beautiful rooms nice lobby area breakfast was adequate nice location could be really nice if things worked!! WiFi not working for entire stay. No lights for hot tub room, making it too dark to see in the evening. Hot tub was working but dangerously dark. Staff was apologetic, but nothing was done to remedy anything.
Building, staff, location
Like just about everything we tried. Had a great time in casino's. When I made our dinner reservation at the Timberline restaurant, I requested a quite corner out of the way so that we could enjoy a nice quite evening/dinner together for our 45th. We where seated behind the sever station that was so noisy at time we just didn't talk. Major disappointment. Had made the reservations week in advance for this very reason. Were glad to finish dinner and go back to our room. Oh, well maybe better next time.
About as nice a hotel room as we've ever seen!
Great room, excellent amenities Buffet was mediocre at best
The room was very clean. The staff was amazing. We will be back. Not a thing.
Rooms were clean. Well maintained. Food at fire side grill could have been better
No smoking. Clean Gambling was terrible. No drinks offered, terrible service at the Fireside restaurant. The buffet was expensive for the value. Very few tables and minimums were too high
The pool, hot tub, and fire pits on the top of the building were beautiful. It was clean and well cared for. It was a casino and I'm not a gambler. If I went again, I might look for a restaurant outside of the casino.
Jaccuzi. Ambienance was nice and inviting. Very clean There were no coffee regular. Hotel gave very little perks to almost nothing for staying. Player club almost to nothing to first time comer. No discount for meals for playing. We have gotten a lot more at other casinos. TV was a problem. Bed not that comfortable
The view and rooftop pool were amazing as was the whole experience. Free valet! Parking garage not attached to the hotel, not really a big deal. Expensive table games.
The property is big, lots of games, buffet and a couple restaurants. Cool rooftop pool/hot tub. Rooms are nice, well-decorated, comfortable. Cleanliness isn't where it needs to be. My room had some stains on the floor, a small stain on the sheets, and tangle of hair on the bathroom floor. But the worst part was the machines themselves, the electronic roulette machine was disgusting, covered in all sorts of debris, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Hard to play on a machine you don't even want to touch. Bartender cleaned a video poker machine for me to be courteous, and he mentioned that although cleaning staff is supposed to clean them, they never do. Also my in-room coffee maker was missing the piece where the filter fits, so I couldn't make coffee in the room.
The room was nice. The gambling was horrible. The black jack tables were packed and no one could catch a break! Never gambling at the Ameristar again!
This place is pretty run down.
The property looked out of date and tired. The guest rooms reminded me of something out of the 1980's. Never again
View was nice Lights were broken, bathroom sink was clogged, had to unplug either the main light or the alarm clock to charge one phone, sheets were dirty, elevator was broken. I understand it's an older hotel, but the upkeep seemed almost non existent. If they spent half the time they did on building their website to actually clean the place up instead of making it look good online it might actually be comfortable. No fridge or microwave, which is fine, but I expect at least a nice room if you are going to skimp on the standard amenities.
Location The noise of house keeping early in the morning
Outdated and dingy. Elevator did not work. Staff called the place a "piss-hole".
Ease of access to Boulder Creek. Friendly, accomadating staff. Nice pool area. Dated, dingy room. Few bathroom amenities. Poolside grill/gazebo and restaurant seemed to be non operational on the two days we were there.
Room size friendly housekeeping staff. Nice grounds. Oh complementary coffee in the morning in the lobby
Pool was closed without prior notification. Pizza sauce on carpet in room (appeared not vacuumed). Beer cans scattered all over outside the patio door. Very old and overall unclean feeling.
While the main lobby and rooms above it may be nice. We stayed in the old west wing known as the sporting wing. Elevator broke down. Seems a little dated and hallways and elevator not too clean, especially for the price. Room was clean.
The proximity to University of Colorado Boulder sold me, however the rest of the service was not worth the price. When I got in to my room, I could smell
checking out and checking into the marriott down the street stayed 4 nights; service provided in the room on 1 day; had to repeatedly call front desk for fresh towels; clean cups; it's a party hotel for CU football games; if you're a family, stay away from this hotel.
I woke up and saw a bedbug in the folds of the sheets. I was able to kill it and positively identify it as a bedbug before bringing it to the front desk. They switched my room for the last night of my stay, but travelers should be aware of bedbugs in the sporting wing of the hotel.
Quite, bed were comfortable Took over an hour to get mac and cheese for 22 dollars and came out cold. Bar workers rude and couldnt keep up.took 20 mins to order 2 drinks
The Hotel was real clean and the game room was a hit for my daughter. We had a Great time. The road was a little loud.
