Great location, walk the beach for miles with dozens of bars/restaurants/local shops along the way. Great beach for swimming, sunning, chillin' or paddle boarding (available for free from CocoLaPalm). Great mix of restaurants from upscale beach-side to lower priced but excellent local food roadside. Plenty of local shops and wandering non-pushy local entrepreneurs on the beach (selling anything from lobsters to coconut water direct from the coconut). Real feel of being in Jamaica, totally different from isolated all-inclusive resorts. Stay here to see the real Jamaica.
We should have opted for a better room. I picked what seemed to be the best value when searching for accommodations. It's a vacation, don't make the mistake of being too frugal with room costs. The couple we came with had a much nicer room for only about 10-15% more than what we paid. Our room was fine, just nothing exceptional.
Staff was extremely helpful and professional from room service to grounds to restaurant staff, could not have been treated better!
Lounge chairs on beach would be better if they could sit up straighter. Two big umbrellas on restaurant terrace did not work for shade. Bathroom vent fan did not work, dial broken. Wifi in room did not work, were able to get wifi on property but not in room 608.
beach was the best, most of the staff where friendly.
bartenders not so friendly, and drinks are too expensive for what you get.
The peoplE who work here
Our room was clean but definitely needs some updating. Especially the bathroom shower where the water pressure was nonexistent.
We loved our stay...the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Everyone was very accommodating. The restaurants were excellent and the beach was the best.
