staff very nice and helpfull. 100/100
Location. Staff. Facilities. Shower/bathroom
Sorry but i would not recommentd this hotel. The walls are too thin and you could hear everything that was going on closing doors, walking dow coridors and the person next to you talking
Its location was perfect, in the centre of Lahinch but slightly off the main street so no noise at night. The bar needs to be revamped.
Rooms were big and clean Breakfast was cold, service poor.
The room was clean and spacious, the receptionists were pleasant and courteous and the hotel at large was clean and modern. Website led me to believe that the hotel over looked the beach and wifi throughout which there wasn't. The shower was poor.
The proximity to the beach and town was exellent, staff were lovely and really helpful We were staying in a room on the first night that was backing onto a nightclub, it wqasso loud and we couldn't sleep until the nightclub was finishred,we asked to be moved which we were but we didn't receive an apology or anything to compensate us.
Location and staff more entertainment needed in bar
they made a suprise party a great event the lay out of the rooms was very confusing
Center of town. Good sized, well furnished rooms.Friendly efficient service. Excellent breakfast. No aircon in the rooms and the windows could only be opened a few inches. Noise till four in the morning from a night-club directly below our room!
I liked the location. And the breakfast was excellent. It was too modern...didn't feel like Ireland.
Beautifully designed luxurious hotel with a very friendly owner. He gave us great information to facilitate visits. We got the best room. We liked the breakfast. One of our best ever hotels.
good location, friendly staff especially in the restaurant. room was very comfortable, especially the bed. best bed have ever slept in, of all the hotels we have slept in.
Restaurant was excellent although expensive. Owner/manager was very helpful and courteous. Some things were lacking. Although only a 4 star hotel the prices justified 5 star facilities such as dressing robe and slippers and tea making facilities. Also felt bedding was fairly inferior.
Short walking distance from the beautiful surfing beach at Lahinch. Spacious comfortable rooms, with stunning local photographs throughout the hotel, attracting us to visit the Cliffs of Moher and other local beauty spots.
Liked freindly staff and lounge/bar area was very cozy and comfortable. Liked being able to walk into town. Enjoyed breakfast too.
Had an excellent stay. Best breakfast. Wonderful service from all the staff. A really well run establishment
The staff at the Vaughn Lodge were so patient with my family. We were on our first vacation with our infant son and the staff embraced us and our chaos! They frequently went above and beyond to help us with our son. We would definitely stay with this amazing staff again!
We were only there for a brief evening prior to a day of golf. The accomodations were good - breakfast very good. No
~The dinner was excellent and the waitress was very friendly When I arrived at reception, although someone saw I was there, I was completley ignored.
The hotel was exactly how it was described and the photographs reflect an accurate account of the look of the hotel. The rooms were very spacious, ask for a sea view! We found the staff very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. I felt the prices in the bar were a little expensive, over 10 euro for two drinks. Would recommend the hotel accomodation and food but would rather take the short walk to the village to visit the local pubs.
Loved the fact that staff understood the language because they were of English spoken language as a first language. Great staff, very professsional, helpful, courteous, friendly and efficent. Will definitely return to The Atlantic Hotel. Situated on Main/High Street was a great advantage for location also. No, in honesty there was nothing we didn not like about the hotel. It was very good value for money, ideally situated for most travellers. Easy access and food was good.
the staff were very friendy and professional. it was comfortable, relaxing and had a lovely choice for breakast. the room i was in was on the street so was woken by the noise of pub leavers at 3 in the morning...i also found the room cold that night and could done with more covers!!!
Convenient to the beach, surfing, top class golf course, Cliffs of Moher. Extremely friendly and efficient staff and management. Excellent food. Some late night noise, which may have been the aftermath of an hotel function. Though when this was mentioned a room change was offered instantly and carried out. Room temperature orange juice, but only once.
great location great touring base for north clare staff were very friendly
Relaxed atmosphere. Staff pleasant, ease in contactimg them.
Clean. Low cost. Close to golf course. Friendly staff. Good food Shower water was very hot.
The staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble. And provided with pleasantness and good humour. Parking a little difficult at times, but this was more than made up for by some staff members who dropped everything to go out to the car park and do a "reshuffle"
It suited my purpose as I only needed someplace to sleep for the night. The breakfast was very good with a copious amount of food. It is a fairly basic hotel with an easygoing atmosphere The lock on the bedroom door was faulty
friendly staff, comfortable room, in great location, breakfast was good Did not like evening meal, chicken & bacon salad was inedible, seemed to be leftovers, would not eat there again
The location, Lahinch is a lovely place. The staff were friendly and obliging. Two items needing attention were seen to while I was out. Food was excellent. There is no room for expansion, but car parking facility is a minus. A car was vandalised overnight when I was there. Not the hotel's fault, but un-nerving none-the-less.
Location. Clean but basic. Basic.
Room was very cosy and warm and staff were extremely friendly!
The Staff were fantastic, the food was great and very good location.
The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, and the food. Yes. The room looked very very dated with old furniture and fittings. Very bad really. The bathrrom, in contrast was pretty good.
yes we did like our stay at the shamrock inn hotel.it was basic but clean and comfortable and matched our needs. great location and staff were very good. would book again. i had to go looking for somebody to check us in on arrival. we had to go next door for breakfast in the morning, breakfast was just ok.
staff very friendly and accomadating, food suberb, manager declan was excellent at his job not enough tv channels and no internet
Location very good, Staff friendly
The hotel was simple, homely and relaxed. The staff were a delight, helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and catered for all types - comfort and gourmet. The room was spacious and very clean. I had a very happy and contented stay. Parking a bit of a problem.
size and comfort of room
Lovely clean modern hotel, friendly staff but a bit quiet. Not much atmosphere in bar maybe because of time of year. Quiet
The receptionist was really friendly and very helpful on arrival. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel bar was very quiet.
