Pros: Superb staff fabulous breakfast exceeding expectations presentation exceptional beautiful surroundings reasonably priced transport arranged for us to go out for our evening meal
Pros: Barbara was very warm and welcoming. She made us feel assured that our car was safe. The waiters were very polite.
Cons: The property does not have enclosed/private parking.
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff, great breakfast, clean rooms
Cons: There is no airconditioning, the internet isn’t allways working
Pros: The place id beautiful and the hospitality is good.
Cons: The first night we had to take a cold shower. They only have a solar system to heat the water. If during the day there is not enough sunshine the shower water are not hot.
Pros: Barbara was lovely. Very friendly. The area was comfortable and quite. We slept like a baby and breakfast was good.
Cons: Driving up to the location was a bit rough.
Cons: Info from booking.com said this Guest House was to send us info by email about payment. Email never came. As it was after 6pm when we booked for the same night, and knowing some small businesses like this don't take late check-ins, I called the number provided by booking.com. No answer, and the call terminated abruptly. I called back immediately and this time was call forwarded to an unidentified answering machine. I left a message explaining the situation and asked for a call back, leaving my local number. I repeated this process again about 45 minutes later. I called 5 times. The number I called was confirmed the same as that provided on booking.com. Never an answer. Never a call back. We were looking forward to staying here but I guess the owner/staff are just too inattentive in the off season to answer the phone or send emails.
Pros: The owner (Polish Princess, that's how she calls herself
Cons: Air conditioning should be installed. Fans provide cool wind but when its hot ourtside fans just can be not enough. But in general its a very good property to stay.
Pros: Great breakfast. Great staff. Great location.
When you stay at All Nations Guesthouse in Port Antonio, you'll be by the ocean, within a 5-minute drive of San San Beach and Frenchman's Cove Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location is great and peaceful. Staff welcoming and pleasant. The energy is superb, well done! Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The light went during the night so it was a bit awkward this morning. However, night lights were provided to enable me to see my way around the room.
Pros: I had a wonderful stay at the guesthouse. The hosts, Alex & Frida, were warm and welcoming, and always available if you ever needed anything.
Absolutely loved the beds! Incredibly comfy, and such a luxury after a dependably low standard of mattress elsewhere in the country.
The house itself is large and spacious, with plenty of room for the guests to interact or find a secluded spot. Beautiful scenic views of the ocean with lush Jamaican jungle. I would highly recommend staying here if you need a quiet place to escape and recharge from all the Jamaican madness.
Cons: The place is reasonable isolated, which can be a good thing as it's quiet and safe, which is only minor, however this can also have it's own challenges.
It was only $100JMD to SanSan Beach, but there was a stiff walk up 172 stairs to get to the house from the main road, or you had to pay a taxi anywhere from $1500-2000JMD to take you up the hill to the door from Port Antonio.
I would also recommend taking snacks and food supplies with you, as there isn't anything in the immediate vicinity. They do however offer dinner and/ or breakfast for an additional charge.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful building, tasty breakfast options and stunning beaches close by.
Pros: Lovely, welcoming place, with lovely food! Great place to spend a couple of days.
Pros: Alex and Freda were great. Super friendly and accommodating. Great food, good recommendations on what to do. Location was decent, great view and very comfortable space to hang out.
Cons: Rooms need a bit more furniture. I guess it pushes you to use the common areas if you want to sit down. Just a bed, bedside tables and dresser in the rooms.
Pros: Beautiful property, immaculately maintained. Great location, easy access to all the best beaches in Portland. If you can get the top floor room with its own private terrace- a stunning ocean view. Breakfast is made to order every day; delicious and using locally sourced ingredients. To Manuel and his wife: thank you for your amazing hospitality!
When you stay at Pimento Lodge Hideaway Resort in Long Bay, you'll be near the beach and 12 minutes by car from Boston Bay Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Spacious, clean rooms with comfy beds & great natural light. Tranquil location, good breakfast & friendly, eco-conscious host.
Cons: Unfortunately, the property tried charging my credit card prior to arrival, despite the terms of the booking indicating that payment should be made at the hotel on arrival. Luckily, my credit card company flagged the transaction as suspicious. I discovered this after my stay at Pimento Lodge through communication with my credit card company.
