Staffs efforts in assisting with issues and needs. The option for a breakfast bit in the morning. Parking lot, curb, walking paths cracked, uneven, wet, trash. Room not completely cleaned, maintained. Bathroom issues (Door falling from hinges, faucet to shower valve not working, tub not completely cleaned), room phone not functioning, bed too close to the wall AC unit. Pool access seemed unmanaged. Capacity was met with kids alone with limited supervision by adults. Too dangerous for us to even be in the area of the pool.
The staff were wonderful Fridge door was being held up by a coat hanger and didn't work,, carpets were very dirty and sticky
Hotel itself was in poor condition, bugs everywhere, my sheets were wet.
check in process was good, the guy in the front desk was nice and didn't have any problems over all .. next morning even invited us to go have breakfast which was nice .. i would definitely stay here again.
prompt attention to correcting door handle problem
The hotel location (near the Mercado in Downtown San Antonio) and the reasonable room rates were good features. Houskeeping service knocked while we were still in room (10:00am), but did not return to make up room. Not discovered until we returned to room at 10:00pm.
Well that the WiFi was not free. That was the only bad thing about it
Free parking, huge beds and TV, not far from the center, cheap price. Bathroom very clean and discretion. Dust outside of one room, in the common hallway.
Everything that I did was near by.
Overall the motel is excellent! My kids wasn't able to use their laptop no router working.
The staff was nice and the price was good for booking a day before. I like that it is close to market square so you can walk over. The river walk is about 8 blocks away with we walked also. This save us money on parking. The hotel is not clean. They need a better cleaning staff. Mold in restroom. Towels with hair. Bed was clean thankfully. Floor is dirty. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night but fine in the day . I would advise you to get a room toward the north side....rooms 120 to 140. It seem about to be safer.
Very clean, excellent location..friendly staff...
We enjoyed the location. We could walk to a trolley stop and go most places on the trolley. There was no carpeting.
yes, there was no radio or alarm clock. no shampoo or cond. no amendities at all.
It was clean and the position of furniture was good. (The table underneath tv) The bathroom was small and the beds were okay in terms of size
Not much Location was hard to get to. No free wifi. No smoking room smelled like smoke. There was an a clean ashtray in the room. Why would there be an ashtray in the room if it is a non-smoking room?? Almost missed the entrance due to a lot of bushes and trees. Entrance not well lit. Since this is on one-way highway frontage road, missing the entrance would cause one to drive a half mile past the motel, go across the highway then a mile back and then another half mile to the motel again. There is a back entrance on the road behind it but the gate was locked closed (I'm sure for security reasons). A small lit entrance sign at the driveway would help.
No hot water had several cold showers moved out went to Priceline and got a 3 star for almost what I paid for this place.
About the only thing we liked about our stat was the price. Room was full of crickets, was suppose to be a king suite, was two double beds even after we requested to change rooms because of the crickets. Didn't get fresh towels everyday, ice machine didn't work. Will never stay at this hotel again.
Nothing Rooms were super dirty.. Blood was on the bathroom door not happy at all
Absolutly nothing The "hot breakfast" was nothing more then cereal with warm milk...the waffle mix was like water, and they stuck to the griddle. And there was no coffee what so ever. There was what looked like dog vomit on the carpet...the staff were rude
The desk clerk was friendly and accommodating The beds were too hard it took nearly all day for the room to cool down there was black mold on the bathroom ceiling
It is a realy nice and simple hotel. No
nothing everything about this hotel was horrible. From the door not closeing all the way, missing cabinents in the kitchen, stained sheets and towels, and painted tub that was missing most of the paint, lack of remote. From top to bottom this hotel was disgusting.
The pool and hot tub I did't like the mole inside the air condition and the water likeage from the air condition.
bad location, going in abd out of the parking area.
The location was pretty good for where I needed to be and the size of the room was good for the price. The building was old and there were signs of wear and tear throughout the room and general facilities. The breakfast area was undersized (at least when I showed up for breakfast) so a lot of people needed to stand and eat or spill over to other parts of the lobby.
