The room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The window opened- unusual in modern hotels. The parking system was easy and secure.
The rooms are nice and the whole building is well designed. The employees could deliver more service towards clients.
Modern and comfortable with good facilities 10 minute walk from the Palace of Versailles. Good location if you want to see Versailles, but long ride on the train from Paris.
We found the staff very helpfull. The asscess from the garage was very difficult, The garage.
It was clean, comfortable, close to Chateau and domain of Versailles, quaiet, good parking, very nice staff.
Clean and comfortable Novotel, as ever
The location - good for The Palace (15 min walk) yet far enough away for peace & quiet. Good car parking Bar was quiet and often un-manned.
a good position for touring and visiting the chateau provided you are prepared for a 20 minute walk restaurant was good but with a limited menu
Style and decor, nice bar, nice breakfast, very clean. One member of staff was a little dismissive, others were fine.
Restaurant was good and people were friendly. Garage parking was difficult. Hotel advertised as air conditioned, but it is on a hotel-wide basis and cannot be controlled in the room. Our room was too warm and we were unable to cool it off. Also, the Mapquest directions to the hotel were incorrect. We drove around for at least an hour trying to find it, and it was very conveniently located for visiting Versailles.
Friendly and helpful staff small room
Breakfast was excellent The room was tiny for three people - barely enough space to turn around.
location Although kettle facility was provided (base) the actual kettle was missing. The staff seemed unable to provide a replacement. Hot water was provided in lieu of the kettle
Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff
The location, very quiet. Not very clean, bedsheets stained, old and noisy air condition
Staff welcoming, hotel clean and tidy and restraunt meal was excellent
Windows were open 1cm and nailed there! the room was on a main road where the noise did not abate and we couldn't close the windows!
Nothing I found the staff to be extremely rude, the linen in the room smelt disgusting even after changing the linen it was still terrible, my pre-arrange tax service was always late causing us to almost miss our cruise dinner, my wake up call from the hotel was 30mins late, the food menu was terrible and the food was not great either & i would never reccommend this hotel to anyone.
Perfect for short familly trip.
It was good None
restaurant portions were very small for the cost. i think the neuvo quisine approach should be abandoned and larger portions offered.
The staff very friendly and the free internet in the room.
Kind hotel Staff, very good, wifi, a nice large clean room, well designed working desk. The location of Hotel is perfect for my purpose(business). It is an expensive hotel but you've got what you paid for, and I think with the same price you get a lot smaller room in the center of Paris usually.I also like the fact that they have smoking room as smokers tend to be discriminated more and more (and at the same time no smell of cigarette at all in the another area The water tmperature of bath and shower is set on 38 degree which wasn't hot enough for me and it can be colder but not hotter. Also the room temprature wasn't warm enough for me to work at night although it may be a good temperture to sleep. I tend to feel cold so for the most of people it would be ok, but I'd prefer to be able to make it warmer(there is a controller but I couldn't make it warmer at night time)
Clean, comfortable. We hear the sound of lift from our bed room all the time as it located next our room.
While I only stayed 1 night, I found all of the staff very friendly and helpful I would reccommend the hotel to other business travellers No
good size balcony, free use of mini bar fridge, big coffee cups, seperate toilet/bathroom, cordless kettle
the hotel is modern and confortable; the staff very kind , helpful and efficient
Excellent check in staff and they were quick to resolve the issues concerning the 3rd bed in the room. Parking was affordable and easy, and the hotel is wonderfully near a metro station. Breakfast was a bit pricey but there are cafe Rooms are small for 3 beds but probably larger than most Paris hotels of this price. The extra bed initially provided was inadequate but quickly replaced.
Incredibly friendly & efficient staff, helpful with directions and local knowledge No bad points
The hotel is very convenient for the event we were attending at Longchamp. Staff at reception are very helpful and all have good English. Rooms are clean and airy.
Friendly stuff, nice hotel in general. At the beggining we were given room 407 with mold and a smell of it. But friendly stuff changed it for us for a clean one.
A very nice and comfortable hotel in the Paris Boulogne area. It was quiet and great for a good nights rest.
