Lobby was clean and comfortable with ample seating and a fireplace. No free breakfast , restaurant only which cost extra. Checkout for our stay was noon and at 10am the housekeeper barged in without warning, no knock, or announcement.
Pool, workout room, staff was great in answering any questions we had. Hard to get back on the NJ Parkway. Very slow wi-fi.
Old even with recent up dating. No elevator. Dirty water coming out of pipes. Smelled funny
Continental breakfast was very good. Waffles, bagels, etc. Staff was very helpful. Fridge, desk and TV in room were well sized and suited. Kayak stated there were couches in the rooms. They do have couches at this location.
Staff was very nice. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Overall a very nice stay. Hallway didnt have a great smell.
The staff couldn't have been nicer. The lobby and the building itself is absolutely gorgeous. The location of the hotel is prime for going to the boardwalk or the nearby venues such as the Stone Pony. The pool was a really nice area in which to relax. The rooms were nice but for $300+ a night (the going rate for a summer weekend), I would have expected it to be nicer. The room was small, which was expected, but it seems the room hasn't been updated in several years. The bathroom is a bit strange - at least ours was. The sink was super shallow and the shower doesn't have a curtain or door. It has a glass panel that doesn't fully prevent the water from spraying onto the bathroom floor. Not the worst hotel room I've stayed in but not the best one for the price paid.
Location No hot water in the morning.
Guadalupe at the front desk was awesome!
Great location! Right across from the beach and walking distance to everything. Staff was friendly - everyone smiled and said hello. Easy and quick check in process. S L O W elevators!
The ocean view was so relaxing. Hotel was quiet, but going off season, that's to be expected. Bed comfortable, staff helpful and nice. Hot water took over ten minutes to go on. Windows drafty and hotel is old. They can use some updates. Had some issues checking in that annoyed me but overall it was ok.
The outside of the hotel looks better than the inside of the hotel. The hotel is located in a quieter section of the boardwalk. I received a text message at 2 o'clock telling me my room is ready, when I arrived at 6 o'clock my room was not ready. They upgraded me to some sort of better room however it was disgusting! Holes in the couch, dirty windows and Doors that were falling off the hinges. The valet boys do not help with the bags. They only allow you to keep your car until 12 o'clock for an additional $20 fee
The hotel is conveniently situated across the street from the beach and boardwalk. We had called and asked to arrange for parking but when we arrived we were told that they were all booked up because of a wedding and we had to park at meters. Our bathrooms were dirty. There was a safe in my friends room but none in mine and when I asked why I was told that it didn't matter anyway because they didn't have the keys for them. My friends bed sheets were stained and she asked for housekeeping to change them and was told that that was normal wear and tear. We wanted to go to the hotels bar located on the first floor but we're told they were closed until August but then they opened the next day. Right now it's 1:22am and I'm sitting here waiting for about an hour now for someone to come because our tv doesn't work. Not worth the hefty price per night. It's definitely a 3 star hotel at best
The location and the view were great. The pool was also nice. We spent $600 for two nights at this hotel. A beach weekend for our family of four. When we checked in, they said we could park our car for the first night only (which we had to pay $20 for) but we'd have to move our car to street parking by noon the next day because there was a wedding and they wanted to reserve the onsite parking for wedding guests. That seemed crazy to me. The street meters had a 3-hour limit, so we spent our weekend walking back to the street every 3 hours to feed the meter. A good hotel doesn't do this to their guests. The building looks pretty run down from the outside. It's old and there were some broken windows. Our room was fine, but the overall experience wasn't worth the money we spent. I'd look for something else next time.
right across from the beach
We were given free parking to compensate for the fact that our room was not ready upon our arrival. The hotel restaurant was not available during our stay, which was a huge disappointment. The handles on the dresser were broken, the volume button on the iHome was broken, and there was some sort of water damage to the ceiling. There was also a round of housekeeping where some trash was not removed.
the people that work at the hotel was very nice, polite and friendly the maid that clean my room was very sweet, polite and respect woman because i gave her a tip and she was happy the breakfast was terrible the chair of the pool a lot of them are broke and no comfortable at night people screaming and very noise,i call the security to let them know i ask for ocean view but the room only had very little ocean view a building was block the view because i was on the 4 floor,i pay the ocean view and i feel i loss my money because the view was horrible
Location. No parking available for my car. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. No holder for the toilet paper, we had to leave it on the floor in the bathroom. TV reception was poor. TV was not an HD TV which one would think was standard in 2016, especially at a net rate of $250/night for a beach hotel. Handle on chest of drawers was broken couldn't use the second drawer. None of the drawers were on their tracks. Sliding closet doors were off the track. Touted as a dog friendly hotel, the cleaning crew was not obligated to clean the room if the dog was in the room at the time they arrived.
