Don't be fooled by the pictures of the gorgeous lobby the bay front rooms are awful! Smells moldy, broken patio door handle, etc. we walked in the room and I about cried!! So much for a romantic 1 year anniversary trip. The smell alone made me sick! The rooms say non smoking but there was an ashtray. We left and went down the road to Camden on the lake. More expensive but WELL worth it!!!!! We will NEVER EVER go back!!
Pool areas were nice. There was no breakfast included and no refridgerator in our room for drinks etc. we didn't know we should have brought a cooler for drinks. Also didn't know there was a resort fee added to our ticket of $10.00 per night.
they have wrong room for our reservation. manager had to come to correct the mistake. it was promised a water view and we were charge more, but we did't see the water view. it was covered by trees and cars. we couldn't sleep well because, next door or across from us had the alarm going very early and it was going on for hrs and hrs, we had to get up and leave early and unplanned. it ruined our trip. bar tender need more training. he couldn't make apple martini. after he took a book to see how it is made, we canceled our order and went to our room. this is a big name hotel, not to know how to make a drink the fire place was good. the water flow in the hotel was very nice.
Loved the pontoon we rented from the marine and the location on the lake! Saw them working on all the swimming pools, but that's the only work I saw being done. The remodeling project has been taking forever and I see very little progress in the lobby, the multi-level addition with the stream running through it, and no updating of the rooms. Our balcony door did not lock. Our air conditioning unit was ancient and never got the room cool enough in April so I can't imagine how hot rooms will be in July.
Should be closed during renovations! What a mess!
The efficiency and friendliness of the front desk and Breezes' staff (Grace). The cleanliness and size of the room. Location, Location Location for shopping and dining. The Breezes was perfect for our departure breakfast.
Our room was large and spacious and the accommodations were the epitome of luxury, by far the best place we've found at the lake!
Very nice and large rooms, no matter the size/price point. Great staff, great pool, and great restaurant located within. Although delicious, the meals were very expensive.
The location on horseshoe bend at the lake is great! You are near the dam and local stores. Our room had carpet that was very stained. It was so bad that I was concerned about walking around in bare feet! It would have been ok if the carpet had just been old but clean. This was both old and dirty with stains. While the rest of the room was clean this made me worry about the rest of the room the whole time.
The hotel was closed for renovations although I was allowed to book on get-a-room and received a confirmation. It was 4th of Juky weekend, so extremely difficult to find another room. Hotel will be nice once renovated (will be a Radisson property), but will never book on Kayak and/or get-a-room again. Beware!
I loved how nice the staff was especially in the face of dealing with overbooking. I did not like being placed in a smoking room when requested non-smoking.
The staff seamed to try to work with our needs. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast had more options then most. The hotel advertises a hot tub, and exercise room. The hot tub was not hot even after I asked about it several times. The exercise equipment was run down and did not work. The WIFI was very weak and I could not even use it. We had two rooms and the phones did not work, so I had to walk to the counter every time I needed to deal with an issue. The bath room had mold in the shower.
