The SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills is a part of the eponymous luxury chain where SLS stands for "Such Lush Stays." This boutique hotel stands up to the name with eccentric, fantastical decor, right down to the red-lit elevators accessorized with life-sized photographs of famous personalities. How's that for a first impression?
Such a Lush Stay in L.A.
The 297 guest rooms at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills are custom-furnished by the designer Philippe Starck. The hotel's chef, José Andrés, was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in 2012 -- savor his culinary prowess at the in-house restaurant, Bazaar, or via 24-hour room service. A private lobby reserved for guests also doubles as an intimate restaurant and lounge. The Altitude pool deck boasts picturesque views of beautiful Beverly Hills; spend your nights up here with the city's beautiful people, as they set the rooftop dance floor on fire. Recover by day at the luxurious in-house Ciel Spa or in the 24 hour fitness center. A whopping 30,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor function space is available for corporate and private events.
Out and About
The hotel is in the heart of L.A.'s Restaurant Row, the Beverly Center mall is around the corner, and more glamorous shopping on Rodeo Drive is a few blocks away. Venice Beach and Malibu are both accessible by a short car ride.
Interior decorations, bartenders, the lady at Altitude that walked my friends and I to the daybeds, and the drinks
Customer service, mixing up the reservations, the room smelling like cigarette smoke after have it serviced, luggage bags were not delivered until after 3 hours of checking in, and the hand held shower head would leak water when the dial to only have the shower head was on.
Excellent experience, very welcoming staff with good attention to detail, well located and very good in-house dining options. Interesting designs used throughout the hotel.
Exceptional and very relaxed service, not at all in your face but everything was possible! The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and for LA the room was exceptionaly quite. All in all my best hotel experience in USA!
The spa is very good and the heated pool. The brunch was also good.
