Commissioned by King Alfonso XIII in 1912, the newly restored Westin Palace Madrid is set near the Prado, historic monuments and some of the best tapas restaurants in town. It was ranked as one of the world's best hotels by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2010 Gold List. Topped by an enormous stained glass dome, the regal building has been a center of Spanish society for almost 100 years. It boasts meeting rooms, restaurants, bars, shops, a beauty parlour, and a WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio overlooking the city. The 467 guest rooms and spacious suites have been updated with all modern conveniences and with the Heavenly® Bed and Heavenly® Bath. Rooms are exquisitely decorated with antique furnishings and original mahogany and plaster details.
Have stayed there before and was 'welcomed back'. It is ideally located, overall a very pleasant hotel. Excellent staff.
Location of hotel
Comfort of bed was spolt by squeaking everytime you moved in the bed!
Staff was unfriendly
Great location. Beautiful old hotel. Concierge excellent.
Breakfast very expensive. Staff was not well informed of the hours of restaurant.
The calm atmosphere and the beautiful interieur. Luxurious but still nice and comfortable.
The price of two drinks was about the same as the price of one flight ticket back to Oslo . . . .. .
