Pros: Fabulous hotel, wonderful staff. Mini bottle of fizz on arrival was unexpected but most welcome. Wouldn't have changed a thing and would highly recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a perfect stay. The spa bedroom was amazing and we loved the delicious breakfast and the friendly staff. Mila, muchas gracias por todo!
Cons: It was Perfect, nothing to improve!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel calls itself Agroturismo. Fortunately it does look old, but it is a modern built house. The comfort is excellent, the hosts are great and caring. Very friendly. The whole village is reformed for second homes and vacationeers. prices in the village are as. I would stay there again.
Cons: Only a very minor draw back: The beach needs a lift by car. The walk would be half an hour at least. It does have sea view, but as it is frequently encountered in that area the beach is 1,5 km away. Yes it's seaview over green pastures. There is a local street in front which serves as a "highway" for all cars leaving the village. It's quiet during night time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel tries very hard to please. The breakfast is excellent and they use a lot of local and home-cooked ingredients. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very stylish property - beautifully decorated and with lovely fresh flowers. Excellent breakfast with typical regional products and homemade cakes. Longish but pleasant walk to the appealing fishing port.
Cons: Reading lights weren't quite bright enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful hotel in a great location. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel within 5 minutes walk to centre of quaint fishing village, lovely staff, very convenient car parking
Cons: Lack of airconditioning may an issue during warmer months
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel, very clean, breakfast exceptional (a lot of it homemade). The attention to detail throughout the hotel was very good. All the staff were outstanding, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We travelled there by motorbike and were even given a suggested route to our next accommodation, which was one of the best biking roads we have been on! Overall I cannot praise this hotel highly enough. We definitely be back.
Cons: There was nothing negative at all.
Hotel Rural 3 Cabos - Luarca - Building
2
9.6 Excellent (233 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Valdes, Hotel Rural 3 Cabos is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of El Parque de la Vida and Laurca Marina. Featured amenities include a business center, a library, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly helpful and attentive at all times. Beautiful spot - amazing views. Hotel individual, lovely quirky touches. Room spacious clean and well equipped. Breakfast simple menu but of quality and plentiful. Evening meal lovely - loved the aperitif.
Cons: The bed was a little too firm - but that's a personal preference and suited my husband perfectly. The evening menu, whilst great, was limited in terms of choices which meant a trip out at night was sometimes essential if staying for a whole week. Luarca about 15 mins away and has plenty of options, a trip out may not suit everyone.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place is very nice and beautiful, the hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever met and I will definitely return to it as soon as possible with all my longing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything ! The location of the hotel was a delight, set high up in the hills overlooking the coast in the distance - not to mention the gentle sound of the cowbells worn by the cattle grazing in the surrounding field! Our room was in a brand new building adjacent to the main hotel, with its own terrace ; direct access to the garden and with far reaching views. The facilities were second to none, including the use of a very comfortable lounge , complete with wood burning stove and an array of unusual books and interesting , original objects . The service provided by Tomas and his team was faultless , as was the freshly cooked and sourced food, especially the locally caught fish...thank you everyone! Clearly much thought and love has gone in to setting up this hotel to make it somewhere unique, and an absolute pleasure to stay.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, such an amazing view! Modern and clean interior. Remote location but still easy to get to. Rooms rather small but sufficient. Delicious homemade dinner, more than enough even for a hungry surfer, moderate prices.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nicely modernised and extended traditional house. Interesting decor and communal areas. The evening meal was of a good standard. Great views over the coast.
Cons: Fine as it is.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is orientated to experience. And the experience is all about real countryside of this region. This includes extraordinary hospitality, superb breakfast from local products and a place in original village. The room is spacious and nicely decorated with seating area. You could see and feel how local people live here. It is not for tourism only it is real village with on going farming and light smell of manure. However if you walk for 15 minutes you will reach perfect scenery with cliffs and ocean. Small and cozy rocky beach is also nearby. About 15 minutes drive you can easy reach town of Luarca which is really worth to visit. We had really nice and very interesting stay in this place. And the owners was really really helpful. If you have chance visit local bar nearby to feel more original atmosphere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Joaquina was a fabulous host - friendly, welcoming and helpful. A lovely house and gardens. Off the beaten track a little but we enjoyed the quiet and the short walk to the coast - fantastic scenery.
La Casa de Las Camelias - Almuña - Building

