The views, especially from terrace. Great location! Fountain in front was not working, but everything else was beautiful.
Loved the location and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We will return. The hotel has its own beach but guests have to pay 25 euros to get a chair and umbrella. Seemed a little cheap to charge guests for beach access.
food was lovely.views were amazing Staff most unpleasant, very unaccomodating, whenI asked why mini bar was empty I was told to get my own drinks at the bar. When I complained there was no iron, was told to come down and collect one at reception but that the hotel did not possess an ironing board. When I complained that there were ants in my room , there was no apology, I was just told a maid would spray them. Bar was closed every time we went to go for a drink.
Wonderful sea view with two big balconies. Rooms were clean quiet and spacious. Good location as well
The room was great, high ceilings with a balcony and What a view!! Staff was very helpful in how to see the local area by providing a bus schedule and directions. The great breakfast was on a lovely balcony looking over the sea. Short walk to the city center. Though pricey we definately recomend the resturant across the street. The mattress and pillows were poor quality. We had no problem using the bus from the Salerno train station to the hotel, but if you're not public transportation savy be prepared to spend a lot on a taxi.
Everything Better english speaking reception
View from the balcony and terrace was truly amasing! Room was spacy enough, with modern TV (10 music channels!). Liked private beach (10 EUR for two persons per day). They gave us superior room instead of standart with no extra charge. Didn't like archaic conditioner for making too much noise at nights. Room is pretty ascetic, with wooden shutters and no carpet on the floor. Ants crowling around both room and bathroom. By the way there is no bath in bathroom - only shower. Breakfast is quite poor, without hot meals and meat. In general, it looks like 3*, but with really nice view and SKY TV.
Location was close to the beach and amenities. Hotel was quite noisy and the walls were thin. Bed was uncomfortable and rooms weren't very stylish.
staff was very friendly and hotel was nice and well situated for our holiday
Nice Residence, beautiful sea view, close to the amaizing beach, atractive roads, kind staff. Residence car park-mentioned on webside that parking is free, but after booking there was announcment that we have to pay for parking 20 Euro per day. Pleas check before booking- by calling to residence- if parking is free or not ....
Brand new, friendly staff no sidewalks made walking to main hotel dangerous
We were delighted with the professionalism of the staff and its services. The employees went out of their way to ensure that all of our needs were looked after. The breakfast was excellent. The location & view from this hotel were exceptional. We would be pleased to return to this hotel but would reserve a standard room in the refurbished section of the hotel. Our rooms were quiet & very clean.
Great Staff, lovely hotel, brilliant position, good food, nice pool. Nothing not to like about it! Can get a bit noisy if facing the main street.
Everything, from the moment we arrived, they look after you but do not fuss you or bombard you with information. It is so relaxing, and it is in the very best position in maoiri, especially for the view from the front rooms.
the friendly Italian staff, sea views over the Amalfi coast where do l start ? there was no hot water every day, the only way to get it was to run the taps for 30minutes ...... on the day of the wedding (reason for being there) we had no water at all, the wife couldnt shower before and to make matters worse we had no water when we got back to wash our 11month old baby. Reception eventually told us they couldnt promise water to the 5th floor and had no other rooms !!!!! Friends of ours on the same floor paid the same for their room but had a much better room, they also demanded a bill reduction for the same water problem and got one, we didnt demand anything and got no reduction just a bottle of champagne. The pool and spa was very cold, unusable so. There hotel is a poor attempt at a 4 star.
Receptionist was very very helpful and nice. Sorted out taxi's and gave very good information. Room cleaned every day and hotel was well kept. All staff welcoming Pool was salt water (maybe to be expected being right by the sea) and this was not state. Also not heated so was a little bit cold on some days.
this hotel is one of the very best in the amalfi coast region, i did a lot of research and booking.com was brilliant at getting me a room there as at first I was having trouble booking it myself. In fact booking.com was a little cheaper so dont even bother going direct. yes some of the reviews on the booking.com site I think were a little unfair. It is excellent value for money in my opinon.
