It was over priced and inconvenient.
The customer service, beds, and the breakfast Maybe more variety for vegetarian/non pork consumers for breakfast and addition of spa size pool. And one treadmill didn't work.
Really comfortable beds and clean. Breakfast was just okay.
Location It was dirty and the lighting in the hallway was a household floor lamp with no shade on it ! Picture showed pool and hot tub nd whe we got there they were both empty so false advertisement there along with wasted money on a swimsuit! horrible horrible!!!
The rooms smelled funny and we spotted a roach immediately. We ended up checking out 5 mins later.
Nothing This hotel does not deserve a 2 star rating. Probably the dirtiest hotel and hotel room I have ever stayed in. If I had not prepaid, I would have not stayed here!!
Price No pool witch said there was no breakfast witch said there was a free breakfast
Room appeared to be clean. No in room coffee, no breakfast this motel advertised these items. It was not updated at all. Pillows were flat. The shower was backed up. Race weekend andI needed a place to stay or I would have passed on this one for the price.
Absolutely nothing It was in a state of total disrepair. This hotel was ancient, filthy, smelly, and disgusting. If I had not paid for the room ahead of time, I would have walked straight out the door.
Absolutely nothing Room was not clean, lamps had no bulbs, refrigerator and microwave were not plugged in, not enough towels for two people, building was very old and also felt like it might collapse any time. Breakfast area was filthy and there was not enough food,
Leaving it Coffee at reception was ice cold. Heater didn't work in room. Just sketchy feeing environment.
The room was supplied with towels and soaps. Everything was outdated. I couldn't walk barefoot on the carpet,it felt dirty. The toilet never fully flushed. The breakfast was 2 cereal options with a gallon of milk on the countertop. It's a sad hotel.
It was quick and easily accessible from the interstate. It was not taken care of at all. I had to pay extra for my dog and then had to change rooms to a pat room. Which was on the second floor. Which made it more difficult to get to with my dog.
Beds were comfortable. Not real busy so pool/hot tub weren't crowded. Very quiet. Pool and hot tub need resurfaced but overall for a cheap place to stay, I'd come here again!
The beds were very comfortable The layout of our room was a bit like a studio Breakfast was set up early so we could hit the road Convenient fast food and gas for a short overnight Right off of I-80 Didn't have an option for booking online to say that we had dogs - which requires being on the first floor only Ended up paying for a single King but received a single Queen because we needed to switch rooms for our dogs and my credit card had already been charged $10 pet fee per dog
Close to I-80. It had a good price point. The Wi-Fi was very easy to connect to with very clear directions on how to connect. The fridge was a good size. It had a very dirty bathroom with spots of urine still on the toilet seat. The shower has a cloth shower curtain only and it got completely soaked through during my shower leaving water all over the floor. There have clearly been many remodels over the years to this aging building and the craftsmanship of those remodels and retrofits were poor. The heater had a thermostat but truly only one setting, full blast. I had to turn it on and off throughout the evening.
Nothing fancy, but the rooms were clean. Easy overnight stop. Breakfast in the morning was simple but adequate and a nice perk. Nothing fancy here. Some fixtures a little worn and dated.
It was a quiet weekend, and the place was almost empty. So, it was very peaceful . Room was smelly and ran down. The place urgently needs a good remodelation. If we had booked the place the very day we arrived we had saved about $20.00 per night. Poor breakfast.
It had all the things we were looking for. Pool, free parking, internet and breakfast. Restaurants close to the hotel made it nice. The room had a weird smell. Almost like it was coming from the A/C unit. Like old or mold or something to that effect. Big factor to change or improve.
The staff was rude and not knowledgeable. I asked if it would be possible for a double bed room and she said sure (they weren't busy at all!), then came and knocked on my door AFTER I checked in and got kids situated to tell me I needed to pay extra.
The staff was very efficient and breakfast selections were good. Room door frame was damaged and difficult to open and close. One outside access door stayed unlocked, giving anyone access to the building and removing any sense of security that the other key card doors provided.

They accommodated my needs
Nothing. Hotel in disrepair, strong mold/mildew smell in bathroom; hard to be in the room. 'Security' doors held open by rocks. Check-In poor, room number/location/fact that I was traveling alone stated aloud in not-empty lobby. Felt unsafe and grimy.
