Good location, very clean.
Single room was very small. No breakfast served.
Very clean room, comfortable bed, nice mini-kitchen, superior bathroom, excellent location just minutes from Earl's Court tube station. Very courteous staff.
Room a bit cramped; could open suitcase only on bed. No breakfast facilities.
Base 2 Stay is conveniently located just a block from Earls Court tube station, a block to a grocery store that is open late and just a block to many very good restaurants. Plus they have coupons for some nearby restaurants that were really delicious and made the bill a little less painful. London is an expensive city so every bit helps!
The room was quite tiny and it was hard to use the small kitchenette. Plus it didn't have anything to clean the kitchen items with and I didn't think to pick any up at the store so we ended up using tissues and one of the hand towels from the bathroom.
Everything was crisp, clean and well-designed. For the price, and based on the name of it (sounds like a text message) I thought it would be more low-class. I was pleasantly surprised!
There was a brief period of no hot water, which coincided with when I had to take my shower, which was quite uncomfortable on a cold, rainy day. I already informed the hotel about it though, and the manager got back to me with a nice email and apology for a brief boiler issue. They addressed the issue quickly and professionally.
Bathroom was dirty, with a shower and no shower caps.
location, close to my business, underground, quiet
The room was delightful. Small but very efficient and excellently decorated. The kitchenette and free internet were greatly appreciated. The location is convenient to the underground and many restaurants.
We would have liked a light blanket instead of the duvet. We were too hot with that covering and not quite warm enough with just the sheet. However, we did not think to request the blanket, so it might have been available.
Neighborhood Location & access to Heathrow very good; However, access for luggage was difficult but possible (just); Kitchen unit very good.
Staff was helpful but had significant knowledge gaps; Windows were not allowed to be opened! Shower water pressure minimal, Internet connection was dodgy and quirky
Convenience!!! Neat, clean room - small but all the conveniences we wanted. The kitchenette was very useful - we bought foods locally for breakfast plus it kept our wine cold! We had seen on the hotels reviews that the showers were good - they were - lots of hot water, great water pressure! It was also close to 2 tube stops - Earl's Court, Gloucester Rd. There were lots of restaurants in the vicinity - one of which had a 20% discount for people staying at the hotel - we loved their food! When we had a problem the hotel staff was very helpful - e.g. blown fuse, how to disconnect from internet on the TV. We were first time visitors to the city and the staff was very helpful with a city map, explaining how to get to the tube stations, calling us a cab when we checked out etc. If/when we go back to London - we'll definitely stay there again!!!! We'll tell anyone who asks to stay there too!
I liked the location of the hotel as well as the modern furnishings. The "base" as it's appropriately called is not very big nor does it offer all of the usual hotel features but is extremely well-priced for London standards.
Small size of rooms
