Pros: Great place for a quiet getaway. Staff are very friendly and the food was surprisingly excellent!
Cons: Pricey, only place to buy food and beverage, so they keep the price for everything to high.
Cons: no telephone in rooms to use for room service..the beach is not good for non-divers..alot of rubbish in the water and seashore..lack of staff..too pricy
Pros: - the private beach, unfortunately there was a lot of plastics on the beach - the swimming pool - staff was great
Cons: - the prices for the activities + food and drinks were rather high - also the shuttle was very expensive, it can be cheaper if you call around - wifi connection wasn’t that great
Pros: The main staff including the front desk and the wait staff were very attentive. They even allowed us to use our room for showering after our whale shark tour. I highly commend them for their overall service. The resort has a private beach area but it could use a bit of maintenance (mostly cleaning).
Cons: It was a bit of a hassle trying to get on the whale shark tour after our flight was re-scheduled for an earlier departure. Having said that, we were able to get on the tour but not without a bit of stress.
Pros: Whale shark watching tour was excellent and fun and the guys on the boat were awesome
Cons: Staff are friendly but incapable of doing their jobs, slightly dishonest, and cannot communicate well in English. Room was clean when we arrived but when we woke in the morning the room and all of our things were covered in cockroach dung... we saw the massive offender and tried to get him out but he ran into a hole in the wall where I suspect he and his friends live. We told staff and went out for the day on our whale shark watching tour, which was excellent and fun despite not actually seeing any whale sharks. We came back to find our room filled with insect spray - maybe 2 whole bottles?! All of our belongings and clothes covered with it, stinking and sticky. One of the employees entering the building and passing our room asked what had happened and said she would open all the windows and gather our things and move us. Our clothes had to be washed before we could wear them so we spent the evening in our swimwear. Food is nice but over priced. Fruit platter wih three mango slices and one apple cost 425 php. Most of the menu not available although staff dont tell you in advance. They had to move us to another room and tried to charge us for the extra cost! Absolutely shocking and disappointing. When we complained to the manager she only argued about how difficult her life was managing incompetent staff rather than acting professionally, apologising and arranging some kind of compensation. Other reviews are fantastic and it could be that we had a one off experience, but we will never return.
Pros: Personalzed service, good mattresses, beautuful natural scenery, great options for daytime activity like island hopping, guided diving, snorkelling and skippered sailing. Honeymoon couples, vacationers who wish to just chill by the beach or read a book, friends who want to enjoy a barbecue on a white sand beach on an island half an hourr away, or take memorable photos of themselves in a tropical setting will enjoy staying in this hotel for two days, at least.
Cons: The stairs leading to the beach area is rather steep. This could potentially be a spoiler. I wish they can also stock up on coffee beans and offer a selection of teas. Otherwise, the owners serve cold beer and lovely cocktails.
Pros: for the place and staff, Kudos they did a great job and to Ma'am Delia keep it up! i love the place most especially to the beach!
Cons: for the breakfast meals, they should improve more especially on food and its price.

Pros: Nice location right on the beach with great weather. Friendly and helpful staff to address any issues. Breakfast was yummy and well prepared.
Pros: Food Room to small We had to climb over each other to get out of bed Bathroom so small that I had to stand in the shower to pee in the toilet Would bump into each other crossing the room This was the standard room we booked

Pros: Love the breakfast.
Pros: Friendly staff....
Cons: had no time to stay longer :)
Pros: The 2 pools were good
Cons: It’s run down and needs a renovation
Pros: Everyone was really respectful and as helpful as they had resources to do so
Cons: Could have been better maintes. Never could eat lunch at the property takes an hour just to thaw meat to cook. Restaurant is not breakfast lunch and dinner only breakfast and lunch. Sometimes cook isn’t there at certain times in the evening.
Pros: Very close
Cons: Very caring and helpful staff
Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: No water pressure. It took several minutes for hot water to reach the shower. The front door would not latch, the dead bolt had to be used to keep it closed. The shower and fixtures looked like they had not been cleaned in years, including mold between the tiles. The elevator didn't work and when I asked about when it would be working again, I was never given an answer. Hate to have been on the 3rd or 4th floor. The restaurant has no AC, only a small fan on a stand, so plan according. The pump/filter for both pools was never turned on so I have to question if they even worked. At one time, I imagine this was a pretty nice hotel, especially for the area, but poor maintenance has really changed all of that. For the price, this should have been a 4 star hotel, not a barely 2 star it turned out to be.
Pros: Good food. Friendly staff.
Cons: Fruit available for breakfast
With a stay at GV Hotel Maasin in Maasin City, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Maasin Cathedral and within a 5-minute drive of Monte Cueva Shrine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: location is in the heart of city
Cons: a bit dark and no hot shower
Pros: Staff were very helpful. Wifi was good. And if you want somewhere that is cheap but safe this place is perfect. Very Basic. But had everything.
Cons: Very Basic. Bathroom was old. No hot water. Had to ask for towels. Was close to Street so very noisy.
Pros: The aircon is in good condition and I'm comfortable during my sleep.
Cons: Poor Housekeeping. The location is noisy especially in the morning. Toilet bowl flush was not working and no heater.
Pros: value for money.
Pros: Checking out.
Cons: Place is disgusting. Tiny dirty rooms. Uncomfortable old bed. No hot water. Have to climb over the dirty toilet to take a shower. Wifi is poor. My advise is to avoid all GV hotels. If you want a reasonably priced clean basic place look the Asia Novo hotels.
Pros: Location and staff friendliness were good.
Cons: WIFI is poor, rooms are cramped and not in good condition. It's a noisy neighborhood too. Also booking said only 1 room left available but most of our floor was empty with room doors all open...
