Hotel has a big terrace to get breakfast or just sit there on the fresh air. Owner was very nice and friendly but she doesn't speak English, just few words... Air conditioning in the room. we did not use it as we have little children... It's right on the intersection. Our room was very, very small, and there were only roof windows that we could not open. Maybe other rooms are bigger. This one for my wife and our little boy was really quite small...
Ermilia was really nice, the service and the room standard was brilliant. Breakfast consisted of some lovely pastries yum yum. The views were fantastic, the only thing I would say is get a car as the buses around thia area are a bit erratic, ie. they seem to go into Piano town but don't seem to come back up for hours. The apartment was 7km away from Sorrento and 7km away from Positano, another bit of advice best taking the bus up to there as the road is horendious (mountain drop on the right of you!) but between 9-10.30 ish as the buses after that get a bit erratic and also are packed full of people, coming back the bus runs hourly. Make sure you take the number booking.com give you as she is not always there, its also outside the door.
The owner was very friendly, the bathroom was very big, very central for the whole peninsula, an hour from Naples, Vesuvius, Pompei and only minutes from the Amalfi coast - which I personally feel is very overrated. The breakfast left a lot to be desired! De-luxe is an overstatement. Very loud - inside and out.
We stayed in the excelsior room, which was well worth the extra money! It's a beautiful room with two balconies overlooking the main piazza and a peek of the ocean. The staff is wonderful! We were given pointers on where to eat and what to see.
Location along with the helpfullness of the oweners to orientat us on Sorrento and area. There email instructing us on navigating the train system to the door of the b&b. No
Well located, very friendly staff, excellent breakfest in a very nice garden.Clean and new facilities. Parking place. Hard to find - missing a good and clear sign to reach the place for the first time.
Lovely setting for breakfast. Good fresh pasteries and juice at breakfast Not very well sign posted. Room small and dark.
The wonderful room especially the lemon garden and wonderful people
An amazing place to stay...beautiful, clean, and the service was the best I have ever received at any hotel I have ever stayed at-and I travel a lot. The owner could not have been more kind and gracious. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Location was great, too-right by the train station, ferry to Capri, and tons of shops and restaurants-we were able to walk everywhere. We could have paid twice the price for this place and still felt like we were getting a bargain. I can't wait to go back!
the owners, the orchard, the breakfast - all lovely. The nearby main road is horribly and permanently congested - but alternate walking routes into town are available (just ask) and the traffic noise we feared was inaudible. We were eventually awoken at 8 a.m. by a crowing cockerel. Amazing!
We enjoyed the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners. Very obliging and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were very clean. Good location, walking distance into town.
We loved the atmosphere of a small hotel offering quiet and comfortable surroundings, attentive staff and wonderful breakfasts that set us up for the activiities of the day in Sorrento.
the suite was new well furnished and the view was superb. the staff service was outstanding and the whole atmosphere was extraordinary maybe the price can be a little bit cheaper
owners were very friendly. nice breakfast. nice extra touches (satallite tv), yogurt with breakfast having to walk 3/4 of a mile through the heavy traffic (with the disappearing sidewalks!) from the town square to the hotel
The apartment looked cheap and tatty from the outside but was absolutely beautiful inside. Expensively and tastefully decorated. (We had the Green Room - there are 4 colours)Breakfast was brought to us by a girl and we gave her the keys as we left. Comfortable bed and very clean. When we arrived we had to wait 25 minutes for the owner to arrive and let us in but as we had booked just 10 minutes before wasnt bad as she was working out of town.
We had a lovely large room. The bathroom was huge and very clean! Very helpful staff, the cleaning lady called us a cab from her cell phone for us, as there isnt a phone in the suite. Breakfast was delievered every morning to our room, at our choice of time. Fridge in the room which was nice, as were there 3 nights and the A/C did work! Wonderful place!
The cleanness of this bed and breakfast. We were not very happy with the reception at our arrival. As there was nobody, while we notified the time of our arrival the day before by email When you have a tough journey behind you, this is the last you fancy. After two phonecalls the owner appeared after 20 minutes. In addition, we found the breakfast rather summarily. However these items did not affect our pleasant stay in Sorrento.
The rooms were of 4# standard. The staff were very friendly. I believe it was very good value for sorrento. I would definately recommend here to everyone.
Spacious room, comfortable beds, big bathroom, free wifi. We forgot to arrange an ETA with the owner but he couldn't get there quick enough to help us :) Located directly beside the train line with frequent trains. Breakfast was included but minimal.
Room was very good and represented very good value for money. Location was good both for walking into Sorrento centre as well as a very nice beach/lido.
The location of the B&B is excellent. Its right in the main square where the jetty and bus station and train station is. Can't be better. Rooms are very new and clean, they have a nice kitchen with basic food for us in the morning. A good choice, we will definately go back again.