The staff were so accomodating especially the receptionist Anna. The rest of the staff were so friendly even the maid was so helpful. The hotel staff made our stay so enjoyable the views were amazing and the breakfast was excellent.
Room size, cleanliness and breakfast in garden Not much English at reception, breakfast quite basic
It's location, especially the close proximity to the beach and a great hotel pool. The pool is a good size and deep with high and low diving boards. Beautiful tropical garden around trhe pool too. One staff member at front desk is truly excellent - most of the others are not multilingual and unhelpful. The view of the bay is fantastic. Hidden charges for beach use. Costly additional (but advertised) charges for parking. Scratch damage to vehilce while parked in hotel care. Very outdated decor in hotel. High cover charge for in-hotel dining. Advertised sound proofing is non existent and the surrounding area is very noisey.
The Breakfast The room was very small, poorly decorated, nothing like what was advertised on the site. There is a charge to use the beach which is tiny and parking was very exepensive. It is not a 4* hotel rating at all
The Reginna Palace Hotel was the most perfect place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is situated in a very convenient location if arriving by bus from Salerno or from the towns to the west. We had booked a regular room and because the tourist season was still a week or so away they had put us in the most incredible room on the 5th floor (top)with a huge terrace looking out over the coast and sea. We truly were not expecting the old world charm and elegance the hotel and its staff had to offer and we wished we could have stayed longer than one week. The front desk staff were more than accommodating to assist in any questions or travel bookings and were full of helpful information. Daily breakfast on the poolside terrace was a highlight every morning and we looked forward to having that wonderful Italian coffee amidst the smell of jasmine and other flowers. The dining room staff made us feel first class. The hotel in itself is beautiful with peaceful gardens full of flowers and trellises cascading with wisteria and lemons. It is across the street from a wonderful beach and seawall promenade and shopping, dining and sightseeing are just steps out the door. Maiori is probably our favorite town on the Amalfi coast and our stay at the Reginna Palace Hotel confirmed a return visit.
The view was amazing - but this was after we paid an up charge to get a view with a balcony. The Sea View that was booked originally - you had to really stand on something to see it.
the staff, the bed, the view and the location for the cost the room was to small, no room to put your luggage or sit comfortable.
Perfect view, perfect staff, perfect beach, perfect breakfast.
Absolutely everything! Staff were fantastic, food in the restaurant amazing. Buffet breakfast fantastic, especially sitting out on the terrace overlooking the spectacular view. They went above and beyond our expectations, highly recommend staying here!
the building itself is gorgeous and so is the view!
The hotel was spacious and restful. There were many guests staying but it was never at all crowded. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is beautifully located and the flowers and plants are a major contribution to peace and enjoyment. Delicious, unhurried breakfasts on the terrace overlooking Amalfi town were memorable. We thought that the all white decor with little furniture and no colour was severe.
Everything was absoluet correct Nothing
both sisters were very pleasant, the hotel has a very warm feeling and we will be recommending it to our friends and relatinves travelling along the Amalphi no
The staff were exceptionally kind and very, very, helpful. I was made feel most welcome.
The family was very welcoming and helpful. We arrived early and they accomodated us. The off street, secure parking was great. It is only one block from the seaside promenade. Breakfast was plentiful. You couldn't beat the price on the Amalfi Coast!
Location - in town with plenty of eating places nearby
It was a family business, Mumma cooking in the kitchen restaurant, daughters helping out reception etc. Very friendly and helpful and could understand english most of the time. Three course dinner for 12 euro was good homecooking, true Italian! Wire wove bed, slightly uncomfortable and small but considering the price it was OK.
The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was in an excellent location being close to the village centre and the beach. It also has secure and free garage parking. This hotel is quite basic and not much variety for breakfast, ok for a short stay.