Very comfortable beds. Both hot tubs were not working. Ice machine on our floor not working.
The location was great The parking is TIGHT so if you have a suv it may be a bit tough. The place is old. All stairs and not very clean. There was gum in the shower. No AC. Which in the winter is no big deal. But for the summer it can get stuffy in the room with just one open window and no cross Breeze
The restaurant was pretty good. The chef definitely has some amazing ideas that he or she puts together, but some of the choices in terms of cuts of meat were not the greatest. We spent $23.95 on a ribeye that was mostly grizzle. My dogs ate more of it than I did. Oh and did I mention I could bring my dogs? Best part was having the kids when we got back to the room after going snowboarding and get all fuckered up without needing to drive 2 to 3 hours home. Well, I spent over $200 on my room that looked like it was a part of the Motel 6. The blankets were not especially warm and our a/c unit was out. Cold at night and hot during the day... I called them the day before and told them that I was bringing my pets and they said that was ok with a fee. No problem. So I went to see if I could check in and with a surprising "yes' as an answer, it was quickly diverted to a "no" because they never updated their log saying that I had my animals with me. Not only that, they said they would call when the room we were moved to was ready and never go the phone call. Whatever, I guess it's not so bad as the couple next door to us who were fighting at 2:45 in the morning that the cops needed to come and arrest at 3:30am. Yea I heard the whole thing. Over priced for a stay that was less than 24 hours. I would not do them again. If you are a family with kids - great spot but a nice romantic get away = NO!
Pools nice, locations nice....that's about it Old TVs, thin walls that can't even block out tv noise, trash left in room, and hairs found in bed...Oh did I mention the 100 dollar credit card fee that was not mentioned we would have to pay in full for potential "damages"? I will never stay here again!
The design of the hotel made it a little weird to find the rooms. But overall, the location is prime.
The location is perfect! The view of the slopes was great, the shuttle was easy, having the ski shop in the lodge was convenient! we considered staying at a place with "efficiency unit" but with spacious room, fridge and micro in room, and shopping in town, we had everything we needed (and for a lot less than an efficiency). The pub is great (food, craft beer, great staff) and is all you could ask you! The place shows some signs of wear and tear but if you are fine with "not brand new", it is great! The staff is constantly cleaning and working on keeping the place nice. There is a lot of "unused space" (undergoing renovation?) in the older section of the lodge. It would be nice to have a fitness room (free weights, cardio machines) in some of this un-used space.
Great location to winter sport activities. All staff were very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Staff was awesome. Liked it so much stayed an extra night. Parking sucked. Walls are a little thin.
Location. Prices for food in the restaurant was very high for very low quality food. Bartender was lazy and rude. The hotel has gone through a renovation, but they did not put any money into the beds. They appeared to be very cheap were very uncomfortable.
Location was excellent; staff was very courteous and professional, surrounding were very historic. Nothing
Loved the elevator! Loved the old music playing! The staff was friendly and attentive. Great valet service. Restaurant was yummy. And the Corner Bar had a nice selection of good beer. Didn't find any fault.
I enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. The accents in the room were very nice and make staying at this historic hotel very enjoyable.
Loved the turn-of-the-century decor - stained glass ceiling in the lobby, original 1900's caged, operated-by-a-person elevator, fireplace in lobby, original safe behind the front desk etc. Loved the location right in the middle of downtown Boulder with access to shopping, restaurants and the beautiful trail beside Boulder creek. Staff were delightful - as the hotel wasn't full, they upgraded us to a suite, so the 3 of us had both a living room and a bedroom in the historic side of the hotel. Perfect. Enjoyed a perfect dinner in the hotel restaurant. Had to eat breakfast at the airport. There was a coffee pot in the room, but not really a convenient place to grab a quick breakfast. It would be great if there were a coffee shop either in the hotel or next door. Some of the antique furniture in the room really needed to be re-upholstered. But the feeling was very turn-of-the-20th-century.
The view of the flat irons was great. Location was awesome. The hotel was both modern and charming. The furnishings were nice. Second vanity and sink outside the bathroom. We did not drive (because we knew parking would be limited and expensive). Although I would have expected a pool given the price, there was a lot to do in the area. Everything we wanted was within walking distance. We like room service. However, the one breakfast we ordered did not come with any condiments (salt, pepper, butter, jelly). The woman who delivered the food did not make any eye contact (although she was perfectly polite). We did not order room service after that. Also, there is no table on which to share a meal in the king room we had. One person had to sit at the desk on the other side of the TV console, so we could not even see each other while we talked and ate. A little TV tray for the other wing-back chair would have been nice.
