Very clean hotel, good cleaning staff. The hotel is situated near beach, boulevard and trainstation. The rooms are comfortable. The interior of the hotel is pleasant. The rooms aren't ' soundproof'. You can here a lot of noise coming from the halls, swimmingpool, etc. The buffet is fair. We chose to have breakfast somewhere else a few times. The hotels target audience are families. For young couples not the perfect situation.
great breakfast and free entertainment in the evenings suitable for families.Great help at the front desk with tours, car rentals and sightseeing. purchased internet time at the hotel, it was unsuccessful, but was refunded gladly, unless you are eating at the hotel which is mostly buffet style, and a bar, there are not many food options in the hotel. Pool closed at 8pm. No carpeting in the hotel made sound travel fast. there are lots of shh.. quiet signs on evey floor.
Friendly, basic but very adequate, half board option is great value for money, pelsant location oposite a beautiful beach
Room was ok
there is no drinks service in dinner inclusive of board... even for water you have to pay extra in dinner.
i loved the food it was so good, also the location to the sea and the shopping. maripins is very far from the airport and they have no suttle and your web site says suttle the taxi cost ne 107 euros to and from airport and this really made me very tired as i was alone and waited for over two hours waiting for their suttle. apart from this i enjoyed everything else
Everyone working in the reception was extremely, exceptionally friendly! (Also the cleaner.) I felt like they are friends. Could not be better. I am so glad to be offered this questionnaire, otherwise I might not have got round to give this feedback. Only that my room was not facing the sun.
staff were nice , quit place , butiful beach near to the hotel
breakfast buffet was excellent value/great selection
one of receptionists was really good only one of receptionists was good very noisy
sea view, close to beach food
We recommend top rooms with the sea view. Simple breakfast but fair enough. TV without remote control so no working.
I was supposed to be a 4 star hotel, but did not match this criteria at all. The rooms were basic and many things were broken. I think it should be downgraded a star or too. I see it as a large, dated mass tourism bunker. And they need to take many easy finishing touches. Particularly outside to improve it. Including dealing with the view of the car park, rubbish and wasteland at the back.
Excellent hotellstaff. They were very nice to us when we arrived and also during our stay. Perfect breakfast and very nice staff in the bar next to the pool. Nice to be able to watch world cup in football in the bar. The hotel is close to the beach. Everything was nice.
Asked the hotel receptionist to request that our patio door be fixed as the lock was broken, meaning that our room could easily be accessed. This was not fixed. Mini-bar locked – we were later told that a key was needed. Upon returning from breakfast we found we were locked out of our room at 10am! The key-card was programmed to expire at this time. This check-out time is ridiculous. This is not a 4-star hotel.
it was great, especially the staff the heated pool should be open later
Nice and quite hotel.
It was too noisy at night.
It was clean, comfortable, friendly staff and excellent service. Food was very good for dinner. We would have liked fresh fruit for breakfast as it was in abundance for dinner but no sign of it at breakfast. The noise of train outside but after a while you would not hear it.
Great hotel for the price. Three pools to choose from, sauna, nice diner. Breakfast menu was the same but was good enough.
The Staff It was not advertised that a railway line ran in front of the hotel inbetween the hotel and the beach
Good location need the beach. The train is close, and very quiet! Nice tree pools, the one on the roof is great. Food ok very predictable, fresh, vegetables - just tomatows. Rooms are simple and comfartble. There were a large free parking yard neer by. We forgot some suvenires in the closet, the staff made an efort to send it to me.
Nice familly hotel close to Old town and good restaurants
Location is perfect - just few minutes from railway station and very close to the beach. Hotel was quite noicy late in the evening. Most of the time party in the hotel restaurant
Extremely basic and extremely noisy during the night
it is just near to the ocean no
The party noise from the street outside kept us awake all of Sat night, so don't stay in a room on the front beachside.
The hotel is very clean and is located in the proximity of the beach and the touristic center of the city; the beach is sandy and very wide, compared to the neighbouring resorts up to Lloret de Mar. Also, the railway station is located at 5 min. walking distance, which allows you to travel very easily to Barcelona (about 1 hr.20 min.) or other resorts such as Santa Susana, Callela, Pineda de Mar and the trains are scheduled every 30 min. The hotel was fine in general and we enjoyed our holiday.