I liked the location comfort and helpfulness of the staff which made for a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was adequate but lacking in variety. was worried when we arrived as the accomodation was not at the adress given- but staff quickly found us and put us at ease
Loved this cute B&B, the managers were so helpful and welcoming, the room was perfect and self service breakfast was good. the view from the roof top is fantastic. perfect location for restaurants, shopping and the port to catch ferry to isle of capri. they are all within walking distance. would definately stay here again!
The location is very good - not far from the railway station and easy to get around, while still very quiet at night. Internal decoration was very modern and breakfast was good. Good value for money considering the price in Sorrento.
Very friendly owners, fantastic central location in Sorrento. Rooms were decorated to a high standard and included fridge, safe and tv/dvd facilities. Amazing roof terrace with panoramic views over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples.
Great location, right in the heart of Sorrento. Good value for money and friendly owners.
The room and bathroom were spacious and perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. There were also free and new dvd-s to watch!
Very new facilities in the room. WIFI. Cappuccino Machine at Breakfast Room. Fridge. Roof Top Window. Conveniently located between Sorrento Train Station, Bus Terminal, Supermarket, Ferry Terminal all walking distance. Just the stairs to climb since no lift, with big suitcase could be a bit challenging
It has a very good location, near the city center. The room was clean and had a great equipment. Panoramic wiew from the terrace. Not easy to find, because it's on the top of the buliding.
Modern, lovely room; great rooftop terrace for relaxing with dinner / drinks No free parking available - paid parking very expensive
My father thought the family was friendly and liked the historical aspect of the building. The rest of us found little to enjoy at this B&B. No A/C, 30+ yr old twin beds put together on cot stand for double bed, cold breakfast only, hard to find, no parking, noisy farm animals from 5am to midnight, teenage daughter left in charge of office during day, no shower/bath only, cleaning by maid only some days. I would not stay here again or recommend it at all.
Our favourite hotel in the region. Wonderful room in an old villa, perfect service (like free internet access, very helpful staff) very nice rooms. We would recommend it immediately! The quality of the bed (mattress) could have been better. Finding a nice restaurant was not so easy.
Nothing When we arrived it was very difficult for us to find it. We spent more than 2 hours looking for it and when we asked people for directions no one knew about it. When we finally found it, we found out that this is a house with no lift and they gave us a room on the 3rd floor, with no lift and we had to pass through loads of toys and barbie doll houses which were laying all over the place. We then decided not to stay at the hotel and asked them to cancel the booking. Maria grazia, the owner gave us a room which was not the one we booked and when I asked her why she told us that alll the other rooms are full. However when I spoke to the receptionist, she told us that we were the only people there and therefore it was not true that the room we booked was full this was a very bad experience and in fact we then had to look for another hotel where to stay. The photos on the website do not match the reality. This was our worst experience when travelling abroad.
It was a very relaxing hotel and fabulous staff
Location was excellent, walking distance to the beach, 5 minutes from railway station, nice quiet rooms (ours #2 was very spacious), lovely terrace for breakfast (we had dinner there as well), quite large selection at breakfast (even cheese and salami), the staff was very friendly, there was cumputer you could use in the lobby (although the printer didn't work), we could use the fridge in the kitchen The coffee at breakfast was terrbile, our air conditioning got turned off so that we couldn't get it back on by ourselves a couple of times (once it was off all night long = HOT), the bathroom leaked water into the room when taking a long shower (I bet there is water damage under the floor)
A very good position to train, and to bus,a good brecfast
Very nice accommodation, this place was perfect for us, easy to go there by train, very good breakfast. The beach at Piano was a great surprise!
it was small and relaxed not like a big hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly would reccomend to stay
Really nice place to stay, helpful and charming staff, the breakfast was delicious, the bedrooms are clean and tidy. Location is perfect (it is not 700 metres from train station :) but it is great location without a lot of tourists)
The rooms and the views and service The breakfast is always the same, many cakes and sweets which are not freshly prepared but prepaked.
The situation was very calm and good with a garden with parking place. Near to the railway station and near to the center of Piano. Very friendly staff.
Best thing about Relais Francesca was closeness to the train station and parking - Breakkfast was a bit limiting
The house is well appointed for being a B&B. The staff is very kind and the house gives very good value for money. The location is not central but it is close to the local railway (circumvesuviana). It is a good place for relaxing as it is quiet. The breakfast is not as huge as what we are used to in Central-Europe, however in Italian standards it is totally OK. The hot chocolate at the breakfast was not so good.
The location was good, near a well connected train station
Simplicity and staff positive attitude. Great local restaurants and views of bay. no
Kind staff, nice breakfast, room no. 1 is big with a big bathroom, free parking area, calm neighbourhood, bus stop close to the hotel, nice view. Only one minor thing: Though having a big bathroom, the shower box is very small, with no place to put soap or shampoo.
