The room was spacious with a lovely view, the pool/jacuzi were lovely. We ate dinner on the first night which was very nice and quite reasonable. The bathroom/shower was tiny and in need of an update would have been nice if the modern contempory shower/wash area was the same in the rooms for what we paid. Also the service at dinner was extremely slow only one girl for approx 15 covers, we waited at least half an hour before we could order even a drink
friendly staff, very warm! good facilities and storage a bit noisy at times
Nice and comfortable, good food at restaurant. Facilities are nothing extraordinary but OK value for money. 50 min away from Chamonix by highway Breakfast is expensive (12 Euros) considering the choice. Bathroom had no door and shower was by the sink so it was a big wet mess at times. Old table with rusty nails in spa, danger for kids
Our room was charming and well appointed, with lovely mountain views from the balcony. The menu du jour was good value and excellent quality, delivered with friendly service. We also enjoyed swimming in the indoor / outdoor pool, surrounded by some great views. The only issue we had was that we found the bed rather soft for our taste.
The staff were great and we also used the pool. I liked the balcony with the room. The beds were not that comfortable!
Good coffee and breakfast, but expensive. Bedroom and ensuite incredibly small. No sound proofing between rooms and very noisy throughout the night.
The staff were attentive whilst remaining discrete. Room was charming with great views.
lovely hotel very bad restaurant
Friendliness of the owners
nothing stands out as great but a reasonable hotel and no complaints. bit dated and not a cheap alternative but satisfactory. pool and jacuzzi was a bonus and area is nice with a sports complex less than half a mile away. everything was fine but nothing stood out
The pool was excelent and thE rooms also excelent... And frindly staff thumbs up fromberg us ... The children play area was a bit small and not really intertaining ... Tøj have grate mtb (vtt) tracks just behind the hotel but staff dis not know any thing about this i had to find out my self ... Hotel information and signpositing at location made not easy to find ...
Excellent facilities, ski in apartments, very well appointed with added benefit of gym, jacuzzi outdoor pool (warm and usable in January). Courtesy bus available for going to and from town Steam Room was out of order
Fantastic hotel with everything you want. Clean and nice but a little bit small flat. The surroundings are beautiful but Flaine is a place without permanent living, just for turists.
Good facilities; well equipped apartment; clean; friendly staff. When I booked the hotel I could not see the possibility of our apartment facing the rear (no valley view, only rock), so we were disappointed when we realised that that was the case. The staff upgraded our apartment to facing the valley for a reasonable extra payment. Some restaurants mentioned by the hotel to be open during summer season were closed. Supermarket prices are high, but there is a good bakery and butcher.
Our stay at this resort was wonderfull. Services are very good, the rooms are very clean and confortable.
Clean and well run hotel , excellent views of the mountains and extremely relaxing, the gym has one of the best views i have ever seen whilst working out. Quite a long trip up the mountains, some construction near the hotel but no major noise issues, no microwave facility and no shops within walking distance.
Great place to stay for ski convenience.
Fantastic apartment, spacious, clean and well equipped and great view.Lovely facilities wiht or without kids.
The Room ( apartment) and the hotel were excellent, spacious. Wireless internet didn't work in the room. Rather isolated from restaurants etc.
Go up (with the cable) and hike with view of Mont Blanc; better than Fuji! The hotel has a nice pool and gym. Staff is friendly. Difficult to find with GPS; it is the first big building after starting to descend in the valley. The valley itself is ruined for hiking in favor of skiing. Wifi in the room was extremely slow and hard to connect to.
great staff, fantastic facilities. very warm summer nights, no fans to help keep the room cool.
We were very impressed with the restaurant manager, Tierry, who looked after us so well during our stay and the food was excellent. The hotel is very conveniently placed for skiing and has a comfortable lounge area with views of the slopes.
Very clean and excellent location Could really have done with a fridge. One suplied at l'ours blanc. Breakfast should have been included in already expensive rate.
It was very charming and a great deal. Both the meals and the rooms were fairly basic, and better than expected. The location was excellent (around the back for ski rental, and another 25 yards to the ski lift).
Friendly staff, great atmonsphere, good food, beautiful location, comfortable rooms - all in all a brilliant hotel.
