Pros: The property is in a stunning location, beautifully appointed, with every detail considered and provided. It was spotless, with fresh flowers on the table, fresh milk in the fridge, together with chilled water - as it was a hot day. The breakfast was amazing, more than plenty for two and very varied with fresh bread and croissants, granola pots and fresh fruit. Of course tea and coffee were included. The patio provides amazing views across fields to Arundel Castle. Little touches like solar lights make it extra romantic. The bed was super comfortable, providing a great night’s sleep. Pros: Fabulous location in a truly rural spot with super views over the fields to Arundle Castle. The accommodation was an ideal place to escape for peace and quiet and be really at home. fab village in within a few mins (at the end of the lane) which was superb and great food with friendly staff.
Cons: We enjoyed the concept of a 'picnic hamper' style breakfast being delivered and very much enjoyed too. Never 'cooked boiled eggs in a microwave' which isn't my favourite method to cook.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming host, extraordinarily beautiful location, nice breakfast, comfortable bed and excellent shower. Close to Arundel and a very good gastropub. Very private and secluded.
7.5 Good
Pros: The amazing view and the lovely location are the main sellers of The Cow Hide. It‘s easy to find, comfortable and the host is nice and attentive. There‘s a very nice pub with a beautiful new playground within walking distance.
Cons: For what it‘s worth, it‘s more of a self-contained apartment than a proper B&B. Breakfast is brought to you in a basket and you do your own dishes and prepare your own coffee. It‘s all good but a bit on the expensive side all things considered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it

Pros: The castle is situated in the picturesque village of Amberley and is impressive, with peaceful grounds to wander round in. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, fresh, bright, with comfortable chairs, and facilities available as well as room service. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Sadly for me the bed was too soft - I have a tendency to back ache and need a fairly firm mattress. Alas I had to resort to sleeping on the floor - just as well I had an air bed with me as I was also doing some camping. Trying to sleep was also not helped by the fact that having gone to bed for about 10pm, somebody was vacuuming until 11.15pm - I know that because I made a note of it when it eventually went quiet. Not great when you've paid top notch.

Pros: Although the site is beautiful and the welcome was lovely, I did not stay as the room was so disappointing compared with expectations. The twin room could work for children.
Cons: The twin bedded room was very basic. The bed was in front of the wardrobes making them unusable. There was no dressing table area, and no way to watch TV from any point in the room other than standing. There is also an adjoining door to another room, which may be helpful.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent, good choice of everything. The dining room was lovely overlooking the seafront. The Owner was friendly and flexible when we asked to linger over breakfast a bit longer
Cons: The King bed was two singles fixed together but the dip in the middle was deep! The bathroom light kept cutting out

Pros: Nice and peaceful a place to unwind. Beauty treatments prefect.
Cons: Dated, in need of a make over.
6.7 Good
Pros: We arrived late after phoning ahead, and we were able to avail of the bar services after a tiring day. The room was clean and plenty of hanging space for overnight stay, charging point and web access available. Full breakfast was excellent, Service quick and cheerful,
Cons: The mattress on the bed was excellent, but locked into a deep frame that made getting into bed uncomfortable. French 'empire' furniture takes up too much room! Duvet was too heavy and we ended removing it and sleeping under the cover only. That was OK but if it had been colder - not possible, and the admin seemed to close down after we retired.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Quirky, interesting buildings but not well kept
Cons: The whole place needs a good clean. The spa had towels all over the place. Dirty cups everywhere. Carpets needed a deep clean. Sofas covers in food crumbs. The shower stopped working in our room half way through a shower and the service was slow and forgetful. Overall absolutely not worth the money.