Beds were comfortable. Fairly quiet. Easy access to interstate and close to stores. Some of the hotel staff were not very friendly. Seemed put out when we needed assistance. Paint peeling in bath tub and tape holding together faucet in kitchen and shower curtain rod. Cleaning was poor and they left any toilet paper. We had to go buy a trash can, there weren't any supplied in room. Iron didn't work in room. The rooms were small. Breakfast was terrible and very little to choose from. Coffee maker and waffle iron didn't work. Thought we would pay for rooms at end of stay, but credit card was charged daily.
Absolutely nothing. The room was dirty. There were holes in the comforter. The bathtub was extremely filthy. The cancellation fee for such a horrible service cost more than the room itself. I'm extremely unlikely to recommend this hotel. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
I booked this hotel for an Anniversary weekend getaway with my husband. We were on a budget, as it was our only getaway without the kids this year. If you're looking for a decent place to sleep that's safe and clean, THIS is it! I paid $80 for 2 nights!! Well worth it! No its not a luxury hotel, but I've paid double and triple this price for a room and gotten the same quality. The location was easy access to restaurants, 6 flags, and a 15min drive to the Riverwalk/Alamo. My only advice: do not follow your GPS to the hotel. There is interstate construction and the exit is closed. Take the Dezavala exit and get on the Frontage road, hotel is about 2miles up.
price room was good back door area
Leaving As soon as you walked in was greeted by a gang member tattooed all over his face and arms. Front desk clerk was nice. First floor smelled like fresh marijuana. Second floor smelled like mold, hotel room smelled like concentrated mold. Floors were dirty. Never took off my socks. Rented room for two days but left after first day. Asked both kayak and hotel clerk for one day refund but was denied. Didn't mind though losing the money, just wanted to leave. Grade: F
Nothing!!! You could smell drugs as you walked by rooms and guys would sit in the hall just staring at you. We had a child with us and I didn't feel safe at all!
Price Included breakfast and Internet Microwave / Fridge Friendly staff No printer in business center. Needs new carpet. Road construction in the area meant long traffic times
The attitude of the morning manager. He was so rude. AND they tried to charge me 60.00 dollars for a nob that fell off in the restroom.
The location is great and the staff were very helpful! The beds are too hard. The carpets didn't look clean and there was a tiny Roach crawling on the cups by the sink!
I liked how the rooms were clean and comfy All the traffic and location
Easy access to I-10. Close to Fiesta Texas and UTSA. That's were are business was. Hallway carpets ate dirty.
We liked nothing we only stayed 10mim then checked out and left This ended up being a drug hotel where they were literally doing drug deals in the lobby even had them ask my wife if we needed anything. Rooms are filthy and dirty big stain all over mattress. Hotel refused to refund us but we left after 10 min and went down the road to sleep in suites!! Do not stay at this hotel it is a open air drug market!!
Just a clean cheap motel, perfect for coming and going on a quick trip if you don't need to be in a room a lot It seemed some people lived in the motel long term and were somewhat sketchy but no one but no one bothered us
Location Carpet threadbare, spring in bed poked through the mattress cover into my husband and another had been covered with duct tape, 1 washcloth for 2 people, ice machine down, dingy and dirty, seems like the door been kicked ìn-night lock coming out of the wall, and roaches.
I have never been to a hotel where the people were so nice and helpful before. I couldn't figure out the tv and the manager came to my room and helped me out. The room is super cute, clean, upgraded and comfortable!
The hotel was a great value. It is in a older neighborhood but that doesn't mean it's a "bad" area. It's right by schools and the Airforce base. Lots of military staying here which got rid of any uneasiness I had. Very clean, I like the tile floors better than carpet that's usually in a motel. No pool but that wasn't an issue since we swam all day at Aquatica in SeaWorld. Beds were very comfortable. And the staff was awesome! We had a couple problems that weren't their issue at all but they helped us out anyways. Aldo were very helpful in telling us where everything from Walgreens, to the bank, to restaurants were and gave me maps and info for the Alamo!
I like that I could cancelled my reservation, the manager there accept to cancel with no charge. The place was scary, dark, and the rooms are the worst, I had ask for a non smoking and it stinks, the beds look like someone was sitting down on them, and the restrooms was the scariest thing ever, there was a a huge black circle of I don't know what on the tub, gross. When I got there, I ask to see the room and can't believe that she gave me that room to see, the worst, so I cancelled it.
Nothing Stay away
the room stank of cigarette smoke, the bathroom door was kicked , in general the whole room was frightening
Shower head was pretty weak.
