nice location, near big shopping mall and easy access to main routes
nice bathroom renovated far from San Sebastian, not cheap for that distance
Helpfulness in suggestions on using public transport giving access to places we wanted to visit.
Parkin prize: just 6,00€ (you don´t have where to park ...) Noise from the national road and the room has too much light during night
Quiet and affordable alternative to the heart of San Sebastian
Staff not nice
This is a family run hotel and the staff are very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. There was a cheap, frequent and efficient bus service into San Sebastian from a stop 2 minutes walk away.
Staff were very helpful with information on restaurants. Though it's out of the city, it's very convenient as there are buses to city centre. Bus stop is about 40m from the hotel. We made the mistake of paying for car park in a garage. There is no need as there are free car parks behind the hotel. Room is quite dingy and dark.
Very good value for money. Easily accessable to the centre of San Sebastian by bus and by train.
Room is clean, LCD tv, helpful lady in reception. No chance to eat something for a dinner close to hotel, poor breakfast, expensive parking (9,00 €/day).
Big room and big bathroom and nice hotel. I did not like that my room was very close to the road to go to the motorway from Spain to France and, to me, is a lot of noise to sleep well. Other thing was that into the bathroom you have only gel but not shampoo to take a shower.
We only stayed one night, so hard to judge. It is a nice, older hotel close to the highway which is good if you're underway. Not too much noise coming from the highway. Only 5 km from the beach (Hundarribia); kind and helpfull staff. You can hardly go anywhere from the hotel on foot. Very oldfashioned and small playground for children available
Regrettably I cannot think of anything that I liked about our stay. Everything. We were woken throughout the night by other guests arriving - the layout of the hotel made this possible. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was diabolical.
Staff of the hotel was really nice. very kind to help you. noise from the road even so the windows isolate well.
The total cost of the stay. In Easter week there wasn't no room in any other place. The hotel was fine
Only the receptionists spoke little English and were service-minded, the rest of the staff (from the restaurant) were very unfriendly and not helpfull at all. The restaurant/snackbar does not even have an English menu. I think they don't welcome foreign travellers at all.
Excellent & very helpful staff who helped us organise with a baby. Finding the hotel is a bit of an issue. The hotel coordinates are not correct on the booking website (coordinates are for urdanibia, not the hotel). Some of the roads appear to have signs to Tryphotel but the road we arrived on didn't. There are no signs from urdanibia for "TrypHotel". Even the sign on top of the hotel just says "Hotel"!
The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast option of juice, croissant and coffee was good Appearance did not look like photo on website. One bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke. Hotel located between two busy roads. Building ugly-outside and inside. Lounge area was smoking area!
It was choosen becausr it was near the airport.
Restaurant not open for evening meal and bar menu not very extensive.
I found the hotel to be extremely comfortable and relaxing prior to my important customer meeting.
The hotel was lovely and in a great location- right in town. Free parking was a plus. I liked the feel of Hondarribia very much. I found it quaint and lively. A great place to explore. We flew to Biarritz and rented a car and spent our first night in Hondarribia - a good start to a week's trip.
the hotel took a bit of finding,it was a very pleasant stay the staff very friendly, the breakfast was very good quality . the location was good for sightseeing in the area.
location breakfast starts too late
Reception staff very helpful and pleasent
Close to Airport No non-smoking dining.
- noisy guests who spoke most of the night - staff spoke only one language
friendly staff, good location - near the board walk parking was not near the hotel
Close to shops and beach Expensive breakfast
Very friendly staff, excellent restaurant, good value for money
good location.excellent breakfast. plenty parking
The amazing reconstruction of the building - would have liked more infor about this. The noises from the rooms above could be loud sometimes
Hotel superb No sound insulation so you hear everyones doors open and close, every bath and every S...
The peacefulness of the environment and the charming quality of the town was superior. The staff was excellent and responsive to every question or need. The parking situation is not clear and it took awhile to figure that out. I had requested a non smoking room and did not get that and also requested a room with view and did not get that -- which seemed to me to make me want to make reservations directly with the hotel rather than through your service since I would have had more likelihood of either getting my request fulfilled or understand why it would not be possible.
After staying at parador toledo, hondarribia seemed a bit short on almost all points
Breakfast was quite nice. The view from the room was also very nice and there was a very nice terrace overlooking the bay. Staff was not very helpful and the rooms for the price were too simple.
Location No restaurant
An amazing place... especially when you bring an Australian with you!
Eexcellent location and great staff. The lack of air conditioning made our night a bit uncomfortable.
Beautiful common spaces. Lovely view from the terrace and mirador There was no restaurant, something we'd looked forward to from our experience at other paradors . The room was relatively small. And the bed was two twins pushed together which is awkward compared to a real queen or king size bed.
Public spaces had beautiful views, staff helpful, great location to sightsee in the Basque region of Spain and France. Excellent restaurants nearby. Rooms are not airconditioned, and while the temperature cooled at night, our room had an interior courtyard window that did not allow for a breeze. We were fortunate to get a fan from the staff.
