Perfect room location and facilities superbly designed and maintained. Room view and Location of hotel. Good friendly staff. I travel to Newcastle regularly and this hotel is always my first choice. Lovely modern, quiet rooms and comfy beds. Had a wonderful stay at the Melia by the Quayside - just one night for a work trip. Ordered lunch from the Gino D'Acampo restaurant direct to my room which was delightful. I also managed to make use of the gym which is small but fab! The room was very clean and modern. The buffet breakfast was fine but hot food could have been of a better quality. Good location, facilities, friendly staff, fresh decor and very clean. Would recommend! Stayed here for 2 nights and everything about the stay was spectacular. The atmosphere of the hotel. The bar staff and reception staff could not be more helpful. The area the hotel was situated. Clean, modern, airy - room really well set out. Breakfast very good plenty of choice. Good value, excellent facilities, helpful staff, thoughtful extras i.e. complimentary drinks in the fridge were a nice touch. New light & bright hotel , modern facilities , spotlessly clean, lovely bar & reception area. Good atmosphere . Complementary soft drinks in room. Location was amazing the bar & restaurant were great & the staff very friendly & helpful. Wonderful breakfast lots of choice and lovely hot food. Staff wonderful and great views of the river. Immaculate, spacious, modern and comfortable facilities with wonderful views. The staff were extremely helpful and check in was quick and easy. We asked for a cot for our 8 month old but the bed was so huge that he ended up sleeping with us ? We would love to stay again! Modern hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff. Bedroom is a decent size, comfortable bed and the room has everything you’d expect and more. The complimentary water and cans of pop in the fridge was a nice surprise too. Nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area. Great room with excellent staff. The restaurant “Gino” was a gem. Modern , friendly staff , good vibes , lovely refreshing drinks , free In the mini bar , lovely coffee and tea , great location and view over the river. Clean lovely staff and great room. Location right on Tyne, our room was less expensive as no river view. Nice view across the river, staff very helpful, loved the mini fridge stocked with soft drink freebies. Modern and clean. LOVELY LOBBY AND GREAT GINO RESTAURANT STAFF VERY HELPFUL. Amazing view from the room! Lovely hotel, nice modern rooms and great location by the river. Breakfast was awesome and the location was perfect. Location. Clean, great room and really helpful staff. Thank you! Breakfast was buffet breakfast, plenty of options to choose from, I would say it is the best hotel buffet breakfast I've ever had. The location & general appearance of the hotel inside. Really good value for money. We upgraded our room to river view which was 100% worth it. Lots of space and good room service from the in house restaurant. Amazing staff and a good selection at breakfast. Close to river and town ginos restauant was amazing lovely food my lasagna was best I have ever had. Love how the bathrooms are open we have stayed at this chain before and they never disappoint. View from the sixt floor.
What are the cons of staying at INNSiDE By Meliá Newcastle?
Limited parking that needed reserving. Wasnt told about the service charge in the bar area. Riverview room had poor view, was not private and was a waste of money. More vegan options at breakfast- any form of plant based spread would be good. Breakfast was limited. No plain yogurt, mushrooms etc. Bedding wasn’t clean and air conditioning heating didn’t work. Lovely clean hotel. The stairs to get down to the property from the station. Only a personal gripe about not being able to open a window/no fresh air. Aircon/heating is very good and quiet though. Parking is very limited every though there's plenty of parking around the quayside it ends off being very pricey if your staying the weekend. Nothing in particular but always a scope of improvement to do better. Nothing. Spacious rooms, plenty of parking nearby if not on grounds. Gino restaurant is fabulous, delicious food and cocktails :)) N/A. The walls in the toilet of our room looked like they had splashed stains of some type on them Whether that was vomit, drink etc I don't know but that was my only complaint. music too loud. we were given a first floor room so felt like we had to keep out curtains shut so that people weren’t looking in. Car park . Capacity can easily be extended considering customer satisfaction. The insufficient man power will be the main problem as we can not feel any service in this good hotel and I think service is the main key even the hotel provide very good facility. Nightmare! Reception refused to allocate me different room and was not professional. Limited parking but not a problem because there is a multi storey close to the hotel. Parking situation is limited, however, this is completely fine and understandable. It is a shame I couldn't park closer. However, this is communicated with me very clearly from the hotel to park in the nearby multistory NCP.
