With a stay at San Antonio Guest House in Munxar, you'll be by the sea, within a 10-minute drive of Ggantija Temple and Sanap Cliffs. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a ferry terminal shuttle.
Pros: San Antonio is a charming spacy place with stylish decoration bringing to mind Spanish flavour. Hosts are extremely nice and helpful, although guesthouse is a decent size property there's a lot of homely feel about it. Fully equipped rooms with en-suite bathrooms and loggias plus shared kitchen corner are all you may need. San Antonio is located a few minutes' walk from the bus stop, ten minutes from Xlendi centre with a plethora of restaurants and maybe twenty minutes from the amazing hard sand cliffs.
Cons: Upon arrival I though five nights' stay might be a bit too long and get boring. On the last day, I wished I could stay longer.
Pros: Staff were very friendly, very accommodating and made my staff very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again
Cons: Breakfast could have had more options
Cons: The lack of a small shelf in the shower and a mirror above the washing basin. Quite a dim main electrical lighting in the room. One of the maids opening the door without knocking intruding on our privacy.
Pros: Breakfast was good location Very good.
Cons: The property need some maintenance with regards to the outdoor open spaces.
Pros: Nothing to complain about. The place is very very clean, the breakfast was good and a very quiet place.
Pros: Very relaxing place to be great view very chilling place nice staff, loved it.
Cons: Wasps round pool could have done with extra pillow
Pros: Amazing view large swimming pool, good breakfast. Everything is done to make you fell well, nice situation, bed very comfortable. I hope to come back again.
Pros: Really clean place with friendly owners who are there to help. The pool is lovely and the views out to see really pretty.
Cons: Nothing. Place was great.
Pros: Good location and the room has all the basic rhings one would need! Good value for money even during high season!
Pros: Clean and friendly
With a stay at Heavens Door - Guest House in Fontana, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Ggantija Temple and Lunzjata Valley. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable rooms and nice ambient
Cons: More than didn't like a suggestion to the owners to doube glaze the windows overlooking the street and no dog early morning on the roof running about
Pros: We found goodiesin the room and the fact out pet could stay with us was extra special!
Cons: Bed could be more comfortable.
Pros: The bedroom was clean and comfortable. They even provided some snacks for us, which was very nice of them. The host provided ample information on how to reach the house and on places to visit, and was extremely polite. There was even a load of books to loan. We had our own privacy, even though the house was shared. Extremely happy overall.
Cons: It would have been great to have better bathroom supplies included. The soap bar was used, so I didn't think it was sanitary to make use of. Although, again, all in all, still happy with our stay.
Pros: Traditional with a quirky twist anD interesting art. Close to the citadel and bus station.
Cons: Bit noisy cause it's next to a main road.
Pros: Location is great, it was clean, cozy furnished and bed is really comfortable. Small kitchen was full of basic things for breakfast, even milk, coffee, toast, jam and a big basket of fresh fruits. There is a detailed portfolio of recommendations for restorants, beaches, activities...
Cons: Owner did not communicate which one is the room that I will occupy and how to get there (it's not in the main house). Fortunately, I could reach him on the phone. Someone without roaming calls would be in the problem. Because you do feel a little idiotic walling around house, not knowing where to go. After he explained, he told me to call him if I'll have any trouble. In my humble opinion, it was the owner who was supposed to call and check on his guest. Otherwise, everything was great.
Pros: - Staff was welcoming and verry flexible as he allowed us to upgrade with really short notice - Book available with tips and tricks on the area - Stylish bedroom - Close to Victoria city center - Snacks available in the room - Bed is comfortable and blanket is adapted to the negative comment about temperature here-under
Cons: - Breakfast was rather poor, it was actually rather like snacks available in the room for the stay (no daily breakfast) hence the "snacks in the room" comment in the "positive" section. If like us you like full breakfast we'd advice you to go "Captain Spriss" (66 Main Gate st., ir-Rabat) and enjoy the room breakfast as snacks during your evening. - Unfortunately Malta people don't invest in propre heating, wich we can understand. Unfortunately we went there during the "coldest winter in long times" (according to locals, it was still between 13 and 15 degrees). Even if the airco system was supposed to heat the room, even set in "30 °C" for long time, it only increased room temperature couples of degrees
Pros: It’s quirky and fun decorated with lots of antiques and eccentric bric a brac. Peters room was lovely. Tall ceilings, great bed, nice private bathroom next door. We enjoyed the little plunge pool too. I am coeliac and the nearest restaurant Il Panzier ,39 Charity Street, understands and provides excellent gluten free food. Tiny so Book ahead. The nearby Black Cat cafe makes the best gf banana loaf ever!
Cons: Location: you have to walk up a very steep hill to get to the main town. We are a bit old and unfit for this but it would be fine for younger ones. Breakfast arrangements were A bit unclear. You have to phone to request further supplies as there is no one at the property. However they did provide very good gluten free food for me as requested.
Pros: House nice and special, with unusual and beautiful decor, extremely clean and comfortable and good location.
Cons: House nice and special, with unusual and beautiful decor, extremely clean and comfortable and good location.
Pros: Gozo is lovely and heavens door is very unique
Cons: some contact telephone numbers were out of date, no hand towel or hand soap, breakfast dishes and cutlery never washed or changed, only half a loo roll for 3 night stay. Door was locked at 12midnight I think maybe by accident. Jeremy the host did respond promptly when I did eventually managed to contact him
Pros: Heavens Door is a really nice bed&breakfast ! It is really arty from the interior und full of life when you look around ! We had breakfast included, after a short text the fridge was filled !

Pros: The rooftop Pool
Cons: I liked everything
Pros: Staff were absolutely wonderful consistently.