The staff was good. The location of the hotel is very comfortable: near the seaside and the railway station. the meal and the condition of the air was poor
The best of this hotel is... the Beach
Luggage room was undattended
The pool area. The aircon didn't work in the room. Found out during the night, didn't complaint though.
Hotel was kept very clean although the cleaners were sometimes too kean to get in to rooms in the morning Reception staff not very pleasant not welcomed to the hotel on arrival, no information pack in room to advice re the charge for the remote control for tv or advice re the aircon times, no full length mirror, walls very thin kept awake by snoring in the next room, pool waterfall never on and noise from main road kept us awake until early house.
Hotel very clean and inviting, central for beach and entertainment. could be a little noisy at night.
the facilities, the swimming pool hidden from the road, the location the extras! wifi connection, secure case, tv... nothing included!
the cleanliness and location
Nothing at all. I stayed 1 night then checked out and found alternative accomodations. The staff were rude, the room was horrible, and the food was the worst I've seen in a 3 star hotel in quite some time.
A resort for old people +60 yrs old. Hotel is below what they show in the pictures. To get the TV's remote control they asked for a deposit. Not even in a 4 star hotel they don't ask for that. Next day I moved to Barcelona at Hotel Fira Palace, which I truly recommend.
4 beds in one small room? Bad food! No remote control for small TV in the room. Freezer did not work.
staff no tea making facilities
Overall it was not dissapointing but average but definitely better than expected staffs were nice apart from one Victoria.. who was quite ignorant!!
Was just one night before moving to other Serhs hotel for main holiday, and found it to be reasonable value for money, although was not happy with hidden charges. Extra charges eg,for key to room safety deposit box,TV remote, parking etc.
Very good location and clean rooms, good value/price ratio. They want guests to pay at arrival, but it is not mentioned on the website. At the time we were there they had at least 300 teenager in the hotel making so much noise we could hardly sleep. Before dinne we had to wait about a half an hour to be able to enter the restaurant. They run out of the one hour internet card, so they want to charge us a 24-hour card, of course you need to pay everything in advance.
The helpfulness of the staff, at reception and in the restaurant. The hotel was very noisy during the early hours of the morning; on Saturday night/Sunday morning from a nightclub nearby - impossible to get to sleep; Sunday night/Monday morning - noisy late revellers. This will deter families from enjoying the hotel.
Good choice of food, spacious room, sea view, helpful courteous staff, central location, very reasonable rate. All good.
we enjoyed stay, used hotel as base for trips it was enjoyable
Good location. Plenty of choice for breakfast but only open between 8-10am Like many Spanish hotels the rooms/furniture are very dated. Very 1970s - If this is 3 star then I would not want to stay in 2 or 3 star hotels. The room was also very small and the walls were thin. I was able to hear the loud social gathering of my "friendly" German neighbours at 2am. Hotel staff didn't care. Rude guests and rude staff.
Very helpful staff at front desk, especially vivian Nisey neghbors were easy to hear
Location,Service & clenliness No English speaking channels on TV apart from news. Would also benifit from a fridge in bedrooms.
Value for money On reflection too far from Barcelona, but not your fault.
Friendly Staff. The WLan is not included. Very loud, because thin walls.
Polite helpful staff, clean rooms and facilities, off road parking available( traveled down on motorbikes), good food available at a reasonable price, bar with entertainment every night
Not much really, It was cheap and that was the only good thing 1. The rooms stink of smoke, 2. the patio doors did not lock (there was a group of 6 of us with 3 rooms and none would lock). 3. The amount of people staying here was unbelievable!! It was hard work to even walk up or down the stairs with the crowds of kids messing around. 4. On Saturday night the noise from teenagers outside the Hotel went on till 6am.