Hotel was convenient for a festival we attended. Room very comfortable and plenty of space for a Parisian hotel (albeit non-central). Area quiet, parking on streets nearby a real plus.
Easy access to public transportation, shopping mall and restaurants. Location far from touristic objects.
The staff attention and personal willingness to help was great No wifi service
This is an excellent hotel and one of the best hotels in Paris I have lived in. The location is good and is just a few stops away from all the attractions. Breakfast is fantastic !
Strategic location in the business district, spacious room, complementary beakfast In-room facility for phone call, internet access & pay TV could be cheaper.
The room was so commodious, and clean at the first day. I stayed 2 nights. On the 2nd day, I was so surprised to notice the bad room cleaning service. Hairs left on the floor, used rumpled bathrobe left on the floor in the bathroom, and used tablecloth was on the table. I smirched a slipper on accidentally, on the 2nd day, just one slipper was left instead of a pair of slippers. I think it was because I forgot to put tips because I was in a hurry. But basically, tips are for good service, should not be reasons for bad service. Moreover, I run out facial papers, so I asked for one to the room cleaning clerk on my way to room from restaurant. She answered, "No, this is for other room, I bring one to your room". But she never bring it until the time of checkout. So miserable experiences.
well appointed, staff very professional very hard to find during the building work, not signposted. I emerged late evening from La Defense Metro, Hilton is signposted on hoardings of the buiding work, but the signs direct you to a gate which is locked and chained. I walked around for some time before I discovered the entrance
It was my 20th birthday, The staff was excelent, really good comfort, staff took care of us, everything was lovely!!! No!!!
Convenient location for our requirements Dislike is probably too strong a word, but an observation on service was that the hotel was under staffed in the bar/restaurant on the Sunday evening - had to wait 20 minutes before bar service received. This is not an issue about the people who were working, they were very pleasant, just not enough of them.
Located in La defense - 15 mins by metro to centre of Paris. Good shopping around hotel. Clean and well sized room, good staff.
excellent location at paris...or maybe the best location parking the car is really not organized and very hard to find
My overal experience was outstanding. We were treated with such kindness and respect and everyone went our of their way to help us with our questions and needs. The room was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. I especially loved that the hotel accomodiated my request to have an adjoining room with my colleague. The location was perfect as well. We found transportation easy to reach with the bus across the street and the metro just a 5 minute or so walk. It was close to restaurants, banks, and convienient shopping. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. It would have been nice to be closer to the center of Paris, but the metro and bus took us their quickly and for less than 2 Euro.
You can reach la defense with taking rer trains. Better to look a hotel in downtown.
The staff were polite and attentive. The hotel was in an excellent location that made trips into Paris and the surrounding towns, via RER, very easy. The restaurants in Rueil 2000 were within easy walking distance and offered good service at reasonable prices. No.
the tranquility. perfect english language of the front desk staff. Proximity to the train station was a big advantage. didnt have to use the taxi room service lack of english language and have to pass info thru the front office desk
Bed, TV, Internet Breakfast was extra to pay and not that good....
location - cleanliness
Fast, free wireless internet. Delicious breakfast, good restaurant. Fitness center. Less than 5 min from train station. Safe area with many good nearby restaurants.
Breakfast The complaint is rather about the service between booking.com and the hotel: 2 hours later, the hotel still did not know about my booking ! And when I wanted to modify the booking from 2 days to 1 day, booking.com gave the not so funny answer that the hotel had no available room !!!
reduced price for week end, nice place near RER
Lovely room and view Very expensive, €16 for a poor continental breakfast.
Wireless broadband internet. Spacious rooms. Ambiance and fabulous view over the city. Too few free power outlets in the room. The quality of the restaurant is good but prices are relatively high.
the lovely views, the helpful and courteous staff, and great food and stylish comfortable rooms.
Calm. Decoration. History (birthplace of Louis XIV). Restaurant closed in August
The fantastic view, both from our room and from the restaurant. The spacious room accomodations and excellent quality of both the Dinner and the Service. The only slight criticism would be the floor tiling in the bath room could stand to be updated/renewed.
the view to Paris and the town of St Germain a little outworn
I spent one night at the hotel before going in the morning to airport. I had dinner at the hotel Hotel need some renovation
The location is superb with open views over Paris, the Seine and a short journey to town, especially La Defense business district. Needs an upgrade of facilities. Problems with the door, internet access and plastic sheeting which had to be taken off the bed.