The room was nice and clean and came with a fridge and microwave and had good TV channels The staff was rude, the pool was ice cold due to it not being heated and the thermostat was set at 50 degrees for the pool room and they wouldn't turn it up. We ended up taking our kids out of the pool 10 minutes in because it was to cold for them to swim
Worst hotel ever! Gross rooms with stains on bedding and disgusting bathrooms! They told us our room was one ofof the rooms that had been redone...GROSS! Checked in at 830 pm and they were doing construction on the hotel! We checked right back out!!@@ NO!
nice clean property. good value for price paid .enjoyed wireless internet
the bed was their and the shower was wet the moment I walked in to the lobby I knew it was a franchise not a company store.
not really. everything was fine.
Location to the race track Vending machines were out of order
Convenient location after visiting the Iowa State Fair.Front desk lady was nice. The bathtub and the sheets seemed clean. The room was in major decay. The room hasn't been touched up in so long that its time to be put out of its misery. Gross walls and surfaces, including a dirty tissue stuffed into the decaying door frame of the bathroom. Ew.
Stayed here on a cross country road trip. The desk clerk recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner which was great. When we got to our room, we were exhausted and went right to bed. In the morning, we found a used washcloth left by a previous guest hanging in the shower, and the shower itself was really gross with mold. The flat sheets used on the bed, of course all came undone during the night. As we were packing back up, we discovered headphones on the nightstand didn't belong to any of us and must have also been left by a previous occupant. The continental bkfst was ok, waffles and other bread items. The trash can was full and the tables were dirty and sticky. Since we were there on a slow Monday morning, we assume this was left from the weekend. All in all, there are other choices of places to stay in this town, so I would check them out before I stayed here again.
The whole hotel had a musty smell to it and there were no clocks in the room. So those of you with allergies I would not recommend staying there. It was hard to talk to the cleaning people because they did not speak much english.

Clean and convenient. Staff was wonderful and very helpful
Nothing The room was filthy
Nithing Yes. Water backed up in sink, no satisfaction from management. Water spilled out of sink during the evening and at 5:00 a.m. It was running over again, floor completed soaked and we could not shower there. We had to leave at 6:00 a.m. and go to relatives
Staff was perfectly nice, but roomw was dusty, dirty and sticky. I would never stay here again.
Not much. The bed was comfy. Electronic door locks broken. Alarm clock broken. Ice machine on our floor broken. Elevator broken. Pool broken. Horrible breakfast - all carbs. Coffee was terrible. Poor customer service. Obviously the owner does not care about maintaining his/her property.
Close to I-80 This is by far the worst hotel that we've ever stay in. The carpet was filthy and damp. Refrigerator has rust inside and smell awful. Our bed only have three decorated pillow not regular pillow for king size bed. The elevator was broken as the cleaning lady told us It has been for at least three weeks. Definitely we will not return back.
Checked in and given a key. Got up to the room and someone was still in the room. Staff cleaning the other rooms didn't speak English. Went back to get another room. At check in, there was no mention of breakfast. Called down to find out, later that night. The next morning went to breakfast, pretty poor. The toaster didn't work on one side, asked the staff about it...he couldn't speak English. Said the boss long ways away, not there much. That seems pretty evident.
My wife and I arrived about 9:00pm and check-in was very quick. We got into the room and set up a computer and the WiFi in the room was very fast with no problems getting on. We had a very good night sleep and found the bed to be very comfortable ( queen bed ). The room was pretty small for a queen size bed. The continental breakfast was just OK. Your choices were very limited.
You are given a handicapped room when you reserve via Kayak/Priceline/etc. The shower was walk in. Water would drain out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. The slope of the floor was not even (missed the floor drain) and a puddle would occur near the bathroom door. This could cause a fall entering the bathroom and is dangerous. The curtains did not block out the security light outside the room. The breakfast was minimal; some pastries, waffles. I am gluten free and had nothing to eat (other Microtels had eggs and sausage). Then they put people who had dogs that barked at night next door, which just completed the worse night that I had. And I didn't even mention the rock hard pillows that I couldn't even use.