It was very quiet The bathroom, sink and initial towels....the sink didn't drain properly, the towels had hair and spots on them. The bathroom was extremely small
Good value for the money. Staff was helpful and room was clean.
The location was very questionable, there were many homeless men outside the hotel fence. The blinds in the room did not cover all the way, so you could see inside the room. When I booked the reservation online I was charged around $75, and on the receipt I signed, the total stay was around $58, but $75 was already charged to my account.
It's ran down, it's not called Super 8 anymore, our reservation wasn't found (thankfully Kyak sent a receipt showing we payed for it), the room wasn't cleaned, the bathroom hadn't been clean, had 2 towels (the rest were dirty), someone else left their room keys in the room for a different room, the room phone didn't work, there were a bunch of homeless hanging around, some doors had kicked in marks, you can tell people were using the place as a hangout spot. It was a terrible experience, and being someone who is from a rundown spot in San Antonio, I would NOT choose this hotel again.
The location was good for access to downtown/riverwalk and freway access the sink in the batroom area did not drain well & there was a problem with the amount of money charged to my debit card & I had to make a couple of phone calls to get it straight.
Do not stay here!! As soon as we checked in the heater didn't work, there was a lady buying drugs and there were bugs in the room. My partner got bit by one of them. We told the front desk there was a kid working apparently no manager was there we called the agency we booked it with to cancel. We seriously got our stuff and left didn't bother staying. The lot was vacant only 1 couple had checked in and you could tell they were on drugs or something. Your better off paying 90+to stay at a better hotel.
GREAT LOCATION!!!. FIVE MINUTE DRIVE TOPS TO RIVERWALK AND OTHER ACTIVITIES. 20/25 MINUTES FROM SEAWORLD. ITS NOT LUXURY BUT IT WAS CLEAN, SAFE AND I GIVE THE STAFF A TEN.
The location was great, was near so many attractions!! One room smelled like smoke, and account was not cooling the room.
i liked the location because if wanted to walk i could walk to the placese that we needed also easy acess to the freeways. the freeway was to close
Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful Need more cleaning as a whole, it is in downtown. The good price has a reason
The only good point is that they are willing to refund me one days stay. Do yourself and your family a favor and look else where. I got bitten by insects, don't even know what kind. The air conditioner was broken and the room was dreadful. I came home a day early just so I didn't have to stay in that hotel.
It is centrally located to major highways. Things are falling apart in the room; all is outdated; breakfast was not adequate.
I like the costumer service The bed has hair and the carpet Was durty
did not like the stay at your hotel your place was horrible the food was horrible the service was horrible
No remote in the room, no trash can in the room and 1-ply toilet paper. Towels were small and low quality, but the room was inexpensive, so you get what you pay for.
I liked that fact that after having a small problem with our first room they quickly resolved our problem and moved us into another room. The first room we were assigned to the air-conditioning didn't work properly it wasn't cooling much.
It was close to the riverwalk Location was surrounded by homeless people, cockroaches in room, noisy morning due to being remodeled and rooms didn't appear ready to be used. The lamp in our room didn't work.
Nonne Car aren't secure you have to be a awakening every other hours
Needs to be cleaner and better maintenance of the rooms
Maybe location would be the only saving grace Rooms stunk , mold in the shower ,no bath soap or shampoo, disgusting dirty bed sheets and pillows.
The girls at the front desk were phenomenal with their customer service. I was not a happy patron and they did all they could to assuage me. I paid for the Premium WiFi. Getting into it was a challenge. The signal was week and slow, and every 3-5 minutes it would go down and I had to sign in again every time. I finally gave up after a couple of trips to the office to complain about this. The bed was hard and it only had a sheet that tried to pass for a blanket. Not only was the tv reception terrible, but the channel selection was as well. The room was like staying in a 3rd world country hostel. Doesn't matter, management wont read this or do anything about it, but you asked to be rated.
Price was $8 higher than originally featured at the time the reservation was made trough Priceline.
The area that it was at in relation to where I needed to go to-and-from was convenient. I wish that this hotel had continental breakfast, but that's not that big of a deal-breaker, just something that would make the stay perfect.
Close to my destination The plus were defective and throwing sparks. The refrigerator was leaking badly
Location It was worn and dingy. Appeared run down and needing update. Bed was very small and linens were cheap.
