The breakfast was a 10/10 night staff on reception left us waiting for entry into the hotel, until he had finished a phone call. Barman ignored us when we tried to order food and drinks and served a customer who had obviously been in the bar all night giving tips to the staff! Night staff were very poor to say the least!
Location, excellent breakfast buffet, good food in evening offerings Unable to call internationally and night staff had no clue about solving situation.
The location from the airport, very convienient. Ideal for a business person or a family looking for a one night stay. Staff very friendly and efficient There are no complaints
Restaurant staff seem to be bothered by our presence and not too will to see if we required service at all or not
Nothing The room was very small The shower was very small Nothing was good about this place
Location for airport. Good bar and restaurant area unusual for an Ibis. Usual Ibis cleanliness.. Watch out for the pricing policy. The published rate is a fiction. Always book in advance to fix the rate.
perfect location for very early flight next morning
the bed was really comfortable none
We arrived late and the staff were welcoming, friendly and gave an excellent service. Location very good. 24-hour bar a great asset. Room was much too small, very clostrophobic. We stayed in room nbr 106 (ground floor), window faced the car park and we had no privacy - only if the curtains were drawn. Curtains were damaged and did not close properly. Price of gbp 79 far too high for these standards.
No obvious directions from the airport terminal to Ibis Hotel for guests not arriving by car. There is a regular bus service (stop en route to Parkway) but it isn't well promoted.
Room was comfortable, cosy and very clean. Lobby/bar area was cold, was freezing outside but maybe heating could've been turned up.
It's less than 15 minutes walk to Luton Airport The bed in the first room they gave me apparently hadn't been changed from the last occupant since it contained several long black hairs. I asked for a different room and was given one, but this changeover ate into the five hours sleep I was already limited to and should not have been necessary.
Friendly staff at the reception. Within 10 minutes' walk from the Luton airport. We sat at the hotel restaurant table for 20 minutes without even being noticed by the staff. And oh yes, we tried everything except shouting. They just walked on by, so we left to dine elsewhere. The Internet tv image resolution was lousy and the tv channels did not show properly (antenna or cable defect?)
Convenience. Restaurant good for what it does. Order off the specials board. Very well sound-proofed.
the attention given by check-in staff and the comfort of the rooms, good food none
nice having a bar, free breakfrast buffet, coffee and tea started at 430am. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Ran out of things at breakfast time
Location location location Nothing bad
Hotel is very near to airport and i was satying to pick up some friend of mine and it became very easy for me .
Excellent location close to airport. Very quiet and comfortable room with good shower. Complimentary breakfast was fine with good quality ingredients .On a freezing cold weekend, the hotel was very warm and cosy. Whilst dinner was of acceptable quality, the menu was perhaps overpriced because of the captive market. I do resent paying £5.90 for a glass of not very good wine.
Excellent location by the airport, nice and professional personnel, professional services, clean
closeness to airport, clean, efficient room no warning that there would be a charge for parking the car overnight check in staff short on charm!
Every aspect was ideal for the peaceful, luxurious and celebratory stay for which we were looking. The management of the restaurant seemed to leave something to be desired. Whilst the staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous, many of them appeared to be wandering around aimlessly as if they did not know what they were supposed to be doing. Further, there must surely be something to be said for guests to be allocated tables for the duration of their stay, rather that allocated haphazardly at each meal.
The buildings and grounds are superb, the spa is very good but most importantly the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Anthony at concierge.
i booked for my 21st wedding anniversary as a surprise for my wife. The entire weekend was absolutely brilliant, outstanding historic building, great facilities, wonderful staff, fab food, we enjoyed the spa too. We will recommend to freinds and return without doubt. no
There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom and bedroom to make up. Please please allow pets!

Hotel was Luxurious, Staff friendly and Spa facility amazing, would Highly recommend. No, all good
For a stately home it had a homely atmosphere.
The hotel itself is grand and beautiful with lots of character. The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. We loved pre dinner drinks and the atmosphere in the lounge with the fire burning. The swimming pool and sauna and steam room were great. The jacuzzi had the most powerful jets and we thoroughly enjoyed being the only guests that afternoon as they only just opened the pool. The walk around the hotel is lovely with the secret garden making it more attractive.
