Pros: I love the historical elements of this hotel. The rooms are large, elegant and quieter than the newer Davenport Tower across the street. The staff are friendly and upbeat. The special touches include a nightly turndown with peanut brittle candy.
Cons: The only thing I don't care for about this facility is that the atrium area of the main floor always feels dark. There is a lot of beautiful dark wood, andiIt is true to the original era I suppose, but when I took my book downstairs to read, despite the sunny day, the room was too dark to read in. It's such a beautiful room, I always want to turn the lights up a but brighter.
Pros: I liked the all around excellent service from the valet parking to the turn down service.
Pros: We stayed in the davenport towers and it was great. This was very short notice and everything from the valet to the room to the dining was first rate. I'm not sure why its not rated as a five star. This was the best value I've ever had in a hotel stay.
Cons: Can't think of a thing
Pros: The staff was very nice. The breakfast was slow which it shouldn't be. The staff was great.
Cons: The cooks for breakfast need to speed it up a bit. I don't consider breakfast a "dining experience" like I do at night. Too many things to go do
Pros: Fantastic, historic hotel that is beautifully decorated.

Pros: Staff was nice and helpful, clean rooms and linen.
Cons: 2 of the 3 rooms was not read till after 1hour and a half after check in
Pros: Service was excellent. Room was very clean, ac worked really well, comfortable bed. It was a very pleasant experience. Grandchildren got to come and swim, they were very happy.
Pros: Good location, facilities and staff were very helpful. I like the idea that the pool and hot tub are open 24 hours. The breakfast is excellent as well.
Pros: Always a great experience. Love the hot breakfast!
Cons: Our mattress was a little too firm in this room.

Pros: Great fitness room. Was able to watch kids swim in the pool while getting a workout in.
Cons: When I asked for more complimentary items, they only had available what was in the room. In the room was not enough for 4 people. The breakfast room was set up in a way that was unsafe and not efficent for the number of guests. The plates and plasticware need to be set up at one end away from the hot waffle maker. The waffle maker and plates were set up in the corner and a lot of crowding occurred. Very unsafe! My son almost got pushed into the waffle maker.
Pros: Staff was awesome. A little disappointed that our room didn't get cleaned the first day, had even left a tip for the housekeeper as I have done that job for many years.
Desk staff and breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Our room did not get cleaned on our first day.

Pros: I inadvertently reserved the wrong date yet the staff was exceptionally accommodating to keep us at the hotel the day we arrived. A lower rate was offered. There was no charge for the service dog. the dog received a complimentary travel bowl and treats. We received complimentary evening light fare and wine and the cost included an exceptional breakfast buffet. The room was clean, modern and quiet.
Cons: Everything was marvelous!
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: No bathroom exhaust fan
Pros: The overall hotel.
Cons: The lounge/restaurant staff.
Pros: We liked the location. The hotel itself was clean and the walking access to downtown Spokane and Riverfront park is fantastic. Even the complementary food and drinks were nice.
Cons: The walls were very thin and the neighbor had a crying baby and toddler that drove us from our room. We understand it's the not the hotel's fault, but when we inquired about being moved to a different room we were met with some rudeness and told to "wait an hour or two" and that they would call the room and request them to quiet down. Good enough. However, the call never happened and the children did not quiet down. We inquired again at the front desk and were told they did not call the room and when we asked why not we again were met with a rude attitude. We left for dinner and returned to a fairly quiet room later that night. At 5:50 AM we were awoke by a phone call to our room phone. A gentleman introduced himself as "Charles from the front desk". He said a computer glitch had occurred and they needed to verify a number of occupants credit card info, we would just need to come to the front desk OR if we want, give him the info over the phone right then. We opted to go to the desk and he opted to hang up before we told him that. Later at the front desk we learned there was no "Charles" that work there. This room was targeted for credit card theft along a number of others and I wouldn't be surprised if he succeeded. We reported this to the front desk and were treated poorly a third time, however the manager did come out to talk to us and take all our info about the phone call and was a very nice person.