Near the beach(across the street is an underground pasage under the railroad and the beach is right on, quiet little town, lots of little shops around, 10 min to train station (Santa Sussana or Malgrat de Mar). Can get to Barcelona (Plazza Catalunya) in 1 - 1.30 hour - 2.85 eur/ticket My room (6th floor) was a little smelly and chilly at night (september, rain). The food is poor, but for the buget is more than enough and you will find something to eat. (I'm used to 4th or 5th stars hotel :) )
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and really friendly staff. Great location, beach on your doorstep and train right outside if you fancy a trip to Barcelona. Malgrat de Mar is a place to go if you just want to chillout! - Sorra d'Or is by far the best place to stay and is set in a little square beside the train station, with a few cafes around which attracts locals as well as tourists.
The staff are very helpful, great evening buffet with lovely wine & a brilliant buffet breakfast in the morning, we only stayed for one evening travelling to southern Spain but we would go back to this hotel again! It is a little difficult to find but the hotel in next to the train station with a free car park. I beleive the hotel also offers secure parking for 12 euros.
it was very easy to find and the staff were very approachable and easy to communicate with even though english was noy their first language.
Th best thing about that hotel is the Location - just across the rails from the beach. Also the food althought almost not changed during the week stay there was a great variety and choice. If you have an option get a room with see view - it is marvelous. We did not like the constant noise as a result of the location of our room looking at the pool side. In addition we could not close the window to reduce the noise because there were not AC.
Proximity to beech and train station which would have taken us to Catalunya circuit had it been tipping down with rain. Able to park motorbike right outside tha hotel and off the road. The food wasn't the best, I was glad for this reason that we were not staying longer than a few days. Packed luches really are not worth taking.
beach in 50m, parking
I like that the hotell where so close to the beach! The rooms were clean. The guy who welcomes you in the restaurant was very nice. The food was ok if you dont expect to fancy food, much to choose from. The sound from the disco was very high, and in our room we felt like we were in the disco. But it stopped at 24:00, so it was not so big problem for us. Worse for familys with children I think...
I liked the landscape when I was on the balcony :); The bedroom was very comfortable, and the beach with the sea was very close to the hôtel. Finally, the price was the best with regard to the other hotels (in Pineda, Santa Susanna and Malgrat). Good stay^^ !! Everything was good :)
The location in the old part of Malgrat. I stayed at the hotel about 40 yrs. ago. Ofcourse it was family owned then, and therefore more intimate. The female reception staff were a bit frosty, the young man was very helpful.
The food was really nice No air conditioning in roms
The staff was by far the best part of the stay. It isn't worth it to wake up early for the free breakfast.... it's that bad. Plus, you roll out of bed to elbow your way through hoards of people. Not fun; sleep in and catch some pizza on the beach across the street :)
good food room cleaning
except price all other things needed to be improved.the quality of bed/mattresses were very poor. bed, mattresses, small TV and small rooms
Close to the beach and shops. The room had a nice view and a balcony that you could sit on which had sun most of the day. It was not full of loud nosiy teenagers, like many of the hotels in the area. the room was very basic, and small, but was good enough if you only need somewhere to sleep. No bath.
all inclusive ends at midday so if your there till late u have 2 pay 4 all drinks.also u have 2 have a card 2 get ur drinks if u dont take your empty glass bk u have 2 pay 2 get another card only 1 drink per person ..this hotel need refurnishing .meals couldnt eat ok if u like chicken everyday poor meals .
the food was reasonable but could have been labelled if vegetarian or not the shower was very poor head kept falling off - cleaning was not of very high standard air conditioning poor pool to small
The area. Beach and shops are located at easy reach. the beach is beautiful. The Staff on the bar are lovely and the staff in food room are friendly. The bedrooms are basic however cleaned everyday, fresh towels and sheets. Food. Having 2 young Children I found it hard to find something for them to eat, the food was basic and was the same quite a few times. the food was not totally un eatable however it was hit and miss. and we actually went out 3 times and had a meal somewhere else. The maids were quite rude.
Swimming pool so little
Its location Nothing
location, very near to the beach, view from the window, hotel staff food for breakfast was ok, but for supper it was terrible, better not to take half-board
Hotel was very quiet yet only a short walk to all the bars and restaurants. Food was exellent. No, this is a super hotel.