The restaurant in the hotel, The Wernher, was superb. The food was totally excellent. Worth every penny! The service was very good too. The hotel itself is beautiful , inside and outside. The grounds are lovely. When i booked, i was given the impression that the room would have views of the grounds,as that was part of the room description. But we were given a room that was far away from the grounds and below the ground floor. But the room itself was gorgeous.
- Pet friendly - Beautiful building with beautiful rooms and beautiful gardens - The kitchen is just regular - We had to queue for the breakfast because the room is too small - We had to reserve even for the 5 o clock tea hours in advance
Luton Hoo is a superb hotel The staff are excellent and very professional the buildings impressive and the dining rooms spectacular .. we did not play golf but we did think the course looked very boring ...the spa was wonderful and the rooms very comfortable and extremely spacious We had a room in the coach house [ an ungrade not asked for but offered ! ] It was above the pro shop of the golf course and very noisy [ beware ]
the cleanliness of the room and facilities in general was quite impressive the shower was faulty in my room, sort it out guys! it's an unnecessary blip on your otherwise unblemished record
chack in took too long
the perfect comfort of beds, the cleanliness of the room and bath, the restaurant and its prices No bus to and from the Luton airport. Distance to Luton Airport; although on websites it says the hotel is pretty close to the airport, actually it is not that close.
For the £65 I paid I wasn't expecting one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I include in this list some prestigious 4 and 5 star hotels and lodges. The room was large, well appointed, the bed supremely comfortable, the shower large and like standing under Niagara Falls and the free internet access and widescreen tv were an added bonus. We stayed in the hotel for dinner and were very impressed with the quality and value. Breakfast at £9.95 was also excellent. I cannot fault any aspect of this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. Let's hope that once the smell of fresh paint subsides the staff are equally enthusiastic.
so the bed was very comfortable as was the room in general the view from the room wasn't fantastic but thats a stretch to find something wrong to say
Lovely room, excellent value for money
Clean. New. No bar facilities in room. No bar late for customers. Cold reception. Staff foregin and not very warm on arrival. Food awful
Nicely decorated reception area and room. The location isn't great for central Luton.
Very nice room with upmarket fittings. Paper thin walls between rooms. You could hear everything going on. Very poor breakfast that doesn't do justice to the Hilton brand. Surprisingly the breakfast was no better in quality over a premier Inn. Premier Inn comes out on top in terms of quietness. Their doors don't slam.
Lovely new and clean hotel, friendly porofessional staff and a very comfortable night. The restuarant is large and rather lacks atmosphere. £9.50 extra per person for breakfast a bit expensive so we gave it a miss.
Hotel staff very friendly, room very clean and comfortable
Staff was excellent, and her assistance: hiring taxi, quick process for check-in. I also liker having drinks and snacks in the lobby. It took me a long time to figure out how to set the alarm clock, and even so I couldn't set at the time I wanted. No soap/shower gel in bathroom (it was over)
Price The sheets in the bed appeared not to have been changed. I slept on top of the comforter.
Clean, friendly staff, basic but all that was required was there, good value for money Bathroom light didn't work, orange walls, small, small bed, only one pillow each.
Welcoming staff.Cooperative and eager to help.Clean environment. No wardrobe and no bedside table or desk for using stationery. No tea making facility in room.
Ther was no smokin in the rooms that was the only down fall. I think there should be smoking rooms available and also I asked for a room with window and the windows didnt open got vry warm in the room.
Found the place 2 b spotless and the 2 staff members on desk the 2 guys were very helpful and polite and know how 2 do there jobs. Justb when booking on line the money taken out off card straight away prefer just 2 book with card and pay on arrival because my card is in euros and occured some stupid charges on exchange rates and so on.
Checking in speed very good, location very close to restaurants and train station. I think the rooms need a shelf or small table, and the air conditioning when its sub zero outside should be turned off.
funny because it seemed to be at legoland a small room with no desk and a tub as big as that of a plane easyjet. do not walk near the airport. luton town is a terrible, if you can fly to Gatwick or Heathrow
For one night stay it was good, very clean
it was crap couldn't adjust heating, couldn't breathe.
