Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly.
Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, great location. Good breakfast. Loved pool and hottub. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in.
I loved the breakfast and the bed I had a service dog but because she was emotional support she wasnt considered a service dog. That really upset me
Great service, receptive. Hottub in Garden was great- very clean and sell kept. Good location, easy to find. No complaints
Appeared to be clean, adequate, et cetera. Big, many rooms - a hotel as opposed to all the motels in Eureka. But as with so many places, only affordable if you're well off or they have a special low price.
It was a great price, and the hotel staff was very friendly. The amenities were very nice as well.
The staff Everything but the staff.
The bed was insanely comfortable and the night audit that greeted me was very nice and very accommodating. I've been in hospitality for 6 years and she was a perfect example of how people should be treated.
The Gingerbread Mansion is a wonderful hotel and is perfect for a weekend getaway. The mansion is beautifully decorated and they leave the unoccupied guest rooms open so you can explore. The food was delicious and there is a great little happy hour with wine and snacks each day. I highly recommend!
Unexpected $100 room deposit!
It was very different. Ants in the room. Weird old drapes.
Guy at the check-in was very friendly and polite. Hotel has character. Continental breakfast provided. Wifi doesn't seem to reach other than in the lobby. Not luxurious but clean
Once I got over the fact that the facility was in fact an older place from a time of different esthetics, and also as a result I started to appreciate the quaint character. As it is older, it was harder to get my gear to my room-the parking is really weird. The bathroom is smaller and the older nature of the place made it less convenient than more modern hotels
Friendly staff. Felt like we were stepping back to an earlier time.
Cool historic hotel in a great location at a great price
Older building that is very interesting & its history is well preserved & displayed. Great location close to downtown and suprisingly quite. Breakfast
This place is a historic building that was built in the 20s. It is styled from that area and has that authentic old times look. They have a resturant and a bar on the first floor. It was 100 dollars for my room and it was beautiful. Definitely worth the price for the beauty and history.
Easy access, very friendly and helpful staff. the dead bolt on the door didn't latch. no hangers in the closet.
Wonderful room, hotel is close to everything yet set back from the street behind a house on a private road two queen beds of different softness. Had a few ants show up on the second day, nothing big
Employees were very friendly. The room was quiet, big, had a comfy bed. Front and back doors with a patio on the back. back patio wasnt private and you can't smoke on it, you have to walk down to an approved smoking area, not far away but inconvenient in the cold, middle of the night.
The room was quiet even with a completely full hotel. The location is just OK. The view of the bay is not particularly pretty with commercial properties and a tank farm prominent.
Ocation Room needs micro wave TV needs HD Shower door very clean, but installed inside out...
The beautiful rooms and the friendly staff The view was disappointing because of rundown municipal/industrial facilities in the estuary as viewed from our room.
It was easy to find. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was nice and very clean. Road noise was really loud.
Room was very clean and spacious. Had a wonderful view. When I booked it, I thought it was more downtown. But the location is fine, close to mall shopping.
Nothing other than location which was noisey No A/C - Staff recommended bracing entry door and patio door open for ventilation but patio was 75 feet directly above Hiway 101 and SUPER NOISEY. NO BREAKFAST This hotel is playing on the similar name of another very good hotel with a similar
Sun coming in the window in the afternoon. The lighting in the rooms was awful, you were asked to flush a certain way and pull the curtains a certain way. No breakfast at all. Mostly I didn't like the layout and the darkness of the room or the horrible lighting in the ceiling.
The rooms were large and very clean. The staff was phenominal.
They've updated certain aspects of the room: TV, bed, and dresser. The room itself was clean but the smell bothered me and the bathroom was small. Very outdated motel. Smelled like stale cigarettes and damp carpet.
It's right where everything is downtown you could walk to a lot of places and it's easy to get in and out of and plenty of room to park they even have a limo that takes you to dinner for free at night!!!! The were very clean and very accommodating!!!! The stuff was also very nice! The hot tub and fire places in the oasis was just like what it says, an oasis!!!! It made the best of our vacation!!!! Also the restaurant onsite is delicious!!!!
