I went to the dinner buffet, and it was literally the best one I've ever been to in my entire life. Additionally, although the hotel is a bit dated, it's classy and a very special place.
I didn't love being so far out of city center, so I left a night early. If you're looking for a staycation or want to be close to Intramuros, this is a fantastic place to be.
High quality and huge selection for breakfast buffet. Very experienced professional and well-trained staff. Beautifully updated spacious rooms. Lovely pool area for city hotel.
The room was quite nice, and the staff helpful.
The breakfast buffet was expensive, so I went to their coffee shop. It took 30 minutes for the food to arrive.
THE place to stay in manila
Charming, gracious facilities steeped in history with all modern comforts.
Nice Historic Hotel
Lobby is impressive
Rooms in older section need updating.
The room at the tower good. Breakfast has lots of choices and good service too.
When i was online trying to select a room. From the website, the room grade i select was suppose to be the newly renovated rooms with rain shower, marble bathroom counter, tv in bathroom and etc... But when i check in, i was assigned to a older room at the main building without all as described. I call the loddy and they told me that my room grade was not the newly renovated rooms, it is available at the next higher grade room. I was not too happy about this as i feel that i was misleaded to book at this hotel because of the renovation. But not so. I talk to the manager and she allow me to change room, but keep reminding me that this is only a courtesy upgrade, next time please book the higher grade room. My point is that the hotel are giving miskeading into on website to customers and the staff should be aware of the room class and provide the correct room to customer.
Breakfast buffet, pool, comfortable room, friendly staff, beautiful lobby and wonderful musicians, elegantly dressed staff
Attitude toward guests not up to European standards The required deposit is unnecessary if a credit card is used to book room
Location. Near shopping malls and landmarks
Carpet is old..needs updating
Historic look, reflects Philippines culture
Breakfast buffet had good variety but quite salty
The Best Hotel
Stayed at Manila Hotel 35 years ago and it was luxurious and elegant then and it still is! Breakfast buffet was more like a brunch! It was excellent, delicious but sinful !
The second time we were there it was very crowded but then considering it was a weekend, it's understandable !
A portal into old Manila with all the classic immunities one would need in any 5 star hotel.
Diminished value of a landmark
The carpets are dirty and needs replacements. The lights are uneven. The old charm of the hotel has vanished. It looks old rather than historic. It looks tired and at time tacky.
