Let's face it, you pay for this place because of where it's located. But, we were pleased with the room, the staff and the breakfast. Beautiful view of the Mississippi from the roof. Walking distance to the local sites. If we ever go back to Memphis, we'll stay here!
Good location. Room was narrow and bed was a queen size. No Internet in rooms, only in lobby although they advertise free Internet. This hotel was in a good location and staff was very friendly & helpful. They charge $16/day for parking. Next time we would try another hotel!
This hotel was great in so many ways. The location was great. Easy access off of I40, walking distance to Beale St, Peabody Hotel (for the ducks), restaurants and the trolley. Pet friendly. Free breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff. Highly recommended, would stay again. Only downside, no wireless in the rooms, have to plug in.
My husband and I visited Memphis, TN as a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the suite area and FULL kitchen with granite countertop. The couch was comfortable, and all appliances worked very well. The hotel's full breakfast was delicious, and the staff continued to bring out food when needed. The hotel was in the perfect location to walk a couple blocks to get to downtown, and the trolley was around the corner. The Concierge went out of his way to assist us with coordinating a bus tour and boat ride. Great city and a lot of history.
Fantastic Hotel for a long weekend in Memphis! Courteous, capable and very accomodating front desk and hotel staff. Arrived on a Thurs and really enjoyed the complimentary roof-top dinner-grilling; great food and drink! Rooms aren't aren't oversized but a sleep-sofa and a full modern/well-stocked kictchen are all very sufficient for 2 even 3 people; also very clean! Complimentary breakfasts are great; and an exercise room adds to the convenience. Moreover, the historical charm/architecture of the hotel is very nice and well preserved! Also helps that the hotel is less than a block from the street-car line! We're definitely returning to this hotel for our next extended weekend in Memphis!! This spot is Highly-Recommended!!!
i would go back there agin in a heart beat and i will next year--i an not say enough about the location--the trolley is right on the corner--beale street is only 4 blocks away-the staff was wonderful--could not help you enough--memphis is really an up and coming place to go--there is more than graceland to see--#1 zoo, mud island, shopping and it is so easy to get around with the trolly system--and don't forget the peabody ducks i would suggest the valet parking--it was just so easy having the car brought around when you needed it and not have to worry about parking we arrived on a thurs and that night the hotel had a free bbq on the rooftop complete with beer and wine, free breakfast every morning, free internet, the rooms had a kitchen --we loved the hotel
Very nice hotel with a great breakfast in the morning. Within walking distance of Beal St. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Very clean and comfortable.
We had an amazing stay! The room was clean, very big, and decorated nicely! The bed was soooo comfortable! Better than my own at home! It came dressed with so many pillows and a down comforter! And we also enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the morning, filled with coffee, juices, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage (and that's just part of it!)The kitchenette had granite countertops, nice dishes and appliances, and was stocked with coffee and popcorn. We travel with our dogs, and the hotel was very accomodating. The location is within a short walk of Beale St. and all of the action. There are many restaurants and a park within a short walk, as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would also stay there again. I hope this was helpful!
We stayed at the Residence Inn in Memphis, TN for three evenings in June 2009. The hotel is clean, in a great location, and the hotel staff was excellent. We felt like we knew some of the people that worked there after a day or so. They were always ready to handle a request or offer a dining suggestion. The room was clean and it was helpful to have a full kitchen in our room with complimentary high speed internet service. Valet service was reasonable at $16 per day. The trolly track is less than 1 block away and Beale Street is about four blocks away. We were able to walk effortlessly to Mud Island River Park and to the river boat cruises. Also, there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance. We definitely know where to stay on a return trip to Memphis.
Our room was great---full frig, dishwasher etc--- not that we used it. You are 3 blocks from Beale so you can walk everywhere. The breakfast is great and complete AND-- beer on tap for happy hour--free!
I've traveled alot and this hotel was by far the worst,do not go here, and if you do make sure you have all your belongings, because if you dont you will never see them again.
