The room was clean but run down The room was run down and overpriced
I liked that it was a block from the boardwalk and it was pretty clean IT IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM A CLUB THAT IS OPEN UNTIL 4 AM!
It was awesome being so close to the beach and boardwalk. The pool was a nice plus too. The rooms were tidy and clean nothing fancy though. I booked the room online for a certain price for 2 people. When my friend and I went to check in the guy at the desk was very upset that there were two of us and tried charging me 70 dollars more. I showed him the recipient I received via email stating that I did book it for 2 people. He still argued with me and said I had to pay the 70 or find another motel. We did pay the 70 because my card was already charged for the room. I was very offended by his rude demeanor. Also I was told the room had one of those couches that turns into a bed. Turns out it was just a regular couch no pull out I paid extra for the couch...The bed was very uncomfortable very stiff.
The staff and owners were all very friendly, professional, and helpful. The kitchenette in the room was very useful and the complimentary beach tags and breakfast coupons for surrounding restaurants were very nice touches. Overall a great stay in seaside heights we will be back again. Televisions could be updated but this is a very minor issue.
Room was clean and looked freshly painted, pool was nice and only 2 blocks to beach. Bar across the street was a little loud but A/C drowned out the noise.
It was old but clean. Pool is very small. Only a couple of blocks from the boardwalk and the beach
Just needed a place to shower and sleep, it was fine for that. Good location/good price. Kind of strange room setup, bedding kind of stiff, towels felt like food service towels, shower water pressure was pretty low, a ceiling tile was super moldy?
Close to beach and boardwalk. bad water pressure, and limited hot water.
The staff were wonderful.
Close to the bars and clubs, two short blocks from the beach and bored walk, we went off season so there was not many people there but we had a blast Wish it wasn't so cold out so we can you the pool
Excellent service. Family first!!!!
It was a very nice hotel close to beach. I wanted a room facing beach and my room had view but not exactly what I wanted. The clerk on duty found a room facing the ocean and let me upgrade for the two nights. Was very pleased with the hotel staff.
Very nice hotel staff very friendly
Very accommodating staff public area a little minimal
Very nice close location to the beach that we enjoy, and since it was before prime time it was very quiet. The rooms are small and clean but the hot water took for ever to get hot. Also there is no refrigerator or mirco so if you are there foe a time its annoying.
Nice staff, walking distance to boardwalk and beaches! walking distance to shopping and dining! Very good price. Nice size room with AC, small fridge and microwave. Had a really good experience and will go back next time!
Convenient to beach. Breakfast food was OK but service was terrible! Wait staff was very inexperienced. Got served the wrong food, long wait for food. Rooms OK, towels in rooms could be better.
2 pools- right on the beach. Quick walk to jenkinsons boardwalk. The restaurant wasn't great and the server didn't seem to know the menu. The pools have constant fountains going off that get annoying.
Right on the beach with an awesome view of the ocean. Convenience all around with dining pool and boardwalk closeness Didn't stay longer.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was good. The hot tub was closed, the pool heater was broken and there was no internet. Not a spa/resort experience at all, just another seaside motel.
Location. The exterior door barely shut and did not lock. Don't plan on taking a shower! No pressure and no hot water. Old TV that barely had a picture. Beds and pillows must be decades old.
By the ocean, affordable. Pretty run down. Noisy tenants and people on the street.
Great location. The rooms were quiet even when it was very loud outside. The furniture was gross and outdated.
There was nothing to like Room 125 Manager: Keith Date of stay: August 15th 2015 Duration of stay 4 hours.... and drove back home (2 1/2hrs.) Recommendation: Never stay here. 1) I requested a non smoking room and received a room full of fumes...Cigarette smells and mildew / moldy scents 2) The ceiling had a massive crack from the main door to the opposite side of the room.... I had asked if there was water damage since the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were full of mildew and coming down. 3) Floor tiles were lose and coming up 4) This room was totally neglected, The main door to the room was rusted out... right hand conner of the door was deteriorating and seemed as if someone could kick right through 5) I asked for a pet friendly room, but I should have asked for a human friendly room.... i sure my dogs would have gotten sick if I stayed longer. 6) The Pictures online did not remotely match the hole in the wall I stood in 7) The linens were clean but the beds looked like they needed to be tossed. I was totally afraid that I would take home bed bugs or crabs! 8) If anyone fails to mentions, this location is flanking a bar/club .... yes... young loud college frat kids that will be up all night will be your neighbors 9) I have read the reviews here and I can't agree with any of the cleanliness comments.... this place should be considered a motel... the "condom" on the floor in the hall speaks for it self 10) Price: 225.00.... it should have been $60.00 per night.... 11) I was a 1 of 2 groups made up of 4 individuals...... both groups said: "HELL NO" we can't stay here.... and headed back to Brooklyn NY 12) Keith the manager, did not want to refund my card... he told me directly, that if I called Consumer's affairs, all I was trying to do was to blackmail him for a better rate.... ????????? Help me understand that....
My name and I stay in a lot of hotels while we're on the road and this is literally one of the quarter we've ever been to. We drove all day from Providence, RI for a site the next day in Asbury Park, NJ. We cost this hotel because it had 3 beds and a kitchen which is pretty rare. It was freezing outside. When we got into our room the great was completely off and unplugged (I assume to save energy) so the room was also freezing. The room actually had two heaters one of which never worked for our entire stay. The next day I went down to the office to complain that the heater was not working. The "lady" at the front desk basically called me a liar repeatedly saying that I didn't know what I was talking about. We were going to stay for another night but they were so rude that we decided to go to a different hotel. Later that day, they called us and claimed that we had stolen two of their pillows. I tried to explain that no one in my group had any reason to steal pillows but again they claimed I was lying. Then they charged $20 to my credit card to make up for these imaginary pillows. Which I believe is illegal because this charge was not authorized.