Pros: The owner was very friendly and made us a delicious but pricey dinner.
Cons: The property was totally unprepared for guests. None of the amenities which caught my interest while booking were available. No tv. No coffee maker. No safe. No massage. No A/C. Pool bathroom locked. No running water in toilet.
Pros: The owner, Lloyd, was very nice, the room was clean, the AC worked well, it was very quiet, there was a nice bar and views of the ocean from the pool area, Lloyd was able to connect us to local guides and activities, parking was convenient and the gardens on the property were beautiful
Cons: - No wifi the entire week, so I couldn't get online or make my payment via credit card (and they didn't provide exact change for my payment, so I ended up slightly overpaying / the property owing me money) - Essentially no hot water, so had to take cold showers - Bed was pretty hard (negative for me, but may be a positive for others) - Road leading up to the property is VERY rough (giant potholes / boulders, so just be careful); we were grateful we had an SUV that was higher off the ground - Location is pretty far from most things of interest in Port Antonio (~30 minute drive to get to anything, given the quality of the roads)
Pros: The view is amazing
Pros: I loved the staff. The view was good. The rooms were spacious and clean. I enjoyed my stay
Pros: Pimento Lodge is quite the Hideaway. Its beautifull up there.
Cons: The grounds of the Lodge is a little hard to reach by car. Steep road uphill at the southern tip of Long Bay. Not much to do in Long Bay itself.
Pros: The view is amazing. The room was very clean and the grounds well manicured. The fact that it is family ran makes it extra special.
Cons: No complaints.
Pros: We spent a week at Pimento Lodge resort and can highly recommend this accommodation if you want a beautiful and relaxing place to stay at. Lloyd the owner made us feel at home, always made sure we were well taken care of, and provided us with good recommendations of where to go and what to do in the area. All the staff was also friendly, helpful, and the service flawless. You have the option to have dinners arranged at the hotel, which we took advantage of a couple of nights, and the food was delicious. Lloyd also makes sure to have the bar open for when you need it. The views are amazing it was great to go back to the resort with its pool after exploring the region during the day. The small number of cottages on the large property made us feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. This hotel exceeded our expectations, and this was the highlight of our trip to Jamaica
Cons: The road leading up to the property is very rough, especially the last couple hundred meters
Pros: The owner is amazingly friendly & attentive. He truly cares & makes sure all is as best as it can be. If you can’t book online give them a call, 8768825068, the place is beautiful, quiet, a bit hidden away but well kept, wonderful views, plenty of gardens, parking, pool, balcony, mini fridge, coffee machine, etc.
Cons: AC in one room was not very cold, the wireless signal could be improved as it does not reach all over the property (although it is quite a large property), so there really was not anything I didn’t like.
When you stay at Zion Country in Manchioneal, you'll be 9 minutes by car from Reach Falls. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The view.
Cons: If you are a fan of camping, do not abstain! No Wi-Fi on arrival, no fridge to keep food or water cool for guests.Hospitality cold.Hygiene cleanliness is to be reviewed. For those who love animals. Some people's health hurts. Breakfast very simple and served at 9 am far too late. "The hotel" lives thanks to its past glory which is no longer relevant. The photos are no longer available. news.great disappointment! we shorten our stay.
Pros: Free-I, the view, the beach, the amacas
Cons: Nothing, pillow could have been more comfortable
Pros: The facilities are great, with gorgeous views of the ocean. Free I and Owen are so helpful and interesting to talk to. Be sure to check out Reach Falls in town, and have Free I call his guide Leonard, who is absolutely amazing. Reach Falls were hands down the best part of our Jamaican road trip. Owen is also an outstanding cook, so be sure to request the dinners when you book.
Pros: The location was amazing. Just a few steps down the stairs surrounded by a beautiful garden, and you’re at the beach/ocean. We really liked how easy it is to travel to waterfalls, beaches and other things to see and do nearby the accomodation. Free-I is the Coolest dude, with so many stories to listen to. We were welcomed by Owen, who was very kind to us and made us a lovely dinner. I would definitely recommend this place.
