Overview Reviews
Located in Blackpool (South Shore), Aparthotel Blackpool is a 4-minute walk from Ripley's Believe It Or Not! and 5 minutes by foot from Blackpool Illuminations. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff made us very welcome. Good breakfast. Great location
Cons: Stairs to our apartment as i have a bad hip. Shower quite small.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was outstanding. Great choice and the quality was very good indeed. The apartment living room/kitchen was nice and if I was staying with family for a few days I'd definitely choose somewhere like here. The location was good if you like the Pleasure Beach and Waterpark - you couldn't get much nearer. Plus it's very close to a big Wetherspoons which, in Blackpool terms, bestrides the other local eating options like a culinary Colossus.
Cons: You must read the detail about the parking. There is none available at all on the street as it's permit only. As I arrived during the day in August, the car park opposite was full. The owner was kind enough to move his car from an adjacent street so I could park there but this might obviously not be an option. The shower was really small. Manageable for a short stay. Not manageable if you're one of the many larger people I saw strolling around Blackpool (I'm not, fortunately).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome, comfy room and awesome breakfast. The location was awesome, right near Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the South Promenade, restaurants and tram. Jo helped us a lot to get parking which is not easy in Blackpool.
7.9 Good
Pros: Plenty of different choices for breakfast. The owner helped us with luggage to the second floor. Very nice owners and helpful
Cons: Everything OK felt comfortable during our stay. Needs an ash tray outside for smokers.

Cons: Their was nothing not to like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was absolutely fabulous. The owners were lovely and could not do any more for you. Room was spotless and great value for the price. Definitely would recommend this to anyone.
Cons: Nothing to not like
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was good - right on the sea front and near the pleasure beach. The whole hotel was spacious and the check in process felt very welcoming. It didn't go unnoticed that when my partner asked to not have mushrooms with her breakfast, the owner gave her an extra piece of bacon, without us needing to ask, and without feeling the need to point it out. It's the little things
Cons: We were in the downstairs annex room, which didn't have the advertised aparthotel facilities of self catering or a seating area, however we were informed of this in advance after booking, so no harm no foul.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners where friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Cons: That we had to go home! :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What can I say it was the first time to Blackpool for both me and my girlfriend. The owners were absolutely fantastic, from the moment we arrived till the moment we left they couldnt be anymore helpful. they even moved there car so we could park just outside for the duration of our stay. This was my first stay in a B&B and if there all like this one it won't be the last. Missed one breakfast as i was a little tired from the drive from Scotland. But the next morning I was up and boy it was fantastic my advice don't miss it!! The weather wasn't the best but we were just there to relax anyway so wasn't bothered although not sure how long It will be to remove all the sand from everywhere in the car
Cons: Absolutely nothing to write in this box at all, apart from this.

Pros: I am coeliac and a gluten free breakfast was provided without any fuss. It was huge..!! and very tasty. I felt reassured that the person cooking the food had a good knowledge of what gluten free actually meant so I could really enjoy the food.
Cons: HAVING TO COME HOME...….! I liked everything about it, and came home feeling like I had a rest, instead of feeling exhausted which sometimes happens if you stay right in the middle of Blackpool.