Good breakfast, room clean but lacking in maintenance - see below. The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in - the base had plywood screwed to it for support, the matress should have been skipped years ago. Shower/toilet floor tiles loose and cracked. tv picture very poor.
The breakfast was OK Very Noisy, road traffic, trains, banging doors from the bar below. Restaraunt not open for dinner due to refurbishment, which it badly needs.
There was adequate parking next to the hotel. The room was ready on arrival. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice room. Breakfast was good. Our room was directly above the bar and on the night of our stay there was a DJ and disco. The noise was loud and the base made the floor vibrate, however, although it did not prevent us from sleeping because we were really tired I feel that other guests would find this a problem.
Really big room, bath in the bathroom, not a shower as you usually get. close to the airport, you can get a taxi for 5 pounds. Noisy at night not because of the train or planes but because of other customers coming back late at night at taking showers at 1-2am, extreamly noisy plumming
The room was clean and spacious with tea & Coffee facilities. Normal check- out time is 11 A.M. but they allowed us in our room until 12.15 (reluctantly) and provided storage for our cases until we departed for the airport in the evening. There was loud noise from the Bar on Saturday Night but Sunday Night was fine. Last breakfast is served at 9.00 am., which is a little early for people on a leisure break. My sister asked reception if she could buy some milk (we had run out in the room) and was told to go up town, they could not give her any. Perhaps they didn't have any.
Staff were helpful - if somewhat disorganised. The location of the hotel (between the railway line and a main road) made it extremely noisy. The rooms and corridors were smelly. The hotel seemed to be in the midst of refurbishing some function rooms - the bedrooms also badly need to be updated, decorated and recarpeted.
As commented. Bad description of location
Clean sheets and comfortable bed. Pleasant and friendly check-in person. Asked for quiet room but were given one on main road and next to a noisy couple despite the hotel not seeming to be occupied by many guests on the night. Difficult to find hotel due to no name on the building. Dirty carpets in room. Electronic safe advertised but not in working order. Walls very thin, could hear every noise from next room, and I mean every noise! Wake up early call requested but not received. Stains on room ceiling. Noisy late music from downstairs bar until late. Pictures of hotel on internet very misleading. They flattered the actual condition of the hotel.
The staff was very kind, and helpful! The rooms were comfortable. During our stay the hotl was under reconstruction, the workers were a little noisy. The breakfast serving was clumsy.
The hotel was clean and central to Luton. We used it purely for "a bed for the night" before going to the airport in the morning. The rooms were simple but had all we needed, bed, shower and TV. The hotel is noisy, both through loud music in the bar and the traffic outside (only single glazed windows I think!). However you do get what you pay for and what can you really expect for £40l! If you want a luxury hotel don't stay here, but if you looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel then this is as good as any.
The bed was crap, and licking shower. Verry big noise from house keeping staf during day
Good breakfast and very clean rooms. No staff at reception on arrival - had to call main number for attention. Tiny bathroom.
Room is spacious and bed is comfortable Stairway and hallway are too narrow to walk through with luggages
I found it a very comfortable hotel all the staff were very helpfull and the overall standard was excellent. I think the decor in the Main Lounge was a little bit dated. Could do with a renovation
Staff, food bed creaked although new. manager was going to fix this.
The room was nice and the bed very comfortable, the breakfast very good. It was a good idea to stop here for one night after arriving at Luton airport late in the evening and the day after taking the train to London. No complains.
Restaurant food was excellent Requested twin beds and ended up with a double
Intimate atmosphere. The stairs! The carpark!
Had to cancel due to a medical emergency, and the staff was very kind and efficient. I would recommend the hotel to others.
The location, beside the main railway line, a busy main road and on route to the hospital.very noisy room did not have air conditioning despite hotel being advertised with it, tried to sleep with windows open, bad mistake, too noisy. Room where we had breakfast not air conditioned either. Very uncomfortable stay
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Very stylish & comfortable Location. Very limited of on-site parking. Bedroom too small. Breakfast service very slow - frustrating for business users.
The staff were friendly, the room was nice and there were some nice touches. When ordering dinner my starter failed to arrive with everone elses I was then informed that they had run out ! by the time I was told my party had finished theirs. When trying to order wine everything I chose was not available. One of my reasons for picking this hotel was to look at its suitability for hosting future conferences which I organise on a regular basis. Based on my experience I don't feel at present that I would be able to recommend that we use the hotel.