Cons: lack of any comforts small bed very old sheets 1 lightbulb in cabin. no hot water in shower
Pros: The cabins are in a beautiful location with sea views and direct access. The cabins are basic but clean and comfortable and each have a hammock. Free- I and Owen are wonderful hosts. One night we asked Owen to cook and we received an absolutely delicious meal. Free-I is very welcoming and informative about the local area.
Pros: Property was great, liked the location and the room was comfortable. Had a great vibe.
Cons: The beach which was a little rocky which caused us to limit the use. Additionally had to settle the bill in cash, would have preferred to have been able to use credit card.
Pros: I liked the location overlooking the sea and Portland is a very special place on the island The whole site is very rustic which is great - it uses natural products in the building / structures such as bamboo and wood which is refreshing given all the concrete houses being built in Jamaica.
Cons: The breakfast could have been more varied and interesting - too much bread and no real choice. On Booking.com it looks like Manchioneal but it is on Long Road and was just a little bit further than I had expected from my family district in Kensington but as local rout taxi's are readily available to get me there it was fine.
Pros: The staff, the view, the location, even the outdoor showers.. just everything was amazing! Especially free-I and Owen (we love you!)

Pros: I loved the bathroom, tho I was tad bit tall for the toilet, lol. The view was amazing, we had a thunderstorm one night, and watching the lightning over the water was beautiful. Once the doors were closed, the sound of outside albeit disappeared. It was relaxing, wish I could have stayed longer.
Cons: The sheets were very stiff, and the floor creaked.
Pros: The service from the whole team - they made life so easy for us. The views from the ocean view rooms - awesome. Curried goat and BBQ’d chicken were both winners
Cons: It’s a little far out so can take some time to get to, none of the local spots are walkable. However this is totally worth while when you get the evening views and chilled atmosphere.
Pros: Breakfast was most delicious and you did a marvelous fried dumplings and fried green plantains. The view is magical and a most memorable sunrise that I looking forward to experience again not too long.
Cons: I did not like the price for your drinking water which is too expensive for locals. Please preserve the ambience which is most delightful.
Pros: Everything... the place is breathtakingly beautiful, the sound of the waves while sitting in the restaurant, the food was delicious and the staff friendly and nothing was too much. I will definitely return to this hotel.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Pros: The rooms were very comfortable, the scenery was absolutely amazing. the staff was exceptional! Monique answered every queries I had effectively and she was readily available to welcome myself and the others that came with. The staff at the restaurant was very courteous and helpful, came to check on us momentarily to ensure we were ok. I really enjoyed my stay here for my birthday, those who accompanied me were thrilled to have stayed here. the food was good, the prices were ok. Special thanks to the amazing team: Monique, Shantol, Ming and the newest on the block Nicholas, all made every effort to make this exceptional. :)
Cons: No tv
Pros: The view from the balcony was amazing and the unique bathroom design
Pros: Fantastic view and a hammock on the balcony to enjoy it from.
Cons: The pool wasn't available and that could have been reflected in the price

Daniel the chef is really talented, all the dishes were tasty and i felt full of energy. Very special place, a paradise, would definitely recommend to my friends and would like to return.
Cons: Nothing that I didn’t like, the only thing to point out is the shower, the temperature is difficult to control. And please change the plastic straws to paper ones.

Pros: Absolutely Nothing
Pros: The worm welcome the little hideaway the friendly environment the room also bring back some memory from the country
Cons: The owners were worm an friendly we feel very welcome. But inside the room was very hot and my friend didn't want the coffee that was offered to us because she think the cat was too friendly with the plates on the kitchen counter
Pros: Very close to the beach, nice hostes, spacious parking, nice view, nice nature arround.
Pros: La Familia was great Beautiful location Quiet area Near beach and village shop Accomadation was excellent and the family running the place were lovely 10 out of 10 very recommended
Cons: The place is really full of dogs and the owners seem to care about them more then about their guests. Had to leave the place at once wehen one of them started vomiting and eating it up in the middle of the open kitchen where we were having breakfast.
Pros: Coffee was excellent (Jamaican coffee the Italian style!). Easy to find. Nice stay with an Italian family. The rooms were clean and beds came with mosquito nets. Breakfast was good, but small portions.