Awesome old building, with good food and drinks. Lotta stuff to see and do with in walking distance. Super nice and helpful staff as well. Little spendy, but a cool place none the less.
The hotel could not be better located. The restaurant was reasonably priced, though we just ate there for breakfast. It had the modern amenities with the feel of a historic hotel. The have a small fitness room, but you can work out for free at ONE Fitness which is a two block walk.
Hotel is wonderful, with great character (it's on the National Register of Historic Places). Staff are very friendly and appropriately attentive without being intrusive. They addressed me by name after 2 days. The hotel had a water leak in another room and the room in which I stayed had a musty, damp smell to it as a result.
This place is awesome - Closest lodging to the Boulder Downtown and more than accommodating. Would recommend for Business or Pleasure stays.
The bed was wonderful. We also like the decor and location. Room service was good. Wall paper
Kind and attentive staff
I can still remember my last stay. Staff was not friendly.
Staff was awesome, free bike storage was a very nice plus! Hotel was good for a group of guys, probably needs a good upgrade in the next year or so if I was going to take my wife there on a trip. Overall the value of the Vintage was good for the summer rate we paid, probably would look elsewhere if going there in winter.
the vintage is a good value for the money. the staff is excellent and always helpful. it also has good proximity to the slopes via the cabriolet. the only downside is having to run the gauntlet of shops, especially after a day of skiing, carrying ski gear. lack of electrical outlets and very little light. the wifi was inadequate in our room on the 3rd floor.
The best hot tub, but the swimming pool was closed. We booked a room at the Vintage Hotel on Kayak recently and received a big shock when we returned home. The hotel charged us for the room on top of what we paid at getaroom.com. The person at the check-in desk seemed clueless after we informed him that the room was already paid for. After calling the manager he informed us this also happened to another party. I’m still waiting for a refund and after calling the customer service at getaroom.com they said I will have to wait nine days for the refund. We will never use this travel site again and the Vintage hotel needs to work on improving their customer service. We also found out that we could have booked the room through Winter Park and saved $20.00 over what Kayak charged.
Loved this hotel! Wonderful friendly helpfulstaff! Nice rooms with easy access to the mountain, shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!
Out Door Hot Tub and Pool Sort of out dated. Needs some remodeling.
easy access from interstate easy access to ski resort nice, large room very comfortable bed great staff!!
The room was well equiped and furnished nicely, incluidng the fireplace! The bathroom was a bit small with slightly challenging space for more than 1 person to use it at a time. The draw space was minimal and located in the TV stand. The location of the room was directly across from the vending/ice machines and at the hallway intersection, but was only occasionally noisy. The cabriolette service hours should be longer through dinner hours since the shuttle service is not as reliable (on time) and walking back to the hotel in the colder weather at night is not fun.
The hotel was clean and the staff were super nice! That I couldn't stay longer!
Room was really great. Like the little kitchen area.
ski locker was nice the room was very outdated and the bathroom was very small. it was difficult to get to the village after the cabriolet closed. The shuttle bus was confusing and unreliable
Everything about The Vintage Hotel was great. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent pool area, the beds were confortable, it was clean, great sized room and kitchenette, and we lived the gondola. They are in the process of updating some very out of date aspects of the hotel. We had new furniture and appliances.
Friendly staff. Good location in central Boulder. Walls were a little thin.
Friendly staff, very clean rooms, loved the layout of the rooms and how big they were, had a beautiful view of the mountains, comfortable bed, overall very pleased! There really wasn't anything we didn't like, even the parking was reasonable
Newly built, very well designed room Sectional sofa, have guests without making them sit on a bed. Lots of shared space on the ground floor Proper DirectTV with Program Guide & 10 free premium channels Whole Foods 1/4 mi away Empty mini-fridge Twinings Tea in-room $10/day parking. A couple of quick train passes overnight (earplugs on the nightstand, but I didn't need them).
I liked where it was and the room was comfortable Price and inconvenience
the sitting chair the sauna seemed dirty and was switched off
it was a bad choice, woundn't choose again. the shower didnt' work and the clerk acted as though it was something I did. The faucet never worked and I didn't have time to call for repair as I had a scheduled business meeting to attend and had to take a sponge bath. see above
I like how clean and moderniZed it all was, however I wanted a room with a view and they gave us a room with a view of the construction site next door. The breakfast was amazing and hot!
Good location. Price good. Mildew smell in carpet detracted. Spa area dirty and needs upgrade.
The location was convenient to my son's apt. The hot tub is big although the jets were erratic.... The breakfast was awful--carbs & cardboard. Terrible lighting in the vanity area.
Quite rooms I booked a room at isle casino and they decided to place me in their sister casino, lady luck without any compensation. Our room was located a long walk away from where we were supposed to be and where our friends were.