Good service, clean rooms
Bery fast check in /checknout, very friendly, nice rooms but not big
Staff very polite and helpful. Noting special to mention concerning the hotel. The room is very small. Definitely not a four star hotel!
good but too small room.there was no place to turn around in the room.the drininking water was charged 2.50 pounds a 350 or 500 ML bottle. this is the most expensive water I ever had in my life. there was no place to keep your clothes and no writing table. it was not worth for 123 pounds a night. one night stay it is ok but 4 or 5 night stay it is not a place recomended. The front office staff was extremly very good and they make you feel at home. the English breakfast was excellant. my best wishes to front office staff Virginia and Michel.
It is a smart, new & well furnished hotel. The tv only had one channel & it was over 24hours before this was corrected. Also, and more seriously, because of alledged wiring problems the lights in the bathroom did not go out unless the "power card" was removed from the wall. This than meant all power to the room was switched off, including the air conditioning. I also advised reception on check out that this fault, which I understand is also in other rooms, could be a fire risk. Not good! There were also problems at breakfast with regards to quantity & quality of food as well as service.
we arrived after midnight staff was very helpful and nice. the room was small but very cozy shower door didnt close properly which caused flood in the bathroom, but because of late hour didnt complain
Nice interior, good atmosphere the room was a bit cold, but that might be due to the start of winter and heating not yet adapted to the colder temperature?
Hotel's new, so looked great.
Hotel was quiet during our stay. Room was comfortable and spotless.
Restaurant was cheap and cheerful Not very clean
no room service no wireless internet in room only braoadband no telephone in room and the kettle didnt work properly
Very friendly staff. Continental Breakfast offered from 4.30 am, ordered this at receiption but order had not got through to appropriate person and no breakfast was available.
New hotel with nice clean rooms. Hotel is too far from Luton Airport and has no shuttle bus. Not possible to have dinner in the hotel or in the surroundings (only Asian fastfood available)
the hotel staff were very friendly and the parking was secure. The rooms were also very large. It is also in a great location for gatwick airport which was only 10 mins away. the bedding on the double bed was worn and marked making it appear unclean, upon inspection i'm sure it was clean but it might be usefull if they invested in some new bedding.
Friendly staff, good location Newly refurbished and there were some points which needed finishing off ie. no bins in the room, the bathroom was badly designed causing flooding.
Hotel was fine for a weekend stay, breakfast was a little cold as we went down at approximately 9.00am On On last visit lift was not working, and again on this occasion lift was not working so was difficult for elderly person to go up the stairs
Comfort They asked me the payment during check-in. It is the first time.
Breakfast was excellent and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Lift out of order so had to walk up to 3rd floor, and on reaching the landing there were 3 swing doors leading to rooms but no sign to indicate which room numbers were through each door. Inevitably we tried the wrong two first! Just a small point but maybe worth attention!
standard of furnishings
Great value, excellent facilities, lovely staff. Room was small but had everything I needed (except for storage space) including a well lit desk area. A few storage points or hooks in the room would have been useful. The ensuite was tiny, so a cheap 50p hook for my toiletries bag would have been really helpful.
Welcome, even at a late hour. Cleanliness and facilities in room It was puzzling that there were three steps to access the lift. Kettle did not fit easily under tap in sink. No camomile tea provided! Could have done with instructions about the plug in the sink.
The hotel was very close to the motorway and the staff were very friendly and helpful. No, the hotel was very good.
it gave me everything that I really needed and there were no snags or problems Not a big deal, but the bath was very short - too short for my long legs. At breakfast the coffee was quite terrible - why not real coffee?
The staff where helpfull first providing a very small electric heater and then moving me to another room upon request. The first room had no heating, and on one of the coldest days of the year. The second room was warm but full of old broken furniture. With a bed the size of a large single definately not a double.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Inexpensive. The room lighting could be better. The corridors were strewn with empty food trrays
clean, hotel staff ptleasant value for money
co-operation of staff
The service in the restuarant
Convenient location. The heating was not working and the room/bathroom was tired and shabby.
