Continental Breakfast quite expensive

The location was very central , very convenient to the railway station , and the frequent tram service . great for a short city break

Montpellier is a very fascinating city and Newhotel du Midi with his amazing location just on Place de la Comedie is the perfect place if you want to discover the city center.

In the bathroom there weren't either windows or air condition.

The rooms were excellent and the location perfect for a city break. Staff were extremely helpful.

We were given 3 rooms before they found one that was clean and ready. We needed to be near the airport and it was a long way from both the airoport and down town,

the breakfast was good, but the hotel is really expensive for the quality of the room.

The position of the hotel is just fantastic for a city break.

I felt the rooms were small for the price, and the toilet was not as clean as I would have liked. The shower head had no holder on the wall.

The room was spacious and I enjoyed the bathtub.

There was no shower curtain for showering which meant water landed everywhere. Also no real aeration in the bathroom meaning water vapour ended up in the bedroom and water was still on the bathroom floor overnight. This probably explained the smell of dampness in the room upon arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We felt we got very good value for money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with flat screen TV and 3 complimentary drinks (still water, sparkling water & orange juice) in the minibar which was a nice touch. We took our hotel towels to the pool one morning & they had been replaced when we got back to the room no hassle. The pool area is small but very pleasant for relaxing for a few hours. It was quiet during the afternoon but was busy in the morn & eve so important to get down early to get a sun lounger. One of the great things about the hotel is the free parking which is a great saving in France.

As in all the hotels in France breakfast is expensive so we didn't avail of it but if you have a car there is a carrefour supermarket just 5 mins drive up the road. The hotel is a 12 min drive approx from the city centre so too far for walking really. It didn't bother us as we had a car but there is a tram stop near the hotel.

Location excellent, 10min walk into centre or short tram ride. Good sized accomodation (suite), quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Would certainly return.

We stayed here for four nights and It was always difficult to find anyone on duty in the bar. Also the selection of drinks available was very poor for the standard of hotel.

Some traffic noise if you leave the window open. Make sure you get a top floor room to avoid this.

Convenient for the airport and provided the necessary facilities for an overnight or short stay. We had a single night there and it met our requirements, the staff were friendly and helpful. Dining in the restaurant was reasonably priced and the quality good, breakfast was basic but acceptable.

Near to motorway,very good value with helpfull staff. Excellent for stopover.

It was located in the old town and was close to everything.

The room was extremely small. So small there was no room for our bags and they had to go on the floor at the foot of the bed with a small patch for walking past.

The staff were so nice and helpfull. Although a little out of the town centre a tram service passes in the adjacent road connecting to the railway station

This hotel is lovely! Really don't know where all the negatives come from. Staff were helpful and friendly, and dinner in the restaurant was exceptional! Would definitely stay there again. I should imagine in summer it would be even nicer.

A good centre from which to explore Montpellier. Pleasant surroundings, pareticularly pool and aviary.

Breakfast too pricey for what you get. Restaurant good but somewhat lacking in choice.

It was in between cities, so it really wasn't a stay I would usually do. All we needed was a bed. So it was adequate.

The staff was very helpful and this hotel is in a great location.

This hotel is in a perfect location for Montpellier. It is right by the City Center and in walking distance of most things in the area. The staff was incredibly helpful. I stored my baggage and my friends baggage there during the day and there was no problem. The room was cute, clean and had everything I needed. I had a wonderful experience.

lovely, well furnished room overlooking exotic garden and tabled area of bamboo, vines and other well established greenery. an interesting building with charm and historic appeal. we arrived late, let the staff know we were delayed and were given entry code and a taxi number should we need it - as it happened we were by then quite close to the hotel - and the key left in our door when we finally arrived - for which we were very grateful to their consideration and support. would definitely book again.

The good side of the hotel is that you can pick up your keys in automatic machine in front of the entrance and that there are no problems in finding a car park.

The hotel is situated in the outskirts of Montpellier with no places of interest in walking distance. The rooms are very small and so are the bathrooms. The window can only be opened completely or closed which means that if you have a room at the ground floor you have to keep the window closed all night for fear of theft. In my opinion this hotel is too expensive for the very basic quality it offers.
