Clean hotel with comfortable bed and Japanese style amenities. Greatly enjoyed our stay.
Pros. The staff on all levels were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is centrally located so we were able to walk to most of our destinations. The rooms were very clean and the amenities were very nice and upscale. Highly recommend!
Cons. I didn't stay long enough to try the restaurant in the hotel. I want to book another visit soon or at least try to visit the restaurant on a future visit, even if I can't stay at the Kitano!
Pros. Service, service, service! What a welcome surprise, a hotel with carrying employees! Bravo!
Cons. Room would have been too small for 2 people but it was fine for 1
Pros. Larger room, bathroom large enough, shower worked well, friendly accommodating.staff.
Cons. Later checkout time, shouldn't charge for computer access.
Pros. We really enjoyed the Kitano Hotel. We went as a family to enjoy a weekend there but I used to be a travel agent and this is the perfect location for a business trip to New York depending on where your office is. It's at the corner of Park and E. 38th. We got it through Kayak and simply picked it for price and location. It ended up being the perfect hotel for us. It's located very close to Grand Central Station and therefore easy train access to the rest of Manhattan but it's location also lended itself to walking. There are a few nice restaurants in that area that we enjoyed walking to and, of course, a Starbucks just a little over a block away. The hotel is basic in what it offers but what it does offer is nice. We ate lunch at one of its restaurants and it was very good food and the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't eat there for dinner but we heard pleasant music coming from one of their restaurants as we walked out one night. The rooms are small and rather basic but that's all we needed for our purposes. We don't spend time in our hotel when we are in a city like New York so it all worked out. The beds are surprisingly comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Manhattan for family or business travel. It was all great and we'd stay there again.
Cons. Frankly we loved this hotel but the rooms were a little small. If you need room to spread out you'd need to go elsewhere. We had two adults and an adult "kid" and we found it just fine for our purposes though so this was not a problem for us at all.
Pros. Terrific location. Guest Services were very helpful.
Cons. Housekeeping was not up to par with rest of hotel features and services.