Friendly staff, excellent information of activities in the area, on a good bus root, great breakfasts, views of Bay of Naples and vesuvius, short walk from Sorrento, proximity to three excellent restaurants and bar. Truely an excellent hotel There is nothing bad about Hotel Porto Salvo
The staff was extremely helpful in every way possible. Great location about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Sorrento's Square and in a very quiet location. First night realized there was a huge ant problem but staff was more than helpful and we found a way to virtually eliminate all of the little critters. Otherwise no complaints.
very friendly and helpful staff free internet close to the beach and bus stop breakfast ants view
Our stay at Palazzo Starace was wonderful. What I enjoyed most was its perfect location. It was 10 minutes from the train and ferry with a view of the main square and shopping. The owners provided coupons for breakfast at a quaint bar in the middle of the square. Although I did not have a problem with climbing stairs (it was on the third floor), it would probably not be suited to someone who had difficulty. There was a lift for suitcases, so lugging them up the stairs was not a problem.
Very convenient to centre of Sorrento. Had everything we needed for an overnight stop. Room large and comfortable. Bathroom also quite large and well appointed. Good breakfast arrangment with nearby cafe. Not much natural light in our room - and window overlooked airconditioning so not a good view.
The staff were wonderful, and the room was exactly what I needed to relax and unwind...
the location was perfect! the room very nice, clean, new, with nice view at the sqr and the central street of Sorrento. and the price was verry good as well. No, there was nothing that bothers us.
The location was excellent, but the Hotel was initially hard to find. Room was clean. Parking is 10 minute walk away, difficult to get baggage in, must use mechanical pulley system to lift luggage up 3 floors, 70 steps to climb to most units.Bathroom tiny. Breakfast is a croissant and coffee at a local bar a short walk away. Staff non existant, called them on phone, no answer. Amex not accepted.
Good value, quiet location, private balcony.
With area consisting of so many steps, this apartment had 76 steps to get to and consequently put a dampner on the holiday as too tired to climb them after walking all day. To put things in the apartment had to be done once only as exhausted.
The room size was very large which made the stay relaxing. The hotel is more like a private villa/appartment and has little facilities. This is not a problem since there are plenty of restaurants and shops within minutes. It enjoys a very central location, has plenty of character and the staff were very friendly. It was out of season but I consider it to be an amazing rate. I would very happily stay there again and I guess that that says everything. Highly recommended for the price. Nothing. Excellent value for money.
Roberto is a great host. The location is great. Not too far from the train station or the port and very close to restaurants and shops. We loved staying here and definitely will again. Great price for big spacious rooms and bathrooms! No elevator or Internet
Quiet and clean The horrible breakfast provided at a distance bar No elevator, lots of stairs
The rooms were nice. It was very close to the centre of town. The room in the new annexe facing Corsa Italia was very noisy. I would not recommend that anyone stays in the new annexe; the main hotel is probably nice and quiet.
great location, they bring your breakfast into your room in the morning and there is a kitchen and balcony. it is a bit basic but great value for money
The "Gardenia" room was a lovely big bright room with a lovely balcony which has a two ring cooker which was very handy for self catering. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The Breakfast was served in a different location,it was very good. The room was very clean and the location good. Only one key available so when we seperated we had to arrange to meet up which was not always convenien.
The room was excellent. Plenty of room and located in a perfectly central area in Sorrento. Would recommend this place to anyone.
There is no lobby-we had three rooms. it is a renovated building and we saw one girl at check-in in a small office- and never again-after the first day the air conditioning stopped working and no hot water- i tried to call the manager but the phones stopped working also- no service at all The breakfast was a ticket we had to give to the bar next to the hotel and they gave us coffee-roll and choice of juice- that is it- no refills
The room was immaculate Needed more for breakfast, only got a coffee and a cake
Good location, value for money, new facilities No staff available in the location
It allowed us to check out later and the room was very clean and tidy No full day customer service as the staff will only appear at the hotel for a number of hours every day.
The room was well equiped and maintained with great views over the piazza. I was made very welcome by staff/owner who was always available at his bar nearby. Breakfast was not included - but a cafe below the hotel was very convenient in a good location for a small breakfast. The lacation is in the centre of Sorrento close to all shops. Minor point: the was no permant staff at the hotel on arrival. But after a call someone came around quickly.
Very poor breakfast provided by use of a token at local bar otherwise the facilities were very good.
This hotel is very well centered and only fifteen minutes away from the train station, also 10 minutes awat from the main square. As soon as you get out of Blurooms you are in the main street, the heart of Sorrento Make sure to have the mobile number of the owner so that you will contact him as soon as you arrive. Also make sure you get all the keys for all the doors as their is no reception in attendance
Enjoyed my stay at Blurooms. Great room and bathroom - very modern, clean and comfortable and a good size. Fridge in room which is handy as no breakfast available. Good location - central; easy walk 10-15min to train station. Has a balcony which overlooks a nice square. Would definitely stay again. Would be helpful if on the website it is mentioned that there is no reception per se, so to inform owner of approximate arrival time. I arrived and no one was answering the doorbell or the mobile number on the website. Had to contact booking.com who were then able to contact owner.
Owner was so helpful and friendly and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and safe and guide me on trips around town and the area. Beautiful clean and modern rooms.
