Room could have had more storage. Bed was soft. Towels could be thicker. Should have elevator to garage to manage luggage rather than on street.
Very clean. Lovely entrance in the historic old Sears Department Store. The only thing I didn’t like about the decor are the lights because they looked very 1960’s instead of going along with the very obvious Art Deco architecture. The staff were all excellent except for young man who was working in the front lobby. We assumed he was working to help people with their luggage but he actually just never did anything for anyone and actually he “disappeared” after my husband and our cab driver unloaded our luggage. My husband got one of the luggage carts and put all our luggage on it. The young man suddenly reappeared from somewhere after my husband did that but he stayed far away from us. I guess he was afraid we were going to ask him to help us get our bags to our room, but we had already figured out he wasn’t there to do anything other than observe. LOL It’s too bad he didn’t offer to help us because we tip very generously. We loved our maid! She was sweet and funny. The front desk people were all very knowledgeable, helpful, and very nice. Loved our stay and would definitely book this hotel again. This hotel is in the Central Business District but it’s only one block from Canal St. and the French Quarter.
Cleaning staff came regularly, and were very friendly.
Most rooms had windows that faced inside the hotel, into the hallways. So you didn't get any sunlight, or a view outside whatsoever. Not a deal breaker, but definitely different, and not expected.
Location and staff were excellent.
Beds was clean and comfortable
The garage parking wasnt that good...it was too small