Cleanliness and generally good condition of the rooms. Friendliness/helpfullness of the staff and owners. The fact that it has a lift. Bathroom smallish but very well appointed. The hotel is on three floors of a building that is otherwise residential/commercial. Church nearby with bells that chimes every 1/4 of an hour.
Good value - very unpretentious pension. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist e.g. by providing an early breakfast. There is car parking in what looked like a Nuclear bunker - very secure but a bit of a hassle getting in and out. Breakfast was nice. Maiori is a pleasant resort and centre for discovering Amalfi coast. Two minutes from the beach and bars etc. Good value for money. For the price it was fine.
The hotel staff was excellent. They delivered us a bottle of wine to our room and opened it while we were overlooking the ocean. The included breakfast was also excellent and the location was great. Maiori is a nice, quiet less touristy area of Amalfi. I highly recommend staying there rather than one of the more crowded areas. The hotel was a little dated, but well kept, so not a big deal. The bed was a little stiff for our taste, but we were exhausted each day so not that big of a deal. The view from our balcony more than made up for it.
Everything is excellent from when we arrive until when we leave.Location is very good, we could enjoy beautiful view from room, everywhere in the hotel. Dinner OK, but not every night. You better try outside restaurant, too. Cheapeer and same level as hotel. Breakfast is good, food, service, no problem at all. Shuttle service is good, driver took us to town when we request. Coming back, he came punctually on time to pick us up. If you can understand Italian language, it's better as you will be in Italy. Of course staff's English is OK, but you have to be accustomed to catch Italian English. If your communication ability is OK, you can enjoy your stay. We love to come back again. Nothing at all.
staff were excellent. facilities were amazing and location was superb.
Super friendly staff, Weddings, weddings, weddings
Excellent spa Restaurant staff were awful - they were slow and brought us the wrong things, dropped things on the floor and were generally unhelpful. We were put in a room in a block that was not yet finished without any terrace/balcony or view at all
Good position with nice views and very comfortable hotel. Staff frendly Diapointed size of supeiror room. Lots of extra charges ie shuttle bus/newspaper/in room internet/massage usage ect
The views from the hotel
The spectacular view and the pool. When we arrived at the hotel, there was nobody to help us with our surcases, so I had to transfer them by myself. For two continuing days the housekeepers forgot to prepare our room and they did it very late (8.00 pm) after our complains.
staff assistance was excellent lack of beds at the pool and a games room would have been good and in order to use the spa facilities you had to pay €20 per visit per person yet it was advertised as a facility of the hotel !
The a la carte Restaurant - Poor quality of food - not 5 star at all! met several guests commenting on it.
Views Size of room . Even de luxe was very small
Charming hotel, big room with great view. The bathroom jacuzi was a real pleasure, breakfast under the lemontrees was a dream. What I most enjoyed in Hotel Pandora is the super friendly staff. In 2 words: 100% satisfaction
Family feel to the staff. Just a few rooms with a great view of the sea, right on the mountain's ridge an above the road. Nice, clean design of rooms, breakfast patios with great view, pool on the roof terrace - again great views. Good location in Maiori where it is easier to find a parking and start a trip further down the cost. Parking is hazardous, even though the staff is making every effort to make it easy... It is obviously due to location on Amalfi Coast, or rather Amalfi road.
The hotel was situated in an idyllic postion, with fantastic views over the med and Amalfi coast.
Very friendly helpful staff. Glorious breakfast terrace. Fantastic views. Comfortable modern room. Attractive pool and terrace. Too many steps
views from the hotel were amazing traffic noise
Friendly staff clean modern rooms good decor standard. Handy for beach and restaurants. The only drawbacks were that the continental breakfasts were a bit sparse and the hotel certainly did not have "kerb appeal".
The hotel is in the centre of the town. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The only issue was that the air-con is turned off during the day (I think it was from 7-2pm). But you can ask to have it turned on during this time.