St. Germain en Laye is a stunning town on the outskirts of Paris. Pavillion Henri IV is a stunning historic palais, with marbled entry way, a five star restaurant, and an outside deck overlooking paris. The sense of elegance steeped in history is worth the visit. When you order a cab for the airport, specify a taxi, not a limo. I ended up with a 90 euro drive to the airport!
surroundings, view, spacious rooms, parking limited service (lobby, terrace)
via booking.com we had a good deal, so we could enjoy the really clean rooms and spa. its a nice area as well, not to far away from the train. Well the bar prices etc;;all what you can not buy via booking.com is quite expensive
comfortable and spacious facilities . Nice view of the river and. location more fit as business hotel. alot of goog intensions without the final touch. Big shower heads with not enough water pressure. Automatic lights in rooms don't always shut or turn on when you need them to. Request for extra blanket or pillow were turned down.
Spa, room equipment, lounge
The location, near Paris, is great. Within 10 minutes you are in Paris. I stay at this hotel every 2 or 4 weeks when i come from Holland by car. I took this hotel because of the value for money but after 5 months things are not the same as in the beginning. For example, every weekend they shut down the hot water and then tell you that 'you are the only one' - When you call back later (new shift started) the other person tells you that the entire building is using the exact same pipes. After 3 times without hot water in the weekend and the way the personal acts when we ask them about it i doubt that i will be coming back any time soon.
The room was always clean neat and a pleasure to be in. With each room you have a large balcony with french doors. The room could be made as dark as night or filled with natural light. The automatic lights worked well for me. The lights of the room only work while your key is in the slot holder. The bed was a queen size bed with plenty of comfoters and pillows, you have your own control for the temp in the room. The bathroom is the shower and tub combo, the tub is a large tall tub, very nice to soak in. shower head and a detachable hand held also. Also with a large sink blow dryer and heated towel rack which helps heat up the bathroom. Hotel has gated entry located by the river&park in a nice area. The indoor pool, hot tubs were beautiful. I thought the breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, you can stop at a pasterie shop for some fresh products at a much resonable cost.
The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was nice though a bit rich. The Spa and swimming pool facilities were perfect and very relaxing. The rooms are compact with everything one would expect in a French 3 stars hotel. The restaurant menu was a bit restricted in its choices, one would struggle to eat there everyday for more than 2 days without re-ordering the same dish. While a spa, the restaurant clearly focuses on heavy and rich traditional french cuisine wih no "healthy" choices.
Asbolutely Fabulous!!! Beautiful Location - great amenities and fantastic rooms - could not fault it. Nothing.
We stayed at this hotel in May and foound the rooms to be comfortable and modern+ the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Additional spa/recreation facilitiesa are a bonus that our children particularly enjoyed Laundry had a peculiar odour
Superb location just outside Paris yet very convenient to get there quickly.Breakfasts very good and the surroundings were a really nice park area next to the Seine.
Free Parking, Very Calm Hotel, about 15 mins walking to the train station (RER A), Very nice big room, very nice swimming pool and jacuzi, to be honest i just choose this hotel becuase of its location near to my training course centre there but am amazed of what i've seen. its not in a shopping area so that you have to take the train to any shopping area and its not that far.
A good location near Paris and relatively easy to get to the city centre. The availability of secure parking (at cost) was appreciated and the general standard of the room was what I have come to expect from a Novotel.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable and close to amenities with a good choice for breakfast. We booked to be close to the race course which was a short easy walk away. Paris was easy to access. The evening menu was not very appealing.
The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Very close to the La Defense business area of Paris.
clean room, nice breakfast, quite place personnel do not speak english (unacceptable), 45 minutes away from the center
friendly staff. Room was not 100% clean, interior (elevators not spotless) a bit worn out. Not enough value for money
Reception service was excellent, very professionla and helpful. The room was very clean and good sized.
Location was not as good as promised. Connection to Paris slow.