Cons: The sheets on the bed come off very easily as they're not fitted - quite uncomfortable in the night!
Pros: Food excellent both breakfast and dinner, beautiful view and very friendly and efficient staff.
Pros: We stayed in 502, highest guest room level overlooking the bay. Hotel was kept clean, room had a fridge, bath, shower and tea and coffee. Large ish terrace with sun loungers, excellent views and a great place to catch some sun.
Cons: Wifi provided kept losing signal, the shower was not very good, the elevator in the hotel was a little slow, there was no safe in the room, resturant in the hotel was always quiet even when others beside it were packed. Food and service at the restaurant needs an overhaul.
Pros: Good size room and comfortable bed! Bathtub as well as shower. Fantastic view from balcony worth paying extra for sea view! Great selection for breakfast and good that it was available till 10.30am. Tea and coffee in room along with small fridge too.
Cons: A couple of times during the week we found Housekeeping did not replace used items e.g. tea and toiletries but not a big deal and everything else so good we would certainly stay again!
Pros: Location fantastic, staff fantastic but best of all was the restaurant. Although there are lots of restaurants to choose from in Xlendi we found the one in the hotel could not be beat, especially the seafood Plata. They were very accommodating to our late arrival (delayed flight) and were happy to get the chef to do us a cold meat and cheese Plata for when we arrived. Luckily it wasn't needed and we made it to enjoy the wonderful food overlooking the sea in their fantastically located restaurant. Most importantly to note is the restaurant is very good at giving you a good range of gluten free options I didn't struggle at all to find something to eat.
Cons: Although there is free parking outside the hotel if you park under the trees of which there are lots your car will be covered in bird mess. After 3 days we couldn't see out of the windscreen, but there is a carwash just outside Victoria by the Toyota garage on the way to the ferry back to Malta.
Pros: Fantastic location. Really helpful staff. Rooftop plunge pool with fantastic views.
Cons: Service charge to bring food or drinks to rooftop pool
Pros: Good breakfast, spacious room, great view, wonderfully situated right by a beach. Excellent wifi connection and a functional effective air conditioner. Interior aesthetic is beautiful and it has its own unique style.
Cons: The elevator is from an another era - in a bad way. Slow, small and there is no indication of which floor it is currently on. No fried eggs for breakfast. Shower was a bit underwhelming and we personally detest shower curtains. There was a brief occasional foul smell coming from the bathroom during one of the nights.
Pros: Location and A.C
Cons: Pool too small and no bar ... 3 euros charge for every order ...... Location
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful. Even though arrived late for breakfast, there was still a large variety available.
With a stay at Hotel San Andrea in Munxar, you'll be near the bay, within a 10-minute drive of Ggantija Temple and Sanap Cliffs. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Excellent value for money. Very good location, good breakfast.
Cons: Double bed is two singles pushed together. Only negative point, really.
Pros: The location is very good
Cons: The floor of the bedroom was very dirty and you cannot stay barefooted. Even the balcony furniture was very dirty as well. This was very uncomfortable for us. Moreover the sanitary facilities need replacement
Pros: location and good breakfast.
Cons: small room, no refrigerator in room, charge for beach towels, very small tv.
Pros: Excellent service, very welcoming staff, really enjoyed our stay, the dinner option is a must, table available through reservation and very high standard of food and quality service guaranteed. Breakfast was very good and again excellent service.
Cons: A real gem of a hotel, no negative at all
Pros: Nice location. Very good ac and the breakfast was good. Staff was helpful.
Pros: Location of this hotel is very good and convenient. It is a little noisy though, as the window faces the street which goes up, so cars are speeding up..
Cons: Breakfast wasn't very tasty :( I think it was the worst breakfast we ever had. Omelet was tasteless, juices too sweet. Lucky us that we stayed one night only, for longer stay it would be pity to have such breakfast every morning.
Pros: Location of place was great! Bed was reasonably comfortable and the airconditioning was excellent
Cons: Rooms need more soundproofing, could have heard oncoming traffic from the street and heard neigbors a little more than i wanted. Rooms as well were also a bit small but it didnt bother us too much.
Pros: I've stayed in Xlendi a few times before, but always in another hotel. Hotel San Andrea, although having less stars, is far better. The hotel is very clean and well furnished, feeling modern but not out of place with Xlendi's cultural vibe. The staff were polite, friendly and very accommodating. The A/C throughout the hotel, but especially in the room, is absolutely phenomenal... a live-saver in Gozo's summer heat - bonus point, the A/C system won't run if you leave the balcony door open, which is a nice touch for energy conservation and good environmental practice! Shower pressure was one of the best I've ever had. The breakfast was good - especially as the restaurant is right on the seafront - makes for lovely breakfast views. Wide range of choice for food, and no large queues to use the coffee and juice machines. The WiFi is awesome throughout the entire hotel and even at the seafront restaurant. The hotel has one lift but this was sufficient for the number of guests/rooms - also, it's big enough for a family and their luggage. Overall, this hotel is fantastic value for money and comes highly recommended.
Cons: One issue with the breakfast was that the hot food (bacon, eggs sausages etc.) were directly under one of the A/C's so weren't very warm. Also, one morning, they ran out of plates/bowls for about 15 minutes - no biggy, but would have been very annoying had we been in a hurry. Our room had two twin-beds pushed together to make a double, which while being standard practice in many places isn't brilliant comfort-wise for a couple.
Pros: Excellent location, walking distance from the ferry. Opposite the sea.
Cons: Internet connection was very weak in room 309 Internet connection was ok in room 308 The smell by the elevator specially at the reception area
Pros: Best location in Xlendi. Nice breakfast with a view.
Cons: The bathroom needs to be modernised. Room was comfy, albeit small. AC a little loud.