Cons: Carpets were a little dingy. The elevator is small
Pros: the room was spacious, clean and quiet, comfortable beds
excellent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff
I would stay here again

Pros: Very nice, big suites, close to the casino with 24 hour shuttle service!!
Pros: Great rooms, roomy,
Cons: Shower head lacked pressure otherwise, a overall great room.
Pros: Cleanliness and location
Cons: Not one thing..
Pros: Very clean and feels closer to home than a regular motel plus it was very quiet which to us is a huge benefit since we live in the country.
Pros: Large Living room
Cons: Noise. Road noise and air conditioning noise. Small beds.
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: A hot tub and pool area would be great

Freebies like WiFi, self parking, and wired Internet are added perks, and guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, downhill skiing, and snowboarding. Apartments feature bonuses like kitchens and washers/dryers, along with pillowtop beds and living rooms.
Cons: It reminded my partner of the movie Derailed.....
Pros: Benjamin the valet/bell boy was sooo professional and nice, great young man! Bathroom was large. Allowed us to check in early.
Cons: The $17/night parking was a joke. Its a couple blocks away and you have to pay every time you exit and enter. Hotel was supposed to give us some credit back, but they didn't. Room service charges seemed exceptionally high. No fridge in room. TV cabinet doors just swung open, they didn't recede back into the cabinet which I found odd and it took up a lot of room.
Pros: lovely, very nice rooms and bathrooms
Cons: Too expensive!

Pros: Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. We found our new home away from home in Spokane.
Pros: We chose this hotel because of the sky bridge right into the performing arts center. Pleasantly surprised at how nicely appointed it is. Also ate dinner at "13" which was very tasty. Very comfortable, striking views from the 16th floor over the Spokane River. Convenient to downtown attractions too. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: All of the pillows were very soft and squishy down-like consistency. It would have been nice to have a couple of firmer pillows in the mix. No extra blanket in the room.
Cons: Carpet on floor in hallway
Pros: Nice bed and shower
Cons: The last 2 times we have stayed here, the room has not been ready, By 6pm, it was pushing our 7o clock dinner reservations. Also in a suite, which comfortably fits 10 people, we were unable to have more than 4 people in the room.
Pros: Beautiful modern room! No coffee pot or mini bar in the room.
Pros: Very nice hotel, beautifully appointed and fantastic location
Pros: very new, nice, clean, high quality of workmanship,
Cons: One might think that when you pay $200+ per night that you would get all the bells and whistles. My bride and I recently stayed there and felt that when you are a guest parking $17/day should be included. if you want to have a refrigerator brought to your room it is $10/day. I kinda felt like the human factor and personal touch was missing from our stay. Multiple employees knew we had just gotten married and none seemed to care. I had always heard of nice hotels doing sweet things for guests celebrating weddings or anniversaries, so maybe I had high hopes.

Pros: The room was really nice, bed and pillows are awesome. Would stay their again, kid friendly. Like the walk in shower too.
Cons: The meal we had at the safari room was not that good. Disappointing since its not cheap to eat their, expected better from the Davenport.
Pros: The Davenport is my go-to place to stay in Spokane. Close to everything downtown. I prefer the ambiance of the old Davenport but the tower is nice and no hesitation about staying there again.
Cons: Main lobby was noisy and crowded and hard to find quiet area to sit / talk and have a drink. Very congested area.
Pros: It's a very busy hotel with great staff. The location allows for lots of dining choices.
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer.
Pros: Convenient to restaurants and stores
Pros: The beds were great and clean rooms
Cons: Didn't like that there were barking dogs waking me up and in the lobby as I walked by and another person was going to pet it. Staff wasn't awesome either told the front desk girl that we would put the parking on a different card at check out, she nodded and said yes perfectly fine! Then the morning of check out received the bill slipped under the door before check out all charged to the card I ask specially it not to be. So bad communication on their part.
Pros: The location to all of the restaurants and wine tasing rooms was great. You can walk anywhere downtown and to the riverfront park. The beds are really comfortable and staff are super friendly.
Cons: $17 to self park seemed a bit high for Spokane, but the overall value that this hotel represents makes up for the parking fee.
Pros: Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds and pillows, nice amenities. Turn down service was great! Bathrobes in the room a plus!
Cons: Hot tub and pool area a bit too small. Water pressure was a bit low.
Pros: Great location, nice decor, friendly staff.
Cons: Room service was bad. We placed an order and was told 15 mins. 45 mins later, we called and was told it was coming up. But they brought the wrong order. Caked again the right order was brought up. Customer service needs improvement.