Close to the center. Close to the railway station. Rooms are small, the hotel is old and the furniture is basic. Shower cabin and shower was broken
The hotel was very friendly. It's location is good and there are plenty of nice restaurants/bars about the suresnes area. The hotel is not near to a metro station. You have a bit of a walk to the tram (belvedere) and then change at la defense for the metro
good thing is the location. The rooms itself are spacious but the bed and bathroom are IBIS like quality. I do not regard them as Novotel Quality. Still I choose the hotel because it is very close to a client of mine. At its full price of 200 eur the hotel is definetly overpriced in my book. At its rate of 139 (with no cancellation) it is fair.
the location for the company am visiting , security and room size the staff , the air condition was not working and when we open the window the mosquitoes attacks us , the toilet was small
I real loved the room, it is very large and very well equipped, I also liked the food corner where you can buy some food to eat at your room, it is a bit expensive though, but for a late night bite in is perfect, and you can take it up stairs and heat it in the microwave and you have your hot meal. I just wish they had more English speaking tv channels, at the moment they only have skynews
Large rooms (above Paris std) Too expensive for the quality, strange breakfast formula
very overpriced for a fairly basic hotel - especially compared to similar priced hotels nearby
It was close to the festival site which made the event even more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Clean, Good location, Bathroom, Bar, Breakfast, Lobby area.
Friendly and helpful staff Breakfast price was high for what was on offer
Clean, comfortable, modern, close to Metro, restaurants and shops. Some staff need to be a little less rude and agro. Some extra english language channels on TV would. Wine glasses and a corkscrew in the room would be good - you are in France after all and a glass of wine or two is mandatory. Room service was a little flaky (breakfast included croissants and pastries on day one and dry, stale bread by day four for the same order).
great food small, old rooms twin beds renovation going on (paint fumes, dust, etc.)
Good hotel for business. Metro not to far but long way from City centre and train station. Additional charge for Internet and extra for VPN capability, in this day and age Internet should be included at no extra charge.
A good, clean hotel with friendly staff at a good location
Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area of Paris yet has a number of restaurants nearby and train and Metro services are a short walk away. A number of local bars and restaurants unfortunately close for the weekend.
after reading 1 poor review I was apprehensive but need not have worried as I could not fault the staff or the hotel or the breakfasts. All were excellent. The friendly efficient staff in all departments.
I did not like the fact that they charge the credit card immediately upon booking which was totally wrong in spite of their conditions. I did not like the fact that they do not allocate rooms as per your requirements but as you arrive so we ended up having a smoking room when I had required a non-smoking. For the price we paid we had more facilities in other hotels than the Mercure.
cleaning the rooms only the rooms is very small specailly for triple room and the price is not good also the hotel location is in no facility area and one of the staff was very nervous and didn;t cooperate in any thing with us
There was a sunday mess downstairs and we couldn't sleep at all. Lost christians were singing something strange. Did God ask them to sing? Was Prophet (!!!) Jesus singing? Completely lost religion
Not bad for the price, very helpful No complaints
the bed was big. Lack of bar, restaurant was like eating in a kitchen with flourecent lights everywhere.. very cold atmosphere so i didn't bother. Wireless (bearing in mind I travel constantly using wifi) was totally frustrating.. gettting a connection and IP address to assign to 2 of my devices was near on impossible. No fault with my kit either.
Inexpensive, free parking, convenient for rer across the park, clean, quiet, I wasn't looking for luxury
Very nice staff. Clean room Not very close to the center of paris but very easy acces with bus and metro.
Service Rooms a bit dirty. Mildew on bathroom walls
The hotel is in a good location, and although it has somewhat outdated decoration the room was clean and represented great value for money.
Quiet suburban location without being too far away from the city centre.Bus stop in front of hotel. Not cheap but reasonable for a similar class hotel.Generally clean and safe. Outside of Paris metro zone 1-2.No direct metro line.
People on reception desk were friendly Noisy, scruffy, and unbelievably expensive for what you get
Spacious room, quick breakfast, good sleep. Shortage of coffee/suger/milk for tea making facility.
Close to a park to do some jogging.
