Outside and grounds were kept nice.
Room was broken into, but they gave us an upgraded room for the next night. Our original room had a small bathroom and only two towels. Couldn't get room service to give us new ones the next two days, I had to go get them off the cart.
We enjoyed the beautiful vistas of the mountains. The hotel provides cover areas just to sit, relax and take it to natural beauty. The building has a very historical almost presidential appearance. It provides direct access to Natural Bridge tickets and gift Center. The hotel provides both a room with interior access or a room with exterior access from a terrace. Our wing of rooms had large windows on both front and back walls to provide plenty of light and exterior views. Staff both at check in and during meal time were fabulous and very pleasant.
Our exterior entrance room furnishing seemed a little dated with a very small bathroom. It had no counter space with a 2x2 shower stall. However, they did provide a very nice dresser and TV.
The Hotel itself looks wonderful. It is a very pretty hotel.
We booked our room thru kayak.com as a king bed and not in the cottages because we heard bad thing about their cottages. We go to check in and guess where they stick us, in the cottages which wasn't even a king bed. My husband so mad. We walked into the cottage which was so small and looked so nasty and outdated and only has two double beds. We went back to the hotel and told them this is not the room we booked. For one the bed size is wrong and for two, we paid more than what these cottages cost. We asked for our money back and left. I will never stay their again. They should have never tired to put us in a room that was clearly not what we paid for.