A very welcoming hotel. breakfast excellent dinner -excellent for the price.Although not luxurious it was clean and homely and the staff were very efficient and nice.Fairly close to the pistes, and situated on the main street close to all the bars etc. Also my son enjoyed the pool and hot tubs after his day skiing. Excellent thouroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely food the pillows
helpfulness of the staff and location The facilities felt very tired. Lumpy pillows worn and frayed towels
The staff were very pleasant and the food was good The fabrics and decor should be refressed, however, it is a budget Hotel and was good in that regard.
nice freindly staff it is in need of up dating quite desperately
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Close to the village centre and more importantly an easy walk to the ski lifts.
This has been the best hotel experience in the last few years. And we've stayed at quite a few. Everything was absolutely perfect for our purpose (ski holiday in the Grand Massif area). Hotel staff was great in making us comfortable as if at home, amongst family members. Food was really gourmet and the room was spotless.
Traditional mountain hotel. Clean and comfortable. Appeared to have good facilities although we didn't have time to make use of them. Conveniently located, walking distance to the town centre.
Excellent welcome and friendly service. Very good facilities.
Indoor and Outdoor pools. Staff. It is a bit of a walk to the village centre
We received a very warm welcome and the staff were always keen to please. THe owners are lovely and hosted a fondue evening with music which was great fun. THe hotel was well managed.
Friendly staff; family atmosphere; nice dining room Bathroom needs to be redone
Great location. Very friendly staff. Leisure facilities great - was good that access to sauna/jacuzzi etc was restricted to adults.
good atmosphere, plenty of food friendly staff poor bathroom for such a good hotel needs updating
Very friendly staff, nice countryside, nice rooms, nice breakfast.
The Neige et Roc at Samoens was an outstanding hotel with exceptional food, great staff, good location for ski bus and a friendly atmosphere. None!
The food was lovely at dinner. The breakfastcontained no cooked / hot food, just continental style. No cups or cutlery at breakfast, the object seemed to be to prevent one getting enough to eat. The staff were a little surly and abrupt. No effort was made to translate menu's or to understand us when we tried to order at the bar or in the restaurant. The pool and spa are good but the whole hotel, whilst being quite near the centre is on a hill so steep that people ski down it, it is covered in ice and almost impossible to scale on foot. We had to change hotel mid-week due to this inaccessability. This should be made clear on web-sites. We had to pay again for a central hotel as we were not made aware.
The service and attention to detail provided by all the hotel staff throughout our stay was absolutely brilliant. They went to a lot of trouble altering menu options to suit my daughter's vegetarian needs. No. We thought every aspect was superb!
This is such a cosy hotel and so convenient for the centre of Les Gets. The rooms are well appointed, extremely comfortable and the service is excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent cuztomer searvice. very aaccomodating re arricval times and breakfast
Staff very helpful, husband who is a plain eater did not like the choices set on the dinner menu cooked an alternative. Excellent value for money. Room on 2nd floor was dark. No holder for shower head and no screen or curtain.
Wonderful ambience and firsr class food. Excellent lounge facilities and pool area.
The meals were very good, the fact that we were not actually staying in the hotel but in another building next door meant that we had to get our coats and shoes on each time we wanted to go for a meal. Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and were very attentive. There were several times when no one was on reception. Was hoping for a swim and relax in the jacuzzi after skiing but the water was too cold, I used these facilities once during the week which was a shame as this is why I booked this hotel.
The staff were very friendly. Overall we had a great time.
The hotel was very well maintained and the owners took pride in their hotel
Welcoming and comfortable hotel. Nice atmosphere!
Hotel staff always pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast was nice. Very child friendly.
The staff were lovely. The setting is fantastic and the pool and sauna was a great relaxer after the skiing. The breakfast could be improved - more choice e.g more cereals, more fruit like bananas, sausages, more fruit juice choice.
Excellent facilities for keeping ski equipment. Close to the bottom of the slopes. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Exactly what you would expect from an Alpine resort hotel. No coffee making facilities in the room.
The room (in a complex of ski lodges) was lovely and exceptionally, clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is right at the end of a long steep road at the foot of a piste, which would allow you to ski down to it in the winter, but makes it a long walk into town in the summer. The restaurant looked lovely, but the prices were too high to make it an option and 20 euros for breakfast meant that we didn't use it at all. Which was a shame as it looked really nice.