Our sleep number bet didn't work with 2 people in it. Very uncomfortable
Good Location Old work out carpets in the room and hallway Smelly and dingy looking bathroom Seems to be an old building that needs some upgrade and facelift Noisy
Room was comfortable and clean- bed and chair with ottoman Loved the refrigerator and safe in room Loved the shower set up totally cool! Loved the shower gei, shampoo. Body lotion, mouth wash and soaps Loved rhe coffee maker I'vei was surprised that the interior of the hotel although clean wasn't more modernized. I knew that I was staying at anRadisson Hiotel but looking around as one walks through the hallways to the elevator you don't get that Radissom vibe The rates are too expensive.
Room safe was inoperable. The sleep number bed controls would not work- fortunately the beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We like to stay here due to its location and have done so for many years and expect to continue in the future.
Super comfortable beds, quiet and clean. The staff was great and the location was perfect.
Room was beautiful and clean. Staff was friendly. Overall great value, would stay here again. Saw two small bugs, possibly baby crickets in the room. Alerted the staff and they returned half a nights fare back.
We stayed in a suite that was clean, with a full kitchen. It was excellent for families as there were basketball courts and grills outdoors. The room itself was clean and comfortable.
Everyone was friendly and very knowledgeable The bar closed too early
Clean, complete, just what we needed. My son and I were staying after a tournament to go to Six Flags. It was a good price and just what we needed. Nice folks. Not too fancy, not too cheap, just right.
Service was the best I've seen
The room was very clean. Very friendly people working desk . Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the morning breakfast was very nice. Paying $3 for a bottle of water from there snack center.
Location The front desk person kept disappearing and people trying to check in were asking me if there was anyone working I asked for a cork screw and front desk refused to look for one and said "we don't have any" and then tried to give me scissors to "break into" my wine- never once said I will make the suggestion to my manager to have one on hand for guess
The staff were wonderful.
Excellent service. Family first!!!!
Close to the bars and clubs, two short blocks from the beach and bored walk, we went off season so there was not many people there but we had a blast Wish it wasn't so cold out so we can you the pool
It was awesome being so close to the beach and boardwalk. The pool was a nice plus too. The rooms were tidy and clean nothing fancy though. I booked the room online for a certain price for 2 people. When my friend and I went to check in the guy at the desk was very upset that there were two of us and tried charging me 70 dollars more. I showed him the recipient I received via email stating that I did book it for 2 people. He still argued with me and said I had to pay the 70 or find another motel. We did pay the 70 because my card was already charged for the room. I was very offended by his rude demeanor. Also I was told the room had one of those couches that turns into a bed. Turns out it was just a regular couch no pull out I paid extra for the couch...The bed was very uncomfortable very stiff.
Room was clean and looked freshly painted, pool was nice and only 2 blocks to beach. Bar across the street was a little loud but A/C drowned out the noise.
The staff and owners were all very friendly, professional, and helpful. The kitchenette in the room was very useful and the complimentary beach tags and breakfast coupons for surrounding restaurants were very nice touches. Overall a great stay in seaside heights we will be back again. Televisions could be updated but this is a very minor issue.
I liked that it was a block from the boardwalk and it was pretty clean IT IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM A CLUB THAT IS OPEN UNTIL 4 AM!
The room was clean but run down The room was run down and overpriced
Great value for the cost. Not many dining options nearby, but Wawa across street offers a surprising variety of healthier grab-and-go options.
I was a very nice stay. Courtyards aren't usually top tier so that's why I gave it 4 stars however it was nice and clean and comfortable. The pool was freezing cold and really needs a heater and the whirlpool had far too much chlorine which made me feel a little sick after use.
Location was excellent - hotel bar, lounge areas, entertainment options and pool, etc. were great. Our room was on the small side and was missing basic things like a coffee maker. I like the modern look, but the room wasn't upscale modern, it felt very ikea modern. So for the week-day rate/deal I got, it was fine, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay any more for the room we had.
Really enjoyed the nightly live music events in the lobby/bar area! The hotel is also about 3 blocks from the Boardwalk, and a 5 minute drive to downtown Asbury Park, where there are some great little restaurants and bars. Just an excellent location. The rooms have a very "college" vibe, but are bright, homey, and comfortable. You can also order food delivered directly to your room from a local place called JR's, which has a large menu and pretty good food.
Close to the beach and boardwalk Floors are thin. Was constantly woken up during the middle of the night
1. Location. 2. Decor 3. Cleanliness 4. Friendliness of staff 5. Size of bathroom 6. The rooftop lounge: Gorgeous views over the entire city. It's nice that there is a separate entrance than the hotel to get to the lounge. 1. The room decor looked like it was Ikea. Clean lines, but looked cheap. 2. Poor design of shower. Nice big bathroom. I liked the tile. Note that my bathroom had a standup shower, not a tub (I'm not sure of all rooms though). The water from the showerheard must have exceeded the drains ability to drain, because by the time I was done, the towel I placed on the floor was soaked!!! Not moist but soaked. The threshold may not have had enough heights. 3. I was in my room until sometime in afternoon. The cleaning people knocked and said I wasn't ready, but they never came back. Not that I'm particulary smelly so it didn't matter much, but it would have been nice to have come back to a made bed.
