Overall cleanliness was fine. Breakfast was very sub par. My biggest complaint is having room charges pre-authorized on my account 3 days after my stay when I have already been pre-authorized days before for the same charges AND especially when my VISA has already been billed for the stay. It never fails that the hotel tells you to call Priceline and Priceline tells you to call the hotel. The hotel then tells you to call your bank b/c they are the ones holding the funds. WELL, the hotel is the one with your debit/credit card and entering the information. I will not stay at this Hampton Inn again and I will not book through priceline again either. The hotel said that this happens when you book through a 3rd party vendor. So apparently, when you try to save money, the hotel doesn't like it and then you end up with mistakes on your account. Interesting. I will only book through hotels now just not this one.

Cons: Three days after my stay the hotel is still pre-authorizing room charges and holding funds from my account. I faxed paperwork to no avail. They do not believe me and want proof from the bank. All they have done is pass the buck. Won't be back.

Pros: The hotel is older with external access, and driving up we were kinda concerned about spending the night with two young kids. Fortunately the lobby (in an adjacent building) was clean and staffed with very helpful and friendly people. We walked up to our room, and found a clean, nice, freshly renovated space that offered comfort and rest.
Next to the lobby in the adjacent building is a bar which is good f you're looking for country music, beer, and possibly a date. For a quiet evening with a glass of wine...probably not.
The included hot breakfast buffet had good options for adults and kids alike. The updated rooms, breakfast, and the location halfway between Asheville and Knoxville with really easy access to the interstate makes it a good place to stay while traveling through the smokies.

Pros: Top notch staff! Even my children commented on the customer service and kindness of staff without being prompted. Breakfast is excellent, and the staff offered to cook eggs separately to accommodate our allergy needs, without us asking....that is a rarity!
Cons: If I must give a place to improve, the floors in the room were not as clean as I would have wanted, looked as if they had not been swept, and the tub faucet was sticking and very squeaky.

Pros: Friendly and attentive staff, freshly remodled rooms, clean. Dont know where the previous review had their breakfast, but the breakfast bar I ate from was at least 15ft long! One of the better hotel breakfast buffets have ever had. Never got to eat at the attached pizzaria {they serve breakfast in the same place in the AM} The attached bar wasnt my kind of place music-wise, but at least there is something right there for an adult beverage.
Cons: Was looking forward to a soak in the outdoor hot tub, but it was closed. as was the pool, guess my stay was too early in the year.
Parking was very tight on the front side of the complex. If you want to be sure to overlook your vehicle, get a room on the back side.

Pros: These folks were kind and helpful and although they had a very large group of church children there at the same time they made whatever adjustments were needed n made things work.... We'd stay there again !
Cons: the only problem was the kids up and down the stairs late at night - kinda kept us awake a little - and at breakfast time because we all were leaving at the same time - we felt uncomfortable with all the kids - so we ate elsewhere.

Cons: Facilities are a mess: broken keycard reader, water on floor from AC, crumbling popcorn on ceiling, door weatherstripping preventing door from opening . . . the place just needs a lot of maintenance help.

The lever could only be moved a slight amount past the midway mark - nowhere near the hot side - therefore the water was only a minimum above cold!! I would not stay again for this reason only. Pros: From the desk clerk (Paula) to the Manager (Raj), all employees were great. My room was large, clean, and quiet. The king size bed was very comfy and I finally had pillows that were great. The hot breakfast was excellent and was freshly made. For the price, this is definitely a high quality deal. I plan to stay there the next time I am in the area.

Pros: I was pretty surprised with this Super 8, the didn't have any king beds left when I arrived but the double bed room was actually more efficient for me. The staff was friendly and very helpful and room was an ok standard.

Pros: The location was fairly close to our destination and the price was reasonable given that it was an October weekend and the Smoky Mountains were in fall colors so rooms were very, very expensive. Shower was clean and the water was hot.
Cons: The motel was old and rundown. White layers of dust on the drapes and the A/C unit. Key cards had trouble working as did the in-room coffee pot. Worst part were the 8 large bugs on the ceiling around the window we killed.

Pros: The location wasn't bad.
Cons: The fact out room had cockroaches. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls due to the a.c. leaking all over the floor so therefore our carpet was soaked. When we had asked for our money back the guy said no so we was stuck staying.