It was very good rate, excellant hotel staff, nice & tasty breakfast..Good location off the hotel, near:bus stop, interspar shop, main big sand beach!Maiori is very good location for your honeymoon..
Staff were very helpful and eager to make our stay comfortable. They provided us with a beautiful room with a lovely balcony and view of the ocean. The room was great and the ensuite bathroom was fantastic. It even had a jet-spa bath. Great for the weary traveller. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was away from the main township of Amalfi. A lot more space and peaceful stay. Breakfast was very basic. But I think that is the norm European standard breaky?
Recently renovated hotel with modern bathroom and we had a huge terrace which was a nice surprise. We were pleased that we could check in late (11pm) as we got stuck in a traffic jam en route to the hotel and the reception staff was very accommodating.
A special thanks for Maria from Housekeeping. She made our visit to the hotel very comfortabel and pleasant.
Excellent and comfortable room , swimming pool , decent breakfast , friendly staff, free parking. Wifi only in lobby (Free).
Location, staff, pool, tennis and rooms. Everything a family would need for a vacation. Beautiful views.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We stayed in one of the apartments and the rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the pool which was quite large and very clean. We would really recommend this hotel as a wonderful base from which to explore the Amalfi coast region as well as Pompeii and Capri.
the staff was extremely friendly
very nice hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are very neat and everything is in good condition. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. You can walk easily to the beach. We really recommend this hotel to everybody.
close to ocean/beach We waned to swim, but was not allowed because we needed a swimming cap? No one wears those anymore - and I'm sure no one travels with one.....
The hotel was very clean and the staff happy to help with all your needs.
Large apartments at a reasonable price, Clean. Friendly staff. Apartments poorly equipped and no double beds. Not 4 star standard as advertised.
This is really good.Friendly people. Low price, good quality. Swimming pool. About 700m from the beach of Maiori. Quiet location. Airconditioned. Good breakfast. We stayed there three weeks and enjoyed it very much. We can recommend it to everyone. R.Gruijters. Holland
There was no Panorama from our room. When we use water, brown water came down. It is said full breakfast, isn't it. I don't think so. It was continental one.
Cleanliness of the room. Size and decor of room. Breakfast both venue and content. Friendly breakfast staff. Helpful reception staff
For beds were a little soft. I prefer a firmer mattress.
Having a kitchen and place to eat. Views. We liked it so much that we went back! No-one was there at 3 pm when we arrived to try to book in a 2nd time. No answer on the phone either. He arrived about 3.30. I expected someone to be there all day
The appartment was excellent with a great view over the sea from the balcony, would highly recommend it Ants were a bit of an issue around the balcony, but the service staff were very prompt in clening up and removing them for us, very clean otherwise
Room was beautiful but the bed was surprisingly uncomfortable. The staff in the restaurant were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. Visited the restaurant twice and the experience was consistent both times. The rest of the staff were amazing, however. We loved the ladies at the front desk and the bag boy.
there was not much good things to say about this place. the images on booking.com is very misleading, there is no services, the jacuzzie was not tuned on, the access to the private beach was locked, there is no parking, it is very isolated from town, and there are too many stairs to climb. it was not worth staying at this place.
We were in room number 2, down 137 stairs and only the view to a building site. However the room was nice and clean even though the a/c didn't work. The hotel did not meet our needs. But a fabulous location - especially if you get a room much higher up than we did. Everything is chaotic and charming at the same time ! We would however never go there again
Good privacy and nice big rooftop with jacuzzi. Walk to a nice small beach below, which was a relief from the main beaches. Air conditioning was handy. No staff onsite or phone available to speak to someone in case of a problem - we had to walk for a kilometre down into the town to talk to someone about the air conditioning that wasn't working, only to be told that you had to close all of the doors and windows (including the interior bathroom door) to get the a/c to even turn on. They should have told us this at check in if the instructions were so specific. Cheap furnishings and very badly stocked kitchen (no basics such as chopping board, sharp knives of any kind, dishwashing liquid or cloths, teatowels, wooden spoons, kettle etc). We found this absurd considering the description. How are we to keep the kitchen clean if we don't even have something to wash up with?
