I was able to check in super early. That was soo awesome. I appreciated that sooo much. The location was great. Not in the middle of the action, but not far from it either. The fresh fruit water daily was a plus as well.
Towels were dirty, I called the front desk for towels to be sent to the room. No one showed, I called again and was given an excuse that housekeeping was helping someone bring in lamps. Still no one showed, 2 hours later, I had to go find towels myself. I randomly came across a towel closet. Also looks like the room hasn't been cleaned in a long time, like maybe it was just sitting unused for some time. The couch reminded me of a college dorm couch. Very dirty and ran down. The bathroom just needed one good scrubbing, the makeup mirror was dirty and dusty as well. The saving part was that it was new and updated.
The supervisor (pregnant young lady) was uber nice and very accommodating. The lobby was always clean and the hallways quiet. The location is perfect for walking to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square.
The food in the restaurant was horrible! The worst crab cakes I have ever had in my life. I didn't like that the coffee pot plugs into the microwave, housekeeping never came to my room. I had to go get towels.
It should be included.
no parking and no breakfast included.
The lady at reception was very helpful on arrival. Her name is Carly. I LOVED my room. The size was very generous for a large Queen bedroom compared to other hotels. I loved the city view. I was lucky to get a corner room, so I had beautiful city views on both sides.
The water container in the lobby was removed at one point, and many times I found it empty. It would be nice to have it re-filled more often, especially on hot summer days.
Very friendly personnel. They upgraded my room to a suite with panoramic view. Perfectly located between the French Quarter, the Mississippi and the street cars. Will come back here.
Due to an electrical current the first room was noisy.