The Staff and room were good. The Restaurant is not up to the usual standard I have enjoyed in Mercure Hotels.
Very close proximity to the Arche de Defense where it was a 10 minute walk to the exhibition I was attending Rather restrictive restaurant and bar hours
The reception and the staff for breakfast were all lovely, and very helpful and patient as i don't speak French, but they were able to help with information and details about the city. I did find an earwig in my room on the first night.
Location and Cleanliness of the hotel NOthing
Location: Within 2 minute walk from the hotel, you have 1) A RER station providing easy access to Paris attractions 2) A Supermarket 3) A good Turkish restaurant offering Halal food. The apt had 2 rooms with 2 double beds which was good enough for a family of 2 A and 2 C. For transfer from CDG to the hotel, we hired two nos. 7 seater coaches (our group was of 14 members) for 170 euros. The reception was very helpful in booking disney tkts, tours, providing luggage room etc. Highly recommended. No assistance to shift luggage between the two parts of the hotel
The area is not very welcoming particularly in the evening
It was quite easy to get into Paris from the hotel. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you to La Defense. Free parking was also nice. Stayed during two business weeks, two different hotel rooms. First week: Non-smoking room reeked of smoke upon arrival. Second week: After asking the staff twice to look at the heat in my room (over period of 48 hours) they informed me the heat was not working in my room. Extremely furstrated, but they moved me to a room with working heat.
Quiet rooms with more space than expected, safe and free of charge parking. Direct connectable rooms for families.
Helpful, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast
The restaurant, attitude of staff, car parking facility The hotel is old fashioned and tired. Needs refurbishmenet
the reception staff were very helpful when i asked a question i did not like the price we had to pay for our evening buffet, especially as we had to pay the full adult price (25 euros) for our 8 year old son!
Excellent breakfast included in hotel charges Not free Wi-Fi internet access but for additional charges
The bathroom was very very clean and the service from the front desk was excellent. They were very nice and accomodating. The carpet looked as if it needed to be replaced. The rooms were a bit smaller than proposed. However, they were a comfortable size in comparison to other hotels in Paris. The food was just ok could have been better but it was still ok.
The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast was good. The price of the breakfast is a bit too high. The location is a bit out of town. Taxis cost a fortune.
Small, but fully satisfactory fitness studio, good comprehensive breakfast Windows cannot be opened fully to get enough fresh air from the outside, rather cold room - heater inefficient
Breakfast, parking for free, safe and in the same hotel. Not much to do around the hotel. Always need of public/own transport. Most people was helpful but some of them seem to be permanently cranky. Sometimes you felt like I was doing something wrong by asking something like paying in advance my room...
cleanliness, calm, environment not an hotel actually: it's a senior residency for elderly people which proposes a few rooms for visitors from the outside
the only thing was fresh air and sorrounding nature (forest etc...) lack of electric cordless kettle in the room, shared showers, lack of pub/bar to get a drink in the evening or to eat some dinner, non-european type of breakfest, only jam, coffee, tea typical French way, no meat, nothing warm like sausages/hot dogs/mashed eggs ...., no wi-fi coverage in my room (3rd floor)
Very nice coutry side and former royal residence. Well kept. If you like a military life, this a hotel for you. Nice rooms with nests of insects, no reception with hall, no lobby bar, restaurant open ONLY for reservation 10 hours before (!!!), the gate closes at 9 PM, you can get in with a code but the car remains outside in the woods. Have nice stay there....
This was great value for money don't worry about the shared shower it is facing the rooms very spacious and claen and saves you a bit of cash would highly recommmend. hotel is in a fantastic setting.
Excellent location with stunning views and good location for Paris and of course St Germain en laye. Good forest walks too Lack of service, run more on military lines, possibly just teething problems having been a retirement home. At breakfast we were left on our own with no-one in sight unless they were clearing tables at 9.30am sharpe. Would not recommend dinner at the hotel.
Rooms very clean, personnell very friendly, restaurant very good Very difficult to find, GPS coordinates on booking.com incorrect. IN fact the castel has been split up in 3 parts: 1 part is a home for the elderly, 1 part is for personal use and the third part is the hotel!! The neighborhood is a bit scary.
