Convenience, location, price, courtesy of staff The rooms are in a separate building to the 'office'. This is at the restaurant a few doors along the street. In principle there is nothing wrong with this. However, as I had to leave early, I paid my bill the night before. I left the keys in my room and then found that I needed to use the outer door key to exit the building - something I had not been told. At this stage I was unable to exit the building and locked out of my room. I could not get to the keys. This may seem funny but at 6.55 in the morning with a train to catch it was not! I managed to get another guest to get up early and let me out. I was lucky. In case of a fire and panicking people or any other emergency, it would not be safe.
It's a nice place with friendly helpfull staff despite the rant below. really steep stairs (closer to a ladder than staris) which did not suit my mother who is 70 and not physically able to climb them. we were booked in for 3 nights. i offered to pay the first night as it was booked and try to find somwhere else. the manager charged the full amount and told it it was my problem as the web site says they have steep stairs (it doesn't by the way) didn't have enough money to find anoter place so pretty much had to carry mum up and down those stairs. Hope your proud of yourself Mr.Manager.
its location was very convienient as it is very close to the bus and train station , and it was clean expensive . very tiny small rooms. and poor lighting
centre of Nijmegen, nice, old house thin walls, you can hear a lot from your neightbours
Excellent location in downtown Nijmegen. The room we were given was in a adjacent building in a calm side street. The room was adequate and clean and even cozy. Heating was adjusted after we asked for it. A very nice and more than sufficient breakfast was served in the Bagels & Beans café that operates the b&b. All in all a very simple but not unsympathetic place. This accommodation cannot be recommended for people who have trouble with stairs. The b&b is difficult to reach by cab as the street is pedestrians only. The room can only be reached through a steep and winding stairs. We had to carry our luggage upstairs ourselves. The bathroom and toilet (shared) are on another floor.
The breakfast and the kindness of the people who worked in the Beans and Bagels café. The person in charge of the internet connection was kind enough to do some troubleshooting in the router configuration so I could use mi wireless with my laptop. That was very helpful and I appreciate it a lot. Only the pillows, which were too big and there weren't other to choose from. Also, the shower door dripped too much water when openned after a shower.
Very nice rooms, good location. Awsome breakfest included!
The bathroom of the room had a plastic curtain instead of a door.
This is an observation, rather than a complaint. Room very small, as also the bathroom. Floors are wooden, so guests can be heard coming up the stairs and in their rooms. Extremely noisy. Stairs steep and narrow, so not recommended for less mobile guests.
Location - in old Nijmegen shopping st. Toilet was in a very small cubicle & wash basin was tiny in shower area
Beautifully refurbished building, wonderful stylish & luxurious room, good attention to detail & friendly, attentive staff.
Perfect service and attention to all our requests. Spatious room, nice design. Current design requires the bath in the room, you have to like this.
Funky boutique design. Sander provides a great, friendly welcome and his staff follow suit. The rooms are excellent and inspired.
It's a small luxery hotel with only 6 suites. Allthough it was very busy because of the Vierdaagse, hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull.Nice detail: Apple with free internet in all the room available.
This hotel had a Wow factor. Recently opened with a very modern appealing style. Free internet and your own iMac in the room with a wide selection of music etc. Great bed, better than my own at home! And a great continental breakfast. I am already recommending this hotel to friends and family and will definitely stay here again.
It was an amzing stay - Hotel and restaurant were fantastic - very helpful staff and a really "cool" "happening" feel about the place......I would compare to Malmaison over here on wow factor. Owner Sander and his wife were very hospitable. No lift we were on top floor. A few drawers would have been good for undewear etc as we were there for 4 nights.
This hotel was fantastic the rooms are very inspiring and well thought out. The bath right next to the bed is a nice touch and the rain shower is a gentle wake up, prior to the lovely breakfast that we were served. All in all it was a very pleaseant stay with a little bit more than i expected when first booking.
We booked last minute, so we paid less for a very very nice suite. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent, very well presented and the price range suited all budgets. No free parking. Parking is only available at nearby public parking garages.
Great design hotel without losing the warm welcome of a small hotel! The fact that every room had a computer with a very good musical selection is a must! Breakfast is amazaing with an always helpful staff!
Easy access and short walking distance to the city centre.
Location, clean room The hotel needs a renovation badly for this name, for this price, and for the 4**** stars. I have felt like in an old movie from the early 80s.