The staff was rude. The price was way to expensive. Not worth the money
Gambling was ok and breakfast was good The room was small not it was not wreath 180
The bed was very comfortable. Losing all my money.
Room next to us was loud all night and there was a definite rattling noise all night long.
The rooms were clean and well appointed Bed was comfortable Parking garage with easy access to rooms you don't have to enter through the casino or lobby We would stay there again
The room was really nice. Bed was super comfortable and spacious rooms for a relative cheap price. Fun dealers - for the most part Good vibe Lobby less than desirable. 3 food options I saw No 'bar', no place to sit and relax with a drink Not many roulette tables or craps
2 of 3 front desk personnel were awesome. The check in and the lady of whom we asked questions. The gent at check out was unconcerned, and did not even thank us for pointing out that there were items needing repair. We did not bother mentioning the pillows or the bed. On a road trip. 13 different hotels. This the most expensive, and the least satisfactory. The pillows were awful; one of the beds was sagging. the bedside lamp switch was broken; thus had to get out of bed to shut off light. The plug for the sink was broken, and both the sink and tub drains did not.
Great price for a room for the mountains. The room was very clean and upscale. The town is all about the gambling. All food options around were quite pricy so be prepared to spend over $20 on a buffet or more on a very fancy steakhouse.
The AC did not work, had to open the windows to cool the room off! There was hair in the bathtub drain and the floor wasn't vacuumed very well
Poor customer service at the front desk
Large rooms Clean rooms Broken A/C in one of our rooms Hotel staff not very helpful Rooms were not next to each other (even though I called to confirm this the morning of our stay)
The rooms were great, extremely comfortable and very luxurious. Probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in in years. I slept a solid 8 hours and never moved which neither had happened since I can't remember when. All the rooms are secluded on one floor so there's no riff raff. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable and a great value. Can't say enough about it That I couldn't stay longer
I will definitely be staying here again! The room was great! Easy check in, good parking. There is also a shuttle that goes to all the hotel/ casinos. Was way cheaper than ameristar and just as nice if not better
Room was clean and large, very inviting. At Casino- $3.00 black jack there was only 1 table. It was full with 4 players and no one acknowledged me waiting to play! Bad on the dealers part. I waited 15 min. standing and no one said a word. NOT GOOD!
The hotel staff was great! Their key card machine was giving them problems so the manage on duty gave us a comp on our room and upgraded us to the Mimi suite which was very beautiful No late checkouts & housekeeping staff
Room service trays littered the hallway constantly - our neighbor's tray, including uneaten foods, was there uncovered for days. There was a large area of stained carpet in the room. The coffee/tea tray contained paper litter from previous guest and was not fully stocked. The sheets were less soft than at similar hotels.
Boulder Marriott is in a great location. Rooms were clean, facilities are very nice. My only gripe is for the money I paid they wanted to charge me $12-16 for WiFi access. Really? You get free WiFi at cheaper locations and a free breakfast. Felt like I was being nicklel and dimed for basic amenities.
The staff are very attentive with good knowledge of the area. The room is clean as expected of any Marriott.
Nothing I arrived at 11 p.m. due to flight delays and the hotel and given my room away after they had already charged my credit card. It was Admit weekend at CU-Boulder and approximately 4,000 students and families were in town so all hotels were sold out. NO ONE at the hotel attempted to contact me via text, email or phone to alert me that my room was given away to an existing guest that decided to extend their stay. Imagine...arriving in a strange city with your 18 year-old and no place to stay...extremely disappointing.
I've stayed at several different hotels in Boulder and this is by far the best. Not quite the best location for the University but very clean, comfortable beds and nice staff. My first choice when visiting Boulder. Draw back is it is a little removed from main area but within 5 min. drive to many places to eat, shop and movies.
Hotel was very comfortable. Enjoyed the indoor pool and it was very clean. Room was good size and beds were comfy. The room had a balcony which is hard to find these days. Enjoyed having morning coffee, evening glass of wine and just the pleasure of letting fresh air in, loved the balcony!!!! The breakfast area was nicely decorated, spacious and created unique spaces for all different situations. Food was excellent, health conscious and affordable. Staff was accommodating.
I have no complaints about the hotel except that it was a bit farther from Pearl Street and campus that I was lead to believe in the description. However, since we did take a taxi to and from the areas, it could have seemed longer because of the horrible construction traffic. The hotel, although, not fancy had everything I needed for a short or extended stay. I would stay there again if the price was right (and it was!)