A fantastic location in the heart of the town, with all the restaurants and tapas bars on the doorstep. Modern, clean and comfortable. The young lady on reception could not have been more helpful, with lots of advice on where to go in the town.
A beautiful hotel in a small town with a perfect position. Friendly staff and very clean. I was lucky to have a room wuth two windows. A nice cute hotel, I would recommend it.
The hotel rooms are small but clean and well kept. However, the location, next to the weekend revellers on the main street, is appalling. Noise all night which even the ac does not silence!! Over-priced for what it is - an economy hotel presenting itself as 'boutique'... see above!
good location, modern and comfortable
convenient for town and easyy parking no kettle and very expensive for a spanish hotel
Clean modern room. Right in the centre of Hondarribia. Parking very easy and well organised.
Overpriced dump that doesn't deliver what the price tag promises. WiFi wasn't working, which in 2016 just proves they didn't care enough to get a reliable connection (I needed it for work, not entertainment). Nor was it fixed during the time we were there. The "hotel parking" is blocks and blocks away, which defeats its purpose. And the maid barged into our room without even knocking, embarrassing my naked wife. Seriously? A bad experience at any price, but sbsolutely horrible for what this place charged
bad internet conection
Bright clean room in a central location beside all amenities. Helpful, friendly staff. No
Very modern, clean and comfortable room, right in the centre of the town. And the breakfast was a treat, probably the best in recent years. No, everything was fine.
Very nice rooms. Awesome shower. No alarm clock.
very friendly staff. great location the restaurant only offered a set evening meal which was expensive
The hotel staff, especially the ladies at the reception are very friendly and were genuinely helpfull with directions and recommendations. Overall the staff is what made our stay at the hotel extremely enjoyable. Hotel rooms are quite nice, big and clean. The restaurant serves excellent food. I will definitely go back.
People in front office very helpfull. The is an nice historical centre in the city. Which is of some interest. We were traveling by car from France to Bilbao. And went to San Bastian next day. This was a good stop.

The members of staff were very friendly and helpful. Because it was a public holiday (Nov 1) the restaurant was closed. We were able to order from the room service menu, but this did not offer a lot of choice.
Everything!!! An excellent hotel. Nothing!!!
Very clean, and very modern. Room was comfortable, and everyone that worked there was friendly. Great restaurant, and comfortable bar area. Difficult to find in the dark.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Smoking is allowed in the restaurant
The ambience of the hotel generally and the extremely helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. No
Excellent food, quiet location welcoming helpful staff. Nothing
Excellent service, breakfast, professional
Very helpful staff, and for me the parking suited my extreme needs.
The rooms are really nice, made with care, well designed and clean.
comfortable, clean and good service.
Staff was very friendly
the very sympathetic reception staff goes out of its way with touristic tips, route description, etc. They even called me to notify that I left my mobile charger in my room (and luckily I was still close enough to drive back). the rooms feature a lot of space, and are stylishly decorated. wonderful green environment around the hotel. the breakfast was okay, but could have been better (fresh juice would have been nice, and some more choice). staff wasn't around to help choose the right table (some are for the restaurant). watch out: it is best to have a car to get to this hotel.
we enjoy this beaitiful place and go to San Sebastian and Hondarribia Everything was super
It was a lovely peaceful and relaxing setting. The woman at reception(forgive me I forget her name) was absolutely wonderful- professional, knowledgeable, extremely accommodating, hard working and quite simply Lovely! Aside from being a little difficult to find I cannot say anything negative.
The location was excellent. A lovely remote location. Was hard to communicate to the stalf as only one member spoke fairly good english and she was only on in the morning when we checked out. The access road to the hotel was a bit rough and hard on the car. Due to a technical fault there was at the time no Wi-Fi access in the rooms.
It was very very near motorway service area -- very very noisey in the room we could hear people in the next room -- & the kitchen staff below our room--- this is not 4 star bed uncomfortable & loo not fixed to the wall -- I was going to write to separately -- We go on a lot of holidays and have used you before & this hotel was not good --Breakfast very poor
Staff was very nice and helpful, contacted us in advance to warn about the wedding celebration taking place at the same date. Very romantic, excellent restaurant and views. Location is a bit not that close to San-Sebastian as stated and not that easy to find.
Setting, views, room comfort, food, calm.
Staff friendly and helpful. The room was lovely The walls are paper thin. You can hear other guests showering, walking around their room talking etc. We didn't like being within view of a Toxic Chemical Dump
Excellent hotel, very good dinner at a very reasonable price
the hotel and its area is very beautiful, the room was very comfortable and beautifull ,the staff were very friendly and helpfull. the breakfast wasn't suitable to the price and to the level of the hotel (we were dissapointed)
Friendly hotel with exellent service No.
The hotel is lovely - a 600 year old building that has been tastefully restored. It is a wonderful alternative to the "parador" and is located inside the walled city. Fabulously located within 2 km of the airport.