The location was convenient for us. Breakfast may improve.
quite, location close to city centre, easy to find, excellent breakfast, free hotel parking
Absolutly nothing The restaurant was bad, and breakfast too
This hotel was great value and very clean, with a nice bathroom. Although the decor was slightly dated it was very comfortable. The beds were comfy, although we didnt have a double bed, and there was a TV with some english channels! The bathroom and shower were nice too! the staff were nice, with one particular lady in the bar who was really lovely and very helpful giving advice about what to do.The hotel was in a good location, with just a 10/15 minute walk to the city center. The Breakfast was nice, typical continental breakfast but absolutely not worth paying €15 for, plus they did not ask for my room number either time that I went down. The decor was a bit old style but very clean so I cant complain! There was not much to do in Nijmegen on a Sunday but that wasnt the hotels fault. They did have bicycles to rent for €11 each for the day, but it was raining :(. and the 'deluxe rooms' do not have a double bed, they have two twin beds. You pay €20 extra per night for the upgrade.
Location,Silent Beds totally uncomfortable Breakfast poor
Our deluxe double room had been upgraded to a suite. This made an excellent base as we were visiting our son who is studying at Raboud University. The lighting in our accomodation was very minimal. Plenty of table lamps but little main lighting.
I was upgraded to one of the few renovated rooms because of a faulty tv. This room was very nicely decorated, expect ally the bathroom, the wifi worked well and there was a good choice for breakfast The room I had initially been allocated was in need of renovation, dated decor mouldy bathroom etc. the problem with the new room was the temperature, as the upstairs neighbour turned on the heating the radiator pipes in my room were boiling hot. They were also making a lot of noise. And the duvet added further to the uncomfortable temperature, the material it was made of is more suitable for the arctic than for the. Netherlands
The rating was incorrect and the general standard was awful. With noise at night and dorrs damaged where they have been kicked in!
The room was big. It ıs not up to 4 stars standard. The breakfast could have been better.
- Staff is great. -Lobby looks great. - Hotel is incorporated in a museum! very special. - We could put the bicycles inside the hotel at night. -the breakfast tables were very very small, so were the breakfast plates. -room was small. -except for the lobby the entire hotel is exceedingly small. I felt like being in Madurodam. But I guess these cramped quarters are typically Dutch. -No free parking.
Superb views over the river Waal. Bedroom and toilet could have been much cleaner.
Hotel staff was more than professional and courteous!
Very pleasent location on the river front, friendly staff and perfect for touring the city.
The hotel is in a scenic location and the staff are very helpful. The attached cycling museum is a big bonus. The room was quite cold - and the air conditioning did not seem to be functioning to give heat. The breakfast was okay, but not great.
The breakfast was great. The room was very comfortable.
the view of the wall river from our 4th floor window, and proximity to the centre of the old town of Nymegen. Generally a reasonably poor 2-3 star max. hotel, where you pay for the view. if you were on a lower floor, or without view, questionable.
Hotel was in a central position and our room had a great view of the river, with a big tall window. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was minimal, no hot food apart from a hard boiled egg.
The hotel had a lovely setting, very convenient for the city yet quiet and safe
Quaint. Friendly family atmosphere. Attention to my needs. Limited restaurant facility.
A very nice hotel in terms of price/quality. Good breakfast and a very nice Portuguese restaurant attached to the hotel. The only complaint is that the bathroom door was a small wooden shutter, covering only half of the door, which left very little privacy when going to the bathroom.
The hotel staff is very friendly! Also, it has a nice breakfast buffet! The wireless signal is not very strong.
Thought the staff were fantastic especailly Matthias was wonderful. No it was great - simple and clean and in the centre of town.
Very friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Good location. Bar downstairs was quality. Using the shower set off the alarm system, if the door of the bathroom was open. Shower drainage was rather poor.Unable to turn on the heating system. Room was a little cold.
Hotel was basic with small rooms, but adequate for our needs.
Staff were very helpful
in the centre, comfortable, friendly people Administration was not going so well on because I have booked the hotel by internet with my credit card before my stay at the hotel. The staff seemed to be used to get paid during checkout.
location is great, breakfasts are very good, staff are very helpful and friendly my room was too cold
Breakfast rather expensive, location to Schiphol ok, but must pay for the shuttlebus from hotel to Schiphol. rather cool reception.
location - price - comfortable rooms
Beautifully designed spacious rooms—top quality. Attendance to details, from organic chocolates to two different showerheads to fit your preference. Nice terrace for having breakfast, and a French balcony to a nice quite street. Owners are exceptionally friendly and generous. Highly recommended. Nothing at all.
The room was very comfortable and well prepared for arrival
The hotel has now installed large LCD TVs which also have cable TV with a wide range of channels. Staff are very friendly. No
Very friendly staff and well worth the price for a comfortable, clean room with modern bathroom facilities.
Very friendly staff. Central location.
Friendly reception and good breakfast
The location No Bar lounch room
room and reception the room needed more ventilation, but this is normal in hollland
Room was clean and fairly spacious for Netherland. The location was excellent and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was a little dreary, but ample. Hotel could be more generous with soap and shampoo.
pleasant friendly staff and well located in the city for reswtaurants, travel ,parking and even the concert hall, where we enjoyed a brilliant evening of classical music! room lights too dim...impossible to read