Pros: Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, a great stay!
Cons: Very hard to find in the dark!
Pros: Cleanliness, courtesy, large rooms, great breakfast service, I really can't say enough about our room!
Cons: No restaurant on premises, smallish gym, lighting in the rooms was a bit funky
Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub area were quiet and relaxing, we LOVED that it was available 24 hours.
Cons: The restaurant was expensive for the quality and portions. The breakfast buffet was poorly organized making it very difficult to navigate through all the hotel guests.
The movie selections were very basic and the prices were ridiculous, almost double the price of going to the theater!
The room was so pretty. We would suggest the rosewood suite to anyone and give it a
Five star rating. I am not sure how the three stars got there.we only used the king bed and slept well.
Pros: Super friendly staff! The beds were comfortable and the floor we stayed on was quiet. Everything was very clean. I want to stay there the next time we're in Spokane!
Pros: Bistro ! Great to not have to leave the hotel to find dinner. Serving Maryhill wine's was a plus. Just need to move the wine selection up a notch.

Pros: Hotel amenities were wonderful, pool, spa, sauna, hot tub, free snacks and food. Very upscale yet affordable, friendly staff, and beautiful scenery.
Cons: Nothing at all, everything was excellent.
Cons: They gave me my key and when I entered the room there was a guest already checked into it!!
Pros: Staff are always friendly and helpful. Check in and check out is easy. My room locations have always been quiet, clean, and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast and evening beverage is nice. There is a great path along the river for walking. Oh yes, and there is a Home Goods Store across the street :)
Pros: Free drinks
Cons: There was a mistake with our registration
Bathroom was tiny
Oxford Suites Spokane Valley puts you within a 15-minute drive of Gonzaga University and features a free airport shuttle (available on request). The restaurant is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, and after visiting the fitness center for a workout, you can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. An indoor pool and a spa tub are offered, and in-room conveniences include refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: Wont go back. Beds horrible. Couldnt sleep. Could hear neighbor room like there wasnt a wall there. Loud sex at 2 in the morning. No sleep and not rested
Pros: I loved the decor - it felt so luxurious. The surrounding neighborhood was wonderful to stroll around, and the nightlife seemed really interesting. Everything about this place is thoughtful and enjoyable.
Cons: The complimentary breakfast was nothing to brag about, but it rarely is, and it didn't diminish my experience one bit. There are plenty of places nearby to enjoy a more full breakfast experience.
Pros: I loved everything about it, no complaints!
Pros: The room was great, and the history and character were well preserved through the restoration. The hotel will be even better when the surrounding construction is finished.
Cons: No in house breakfast, but they offered discounts and complimentary breakfast at the Ruby Hotel, less than a block away.
Pros: Picked the Montvale for it's location and price, was very pleased with the quality of our room. I would say adult only simply because of it's location to bars (they're good bars though) and lack of breakfast options in the immediate vicinity. But the Satellite Diner and Sante are only short walk away. We also discovered that Post Street Ale House serves breakfast, which was awesome.
Cons: The Montvale nor Hotel Ruby are really set up to serve a proper breakfast, props on the Thomas Hammer Coffee though. Luckily there are food options downtown. Post Street Ale House serves awesome breakfast nachos and Sante is a personal favorite for breakfast.
Cons: $10 extra per day parking, trains, limited breakfast selection
Pros: Loved the old class with a touch of modern. Breakfast was a block away, and small amount of parking. But if you love the elegance of 1800's architecture; then this is a definite yes!
Pros: Large rooms, comfy beds, right across the street from the fabulous Fox theater and an historical building to boot.
Cons: Being only three floors high, there is a bit of street noise heard in the rooms. Nothing the hotel can do about it.
Pros: Eve is fantastic and now they have free breakfast
Cons: Wifi doesn't work well
Pros: When we were looking for somewhere to stay Montvale seemed great because it is located right in the middle of downtown, just a walking distance from everything. It seemed great.
