Inner West Side
Very affordable. Riverwalk driving distance is about 6 minutes. Clean room with a microwave and refrigerator . Noisy from the cars on the highway. Hearing neighbors having sex.
They asked deposits for remote and key. I am sure they change or cancel wifi password after you asked.
shower head in 143 needs to be replaced, water shot everywhere.
The location was perfect, as we were there for my daughters BMT graduation. There is Dennys in the parking lot so that was convenient. My husband checked in two days before me and our family. I went to the office to request a key since my husband was not there at that time. The owner was discussing a billing problem with another customer. Another staff member was standing there with her arms crossed and not acknowledging me or other customers in the room. Finally I asked if I could get a key quickly so I could take the family to the room. She asked for the room number, rolled her eyes at me, and made the key. No ID, NOTHING! So BEWARE if you are traveling alone. Anyone could get a key to your room and gain access to your belongings, or worse. I spilled some water on the linoleum floor and used a washcloth to dry it, and the washcloth was black with a clean streak left on the floor. The fridge in the room was filthy. The phone did not work so I had to track down the phone number to the hotel on my cell to call the office to get more towels (they knew we had three people registered to the room but gave us 1 towel). Then after making me a key, that canceled access to my husbands key since they replaced the key rather than duplicating the key. Really a mess for what I paid. I was not expecting much for this price, but I have stayed in better campgrounds than this.
check in process was good, the guy in the front desk was nice and didn't have any problems over all .. next morning even invited us to go have breakfast which was nice .. i would definitely stay here again.
The staff were wonderful Fridge door was being held up by a coat hanger and didn't work,, carpets were very dirty and sticky
Everything that I did was near by.
The staff was nice and the price was good for booking a day before. I like that it is close to market square so you can walk over. The river walk is about 8 blocks away with we walked also. This save us money on parking. The hotel is not clean. They need a better cleaning staff. Mold in restroom. Towels with hair. Bed was clean thankfully. Floor is dirty. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night but fine in the day . I would advise you to get a room toward the north side....rooms 120 to 140. It seem about to be safer.
Good location, great rates, cool room. Could use another ice machine for the outer buildings.
Nothing. It was dirty. Unkept Hair on the bed. Countertop dirty Foul smell of smoke and alcohol Housekeeper whoever that was only came in after I left to exchange the towels. No dishes no iron Refrigerator barely worked. Dark not well lit. Looked like a homeless persons abandoned building. I would've been more comfortable sleeping in a garage
It was clean and the position of furniture was good. (The table underneath tv) The bathroom was small and the beds were okay in terms of size
Not much Location was hard to get to. No free wifi. No smoking room smelled like smoke. There was an a clean ashtray in the room. Why would there be an ashtray in the room if it is a non-smoking room?? Almost missed the entrance due to a lot of bushes and trees. Entrance not well lit. Since this is on one-way highway frontage road, missing the entrance would cause one to drive a half mile past the motel, go across the highway then a mile back and then another half mile to the motel again. There is a back entrance on the road behind it but the gate was locked closed (I'm sure for security reasons). A small lit entrance sign at the driveway would help.
I booked this hotel for an Anniversary weekend getaway with my husband. We were on a budget, as it was our only getaway without the kids this year. If you're looking for a decent place to sleep that's safe and clean, THIS is it! I paid $80 for 2 nights!! Well worth it! No its not a luxury hotel, but I've paid double and triple this price for a room and gotten the same quality. The location was easy access to restaurants, 6 flags, and a 15min drive to the Riverwalk/Alamo. My only advice: do not follow your GPS to the hotel. There is interstate construction and the exit is closed. Take the Dezavala exit and get on the Frontage road, hotel is about 2miles up.
Nothing!!! You could smell drugs as you walked by rooms and guys would sit in the hall just staring at you. We had a child with us and I didn't feel safe at all!
Good value for the money. Staff was helpful and room was clean.
Location Employees. Price. Hotel rooms.
GREAT LOCATION!!!. FIVE MINUTE DRIVE TOPS TO RIVERWALK AND OTHER ACTIVITIES. 20/25 MINUTES FROM SEAWORLD. ITS NOT LUXURY BUT IT WAS CLEAN, SAFE AND I GIVE THE STAFF A TEN.
It's ran down, it's not called Super 8 anymore, our reservation wasn't found (thankfully Kyak sent a receipt showing we payed for it), the room wasn't cleaned, the bathroom hadn't been clean, had 2 towels (the rest were dirty), someone else left their room keys in the room for a different room, the room phone didn't work, there were a bunch of homeless hanging around, some doors had kicked in marks, you can tell people were using the place as a hangout spot. It was a terrible experience, and being someone who is from a rundown spot in San Antonio, I would NOT choose this hotel again.