Clean facilities. Beautiful views NO WIFI FOR ROOMS. Only available in main lobby. Not very convenient for international travelers. No one at reception. The staff seemed to be spread very thin. The receptionist is also the concierge, bartender and server. Bed was very hard.
Over all I really enjoyed my stay, the room - esp. for a "sole" traveller was really good. Its size was also a big plus for me, I was dreading a busy pub with a few rooms attached Breakfast on sunday was very good Tell the kitchen to take off the mashed peas from the salmon. My first room had no hot water and I had to push for another room - and I was staying two nights!! Reception staff did not have great local knowledge - I heard a family being recommended a walk along the cliff of Moher when they really wanted a beach for the children to run wild on.Breakfast on Saturday morning was not great
The hotel is new and very nicely furnished with new beds and spacious rooms, clean bathroom We booked a tripple room but they only had a double when we got there as we were a little late arriving
definately the innkeeper, Mary. she is wonderful! it is like staying with family!
The bed was amazingly comfortable with lovely sheets. Good service and communication prior to and during our stay. Very informative on the local area. Good location to the Cliffs of Moher and some pretty nice views (when it's not raining) Shower was a bit small
The personal and familiar atmosphere and a good breakfast. Would be great if there were glasses in the rooms and bathrooms.
Very nice welcome from the family
Excellent all round - we loved our time there. Beautiful views, comfy beds, great breakfast. Thankyou Mary!
we stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful stay. The White Family who run this B&B were so friendly and made our stay with our two young children a wonderful visit to this beautiful area of Ireland. Would stay again here when we return to Ireland. They went out of their way to make it a wonderful stay at their beautiful B&B.
Friendly welcome, tea served. The cleanliness, everywhere. Very comfortable.
It was very peaceful in a beautiful part of the country
Owners were friendly and the location to the Cliffs of Mohr excellent. The morning breakfast was plentiful and tasty. There was a security motion detector in the bedroom which lit up every time you turned over. It caused a bit of disturbance throughout the night.
Only spent one night there, but the hosts were amazing! Arrived very early and asked for a spot to leave our luggage. They were nice enough to let us go straight to our room! Just next to two great pubs and a few minute walk to shops and a few minutes more to the dock. Lovely town, easy to find, and great breakfast. Super nice staff...I could go on. Definitely going to visit them again! The only negative is that we only had one night there. Nothing bad to say about the place.
Best hotel we stayed in Ireland. Staff were great, hotel clean and very well maintained.
Had a less than ideal stay at a hotel in Belfast the night before and gave it a bad rating. Here's what I wrote at the end of that review: "The next night I stayed at the hotel Doolin near Galway. Walked to my room, given a newspaper, asked if I needed a wake up call, given a free drink at the bar, breakfast included, plenty of parking, a beautiful clean modern lobby and a wonderful bed, all for less money. The contrast was remarkable..." Absolute pleasure to stay at Doolin. Nothing. Fantastic place.
the breakfast was tasty!!! no
Hospitality and friendliness of staff and lovely hotel.
The Hotel Doolin is a new and trendy hotel. It is fairly new and tries to use a green approach to doing things. Although its a fairly new property the hotel does have a few downsides. We had a problem the first night we stayed there with the shower drain. Basically it wouldn't drain. To make a long story short we switch rooms for our second night and when we got in there the sink wouldn't drain. This was a minor inconvenience. However my thought is this: With the hotel being fairly new I would think it would be better maintained. You can't exactly clean a sink or shower without running the water, so the cleaning staff should notice it and get it fixed before customers check in.
The location was perfect to visit such places as the cliffs of Mohar and the Burren.
Very clean and central to the Burren Bit pricey
Amazing staff.Freindly and helpful, they really put you at your ease and made you feel at home
Brand new hotel only 4 years old with pubs and restaurant close by. Modern decore, new furniture, quiet room and comfortable beds. We had a restful nights sleep. Gus O'Connor's pub is 5 - 10 minute walk away (though you will need to bring along a flash light if you choose not to drive there after dusk) Free Wifi was only available in the hotel lounge and unreachable from our room 2 rooms away from the lounge. Not sure if this was because we stayed during the off peak season (November) when the hotel was mostly vacant.
The hotel looked very bland from the outside and it was out of characterwith the traditional village surroundings. The interior, however was very classy and well designed and the room was large and elegant.
There are several B&B nearby, but this offers a nice alternative. Connected to a restaurant and pub and with a nice lobby area, good alternative if the weather isn't good. Not quite walking distance to other pubs, but a very short drive on a very quite road, these are still good options.
from the greeting to departure a sense of quiet effeciency. room was little warm when heating came on.......but otherwise perfect.
the hospitality and the peacefull surroundings.
The breakfast and the outlook over the fields and river from our bedroom window. The proprietor was very welcoming an friendly
A wonderful facility located on a hill with a view to the back. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent. The location is convienient to the cliffs and Doolin. No complaints.
Excellent breakfast. Very quiet place. A very pleasant B&B.
Extremely helpful owner. Great "Full Irish" breakfast. Great location to western coast of Ireland and Cliffs of Moher. A very clean and well appointed, boutique hotel in rural Ireland.
Excellent - nice place to stay-
I like the view and the hospitality of the owner. No there was nothing i did not like.
It was the best of a hotel, but the charm of a B&B. The facilities were great. Comfortable, clean and with several nice touches (complimentary bottles of water, washcloths, tea/coffee in room) The breakfast was included in the rate and was excellent. It was only a 10 minute drive to the Cliffs of Moher. Very good location. no complaints.
