Good location, good staff, good stay!
Rooms a little dated and there was a patio but the doors don't open so you can access it.
I did not like that I had to pay $30 for parking and I had to pay for out "complimentary" breakfast
Concierge staff very friendly. They greeted us on arrival and exit every day and provided us with a map and some suggestions about where to go for shopping and dining (although most suggestions required a taxi - which we ignored and took public transit instead). Free newspapers and even free small bottles of water. Excellent location close to Metromover station (Riverwalk) and dining and shopping areas. We were allowed to check-in before 3:00pm which was a blessing after our long morning of travel with no food and little sleep. I also liked the free wifi, it was decent. The food for the breakfast in the cafe was delicious and the serving staff were very friendly - but it's expensive. We only did that the first morning. I also liked the free boarding pass printing service provided.
For a quadruple room (with 4 guests) often not enough water glasses or towels were provided. We had to call housekeeping a few times to get extra glasses and towels. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. They needed to post the 'rules' about quiet hours in Spanish because a few times during the designated quiet hours there was loud talking/shouting in the hallway (in Spanish). On one occasion I also smelled cigarette smoke in the hallway near the elevators (9th floor). No fridge in the room, and only one chair. (Again, a strange set up for a room billed as "quadruple"). Gift shop staff was rude and only interested in texting on her phone. I was ignored when I walked into the shop. As a result I didn't buy anything. They charged us for the water bottles in the room that we never touched at check out. However when it was pointed out, they removed the charge immediately. For all these negatives please don't think badly of this place, it really was good and my family enjoyed themselves immensely in Miami.
Great location, the lobby is attached to a metromover station. The room was spacious and well kept.
The pool and fitness center are too small. When I saw the pool there were two individuals and the pool was crowded.
I arrived early and was able to get a room before the 3:00pm check-in time. I really appreciated that. The room service was very good. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast at the hotel River Café was excellent.!
It was very elegant and probably would have been a great stay if it wasn't started off on the wrong foot
That way it was very pushy and rude upon our arrival. They are forcing you to pay $40 for parking. We stayed less than 12 hours and that way it was very pushy and rude upon our arrival. They are forcing you to pay $40 for parking. had to walk a VERY long way to get a bag or anything we needed out of our car. The rudeness and additional costs around every corner were ridiculous. We will never be back.
Location , staff, decor, breakfast.
AC air exchange noisy in room 2132.
Great view, exclusive resort feel
No fridge in room
We were in Miami to attend a Miami Heat basketball game. The location was decent. It would have been better to stay on the water since we had to walk through a couple of seedy areas to get back to the hotel. The buffet breakfast was decent, a good selection that my teenage son appreciated. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly. The room had a good set up, 2 beds on one side of a dividing wall, and a big closet, bathroom and changing area on the other side. It made things easier to share the room with a teenage boy.
I asked for a quiet room. They put us next to the ice machine. So at 2 a.m., we were woken up to partiers getting ice. Before bed, we decided to watch a movie. They charged $18 per movie. We thought that was pretty high. We stored our items in the safe. We had problems opening it and had to get security up there. It took them a long time to come, requiring a second call. I've never before needed help with a room safe. We travel a lot. The concierge staff, who we consulted twice, was pretty provincial and didn't have any good suggestions though they tried to be helpful.
These guys are on top of everything. They make you feel welcomed, the rooms are incredibly clean, HDTV, etc. Great stuff! 10/10 want to only stay at Hyatt's for the rest of my life. Completely sold on the experience!
People next door partied until 6am but that's not the hotels fault. Not a big deal because I was in town for concerts so I understood.
room smells not good
Location was good--near transportation. Club level was nice.
food service was great
bathrooms clogged!! no privacy with mechanical issues
The location is awesome. The staff is really nice and helpful.
At some points, I felt that some of the staff were expecting to be payed some tips. I'm not against paying tips, but the feeling was that they wanted if all the time. This happens mostly with the people that handle your luggage. Overall, it was a great experience which I'm bound to repeat.
Hotel was nice. The staff was all very friendly Check in and check out was easy!
Parking was way too expensive Traffic at this corner was awful AND no refrigerator in the room!!