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spacious room. Perfectly kept. Lovely building. Kind staff.
Cons: The hotel restaurant could have had more dinner choices. The seafood soup was very light on seafood. But breakfast was fabulous with fresh cakes, fresh orange juice and various types of milk from almond to spy, along with the typical ham and cheese and bread.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very good and attentive receptionist
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The design is really nice and we like the theme of the rooms. It's a nice little B&B in a stunning location, but pretty isolated (whick is great if that is what you're looking for). The cliffs of Cabo Busto are near by. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The jams for breakfast were amazing.
Cons: We like to wake up early to really get the most of our day, which is why the breakfast hour was a bit late for us (it started at 9, we would prefer to have it at 8 o'clock). And it was automatically included in the price, so we couldn't do anything about it but wait. I would also prefer more salty options (there were loads of cakes).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and quiet hotel. Excellent room. Although we were the only guests, the hosts made us very welcome and ensured we had an evening meal. Walking distance to the coastal path. Good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As good as it gets
Cons: N/a

Pros: Staff were great.....best night sleep I had on whole camino and perfect location for it. Rooms were exceptional for cost....luxury at budget prices.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome and service from caretaker host couple who were always available to help. Onsite parking. Quiet and charming rustic guesthouse with olde worlde character in country location on the outskirts of a very small village about 5k from Luarca. Comfortable en-suite twin room with bath type shower. We enjoyed our one-night visit here. Thank you!
7.0 Good
Pros: The family could not have been nicer. It's a very rustic hotel that exhibits true Spanish hospitality.
Cons: We stayed on the second floor of the house. Unfortunately we were kept up all night and again early in the morning, and were unable to sleep for almost our entire stay here. The family/guests above us (we weren't sure) and the creaking of the boards, loud conversations, etc. made it impossible to sleep. It was sad because the family could not have been nicer, but still, we left exhausted and frustrated at a sleepless night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were just wonderful. So friendly and helpful. The room was decorated in a traditional way, which completely matched the heritage of the 300 year old building. The breakfast was the best we've had on our trip through Europe so far. If you love heritage buildings, history and authenticity, then this is the place to stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were tremendous. Couldn't do enough to help. Love the rural & rustic charm. Slept well only usual countryside sounds to break the normal tranquillity. Would visit again.
Cons: No tv reception in room & no available wifi
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the cozy atmosphere inside
Cons: Nothing, we were for very short time
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our room was dark and cold. The two days in May were cold and the heating was off. A lot of noise from the room above because of the wooden floors with no insulation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely traditional house. Extremely welcoming and accommodating hosts-really lovely!
Cons: No proper shower in the bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was typically rural Spain and the member of staff who dealt with us was excellent.
Cons: It would be better if there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel was a perfect little gem in lovely countryside, we stayed in the wheat loft, this is really quirky. The manger, Louis, and his wife were perfect hosts, and are extremely helpful and so friendly. Thank you so much.

Cons: - although there is not a restaurant as such dinner can be arranged if booked in advance. It is a pity however the food is not up to the standard of the hotel.

Pros: The room was comfortable and clean and had a good bed and bathroom. It was handy for the centre of town and the railway station. Staff at breakfast were friendly
Cons: Lack of plugs ( seems common though in North Spain) there was no plug handy for the kettle which had been left out and had to take minibar fridge out temporarily to use it. Had a window at adjoining bathroom but none except velux out of bedroom which I would have liked

