Due to its primary location, Hilton New Orleans attracts business travelers because of its downtown location in the business district. However, the hotel can accommodate families and travelers on extended stays.
Located in the downtown business district, about a 15-minute walk to the heart of the French Quarter, Hilton New Orleans is near many business and corporate buildings in the immediate area. The nearby French Quarter and Bourbon Street offer plenty of restaurants and bars. There’s also a bus stop outside the hotel ready to take travelers wherever they need to go in the city.
A variety of features and amenities are offered at Hilton New Orleans to make busy lives easier. An indoor heated pool allows for relaxation, a small fitness center can help guests sweat out the stress, and several meeting rooms and a large business center with necessary equipment are perfect for business travelers. A hot breakfast with a variety of options such as eggs, waffles, and freshly baked muffins, is included in the room rate, plus free coffee is available throughout the day in the lobby. The hotel also offers a free evening social on certain days of the week. There's also a coin-operated laundry and a 24-hour convenience store selling basic snacks and toiletries.
The 166-rooms in Homewood Suites by Hilton New Orleans are spacious and comfortable suites offering convenience for longer stays. One- and two-bedroom suites are outfitted with separate living rooms with pull-out sofa beds, as well as full kitchens equipped with full-size fridges, microwaves, dishwashers, two-burner stoves, and coffeemakers. Cons:Room need updating.
Cons:That we were checked in and never told our room which was purchased as a double room / bath suite was no longer available. Instead we were put into a single room at the same cost and have had to fight and be the middle man between the hotel and kayak / orbitz to get our more than $600 back. Which honestly really didn't make up for our ruined stay cramped into a tiny room with a group. Completely changing our weekend experience for our first trip to New Orleans. We had expected to be compensated and were even told we would be. But were not and still have yet to receive our refund. ;(.
Cons:The complimentary breakfast wasn't all that special, but it got the job done
Cons:The breakfast was horrible and not even close to the standards illustrated on the pictures of their website