Cons: When we got there however we found the site we reserved the hotel through wasn't as truthful as we thought. There was no hotel parking so we drove around for 20 minutes trying to find somewhere to park, there was a $30 fee we were not informed of in case of damages that I haven't even received back, and if you are under 21 you have to have someone at least 21 staying with you which the site did not say either.
All these things could've cause my trip to Spokane to go very badly if I hadn't conveniently been able to work around them.
Also when we FINALLY found a spot and went inside the lobby there was no one at the desk. We waited for a good 10 minutes and no one showed up, it was only about 10:30 pm when we arrived. I finally used the phone and called the number on the desk they left and no one answered until the second time I called.
After another 10 minutes we received our room keys and went inside. I was exhausted from driving for 8 hours and immediately went into the bathroom to take a bath.
In the bathtub there were about 5 hairs. Of different colors and lengths that were not mine.
It grossed me out so much I just went to sleep instead.
All in all the trip went very well and I was grateful for the tea and coffee the hotel served night and day even though there were a few bits I did not expect.
Pros: Location was pretty good. The history and architecture made the hotel fun to be in.
Cons: No on site restaurant was my only complaint but I would stay there again.
Pros: High ceilings, fun interior, historic feel, nice staff
Cons: Parking was AWFUL
When you stay at Montvale Hotel, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Riverfront Park and Spokane Arena. Guests looking for a bite to eat can check out the 2 restaurants, and the bar/lounge is the perfect spot to grab a drink at the end of the day. Rooms at this romantic hotel offer up nice touches like premium bedding and designer toiletries, along with room service and free WiFi.
Pros: Using the pre-checkin was a breeze. Friendly and helpful staff. Having full breakfast ready each morning was a real time saver when you're trying to get out the door for meetings. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Especially liked that pets are welcome without any additional charge.
Cons: the bed and the shower
Pros: The staff was very helpful, friendly and concerned with assuring I enjoyed my room and had what I needed, both the evening check in staff and when I checked out.
Cons: Everything was perfect!

Pros: The hotel itself is in a great location and the staff are so amazing and wonderful. It's a clean hotel with modern touches and the included breakfast is SO GOOD. Rooms were large and clean and quite comfortable.
Cons: There was one day (out of 4) that room wasn't cleaned, but we brought it up and they addressed everything. The parking garage was great, but not much space so be sure to get a spot while you can. In all honesty though, there wasn't much that I didn't like or bothered me.
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked. Everything was in great condition. The location felt very safe.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and the location is good.
Cons: The rooms are quite small and in need of an upgrade. They gave us a room on the second floor with a view of wall. Although the room was tidy when we arrived, there were signs of wear: stains on the chairs, hole in the shower curtain. For the price, I would go somewhere else.
Pros: Nothing. Average property
Cons: I have stayed at this property a second and final time. Gave them a chance to redeem themselves and failed miserably. As a downtown location parking is a substantial amenity and only street parking was available. When will we hold hotels accountable for their advertising. General Manager promised to make things right with a discount via email and I am not surprised there has no follow through on that empty promise as well! RUN do not walk away from this property
Pros: Easy access on foot to all the major stores, sites, and facilities in beautiful downtown Spokane.
Cons: Parking is a bit challenging small outside lot and indoor parking garage is great but, small spaces!
Pros: I loved the staff!! Everyone was incredibly sweet and helpful, we had two young kids and even without a pool they had an absolute blast! Great cookie time and breakfast was awesome for being included! Will stay again!
Cons: I got nothin
Pros: clean and comfortable, modern decor and amendments, full free breakfast
Cons: moderate road noise due the location of the hotel at the corner of two streets
Pros: Good location and ample parking
Cons: Horribly uncomfortable bed led to very little sleep. Tons of noise came through from the street and the neighboring room (at 1:30 am). Will not return or recommend.