Location was superb for skiing - couldn't be closer to the piste. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, charming and very well appointed Restaurant was very expensive for evening meal and breakfast.
Excellent proximity to the slopes
Location. Room. Cleanliness. Free Wifi & flat screen tv in room Stayed Half board but had no menu choice although when we heard that the meal for the following evening was seafood which we do not like we were given an alternative.
Well equipped room and hotel - appeared well kept and clean
Excellent location for mountain biking really central and Les Gets is a really nice resort. No shower curtain so every time you had a shower you would flood the bathroom and the bathroom could have been cleaner, so nasty looking hairs on the floor. The receptionist was a bit miserable.
Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful; The food was good and the hotel very clean. The use of computers for guests was great.
Simple, compact clean rooms. Ample parking. Central location.
Great location, super friendly staff, well presented accommodation Curtains too thin, could do with lining,
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. 150 yards from the ski lift
Ideal location for the centre of town, Very clean appartments and all the facilites needed in apartment for a cheap break .
First class service by an experienced and friendly family group
Very friendly staff and rooms are excellent value. Plenty of parking and skiing only 15 minutes drive up the mountain. A convenient base avoiding resort hotel prices Food & drink is quite expensive
The owner was just a real gentlemen - superb
We booked 2 night at the Chalet through Booking.com and unfortunately when we got there the manager explained that there is only one night available
Pleasant reception, comfortable, clean room where everything worked. Very good food. As it is on main autoroute can be noisy but is well soundproofed
No food available on Sunday evenings Locked from door compromises access to the main building from Chalets in the grounds
Charming hosts; relaxed atmosphere; excellent food. a very covenient location to visit more than one centre and for skiing in nearby resorts. Road is busy but not disturbing in the rooms
The staff was perfectly helpfull, the hotel looks quite new, good value for money, there is a nice food in the hotel's restaurant It was not a big problem for me but the hotel is situated next to two roads so it is not very quiet
Not a very welcoming atmosphere,
We booked a double room with twin beds but they could accomodate a triple room with queen size bed without price supplement.Decoration simple, not typical, but acceptable. We could check out at 11am. The rooms are noisy. The matress was too soft and we couldn't sleep well. The cleaning was too early the day after (sunday) around 9am. Breakfast was closed at 9am.It's a claissical old fashion hotel and the overall deco doesn't evoke a mountain hotel.
The hotel is located in the centre of Samoens village, convenient to shops and restaurants. The quad room was perfect, as the mezzanine created what was virtually a separate room for the children. We also enjoyed both the swimming pools. Sound proofing at mezzanine level was not good. The double bed was very uncomfortable.
it was a nice hotel and we had a great weekend. however sadly we found the staff and in particular the manageress rude and unhelpful.
Very good. At all details. Good for families and good to stay. Everything was fine.
Central to town. Convenient to shops and few restaurants (booking was essential if you wanted to eat in hotel or out in town, though). Considering the money paid for the room (130 euros per night), the room was gloomy, extremely small and very basic. No meals were included in the price and when we did ask to eat in the Dining Room there were no vacancies. Information signage was very poor. Poor car parking. The small town was unable to service the need during the week (Feb half-term holiday) due to over commercialization with short-stay apartments. Whilst there was a ski bus provided, there was no information in the hotel where to catch it from. As a ski resort, the lift system was poorly thought out with only one small gondola lift up from the village. Runs very crowded and at times dangerous. I would not go to this resort again even though it was a pretty alpine village
Great location & very comfortable beds so for us, using this as a stop over it was ideal. Close to some cracking restaurants and just across from a reasonably priced bar. Parking available directly in front of the hotel too. One of the reasons we booked this as a stop over was that, after 10hrs of driving we were looking forward to using the spa facilities. Despite being advertised as open until 9pm we found it closed at 7pm and were met with shrugs & grunts as to why this was the case. We didn't eat at the hotel and chose somewhere else for drinks too as the bar was terrifyingly expensive. Despite these niggles the beds were supremely comfortable and if you can get a duplex room sleeping four then its great value.
Peaceful and quiet hotel that can be recommended for people willing to escape crowded holiday places and enjoy picteresque mountain view. Great swimming pool. The hotel is in the very centre of Samoens but a little bit difficult to find.
