We were visiting USC. The hotel is right next to campus and feels very safe. I will stay there again.
We had NO cold water. Just HOT HOT water! They wouldnt change our rooms because they were booked full, yet asked me what i would like to do. I asked them to change my rooms and they said they couldn't do that.
The hotel had a very large group of travelers that arrived and left at the same time. Because of this and the hotel's lack of preparation for such a large group the elevators were inaccessible to us. Instead of waiting for 30-40 minutes we had to use the stairs. That's not easy when you're on the ninth floor. On checkout it was the same except worse because one of the two elevators was off for maintenance. This meant that there was now one elevator to service a very large group of travelers that were all leaving together. In addition to the problems that were presented by not scheduling staffing to handle this large group the rooJm was outdated and the air conditioner was not working properly. This hotel can exist only because of its proximity to USC. I would be embarrassed to house a visiting professor or a family of a student at this hotel. It could use some serious upgrades. I've stayed in nicer hotels that were much more reasonably priced and adequately staffed. If this were a location with other hotel choices it would suffer. This was definitely not worth the rate that I was charged.
they need to update this hotel. the bathroom door was very tight and the bed was lousy...I would not stay here again.
Hotel was very close to downtown LA. Overall Staff knowledgeable about the area & helped us plan our vacation. Only complaint was that we got stuck on the elevators for few minutes after checking in & they were out of service most of our stay. We had to use staff elevators instead
Made a reservation for 2 double beds for a parent/child visit to USC, but only a King was available. Apparently, many people are in the same boat. Would have stayed elsewhere if we knew this was going to happen.
Very good location. The price was right and the rooms were nice and clean. Kind staff and pretty accommodating. The only suggestion I have for the management would be to get those windows cleaned. Pretty dirty from the outside. Other then that. I was very satisfied. Would stay there again.
Front desk, very friendly and helpful. Room service was relatively fast, even late into the evening hours. Overall stay was satisfactory. Breakfast from their 'Mckays' restaurant next door was good and reasonably priced, with tax and gratuity added. I would stay there again.
from the moment i checked in there were problems.. first they didnt have the room i reserved 2 months in advance available AND they tried to charge me for that room instead of the standard room charge!! there was also an extra $100 deposit i had no idea about. when we went up to our room, there were already people in it so they had to give us another room... when i told the front desk, they gave me a lot of attitude and werent helpful at all. finally we got to our room and it was TINY. the phone in the room didnt work. took them 2 hours to bring me a rollaway bed, which was also tiny. the entire staff was giving anyone who walked thru the lobby dirty looks and were almost hostile. not the best way to start new years! only pluses of this hotel, they allow pets and it is walking distance from la sports arena and collesium... thats it!! dont stay here!
I was traveling to USC for an event and the location of this hotel was pretty much ON CAMPUS! I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to USC. I arrived late at night and I was dead tired but the gentleman at the front desk was extremely welcoming and made it very easy to get everything situated and me on my way. The room was a little old but very comfortable and quiet. The pool was newly renovated and was very relaxing as well. The hotel had 3 restaurants on property and I tried 2 of the 3 and was not disappointed. I would DEFINITELY stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others as well.
Have stayed in better hotels for less, looks good on surface but with closer look left lots to be desired, 1st- Phone reservation staff was rude, 2nd- Date of my reservtion was wrong even though I had made it months ago -even though I had a confermation order , 3rd- When I arrived ,Had to wait till room was ready,4th-When we finally got to our room the restroom looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned
We stayed at this hotel for the location-- right on the USC campus and right down the street from the Staples Center. The staff was great and the manager was extremely helpful in planning our day trip to Universal Studios and Hollywood. They have Sleep Number Beds, too!! The restaurant was really good and they have a very nice sports bar. My friends really enjoyed the fitness center and pool. If you're going to LA, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
I just stayed at the Radisson across from USC for a football game and I have to say that I was very skeptical but I was really pleasantly surprised to find the hotel was not only in a great location but the lobby was clean, there were even fresh flower arrangements throughout making for a lovely smell as soon as you walked in the doors. The front desk staff was friendly, everyone was wearing USC stuff so it was great to see the staff as excited as me and my friends were about the game!!!!! Go Trojans! \nAs far as the room itself, it was pretty nice, you could tell the hotel is a little older and in need of some love but for the price and location it was just what we needed. The bed was comfy and the shower was fine. We didn?t use the internet or any business services so I can?t comment on that. But the food and sports bar were great! It was definitely was place to be after the game. Lots of USC fans celebrating which was really fun. \nAll and all I have to say that this hotel must have gone through some changes since a lot of these past reviews were written. I had a great experience and this hotel and would absolutely stay there again for the next football game! \n
Upon arriving at my hotel, the staff was very friendly. My room was comfortable and kept very clean. There is a small breakfast cafe and one for dining. I did not eat the at the main resturant. My biggest applause went to the staff and the shuttle service the hotel ran to the convention center. They ran it even pass the hours to accommodate all of us who attended the convention.
While the price was right and the location not too bad for downtown....the rooms were very hard to accept. We did not have a sleep number bed and the airconditioner unit was rusted out to the point you could see through the corner of it to the outside!! The bathrooms were ok at best. VERY noisy area! The staff was very friendly....but it was obvious this hotel is due for an renovation!!!
I loved my stay at the Radisson. The entire staff, from the housekeeping crew to the bellhops, were all very helpful and courteous. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only problem I had was the shower temperature/water pressure were subpar because of ongoing construction near the hotel. The property is located in a pretty good area for being so close to downtown. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
