The hotel Staff was excellent, The bathroom was nice ,but small,

Lovely location with beautiful views from points around the corner from our apartment.Swimming pool also in lovely setting, with a good number of deck chairs and a few loungers.Kitchen well-eqipped, with clean fridge/freezer, dishwasher, full stove and plenty of crockery, saucepans etc.Spacious sleeping/living area. Our terrace area had table and chairs, so it was possible to eat outside. This place was not designed as shared space: it only worked when the other guests were out! Noise from upstairs neighbours was dreadful and completely ruined our hope for a Sunday morning in a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately one set of upstairs occupants seemed to only communicate in raised voices, even right outside our door as they seemed to think it ok to walk across our private terrace rather than use the path. At times one of this party would practically push past as I sat at the table trying to enjoy an early morning breakfast in the Tuscan sunshine. The large window and doors which provided the only natural light did not have net/muslin curtain so we were unable to move from bed to bathroom in the morning without people looking in ( and they did )This is a real oversight as the room was full to bursting with ornaments of every kind ( ie.money spent on "decor")...would have traded a few dozen plates for a simple muslin to provide privacy at window.In the kitchen there was a coffee maker and toaster, but only one socket so impossible to use both at same time ie. to make breakfast. Again poor planning and design. Resident cats would eat food from table if left unattended for a moment and a roaming dog appeared in the kitchen...later it took a dip in the swimming pool, (witnessed after we had got out). Bearing in mind the long list of hygiene rules at poolside it was pretty disgusting to see this dog in the water. Near to pool another apartment decided to have a full bonfire on Sunday morning, filling place with acrid smoke...no one seemed to do anything about it. Booking details gave no information on how to find the place and our SatNav didn't work in Italy.

Food at dinner good as was the choice of cold food at breakfast. Staff at reception and restaurant very helpful. Nice size bedroom with balcony. Hot food at breakfast not very good, they had scrambled eggs and bacon each morning but did not look very appetising. Room cleaning not vey good, crisps on floor on day we arrived were still there 3 days later when we left. Bathroom had a musty smell, could do with redecorating the bathroom. Swimming pool not open, would be helpful if they gave a date it closed.

Old style Italian building and the overgrown gardens. Room had balcony overlooking River Arno. Pleasant and helpful staff. Shower enclosure very small.

Cappuccino. Staff was understanding. The rooms next to the street are noisy because of the late night bars and at this time of year you can't have AC in the rooms because one system works the entire building. If you are hot or uncomfortable you have to open a window which just lets the noise in. Street cleaners, and trash service comes by at 5am which is nuts! Breakfast was blah...Single room was a closet and horrible shower. Im in shape and didn't fit in the shower.

Excellent location. Walking distance to all the main attractions of Florence. Quiet neighborhood inside the busy town center. Room service expensive for what it was.

The hotel is very well located within few blocks to major attractions and "centro storico". Be careful with the shower in the restroom because it is a step down from the floor and you can easily fell down.

Hotel is conveniently located, stylish (Florentine style) and quiet. Room was spacious with lots of space for clothing, etc. Moldy fabric on walls; didn't know about comlimentary breakfast.

We arrived to a rude and dismissive front desk. They proceeded to tell us we couldn't stay in our room unless we paid 50 dollars more than what we paid with kayak. I said absolutely not. they said then we couldn't stay and they would still be charging us the full amount of the room. We left and did not stay there and now have to dispute these fraudulent charges with my credit card. Never stay here!!! Worst service ever!!!!

The hotel was clean and elegant. Rooms and facilities were spacious and the service was excellent. The breakfast and gym were top-notch. The dinner, although good, was not as good value for money as I would have liked. Additional recreational facilities (spa, pool, biliard table, other) would have been a bonus.

location was amazing. it is on piazza del republica, walking distance to almost everywhere. that the internet connection and breakfast were not free. i understand that hotels charge for breakfast but seriously which hotel in the world today still charges 20 euro per day for internet. internet is everywhere and it should be given to clients free.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is nice. I found the price to be excessive as compared to the hotel facilities and service--it is definitely a nice hotel but the price is overvalued. One issue that is very bothersome is the air conditioner turns off after a certain time during "winter" but it was very hot during our stay and they still had it turned off. They finally did turn it back on for a longer period of time, after we complained.
