views which serves traditional French cuisine. Breakfast is available each morning, serving cereals, bread, yoghurt, jam, ham, hot beverages and fruit juice. The hotel is perfectly located for adventure activities, such as rafting, climbing and practicing water sports. If you prefer to relax, you can enjoy walks, fishing and exploring nature.
Pros: Location , terrace
Cons: Very old rooms
Pros: View, air
Cons: No working wi-fi, poor breakfast
Pros: The location of the hotel is good if you plan to hike down the Verdon canyon (be aware that you have to climb up the canyon at the end of your hike to reach the hotel).
Cons: The room and dinner/breakfast (there are no alternatives around) were pricy in consideration of the quality but still ok if you plan to do a hike around.
Pros: Amazing, stunning setting looking over the Verdun gorge...
Cons: I didn't feel warmly welcomed as a guest on my arrival. The room had no shower gel or soap in the dispensers (the bags inside were empty and not replaced). The bath a bit tatty round edges. In the evening, I was given the "english menu" and was not told there were plat du jour options (which included some cheaper options, one of which I would have chosen) The food wasn't that great - £16 not justified for poor lamb, ok chips... I was told I could eat earlier than the given time and sat in the dining room, butI was thrn left completely unattended until I eventually had to go and ask for a beer. Given its amazing and beautiful setting, this hotel and restaurant should be a flagship for Logis. Instead, it's very badly-organised, and really over-priced for what it is currently offering. I don't blame the staff, they're doing their best, but they need proper training and leadership. Logis and its management that need to work on things...
Pros: Staff friendly and food good. Location amazing.
Cons: Room needs updating, although family room better than expected with 4 beds.
Pros: 1. Very nice view of the grand canyon. 2. The staffs are very helpful, they are trying everything to help you. 3. The room is very clean, they clean every day. 4. You can eat at the restaurant even if it's out of normal dining time.
Cons: 1. There is no mobile phone signal in this area and the Wi-Fi connection is very poor. 2. There are a lot of flies and bees around this area. It could be annoying when you are eating. 3. You don't have many choices for breakfast, fruits are very limited.
Pros: Magnificent view Good price Clean
Cons: Basic breakfast (with good coffee though)
Pros: The location is amazing, some of the staff were very friendly, and while the room was very basic, it was fine for a night.
Cons: The hotel is exactly as others have described - very very basic, but in a beautiful spot. Remember to bring your own water as you can't drink tap water that high up.
Pros: Service is very friendly and the view is amazing. Dinner is very tasty and all the staff friendly and more than endeavored. They speak Frdnch, English and one German. Parking for our very long van and 3 motor bikes were no problem. A very good place to stay. We enjoyed it 4 days.
Cons: The rooms are huge enough for a few nights, for a longer time we would prefer more space. The furniture is old fashioned, it should be remodelled. We had no hangig for our shower head and only bathtub.