Character of hotel, Large size room, Good noise insulation Limited food/drink options at hotel. No pool.
Situated in quiet square in old town near lots of restaurants. Lovely views over water into France and wooded hills beyond. Excellent variety for breakfast - eggs and bacon cooked in front of you. Free internet use. 6 parking spaces in front. Convenient night stop driving Portugal to uk. No lift, and stairs to bedrooms a bit steep. We could manage but others with sore knees/hips could find it difficult. Sitting room dowmstairs a bit gloomy with no outlook in daytime.
Unique place (old bishops's recidence). Breakfast was excellent (staff made creppes, omelettes etc. on request). Very clean, very stylish. There was a lot of noise from nearby restaurant terrace all nights.
Design - beautiful old building, great stylish interior. Location - just in the heart of old town some smell in the bathroom
Our room was very charming, quiet and comfortable, and the staff was exceptional.
Location, staff, the building/room decor, breakfasts everything was perfect.
The location in the castle; the rooms were well decorated and had good and very clean bathrooms.Staff friendly and helpful. Free parking available No English or German TV program on satelite TV ( only programs in Spanish and French) to see e.g. news international guests
Great location in castle-like building in the heart of small old town A bit hard to find but it's part of adventure - just follow the signs
The area around the hotel is not very appealing but the hotel itself was comfortable.
It's easy to find Overpriced for a motorway motel, dirty, noisy, very poor breakfast for the money and when it's busy parking be difficult.
Hotel staff and hotel easy acces. Non
Excellent staff, very willing to help Food only ok
Close to the spanish/french border and near lovely village and scenery
Easy access, good "base point", friendly staff Very Noisy
Poor parking, noisy, lousy food,
nice rooms and good staff alitle bitt expencieve and noisy because of the track drivers
Not a lot Same standard as the French budget hotels at twice the price
The room was good. Staff very helpful and the catering and food very good. Car parking seemed a bit vulnerable but perhaps as police seemed to come for refreshments it works ok.
The hotel was located in the center of the very beautiful old town. 1.Shower water was very cold! 2. Breakfast was not available until 8:30. 3. TV was located inconveniently inside the wardrobe.
The hotel is located in the old section of Hondarribia, which made it charming. The lack of elevator made getting luggage to and from the room a challenge.
The historical old town surrounding the hotel was amazing. The social scene and friendliness of the locals was wonderfull. The room (double) was cramped with no facility for making tea or coffee. The Continental Breakfast of just Bread rolls, Ham and Tea or Coffee should in my opinion include the choice of a cereal, cheese and selection of fruit. As surrounding hotels are offering this.
Ideal location, quiteness
Delightful. If we had had the time we would have stayed longer. Lovely setting. Excellent value for money No
Very enjoyable experience with easy access to san sebastian & hendaye . bus service excellent.
The friendliness of staff and its location. I thought the breakfast a little sparse.
Wonderful and interesting location, great rooms and the total uniqueness of the hotel Parking is difficult due to old town location.
I did not like that all bedrooms were "smoking" in this day and age. In bad weather there is no comfortable lounge
The location was beautiful. The lack of free parking, and the climb from the town. Being asthmatic found it very difficult.
nice big room No lift. Staff not very friendly
Easy check-in, big comfortable rooms, very good breakfast and very child friendly. Excellent value for money. Helpful staff.
Nice out in the countryside. Fresh air.
Rooms clean and comfortable, although bolsters very firm and no alternative pillows. Bathroom facilities very good. Located close to unappealing town and little of interest in very close proximity. Very basic breakfast and Restaurant closed on Sunday evening.
We looked for a transit hotel close to the Spanish border Very thin walls !
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The directions to the hotel were hard to follow. The name of the street in my garmin gps shows as olakineta not Oilakineta
Friendly owner, gave us a real welcome. Same as others - location. This place will appeal to explorers. It took us over 2 hours to find it, even with sat nav and a map from the local police, and we eventually found on the edge of an industrial estate on a narrow road near a roundabout, nowhere near Irun town centre. The road is Oilakineta, but our sat nav didn't recognise it and our Acer sat nat knew this as Olakineta.
Excellent breakfast. Car parking was great. Such a relief that you can park the car somewhere safe. Not a good start as we thought we could enter reception when we arrived after a very long journey from central France and were impolitely waved away. However the staff more than made up for this during our two night stop.
Our stay was a welcome break in a long journey. Very welcoming and comfortable. The only tiny thing was - no shower cap - everything else was A1
perfect for a short stopover
Loved the chalet type very swedish and nice area It was not very easy to find
Very willing staff nothing was to much trouble.Breakfast good value and plenty of it.Facilities good. Directions were to vague. The Casa was up a small road behind commercial premises. No road name. Best guide is to locate the Ibis hotel . Its off the roundabout at the other side. There is on small sign in the sideroad. It took us almost an hour to find it. Sat nav went bonkers.
Great little hotel.
secure location english speaking and quite. room was ok for two adults did not eat there so can not comment. the beds had seen better days