good place, perfect quality/money to stay if you travel through Amalfitano coast
Though at some distance of Maiori (10 minutes walking), which has its drawbacks, a very nice location. Especially at the end of a long walking day in the splendid environment, relaxing in the jacuzzi on the roof with a beautifull view over the sea is really worth a stay. Check in can only be done during office hours (10-13, 16-19), which was not indicated. Indicated was between 14-16. The check-in address is in Maiori, at the office next to the Regina hotel (Corsa Regina 6): also this address was not indicated on the reservation, with some back and forth walking to the appartment as result.
View, large rooms, great service The mildew on the walls and in bathroom
The views are some of the best we have ever seen from a hotel balcony anywhere in the world. The location is stunning
Hotel staff is very friendly and polite. We can see seaview from room.
Fantastic location, having superb views over Amalfi and its harbour. Good sunbathing facilities and access to swimming in its sea water pool or the sea. Good views from bedrooms as well as public rooms. Good variety in its restaurant. The staff were extaordinarily helpful and professional The standard rooms only have small balconies, some of which are enclosed. Neither your site or that of the hotel indicate this difference between standard and superior rooms.
We loved the fantastic ocean view. It was no luxury hotel by any means but nice & comfortable.
The staff and service was nice. I liked the pool alot. The price for any hotel in Europe is very expensive for what you receive in the USA. I was surprised they did not have any pugs to convert US powered electronics to Italian (all other hotels we stayed at did). The walk from the hotel to Amalfi proper although not that far could be harzardous due to limited side walks on the windy street plus walk through the traffic tunnel. Needs shuttle servic
The attentive staff, location and facilities. N/A
The location was amazing. Every view from every angle was beautiful. The dinning room staff was also great. The hotel staff (outside of the dinning room) couldn't have been less helpful or less knowledgeable. They could have also used a 24 hour menu.
great location, views, pool / ocean area. parking a huge plus. restaurant well run. i would definetly stay here again.
The location was exceptional. I loved being on the edge of the cliff. The ability to go down to the pool and/or swim in the Mediterranean sea was so exciting. We had probably the nicest room, end with the largest balcony it was perfect. We had rented a car and the signage from either direction was the best. The entrance (at the road level ) was unimpressive. But I don't think you can change that because the whole excitement of the hotel is the location on the cliffside. The distance into the main part of town was easily walkable and fun, although there was a shuttle service we didn't use it. Getting to the town of Almafi is not ideal if you need to use the ferry or bus (especially if its not high season). We had to take a taxi ride to Salerno for 100 euros in time to catch the train to Rome to make it to the airport in time. However we had time to take the ferry from Salerno to Almafi for 6 Euros each for 35 minutes, which was ideal and fun. (no worries about driving the coastline road.
The view from our room and all over the hotel was incredible. We loved being very close to Amalfi (10 min walk) but not directly in town. The staff was very nice and attentive and knowledgeable. The pool decks built into the cliff were an amazing place to hang out for the day. The bed wasn't the most comfortable in the world but it was fine and made up for by the rest of the hotel
There was a pool and access to the sea. Location. Timings of mini-bus shuttle service into town were not useful.eg.drop off for lunch but no pick up later.
The ambiance and decor are delightful - this place has a lot of character, and it's location is onvenient for Minori (though the attractions of this small village are limited mainly to its location). Parking is very difficult and the hotel's parking garage is very expensive and rather inconvenient to use. Our room was charming but extremely small and not very well laid-out. The toilet facilities were rather inconvenient. Under the circumstances, I think it represents rather limited value for money;
Staff helpful, room clean, good location in minori. Had to pay 20 euros per day to park the car. Wouldn't go half board next time as dinner was nothing special.