Pros: The room was excellent, the hotel was close to the airport and close to the people I needed to visit.
Cons: There was nothing negative.
Pros: Very clean, nice rooms.
Cons: Walls were super thin. I could hear snoring from one direction and a sick or pissed off baby from the other all night long.
Pros: Excellent room with every thing we could have asked for a very small price. The breakfast was the best part.
Pros: Everything was clean and appeared new or very well maintained. Breakfast was the typical free breakfast fare. They did have a DIY waffle maker, that was a plus.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Pros: Rooms are clean
Cons: The steet light out side the building was shinning in the room. The curtains did not block the light. There also was a smell. Like an old smell. Overall I like to stay at wingate motel. I still felt the room was clean.
Pros: It was clean and comfortable. The shuttle took me to my conference and was very prompt.
Cons: The way the front desk is set up.....each time I went to ask something at the front desk, no one was there. There was a wall with a back room and I had to wait for someone to peek out.
Pros: Room size is great, quiet even though it is right next to the airport. Very convenient.

Cons: Hot tub was out of order the first night, but was fixed quickly.
Pros: Location to the airport
Pros: The ease of parking .

Pros: The room was nice enough - a king bed with a pull out couch for our five year old. The breakfast is well done for a free hotel breakfast, and the staff is attentive. The pancake machine completely made our daughter's weekend! She was certain it was magic b
Cons: It was our bad luck to be traveling to the Spokane area during Hoopfest and CDA Ironman weekend, when we had no interest in Hoopfest or the Ironman at all. We, of course, had to pay a ridiculous room rate for the weekend because of it. Upon arriving, we found that there is a rather tacky bar in the hotel parking lot - not exactly the quiet location we were hoping for. I was thrilled to find our room was directly overlooking the bar as well. The drunk people smoking and yelling in he parking lot at midnight and later was a true bonus.
We arrived late to check in, and found a rather large wet area on the carpet at the end of the bed. When I called the front desk to report it, I was told that because of the hour there wasn't anything that could be done. Ok, that's understandable, but it wasn't addressed the following day either. So we had lovely, soggy carpet all weekend.
The pool is just above the size of a king sized bed, and was pretty cloudy and dirty. My daughter will swim all day to the exclusion of anything else, so I was lucky enough to get to swim in said dirty pool three separate times over the weekend. Two of those times I had to call and ask for towels to be brought in because there were none available and the towel bin was overflowing.
Overall it was a lackluster visit at best. The hotel is grossly overpriced and the location is not ideal. I will almost certainly choose another hotel when we return to Spokane.

Pros: The room was clean and nice, the Keurig was great to have with real creamer and not just the powder, the bathroom was so nice with the big shower and jetties, the beds were very comfy with good pillows. We were very pleased with the room.
Cons: The only thing was that our toilet kept running. I had to get up in the middle of the night to fix it.
Pros: Nice, clean room
Cons: Checking in computer froze--half hour delay. Elevators broken--walked up and down to fifth floor. Ordered room service and it never arrived--went to bed hungry. Other than these things, it's a nice place but expensive.
Northern Quest Resort And Casino is just 3.7 mi (5.9 km) from the airport and offers a free shuttle (available 24 hours). Pros: Was nice to stay in a clean place! Front desk gal seemed a little spacey but was still acomidating! Definetly would stay there again!
Cons: Hall ways/lobby smelled a little gross...