Jesse greeted us upon arrival and displayed AMAZING customer service. Everything else was also satisfying, Thank you!! =]
Checked in at 4pm to find out that they had a limo service that took us out to eat. Driver suggested a wonderful restaurant called 511. We will be back. Beds were extremely comfortable
Great ammenities! Nice, heated pool, 2 hot tubs, pool table, small gym, continental breakfast and heated lamps outside. Refrigerator & microwave inside. Worth the extra cost when compared to what's by. Continental breakfast was small & crowded, but hey.
I never really pay attention to hotel staff when I'm checking in at 1am and leaving in the morning. It doesn't seem that important. I just want to sleep. In this case, however, on multiple occasions, I noticed some very nice people working at the hotel. The lady in the eating area was extremely kind and attentive. The desk guy - I don't know what you call him, but in the morning, the man working the check-out, when asked by my husband where the zoo was, took out a map, showed him the way, and then gave him the map. He really took time to help us out. Also, I slept well, and I have a nasty bad back. So, that means the beds were tolerable. I was exhausted, but if the bed was bad, I would have woken up from the pain through the night. That didn't happen, so I'm going to say the beds were good. The breakfast - well, really - the eggs in the morning. I do not like powdered eggs, and while I realize its a convenience for you, they are truly disgusting things to feed your guests.
The Desk Clerk was extremely helpful providing guidance on our travel routes. We were on a road trip from Seattle to San Diego along the Pacific Coast during an extended rainy spell. Lots of road closures due to mudslides. She got online to check our route for us and gave us alternates to continue our trip. She was a fantastic help and very pleasant as well.
The place is new and I would expect it to be clean and well maintained, and it was. Staff was freindly and the breakfast had a nice selection. Beds were comfortable. Parking spaces are narrow. For the two days I was there two landscape trucks with trailers took up 12 of the parking spaces.
Easy excess to highway.... Don't like carpet on the floor.
Clean room. Beds quite comfortable. Friendly, professional staff. Hair dryer didn't work. 9v battery backup in clock radio was dead - had to reset clock after unplugging to move it.
Great hotel, clean, quiet, super comfortable, near everything, I just had an opperation and stayed here 3 nights after, was better than I could have hoped! Great value for money! And so many pillows!! Staff super helpful and nice, definitely will stay again!!
The staff was very friendly, no complaints!
Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast underwhelming. Thought we would have hot tub. No pool, no hot tub.
Location, cleaning, friendly staff, breakfast. N/A
The staff was pleasant but I kept needing to ask for many things such as: sugar free powder, do not disturb sign key needed replacing everyday At first glance everything looked clean but it was not. They put a large decorative dirty pillow on top of the pillows your face will go on and the comforter sits on top of the clean sheets so you feel as if the sheets that are supposed to be clean have just been dirtied. Its all the small details that make a hotel comfortable that are missing here. Also, there are signs everywhere that this is a non-smoking hotel but i found tobacco on the steps each day and over the course of 3 days I smelled tobacco usage daily on the steps and in the hallways. And the free breakfast is the biggest joke.
It was cheap and the breakfast was good Honestly the staff was a bit unpleasant to deal with, I think cause we were backpackers they didn't like us.. They weren't very friendly or helpful.
The price was decent The owner was incredibly rude
comfortable & convenient road noise
Clean room The hallway had a weird smell. The rest of the hotel was fine.
The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Great customer service. The room was clean and orderly. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept very well. Good price as well.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They were eager to be of assistance and professional. The dining room was clean, the breakfast was good and a variety of items were available. The carpets need cleaning!
The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms were comfortable and extremely clean. I would highly recommend this Comfort Inn. Can't think of anything I didn't like !
The room was clean and the pillows were super soft. We enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi. The best part was the breakfast. There was so much food to choose from and it was delicious.
Carpeting was brand new (could still smell it, but not so strong that I couldn't sleep) so previous reports of dirty carpet have been addressed. Rooms nice sized and clean, bed was comfortable. Microwave and fridge were an added plus. Hot breakfast included bacon - yum. This is a standard mid-price hotel that was clean, convenient and relatively quiet, except for noise from Hwy 101, which was masked by AC unit during the night. Would definitely stay there again. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up the flight of stairs. It does appear they are building one on the back side of the building, but I didn't ask what the ETA was for it being finished. I was told before I finished checking in that there wasn't an elevator, so I was aware of this. An elevator would be a definite improvement to the hotel.
Easy to check in an out. Very clean bathroom Carpets are kind of old, smelled a slight cigarette smoke odor.