The design of the hotel is beautiful. Fells very west coast and has great access to the beach. Rooms are really small and do not have anything like, coffee machine, fridge, or microwave. Also no adjoining rooms in the hotel.
Close to beach and boardwalk. bad water pressure, and limited hot water.
Just needed a place to shower and sleep, it was fine for that. Good location/good price. Kind of strange room setup, bedding kind of stiff, towels felt like food service towels, shower water pressure was pretty low, a ceiling tile was super moldy?
It was old but clean. Pool is very small. Only a couple of blocks from the boardwalk and the beach
Beautiful location and helpful staff. Poor breakfast.
Great combination of B&B and hotel. Turn of century boarding house, updated in keeping with period but modern facilities. Nicely decorated room, good closet space and amenities, bathroom updated and adequate. Will return. Good value in the Fall. Not far from beach, on the lake.
We like the location in respect to the Island Beach State Park. The rooms are big enough to accommodate our family of four. The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful. The price was excellent; it still can't be beat even though this is no longer a Holiday Inn. We have been coming to this hotel for ten years. This is the first trip as the TR Hotel. We were a little concerned about the quality and service. The service was still good and the quality was hanging on at "good". Unfortunately the hotel will need an injection of cash soon. The place is fraying at the edges both literally and figuratively. My daughter commented on the mustiness right when we walked into the room. I noticed the fraying bath mat and the hole in the shower curtain. My husband noticed the misalignment of the sink's counter top. Through our stay I noticed that the walls needed paint or new wall paper. I feel bad because we don't know why it's not a Holiday Inn; maybe because of Sandy. We will give it a try again next year. Hopefully they will have chance to take care of the details.
Staff helpful and went out of way to help. Convenient to everything. Rooms were clean and neat. Pool was wonderful to use in February with 2 grandchildren. Family and business friendly. While we were there they had a problem with wifi . Resolved but count on internet.
The Place is clean and the staff is friendly when you check in. The rooms are nice and the beds are of good size. It's close to a lot of local Toms River attractions and not far from the beach. They do not have enough carts or anyone to help you with your bags. Our Room was supposed to have a fridge it did not. Hotel staff is friendly but it stops there no real help your on your own. Side door to enter seems to be broken for weeks as we had to go through the front entrance and walk around the building which is a hassle when you have nobody to help with bags or enough carts. No water in rooms you have to bring your own or use vending machine.
Close enough to the beach without all the small hotel near the beach drama It was quiet and clean. Happy hour drink prices were still high.
It is only approximately 15 minutes from Seaside Heights and a very easy drive, I heard every single sound, conversation, etc. from the hallway including the ice machine and laundry room. The staff at the front desk during check out was not friendly at all. She basically took an extended amount of time to even look up and then simply said have a great day with a smirk. She didn't ask about my stay or anything. There was some type of party or event that created rowdiness through out the night. If this is occurring then it is fair that other guests are told. I stayed there because it was close to a work event that i needed to prepare for the following day and I wasn't able to accomplish anything,
The TR Hotel needs to be five stars
Friendly staff, good location Pool area was spotless Hotel rooms and interior need a face-lift but everything was clean but dated. Bathroom needs a vanity to put your toiletries on.
bed and sheets. Pillows sucked pillows were too small

Convenience to my destination. There was an over-bearing 'funky' odor in the elevator. Vacuum gave off terrible smell. There was a $5 charge per person for breakfast buffet. The hostess in the dining room was too prompt clearing our table; like the moment we put down our forks.
They were very accommodating. Kept the the pool open late for us. Most hotel have a free breakfast and although theirs was only $5 per person, 3 breakfasts for 5 days adds up
location, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the included breakfast. should be renovated/remodeled soon
I was amazed how many weddings and events going on. The staff cleaned up and was ready for next event. We had a room with jacuzzi, I don't use them but very nice. No! My family dances there on Friday and Saturdays evenings. Great place!
location was ok - but the entrance drive was poorly marked. It is behind a Burger King. ENTRY DRIVEWAY NOT WELL MARKED AND IS CONFUSING WITH THE BURGER KING IN FRONT OF IT. NO ELEVATOR IN THE BUILDING TO MY SECOND FLOOR ROOM. ARM CHAIR IN MY ROOM WAS STAINED AND DIRTY. I CHECKED OUT A DAY EARLY AND SLEPT ON A SOFA AT MY COUSIN'S HOUSE.
Exercise room was better than most. Good equipment, good temperature, great availability. Breakfast buffet was excellent, but cost of $5 lessened value of it some. Staff was excellent. Why can't you make a left turn in NJ or PA. This absurd traffic problem made the location less than optimal.
We liked that the room was clean and the hotel itself appeared nice. Our room was right at the top of the stairs, and the bar directly at the bottom of the stairs was incredibly loud with club music and drunk people yelling. The view out of our window was barbed wire and a wall. I felt like they put us in the worst possible room because we booked it through an outside site instead of directly through them.