I recently stayed here for a local film festival and was very pleased. It is located right off of Foothills Pkwy (Highway 157), so it was easy and convenient to find. It is also only five minutes from lovely downtwon Boulder and maybe seven minutes from the University of Colorado campus. The staff were very friendly and even remembered my name the next morning! The rooms are spacious with very large TVs. The lobby looks recently rennovated and is decorated in a very chic modern style, and the food at the little cafe is pretty good. I stopped by the pool and the hottub, but did not get in. We also used the laundry facilities, which are convenient and reasonable. Overall, a great place to stay. Next time I'm in Boulder this will be my first choice.
When I saw the Pearl Street address online, I had mistakenly thought that the property was CLOSE to downtown - IT'S NOT. It's out on the very outskirts ..did I say out? You are not within walking distance of anything....\nI had some Marriott giftcards that I planned to use to pay for my trip - $800 worth. When I checked in, the hotel did not know how to process the giftcards, and didn't know who to call. They told me that I would have to put the room on my credit card, until they figured it out...which pretty much ruined our stay as I didn't have an 'extra' grand on my credit card - since I also had a car rental on it!!! To me, there was no excuse - they should know how to process their own gift cards, and not have left me 'high and dry' for 7 days. They did comp me breakfast (whoopee...$10...) for 2 of the 7 days.....
This hotel worked out so well on our first trip, we stayed there again. Really enjoyed their cafe for breakfast (something as simple as oatmeal became a little special with assorted dried fruits and nuts to mix in). The hotel is nicely appointed, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Free newspapers, coffee and computers in the lobby 'business center.'
This property has recently been redone & we loved the clean modern Zen look. All the amenities for travelors are there from email to printing out one's boarding ticket & more. We extended our stay so we didn't need to move.
A little ways from Pearl St but a solid overall choice for staying in Boulder. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Hotel was convenient to all our activities. Room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. A rental car is essential if you do not have your own transportation. A bit further out from downtown and Pearl Street area, but still very easy access to everything. Would definately stay again.
Very comfortable. Easy in and out for one night stay. Clean. Staff was accommodating. Good value for price. Located near shopping, Target, restaurants.
Everything was excellent, healthy breakfast and very well served.
I was really surprised when i opened that door to the room... i didn't think it would be that nice... i thought it would look the same as the outside kinda sh*tty but as an overall experience it was good. No hot tub, small casino, not much food choice, and its a way from blackhawk if you want to drink... oh and i hate the smell of cigarettes which was around elevator, and entry ways...
the price was right the hotel room was large and clean. the casino was nice. we ate at the dinner buffet at 5;00. it was the worse buffet we have ever had' the food was obviously left over from lunch. there was very little to chose from. there was 1 meat chicken. stall. potatoes has hard as a rock. we had to go somewhere else to eat.
Could only get a smoking room. It definitely smelled of smoke. Other than that, it was fine.
Bus route takes you into Blackhawk, good deal for the money. Extremely friendly staff
The room was very clean and comfortable. I liked the back patio area the room had as well. It was not close to anything in particular, so the location was a bit inconvenient.
Clean, friendly staff, right off foothills hwy Nice breakfast spread Grounds nicely maintained Loud a/c in the room
The breakfast was excellent My room backed up to a highway and the traffic noise was very loud. The room smelled of smoke from a previous occupant.
The grounds were beautiful and the staff very pleasant. It was nice and quite setting - tucked back from the main roads.
The modern look and open studio set up as well as the private entrance. Not that I can think of.

More than a hotel room in an area convenient to our business in Boulder. Could not connect to internet on IOS devices. Called tech support, no go. Was awakened more than once each night by train whistle. Was not advised about train crossing disturbances.

Location, quality of staff and breakfast.
Great atmosphere, courteous Staff and well designed campus.
Large Room Adjacent to highway and train tracks (lots of noise)
Great location, large, clean room. Good TV with HBO included. The guests above us kept my wife awake just by walking around in their room. An upper room might be a better choice for light sleepers (there are two floors). The toilet and shower are in a separate room, with two sinks outside. The area with the sinks does not have a door separating it from the rest of the room, which makes it hard to use at night without turning on a light.
Staff was efficient and accommodated my request for a quiet room. Room was comfortable, though initially overheated. Location excellent: close to Pearl St, university, and offices. Very poor quality breakfast. Parking lot was partially covered in ice (dangerously so) because of drainage problem.
The inn was charming, the owners very friendly and personable. Lack of elevator access to second floor for luggage
Beautiful structure Structure falling apart, tremendous amount of deferred maintenance. Exceptionally down in the dumps attitudes from most of staff. Average food at best for a B&B. Killed plenty of flies and spiders but I left the webs in the corners. Pretty sad.