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Owner was rude, not hot water, shower was not safe, room was dirty, room door would not lock or unlock, front door lock to hotel was broken. When complaining to the owner was told to go back to my room .
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was clean and of a good standard.
Cons: The staff member was rather rude to me and we just didn't get on at all. Her conduct was very poor and she should probably consider a new field of work if she cannot speak to customers n a respectable fashion. She appeared to want to argue with me at any and all opportunities. The stay here was like walking on eggshells.
7.5 Good
Pros: our room was very very clean nice decor and very comfortable with a sea front location
Cons: for some reason the bar and restaurant were closed so there was no food or drink available on site for breakfast etc,a simple explanation would have been appreciated (was it long term or renovation or whatever?)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfy we stayed in the qaudruple family suite and the kids had bunk beds and they were comfy. The rooms were spacious and very homely. It was a nice hotel. Nice and quiet aswell on a night so had a good nights sleep. Doesn’t look great from outside but what you’d expect for seaside town Blackpool. Definitely recommend.
Cons: There was nothing we was unhappy with.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room great location.
Cons: Unfortunately the bar and dining areas weren't open to the public due to unforeseen out of control of the owner.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great Location. Clean room.
Cons: Not as advertised. Bar closed. No breakfast. No WiFi. The couple that own it as advertised clearly are no longer there. Restaurant adjoined closed. Bit of a strange set up. But the lady who dealt with us was lovely and felt a bit sorry for her as it seemed to just be her there. As said the room and en suite were spotless and bed very comfy which I guess is all that matters. Location fab too as tram stop across the road and very quiet at night so great sleep. Also parking available on the hotel forecourt. would have been good to have breakfast or at least been advertised on here that the bar is shut.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean , nice rooms, great location. Nice sized family rooms , fit for purpose. Description states parking available, facilities states no parking. Reality: Parking is available.
Cons: Confusion on booking.com Lot of reviews are from the time of a previous proprietor. Description talks of well stocked bar. Reality is bar is not open. There is no WiFi or no breakfast option, (Photos are misleading) while the hotel doesn’t make these claims as a business it would be easy and smart to do so.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Taken cash payment and money out of my bank and they won’t pay me back - I booked for someone who works for me which I do quite often via booking.com and they said it was booked in 2 names, I have been to the property 3 times and they are refusing to give me my money back I’m disgusted
6.7 Good
Pros: Friendly Staff, good location
Cons: nothing bad to report
7.7 Good
Pros: breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Its very good prices and its perfect location to Pleasure Beach Resort
6.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly, good location and nice breakfast choice
Cons: Breakfast from 9.00 to 9.30 is a bit late for a family stay as up much earlier and had to hang around.
7.7 Good
Pros: The hotel was out the way of the hurley burley noise of shopping/nightlife so after our evening out we were guaranteed a good night sleep. The Bed was really comfy and I think l had the best night sleep in ages. Shower was hot and makes a change as in some hotels you only get luke warm. Breakfast was more than enough as I was full up until mid afternoon. Well worth the money in my eyes. It is a taxi ride from the train station though but thats not important as there is trams, taxis etc to take you back up towards centre and taxi we booked was here within 2 mins.
Cons: Everything was fine

Pros: The staff were very hospitable and attentive, I was treated more as a friend than as a tourist. My room, albeit rather small, was comfortable and had all the amenities needed. The hotel is situated within a short walking distance from the Blackpool North Station and from the beach, which is a great advantage too. The food was excellent and I loved the idea of low-fat option of the complimentary English breakfast that I was offered. I definitely recommend The Dragonfly! :-)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, bright and well maintained rooms. Comfy beds, lots of wardrobe space and a large bathroom. Nice well stocked bar area and the adjoining dining room overlooks the football pitch. A little extra bonus is the small outdoor terrace that overlooks the whole stadium. Good buffet breakfast with lots of choice. A walk of approximately 6 to 8 minutes brings you onto the promenade between South and Central piers. The nearest tram stop would be St Chads. This hotel is now on my list of favourites and I will definitely stay here again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Parking a little tricky at times but really enjoyed our stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice big room. Well appointed.
Cons: Bit of a walk to Blackpool Tower.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room clean and functional. Staff pleasant and helpful. Restaurant and breakfast very good. Location not too far from front.
Cons: The windows in the room didn't open to prevent access to the football ground. Understandble, but fresh air is also a bonus. Access to the hotel required buzzing in every time, a minor inconvenience but a pin code entry or use of hotel room key would be helpful. Everything else was very good. Room clean and functional. Staff pleasant and helpful. Restaurant and breakfast very good.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, but a bit of a hike to the attractions. Very dog friendly
Cons: Paid additional fee for a late check out as I had several business calls to make and wanted peace and quiet. Left the 'do not disturb' sign on the door handle and got down to work. However housekeeping knocked on the door not once but twice to gain access to clean. I informed them that I had paid extra and was entitled to stay until 1pm. They were both apologetic. Raised the issue on check out and asked why there was no communication between housekeeping and front desk? Asked for the additional fee for a late check out to be refunded and this was agreed with more apologies. Aplogy accepted but they need to communicate better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: it was a lovely stay. bed was comfy.
Cons: when we checked out the reception staff told us they had us down as a no show, when i thought about it, it is very concerning as if there was a fire etc. there would have been no record of my family staying the night. Everything was perfect with the hotel. Thank you
