When you stay at Inn at the Lake in Newport, you'll be on a lake and 13 minutes by car from Sacheen Lake. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: One of the best B&B we ever stayed
Cons: The view over the lake-
Pros: We felt so blessed while staying at the Inn at the Lake. Not only did we feel pampered by Jody, our hostess, but we were given a room most accomodating to our needs. We plan to return next September.
Cons: We did not like that our travel time was so short. When we come again in September, we will plan to stay longer.
Pros: Everything was perfect, from the moment we walked through the door Jody made us feel like we were old friends. The little details were great. A plate of cookies, a basket of snacks, coffee maker ready to go and rose petals for the spa tub. We will be back.
Pros: Jody, the owner was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Many stairs to get to lake
Pros: Comfortable bed, beautiful views and lake access
Cons: There isn’t much to dislike. It isn’t easily accessible if you have trouble with stairs.
Pros: The hostess was very accommodating & fixed a healthy, tasty breakfast. She also allowed my families members to spend time in the evening enjoying the lake view from her deck. However, if you cannot or should not climb stairs this is not the place for you;.
Pros: Very friendly hosts, room was more than perfect, delicious breakfast, lake was incredible with water toys, definitely will go back
Cons: Everything was wonderful
Pros: The owners were so accommodating. The place was extremely clean. Breakfast was brought to our room and was delicious.
Pros: The owners were wonderful friendly people! The location and views were very beautiful. The breakfast was great!
Pros: The hosts were super accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. It is a beautiful property right on the lake.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Pros: We liked Patricia. And we also liked the beautiful area
Cons: Our room was so nice and roomy with a deck looking out to the river, a beautiful view. Patricia was a great host, so personable. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again soon
Pros: The beds were very comfy, the host was very friendly, the location was beautiful an overall excellent stay
Pros: Nice river-side location that made for pleasant relaxing early in the morning and in the evening.
Cons: We stayed two nights. Our confirmation indicated that breakfast would be included. The hostess made no mention of breakfast when we checked in: none was offered on either morning and on our second morning our hostess was not on the property and could not be reached by phone. We had planned to depart early, but ended up waiting for Penny to return (for breakfast) and to check out. We ended up leaving our contact information as we couldn't wait any longer for her to return. When the charge was sent to our credit card, it was for more than the price on our confirmation. We subsequently communicated with her about this discrepancy and requested a refund of the overcharge to our credit card. She has not refunded the overcharge.
Cons: No formal breakfast laid out, felt awkward when asked what we wanted, reply was cereals didn’t have any cereal last of orange juice was served tasted more like peach or apricot and toast was burnt then scrapped and handed to us in our hosts hand, overall very disappointed.
Pros: Everything was excellent and we loved our host!
Cons: No complaints!
Pros: The location was really something. The house was stunning in its design. The house was absolutely spotless and you couldn't ask for a better host. I arrived late but with no complaints from Penny. We chatted for a while actually. The room was big and comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone passing through this area to stay here.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: Super comfy bed & linens, waterfront location (great for soaking up the sun & taking a dip after a long hot day!). Penny is super friendly & made us feel at home.
Pros: Adjustable bed. Huge jacuzzi tub. Braup view of river. Both
Pros: For us the location was perfect. Penny is diamond in the ruff. She is an amazing positive lovable personality. Her decor is perfect for the location. The area is amazing if you like natural scenery, wildlife and nature. The river is beautiful, she does have a paddle boat that is fun to go out on. It is about a 10 minute ride into town, there is a little museum there. The lady that runs the museum makes the visit worthwhile. If you are looking for a laid back visit, this is the place.

Pros: Clean and cozy
Cons: Breakfast was not good When you use store brand products you should at least use a good brand. Tv had problems and not enough towels or wash clothes for the number of people in the room.
Pros: The bed was very firm--just like I like it!
Cons: I could occasionally hear people talking in adjoining rooms. Odd!
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy. The location was perfect for our needs, and walking distance to several good restaurants. Room was clean and well furnished. And the price was right!
Cons: Toiletries were a bit on the spartan side, although adequate. The property overlooks the Pend d'Oreille River but unfortunately our room didn't have a river view - not sure if other rooms might have. The breakfast was very basic, but at least it was included.
Pros: Bed was super comfy and everything was super clean and neat
Pros: The friendliness of the staff, location and the wildlife begins the place.
Pros: Cute ambience. Beautiful bear carvings. Great staff! Small fridge had a freezer compartment which is most appreciated when traveling with a cooler and reusable freeze packs. There are noticable upgrades and enhancements from our stay here three years ago.
Pros: Rooms were nice, very clean. Continental breakfast was served while we were there and was simple—toast, muffins, cereal, juice, milk and coffee. Great view of the river from the just outside the rooms, and it was very quiet. Awesome carvings of bears throughout the motel.
Pros: It’s was clean and well kept Staff was nice Breakfast was very bad
Cons: Parking lot view Breakfast was a joke
Pros: clean and the room was spacious.
Cons: no coffee in the room
Pros: Price and location met my needs. Internet was good, bathroom was clean.
Cons: Wood Table in room had dried food between the cracks and room service left a partial roll of toilet paper on the back of the toilet but did not replace the completely used roll on the spool. Shampoo and soap were not replaced when used up.

Pros: It was clean
Cons: Problem with internet not working and no one in front office
Pros: Lovely location . Nice personnel .
Cons: You absolutely need to update the air conditioner!!!!
Cons: Neeed bath mat on tub, very slipery for eldery. Need clean matress covers . They were dirty and torn.
Pros: Right on town, close to local shops. Bed was nice and soft.
Cons: Needs updates terribly. Paid too much for what the room was like. Cracks in the wall, damage to the floor, bathroom door didn't lock, rust stains in shower and sink, found hair in the shower and bathroom floor. The attendant was nice, but was not professional in appearance had purple hair and bad oral hygeine. Also it seemed that their whole family, a large family, stayed in the private room on site. Which was a bit strange.
Cons: Nothing for me, I'm a picky eater.
Pros: Location was perfect for our trip and the front desk person was very nice the motel was older and could use an update they had coffee
Cons: They had coffee in the morning but it would have been nicer if you had it In your own room. WIFI was slower than than slow gave up
Pros: Close to restaurants
Cons: Very old and run down. Needs to be updated. Price way too high
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly. It was a good value for the money. It was an old-school motel not a fancy resort. I read a lot of reviews before I went with complaints about this or that. I feel those complaints are unwarranted. If you can’t figure out how to work something or it’s not working, tell the staff. Don’t just sit there and complain to yourself and online. It’s a great little motel and it serves it’s purpose well.
Cons: AC didn’t work. Cubicle shower with no elbow room. Shower hot-cold water mixer didn’t work. Exposed PEX piping in the bathroom. No screens on the bathroom window. Metal bathroom door threshold with sharp edge about half an inch above the floor where you could really painfully stub your toe on it. Hot coffee promised at 6:00. At 7:00 the coffee available was the previous day’s cold coffee.
Pros: It was a very cute place and clean. Nothing fancy but definitely worth the value .
Cons: the rooms were small, crowded. This is off a busy street, The air and refrigerator were both noisy. The bathroom window was large and light shone through to the bed area constantly. The shades were very old, and difficult to close.