Nice hotel staff Dated hotel, net curtains everywhere let it down a lot
Location I think the beds need changing they are making alot of squicking noise
It was a very friendly family business, brilliant Nothing
Staff very helpful, nothing was too much trouble
The staff was really great! The bar tender ordered me kebab delivery since I arrived after the kitchen closed.
English style hotel, private baths, convenient to city and train station, friendly staff, full English breakfast available, restaurant downstairs. Downstairs pub noisy, particularly on weekends. No lift or AC.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast and the food in the bar was excellent and great value. Had a problem with the heat in the room. Unbelievably it was too hot.
Room was clean and spacey. Looked lovely on the face of things. Room noisy- below cylinders, couldnt sleep, eventually got taken out of noise put in another room, but no heating -froze.NO wake up call as promised which was 3.00am. Hotel not near enough to reatsuarants, andcouldnt even sell us supper. Found staff friendly but inefficient. Boss's son had a rowdy party till wee hours of morning in pub below which the staff couldnt control.
The room was comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous
the staff were friendly the rooms were not warm
helpful friendly staff, great breakfast nothing
i liked the family atmosphere about the layout of the whole place , very friendly , id definately go back their, no
the service was brilliant
A nice clean bed between working hours! No
facilities found the staff rude and unfriendly
Very friendly and pleasant staff, relaxing bar area, rooms great Bar meals menu not great, but restaurant fine. A little noise at times from planes passing over.
Very quiet room, which was what I asked for! Very nice meal at the bar and lovely breakfast Nothing really
Poor to Average hotel Reservation details that were sent to the hotel were incorrect, wrong rate. Hotel staff knowledge of facilities was poor.
Excellent value. Used as a stop over for an early flight from Luton airport. Good location. Only about 12 minutes from airport. Price included use of health club which we did not use but gives added value.
Very nice, comfortable hotel. Being slightly hard of hearing, the TV sound was not loud enough and not anyone available to adjust it. This seems to be general in Holiday Inns therefore this would make me reluctant to book Holiday Inns again.
Very good value for the price paid. Clean, spacious room with good facilities. Comfortable bed and even a choice of pillows. Helpful, friendly staff at reception. Hotel is in a convenient location for Luton Airport which was ideal for us, because my girlfriend was here just for the weekend from France. Also convenient for for Whipsnade Zoo, which is only 10 miles away.
Value for money and easy to get to. Well located for Luton airport. Friendly, polite staff. All seemed very reasonable. Walls very thin though!
reception opening hours (closed until 9am).
good location, but the room is absulutely small
Free wirreles conection, close to the Airport the hotel is to old,you can hear the neibours without any problem, the bed was too small, and i didnt like the sheets at all
i didnt like anything ,we only stayed one night as we were unhappy the room was tiny, damp, freezing and the walls were paper thin. we got no sleep and the next morning at 9 am a cleaner started banging about in the room next to us for well over an hour.there was no remote for the tv and it was up so high i couldnt reach it
a very good place in such a price the description about the hotel is not enough
The rooms were very very small, poorly furnished and lacked cleanliness
Excellent facilities for the cost
Awful surroundings of the hotel. Strange pubs, I almost got robbed...
Nothing The untidness,Shower door was broken it was a disgrace,i will nnot be returning there ever again.
close to the airport
It was reasonable value for money lack of trained staff. Room was very small with facilities outside.
freindly staff room was small an air vent would of helped
cheap room and parking. Only one tea bag and nothing to stir my only cup of tea! Only one pillow to support myself having my one cup of tea. Only one lamp in the room. A bedside reading lamp would not be expensive to fit. More hooks on the back of the shower room door to hang one s clothes and a soap dish.
The receptionist was very nice, he even ordered a taxi for me which came in time in the morning. Cold bathroom
Near the airport Very out dated, desperately needing a face lift.
Close to centre of town, handy for shopping, ideal for proximity to airport and easy to find.
the reception hours, closed between 23h00 till 8h00
It was close to the Luton Airport. The hotel room was freezing and cramped. The bathroom was down the hall and unpleasant. The hotel required a taxi to get to it.
Some promised facilities missing e.g. telephone in room
Thre was no parking space for customers