7.0 Good
Pros: Grand, if a little austere, in traditional Spanish style. The sitting area had lots of windows, giving lots of light though sadly not much of a view.
Cons: The bedroom, separate from the sitting area, was dark and, with no air con, we found rather oppressive. My Spanish is poor and this made communication with the host very difficult.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The management is to be congratulated on their attention to design and the retention of the early 20th century architectural style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a garden floor room with seating area beautiful windows and great access to the garden patio. The room was very large; complete with safe and mini fridge. The hotel manager was warm and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. Super central location, public parking lot about a 7 minute walk and the little bay with boats and restaurants is about 5 minutes on foot. We wish we could have stayed longer! We would definitely return.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It's in the city center.
Cons: We were in Camino del norte and were "welcomed" on the stairs with the suspicious that we "came to the wrong place". The room is small abd dusty, the air is stuffy.my husband has asthma so we had to shake and remake the whole bed. The bathroom was not very clean. Bathrub had rust around. The water was chlorinated. You have to wait for 10min to get warm water. And the pressure is super low. There is no water or tea. Only a machine downstairs that will give you tiny espresso cup of hot water for 1 euro and cheap low quality tea bags.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the staff & the room comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I booked this hotel for my 80 year-old parents. The best part of the experience was the exceptional service from Carla, who spoke English and went out of her way to help park the car and answer their questions. The location in the main harbour made them feel part of the scene and there is a lift from street level to the hotel for those who need easy access. Comfortable beds.
Cons: The hard bolster pillow, so common in Spain, is not very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable room very good, friendly staff
Cons: All good
4.3 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: We Walked for 3 weeks on the Camino de santiago walk and booked this hotel as a luxury stop at the end. Only to be told on arrival that the pool was being refurbished and was out of use. We then got told that that the other spa pool was €15 to use. Had I have been informed all of this I would not have chosen to stay. This cost me €88 for literally a room in a 'spa' hotel that had no spa. Rip off. It was also on a busy main road and 30 min walk from the town which offered no food options until after 2030.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location on the harbour side. They were happy to offer secure parking for our motorbikes - and we enjoyed the restaurant .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast coffee was very good.
Cons: Some outside noise
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location - right by the harbour - was excellent. By far the best place to be in town.
Cons: We stayed in a room in the new part of the hotel. It was excellent, modern and clean. We had dinner in the restaurant which is in the older part of the hotel. The surroundings were a bit dated and could do with some renovation at some point. Overall, though, this was a great place to stay and very good value for money.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely friendly staff and clean hotel

Pros: Beautiful hotel and gardens. Lovely town.
7.0 Good
Pros: A quirky old building thats full off character and interest. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast good.
Cons: Like many older building it needs lots of maintenance and there were signs of it needing attention, such as small areas of damp plasterwork. The room had a dampish smell, but nothing that particularly concerned us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. This property is sublime. Magnificent 1899 manor house superbly decorated. Our suite was palatial with French windows opening onto the garden with views to the mountains. Lovely to wake up to birds singing. Close to the centre and easy to enter and exit to explore the region.

Pros: We were in the suite. It was spacious and comfortable. The room was clean as was the ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was good. The host was friendly. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk down to the port. The return walk back up to the hotel is a little more strenuous and may not be suitable for everyone, but you can always drive. Recommended.

Cons: There was no fridge, no complimentary water, no fan, no air-con. There was no dressing table or adequate desk. The breakfast is basic. Not great value for money.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely period property with a great garden space to relax in. It's family run and the people running it do care about their customers. We were riding motorcycles and were offered the use of a hose and when the proprietor saw us cleaning the bikes and umbrellas when we took the short walk into town - small but important touches that make you feel like a person rather than a room number. Free use of the coffee machine was a welcome nice touch too!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building within a lovely park. Lots of space to relax in and outside. Rooms and bathroom are big and decorated with great taste. Very quiet, sleeping with an open window is no problem. Good breakfast with fruit, ham and cheese. The staff is very helpful and has plenty of ideas for sightseeing, restaurants etc.
Cons: A bit off the center. About 20min walk.

Pros: The place was very clean and quiet. The owners were so nice and allowed us to use their clothes line for our wet clothes to dry.
Cons: Thought we would have a nicer view of the sea or river than we had and instead had a view of a highway bridge!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and good people
Cons: Decor could be nicer. Too much stuff
10.0 Excellent

Pros: You will either hate or love the winding road up to this bunked accommodation at the top of a mountain! A fairly new build and so clean and modern with stunning views and overall a cheap adventure-based location. By the way: getting access/keys involves seeing the bar staff at the ‘shop’ 100m away.

Cons: All of the bunk beds were dirty when we arrived. There was no hot water.

6.8 Good
Pros: We really liked this hotel. Its is a little out of town but was so peaceful and it had a little bar to relax. We are walking the Camino and it was so nice to relax here. It's about a 20 minute walk into Luarca but we met many lovely people on the way for a chat. The room was super clean and for the first time on our trip they had fly screens so we were not bitten by mosquitos during the night. I would really recommend this hotel as we had such a nice time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room very clean and staff very friendly and extremely helpful would recommend hotel zabala and if we travel that way again would definitely stay there
5.8 Okay
Pros: The woman who checked us in was very nice.
Cons: The location, right by a major highway was terrible. The car noise, even with the windows shut was constant and loud. With the windows shut and no A/C the room quickly became hot and sticky. There were also no screens on the windows, so when we did open them for ventilation the room filled with mosquitoes and flies. We hardly slept all night.