One very good and big open swimming pool for two hotels. There is two hotels (3* - Luna Park, 4 * - Luna Club) on one territory. This hotel may be good 3 * but not 4 *. One restaurant for two hotels. Poor menu in the bars.
Noisy room, i e room facing the pool and quite late and loud entertainment. Guests have to be informed upon check-in about it and even asked if it's convenient for them.
4 stars is much too much for this Luna Club Hotel . I mean location , staff quality, hotel facilities , food ...
was in a good location that was easy to reach and had parking nearby Staff were very unfriendly, under-trained and seemed like they needed an attitude adjustment. Simple requests were often met with a shake of the head or a grunt.
Comfort room. Food.
very friendly and helpfull receptionist, welcome dinner no cleaning, but we only stayed for 2 nights
Good and variable food in the hotel for a reasonable price, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, hotel located close to shops, restaurants etc. Nice beaches with rocks start around 15km north in Blanes, which may be a problem if you do not have a car.
the only good thing is the position in front of the sea. speaking about the rest everything is bad, staff, rooms and furniture I think the pictures of the rooms in the site are fake
the location ,entertainment, breakfast, pool, barand close proximity to shops and supermarkets and resteraunts thin walls noise from next door
There is no sauna which I was looking forward to, which is this websites fault! Fix your Hotel Description! As stated by others regarding hotels in this area, the walls are like paper and you can here everything from the hallway, surrounding rooms and from the bar area downstairs. You need to be aware of this if you like a quiet early night.
Not much, although reception staff quite friendly In my room the bathroom door and surround were rotting away because the water from the shower was all over the bathroom after each shower and I needed to use the towels to soak up the water to avoid slipping. My room balcony was north facing so did not get any sun until late evening. The walls are paper thin. The dining room had very few cups and glasses for the number of people. You couln't get a sunbed in the sun unless you put your towel on one at about 7.30am, all other available sunbeds were in the shade. The pool was too cold and too deep.
exellent ambiance/atmosphere and friendly (international) personal. breakfast, diner aso, really good. compared to tthe 4 star (other part of the hotel) a lot of difference.Clean though, and good value for money, but simple beds and short for 1.85m and longer. 3beds rooms also meant beds above each other.
I liked the pool and the staff were great. There was no air conditioning and house keeping didn't always clean the room, they just made the bed and put new towels.
my visit to the hotel was a journey down memoey lane and I was disapointed as it had not improved a lot since my last visit the bathroom was too small and poor quality, rooms were poorly decorated furniture was poor quality
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious and close to the water. There was an odd smell in our room. Other than that, everything was great.
Lovley location, polite, friendly staff, clean and comfortable, nice small building.
It was in a good location overlooking the sea front, shops below and then you can just walk straight onto the beach or stroll along the shops opposite the beach, plenty of nightclubs and eating places to go to a few things need doing in the apartment, kitchen tap needs fixing, toaster/grill needs replacing, no broom or dust-pan and brush in there, television needs more English Speaking Channels.
Window vew, close to the beach, citchen facilities very bad sound isolation, not comforteble beds(very soft)
the view of the beach, very accessible to other places and the fact that they allow pets..
good location near station very clean no kettle no microwave oven
Staff was very nice and helpful, clean room, very good location just 3 minutes from beach. Noisy neighbours with children and dog.
good position for use of train to barcelona, which is a very good price and very frequent. even on Christmas day. The staff were very helpful with trying to locate a restaurant on Christmas day. The town of Malgrat closes down over Christmas, including all the restaurants.
Ideally situated between the old and new parts of Malgrat the Iris should have a higher star rating. It is spotlessly clean and well appointed. The welcome by Maria and the helpfullness of Concha could not have been better. Superb see views from both rooms. Very close to railway station for easy and cheap access to Barcelona. Good restaurants nearby (Nolo oposite and Japonese below particularly good) but try bars in old part for value for money - brush up on your Catalan first though. Easy parking close by. It is difficult to find because of the one way system, but this is no fault of the hotel.
Price Hotel was closed when we arrived
