location Beds were nice
Air conditioning. Blows right into the beds. Too strong even on low. Loud. Never seen a setup where one of these types of conditioners is on the same side as the bed. Lousy TV service. Glitchy and lousy interface. Room smells old and used. Broken table.
The place was outstanding! Thank you Kendall for suggesting The Bombay Club!
More selection on the tv but I wasn’t there to watch tv Hahahaha, regardless that’s my only thing. Other than that it was perfect!
Great location for NOLA sports games or in town for Business Trip
Very close to SuperDome and Smoothie King Center if in town for games. About a 15-20 walk to the French Quarter if looking for that classic NOLA feel of food, music, historical places including Bourbon Street. However, it a great spot if on a business trip.
It’s a bit of a walk to the French Quarter where most of the Tourists places are in.
Ran into a "problems" with the room (bathtub wasn't draining properly) and that was taken care of swiftly (literally, within minutes of my calling the front desk!). Otherwise, clean, spacious room. The heated pool is a big plus! Worth the extra fee bucks for a pool-side room! The staff was supremely friendly and helpful.
Frankly, I was thoroughly pleased.
NOT worth the price
$300 a night for a Motel 6 class room? Heavy Construction started at 7 AM on a Saturday , right outside our window. Parking Garage was a nightmare
Bathroom was flooded with water from a leaky ceiling
The rooms are a decent size and the beds are super comfy! We enjoyed our stay the staff was super kind and helpful. I would use this hotel again when traveling to New Orleans again! Everything was clean and when we asked if things to do or places to eat the staff definitely sent us in the right direction and we were never disappointed! Look forward to coming back!
The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. They went the extra mile with a smile on their faces and really tried hard to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Very much appreciated.
Had trouble using key card to enter and leave parking garage.
I loved the staff. . From the front desk to room keeping. .. I had an issue at another hotel but the staff Holiday Inn got me in earlier than normal. Very friendly.
My room never got really cold. .. I believe it was a filter problem.
1st time in NOLA
We liked the location of this hotel. Close to a trolley stop and within walking distance to shopping, casino and dining. The concierge was very helpful with pointing out locations to eat as well as getting us transportation whenever needed.
The shower did not drain well and the toilets didnt flush easily. The weather was quite cold during out trip and the poor sealing of the patio door allowed cold air to stream in.
Gave us two twin beds instead of one king, but still charged us for the king.
New Orleans is a city that seems to be its own country within the United States. This great city offers plenty of activities, cuisine, and culture. Staying in the heart of the city is key to enjoying all the great things offered by the Crescent City, and one of the best places to plant yourself is the Holiday Inn New Orleans Downtown Superdome. The location of this hotel is advantageous to folks who are looking to immerse themselves in New Orleans culture. It is a short walk from the hotel to the French Quarter. This is where you can get some amazing Cajun cuisine along with walking Bourbon Street and enjoying the bars. The hotel also helps you get car services as well if you can’t make the walk back to the hotel. The rooms in the Holiday Inn New Orleans Downtown Superdome are excellent because they provide outstanding views of the city along with comfortable mattresses and pillows. Whether you are in a suite or simple room, the key to the hotel is the comfort offered. The pillows are especially comfortable for weary travelers, especially if you’ve spent the afternoon at a Saints game. Finally, nothing is comprehensive about New Orleans unless food is discussed. The Streetcar Restaurant features American cuisine but also flavors the menu with New Orleans favorites. Cajun food is the standard fare, and guests will enjoy eating Louisiana favorites in a comfortable setting. In New Orleans, there’s a phrase, “Laissez les bon temps rouler”, French for “Let the good times roll.” When staying at the Holiday Inn New Orleans Superdome there’s a great chance you will do exactly that.
